This is day three of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter to Dunedin so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University.

The first two gruelling days were a mad dash to get there and unload my van full of her stuff at her new flat. I earned the eight days to drive back home finding caches all the way.

I followed a young lady down the path, which turned out to be a walkway to their house. As I started searching they both came out to see what I was up to. He had helped others find the cache, so he showed me where to look. I was thankful they didn't call the police. The coords should probably be about S45° 53.085 E170° 29.594. TFTC.

Spot the drowned rat trying to cache in Dunedin. Between constant rain and missing caches, I would be lying if I said I’d be back. Bring on some sunshine for you locals soon! Thanks for the cache.

Silly app not working correctly, this should have been logged on the day....

One close to home been saving as an emergency dot day .... and today is that day. Had to get MinionOne to drive me down and sent her hunting and bring the cache to me as I was really crook - am not going to have this single mark on my record - I want them over and done with. Felt bad as the phone GPS turned out to be 10m out.... but found yay. Now back to the sofa.

05-Aug-18
Went up the steps but had to keep going as muggles going down and then had to wait while jogger went by and then looked for broadleaf . Found then found ,quick sign before more joggers came by. Tftc.

Out with the dog for a walk. TFtc. Log book a little damp but could still sign log.

18-May-18
Co-ordinates took me towards an old stump by someones gateway. Gave it a through check before realising that it didn't fit in with the title. Looked around and quickly spotted the object and then cache about 12m away.

30-Mar-18
Didn't find it but also had to cut search short when local muggles started having a fight at the bottom of the stairs.

While visiting my cousin in Dunedin before heading up to Oamaru for the Geofest, we went out to find a few caches. Nearing the end of our day, this was the last for us but unfortunately I couldn't locate this cache (didn't want to search too close to people's house near letterbox). I saw mention of updated co-ords but didn't have all logs on my GPS and is not until now that I could see the log with them. Will see if I have time afterwards to maybe try again for this one. Love the steps!

14-Oct-17
Relatively quick find good camo.TFTC

12-Jun-17
Quick find with no one about. Updated coords from an earlier log took me straight to it. TFTC

04-May-17

27-Apr-17
GPS was well out but could tell this easily from the map because I wasn't even on the path! Easy find and scored a knowing smile from someone as they walked past. TFTC

24-Mar-17
Found with AF BEE while on a great geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.

12-Mar-17
Found with GreencGecko's and Seffnjarah.

Having completed a five day tramp over "Five Passes" in Fiordland National Park to claim first to find on a long unloved remote alpine earth cache, our reserve "bad weather days" are now free for us to go caching. So, we hired a car for a road trip looping around southern parts of the South Island, including a full days caching in Dunedin.

After a miserable cold morning caching in the rain, we bravely ventured back out to collect a few more caches. In our wanderings, we stopped and grabbed this one. Coordinates were a little astray, but some geo-logic got us there. Thanks for the cache, 111PAF

This was not far from our previous find so it was another convenient stop on our travels today. Initially we failed to find the cache in the spot indicated by the GPS but a quick read of the logs indicated that we should be searching further afield and it was Crookedpete who successfully located the cache for the group. TFTC

11-Feb-17
Second find of the day with a new friend. A muggle walked past us unpacking the cache and didn't even see us!

07-Feb-17
Another quick find after a busy but exciting day. Evidence of lots of tree felling so pleased to see the GPS was leading me away from there. TFTC #9917

04-Feb-17
As the coordinates had us in a carefully cared for area by someone's gate, we decided something was wrong, so checked previous logs, which confirmed this. We walked further up and soon found the correct tree, although finding the cache itself took quite a while. Our coordinates were S45 53.085 E170 29.598. TFTC

Day # 1 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip with visits in Thailand, Australia and finally NZ Big Grin.
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome! SmileSmile
Spent the day caching around in Dunedin, trying to concentrate on the "old & the famous" Wink and to cover all available cache-types in the region Razz.
Mission accomplished! CoolRazz
At the end of the busy day I was happy to count 22 finds of 7 different cache-types (including my own event in the evening Big Grin [^].

The coordinates let me onto private ground. Twisted
Studying the previous logs helped me to correctly locate the object Wink. It was 15 m off. Wink Once spotted the object, the cache was quickly in my hands Big Grin.

Hey - Dunedin, you have awesome caches [^] [:X]! Almost all in great shape, especially the old ones. [^]
So thanks to all Dunedin Owners involved [:X] [:X] - two of you I was happy to meet in person at the event WinkSmile.
Cheers from Germany SmileSmile Sure i'll be back some day Wink!

I'd been to this one before and been out-muggled, but with Hevic's help and a bit of logic behind me this time the cache was found. I realised I shouldn't have been out-muggled the first time. Ah well, a win is a win. Cheers!

Had to wait for some muggles to walk down the steps before we could make a quick grab. Found with Aoraki Sheep.

19-Jun-16
As it was a lovely sunny morning it seemed like a good opportunity for 2 out 3 members of Team HvsH (1 human & 1 canine) to go for a walk around the hill suburbs and find some caches. To be honest the dog wasn't a great asset. She was great on bit between caches but hopeless at finding them. The missing human is far more useful!

Had to come back to this one as there seemed to be people around and I couldn't think of a reason to be lurking about. Second time I managed to go straight to it, unseen I hope! I got a good workout today!

02-Jun-16
A break in the weather means an opportunity to go out exploring for the morning. And to track down a few caches. Thanks for the incentive to enjoy a warmish winter day.

30-May-16
the last one on an early morning assault, and by crikey...it seems the caffeine withdrawals hit us hard, as this took the longest to track down due to a bouncy signal. Still, found without incident, and a great wee hide. TFTC.

30-May-16
Signal was bouncing around a bit here, possibly due to all the moisture in the tall bushes and trees up this pathway. However, that was compensated for by one of the excellent hints that this CO always provides. TFTC.

28-May-16
(FTF) #64 @1109. As there were many emails that came in I missed this one and started heading back out of town when I noticed that I had missed it and thought that this would make 5 FTF in one day and bet my last one of 4 so I had to go back for it. It was a bit off in the coordinates and had me lost for some time. But I decided to try some other trees that seemed a bit more likely up the path a bit and found it in the end. TFTC
