With a bit of spare time in Pukekohe this evening I put the time to good use to take a tiki tour and pick off some caches. No one hereabouts this evening so I wasnt going to be disturbed. I need not have worried though as I had the right idea and had the cache found in seconds. Thanks Stik-a-crane#5271Logged using Cachly.
**21,064**Unfortunately, we missed the Mega but we found the cache so that was some consolation. Quick find at night by headtorch light. TFTC
We popped in quickly to try find this in the rain. We ignored the muggles driving past but after a good hunt and the gps flicking around we couldn’t find the cache. We checked everything remotely magnetic as per the hint but to no result. The grasses/plants in the area between the parks has been recently trimmed so hopefully that hasn’t effected the hide.
We’ll be back
We’ll be back
Been out and checked on this one - as suspected original cache is still hiding in original spot. Did a bit of log maintenance adding an extra layer of protection - hopefully this helps it stay dry.
Will check up on this one soon when we are next in the area - however if you are a fairly new cacher and haven't found a hide like this before then hopefully this will increase your skill set as the cache is likely still in place as it wont be anything a muggle will see.
Just a quick look today as there was a truck with a dog parked right next to where I needed to search. No find for me, but there was a QR code nearby which took me to a munzee site, which I’d never heard of. Will come back another day.
I'm still trying to work out how to do these caches quietly!! Luckily no one around on Matariki afternoon.
Took us a while as we were waiting for an opportune moment on a busy day. Awesome hide. TFTC.
I've been passed this spot many times but never quite at the right time to try my luck. After recycling my polystyrene packaging at Mitre 10, the sun was shinning and the area was quiet. A quick find having seen a similar hide elsewhere in South Auckland. TFTC. TNLN.
Day 24 of our retirement/ New Year/see the family/ Mega holiday. Very strong paint/ thinner smell on another 28°C day. Poor builders. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. Put in a replacement log sheet (I think).
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Today we did a little cruising around to the Franklin area. Will this long hot summer never end?
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

oops! forgot to log this! was a rainy day and of course no one in the carpark! Found with Keylev and kids. tftc
Out and about with cragger, laval and B4Dawn. Had planned a nice walk but the weather was not playing ball so we decided some drive by caches would be a better option.
No it certainly was not a missed MEGA. I remember this 2015 adventure well - so much fun!!
Thanks for the cache.

Heading home from a girls day caching with Supernannny, Merlot59 and Nette1234 we stopped to collect a few caches in Pukekohe. We had attempted a multi final down the road, and a muggle was keeping an eye on us so we left the area to find a couple of other caches before returning to collect the multi final. Not too many cars or muggles around and we found the cache in the first place we looked. TFTC
Heading home after a day caching in Waiuku with Supernanny, Jag50 and Nette1234 we decided to collect a few in Pukekohe as we passed through. Lucky it wasn't too busy here today
When you know where it should be but you have to dive in for a quick feel around between muggles! Glad to have that one out the way at last! Log too mangled to sign tho.
Covid-19 Level 2 announced.
I will be out to check the log on this as it appears to have been damp.
Happy to be found.
Keep safe all.

After criss crossing the countryside in search of crayola crayon caches, I had a bit of time and energy left to go and find a few more. I headed to Pukekohe for brunch and then went off in search of more caches. Had to wait for a muggle to move on before searching here. Cache log a bit damp but I was able to leave my mark. TFTC, Biggles.
Found a couple of days ago with JutyBug - cool hide! Luckily had come across something similar back home. No muggles around, so were able to park and grab between showers. TFTC
Up in the area on a mission of help so checked the mega out for supplies a quick little detour to the cache TFTC
We almost didn’t attempt this one as we could see where it would be but there was quite a lot of activity in the carpark. But fortunately some muggles parked right beside GZ and their car gave us the cover we needed so we dashed in for a quick retrieval.
Thanks Stik-a-crane for the challenge.

Picking up a few caches in the Franklin area this afternoon. We came into Pukekohe and headed over to the Mega. We were able to park very close to GZ and use our car to partially shield our activities from any Muggle eyes - not that there were many anywhere near us. A quick find in the obvious spot. Thanks.
Decided to take a break from my studies and spend the day out caching. I offered to also take out my 2 nephews and niece along with me. We decided to head out to Pukekohe after picking up my nephew in Opaheke.
Perfect time to find this as all the shops were closed for Anzac Day. I had the cache in hand before the kids had even gotten out of the car.

While I was looking for this, someone stopped and offered me a cigarette. He thought I was scrounging for cigarette butts!
Was out and about today and thought of finding a cache.I was shopping at Pukekohe and saw this on the map. All the shops were closed for the day when I arrived so searching for the cache was a bit easier as there were less muggles around. After 10 minutes the cache was soon found . Thanks for the cache Stik-a-crane . TFTC!!!
On a hunt for some caches around town, caching in the evening works in our favor with everywhere being quite and made for easy finds. Thanks for the placement and our first time being in this town.
Geocaching day in Pukekohe. This part of the town visited on my bike. Seen already few of them in Wellington before so it was quick find for me at GZ. TFTC
It has to be here somewhere, but where. Maybe there, take a squint, noooo. Where else? Got to be there. Aha! Grabbed from the first place I thought of. TFTC
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend and this was day two. It was a late one last night so today we figured we'd take it easy and try to clear Pukekohe out today before heading home. This was the 3rd stop and the cache was found stranded like a castaway. We stepped onto it's little island to retrieve but the log is toast and definitely needs replacing. Cheers Stik-a-crane, TFTC

Wonderful weather today so I decided to make a Little trip to Pukekohe and do some Geocaches.
Nice hide, found it quick!
Thanks for hiding!

ha, two minds and bodies needed for this one - supernanny did the locating and I did the stretching and reaching
Was a bit tricky to access as water water everywhere.
Gumboots would be handy!
This was a new styled cache for wetbootsnz ....
But she kindly stepped up; or was it over....and worked it with my encouragement from a dry area!

There was a moat of water around this cache so managing to get one foot on terra firma and the other pretty close to the cache it must have made quite a sight if anyone was around to see it. Cache soon located but the log book is quite damaged but managed to sign. TFTC
I had an appointment down this way this evening. Once that was out of the way I decided to collect a few smiles before home. I parked up next to GZ and got to searching. Tried one side withou luck. Got it when I checked the opposite side. Log is damp and getting tatty. Cheers for the cache placement!
Returned again and was successful today! Log is soaking wet so put in a new dry strip in a zip lock bag. Signed as BRX as found with RX2000. Thanks for the cache!
The clue confused us as to why the container was commonly despised, I guess some people don't like these ones. We don't mind!
We had to wait a minute or two before going right in to GZ as some muggles were walking by. They soon passed so we were in really quick to get the cache. Quickly signed and returned it to its spot. TFTC
Joining HKCB, 11hpg11 and iammrwalker on a geocaching mission to Pukekohe on a school night.
Our final cache was a quick one on the way out of town.. there were talks of finding even more but we had a preset curfew but we definitely could have kept caching until sun up. A couple of us in the team playing pokemon so a quick stop to grab some on the way out.

I decided to organise a mini night mission to Pukekohe before things got busier at work and found some other keen Geocachers in HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r to join me after putting the feelers out for any interested parties at a local event. We left about 7:30 once I got the kids into bed and left for home just after midnight. We had hoped to find more than we managed so we will have to come again and grab those we missed. A big thank you to all those CO’s for hiding and maintaining the caches we found.
After making the find hpg announced she had nabbed a Ponyta while playing Pokemon Go (great multi tasking) so I turned the car around and made sure I caught it as well

Out and about tonight, heading to Pukekohe to clean out a few caches with Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and HKCB. We only had a few hours to spare and so we left Hamilton at 7.30 and finished up just after midnight before it was time for home for a few hours sleep so we could all be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next day. (silly idea!) Perhaps next time we just keep going and don't sleep!
A quick find here, I jumped out and grabbed the cache and grabbed a ponyta on the way in as well. Multi tasking at its finest.

Teamed up with Iammrwalker, 11HPG11 and Kyb3r for a night raid on Pukekohe. I've been wanting to find a few caches up here for a while but never had the time or other missions got in the way. Had heard talks of this night raid at an event recently and quickly put my hand up to tag along. It turned out to be a very successful mission, even with the handful of DNF's we had. A big thanks to the CO's who's caches we found. Signed the logs as HOAC to save room.
Last find of the night, a bonus was a ponyta was spotted nearby on HPG's pokemon go game. Thanks for the hide.

Down in Pukekohe area to pock up some parts and thought would attempt a few caches on the way back to office.
Saw this one was owned by Stick-a-crane and as we know them just HAD to attempt this one as well.
Initially parked up but to far away from GZ. Repositioned my car just as the local police made their drive by rounds. They gave me a really good look as I was parked so far away from the shops in a relatively empty car park.
I made a big play of using my phone but thought I might end up having to introduce them to geocaching if they did stop!!!!!
Luckily they carried on noticing what a upstanding citizen Mr NZT is..
Jumped out of car and made the very quick find and returned to car to sign the log. Then jumped back out to replace the cache.

2382 No water today but slippery under foot. Also left a jandal print so did a dance before I left to cover it.
11.20am - Quick circle around car park and we soon honed onto GZ. Able to collect cache even though it was surrounded with water. SLTFTC
