3rd cache while in Bendigo on our short little holiday...grrrrrr no pen to write in the log. Great little walk though

A trip to Bendigo, for our youngest son to catch up with his Granddad and a school friend, gave us the opportunity to call by a few caches and earn some summer smileys. We didn't find these caches in any particular order, just followed the GPS'r. We love the idea of a school project such as this, where so many new skills can be shared while outdoors having fun. In a previous life H-P enjoyed working at Kalianna, so we were in familiar territory. Luckily we did not set off any barking alarms as we signed in to this one.
Our thanks to Kalianna Kachers for placing this cache.

This series is very close to home but it was published when were away. Today it was nice and cool and time to get caching in 2017 off to a good start. We jumped on the bikes and had them in no time.

A quick find on the way to visiting my Uncle in Bendigo for a belated Christmas dinner. Found with becca85 & neisha07. TFTC!
In Bendigo for a 2nd Christmas dinner with family we missed yesterday.
This one was exposed upon finding so we did try to shove it a bit further in but not sure we were too successful.
I am 2 caches off hitting 1000 for 2016 so had hoped to grab a couple while over here. Unfortunately it was raining. (After a 38 degree day yesterday, go figure!)
I managed to grab this one as it was only a few blocks from our destination but then the rain got heavier and we were late. So here I sit, on 999 caches for the year, 4 days left of 2016 and my closest unfound cache 40 minutes from home. Hopefully the weather sorts itself out as I will be aiming to make a day trip before the end of the week- if only to grab one single cache!
Thanks Kalianna Kachers.

Stopped to log this find while exploring Bendigo today. It was a hot day but the wind made things manageable. Thanks for your contribution to my great afternoon.
Exposed on approach, so pushed it just a little further underneath.
Thanks to Kallianna school students for placing all these caches and for the great planting going on!

Luckily there were no dragons breathing fire here in the long grass, but we did find a cache. Looks like there is quite a bit of tree planting and landscaping in progress here. SL at 4.10pm. #4104 We are spending the long weekend in Bendigo, away from our home in Wangaratta. TFTC Kalianna Kachers - you have been busy hiding caches for us to find.
Found with itsahoughthing. We had some time to spend in town so decided to work on these few caches. Found this cache without any problems. Thanks for the hide.
Found today. Great to see that more bendi on people are getting to know what Geocashing is. The containe is slightly damp.

A weekend trip to visit The Morris to hear about their big trip (No, not the video again - Ahh!!!!!), and to attend the event in St Arnaud.
Tackled a few of this series on the Friday afternoon.
Great to see some new local cachers placing some new hides.
I really should have brought my gum boots today though!
There really was only one place to hide the cache here - I ended up somewhat wet and yellow from the wattle blossom!
Snitched the two TB's to move them on.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found after grabbing a couple to the north of here and driving around to park quite close. There is a sign that says road closed beside the houses and after the recent rain the ground looks very muddy. Thanks Kalianna Kachers.

A quick find on a damp day. Well done kids its great to find a cache that is a decent sized with some great swaps. Miss 4 in particular loved the whistle not sure how ling it will be before we place it in another cache! TFTC
Another find in this area which has heaps of new caches to find. Again the cords were great and the size of the container made it an easy find under the noses of the neighbours.
Cheers

I had a fair bit of time today so decided to take the dog for a good walk. I walked from home about 1.5 km to this cache. It was an easy find, however I had to wait for a few muggles to disappear, otherwise I would have looked suspicious. TFTC.
Great cache Kalianna Kachers. Very proud of you all on your fantastic efforts making and hiding your caches this term. Proud teacher!!!
Find #996 for me. I could have parked much closer for this one, but decided to walk from your other nearby caches which was a good decision since the sun was out and despite the cold temperature, was the perfect opportunity for a nice morning walk. I'd hurried ahead of my 2 children and muggle friend, and had the cache in hand, log-book signed and cache replaced just as the others arrived. Thanks for the cache Kalianna Kachers!
Find No. 1420. Found with FUF009 at 2.28pm
In Bendigo for the day to attend the two events and find some caches. FUF009 tagged along with us.
After attending the second event, it was now time to go and find a few more caches around town. From 'Under the Tree' it was back to the van for a short drive around the corner to locate this quick easy find.
