On our way to Melbourne when we decided to have a break. Checked in on the app and sure enough there is a cache in the area. A nice easy find which is what you want on short stops.

I couldnt grab the other cache nearby as a family were using the area to have lunch. It was good to break up the journey with a little walk and a smiley. Thank you Robmc for placing and maintaining Travelling South - Way Away for us to find today.

After finding the cache at the other end of this rest area, stopped at the far end to hunt this one. Another quick find though this was is a bit damp, could just a dry out, didn't have the time today unfortunately. Thanks to robmc for this one, the shrubs are certainly getting bigger now!

Find 4511 on December 31, 2023Found on our holiday that took us from Ballarat to Sale. Then over the mountains to Dinner Plain and then Myrrhee for a couple more nights. Today we make for home as our holiday comes to close. However there are more caches to find on the way. Nice quick drive by clearing out south bound geocaches. TFTC Robmc

I was on my way home to Melbourne after spending a few days in the Snowy high country with the MX-5 Club. After taking the opportunity to stop off in Wodonga to find the caches I needed to help me qualify for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**, I was now heading down the Hume. In need of additional caches in Strathbogie Shire for the same challenge, the timing was right for a "leg stretch" stop... or six... to make some finds.Having had to wait out seemingly forever for muggles at the other cache at this rest stop, this one was startling quick... no one around at all so I didn't have to try and be discrete. A nice and easy find...Thanks **Robmc** for this cache.

Ballarat Geo-Tour Trip

Day #1 of 4 (15/9)
What a trip! 10 hours of travel while finding the occasion Geocache along the way. Before you ask, yes I did plan a trail which included 12 caches. These caches focused on collecting as many LGA’s as I could. I also made sure to find: GC7A, because I have never found a cache that was hidden in 2000 before. All caches were quick finds and were fun. When I got into Ballarat I found a letterbox cache near my motel before getting dinner. TB visit. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s

While traveling south to Ballarat, I stopped off here to find this cache. I walked to this one from the picnic area while waiting for muggles to move so I can find the other cache here. A nice quick find at GZ and now to find the other one here.

Getting to Melbourne takes longer now that we know about Geocaching!
Thanks for our ‘stop, revive, survive’ activities.

We continued today our tour back in Victoria, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache (D1.5, T1.5) had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to Robmc for the generation of this nice cache Travelling South - Way Away (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Off to the Mega with Spiffy- and many others. All caches have been presolved in the 14 month lead up and other interesting caches flagged for collection to assist with various challenges or just because they looked fun!

Today was go home and this broke our trip nicely.

Very happy to be heading to another Mega and this year we took leave the day before and after Easter to make it much more relaxing and enjoyable. Have to do that next Mega as well.
Today was sadly our last day here and before heading off I attended my caching buddies event. To break up the boring drive home along the Hume highway we targeted certain caches to help with a challenge we are working on and this was one of them.

Second of the pair of caches in this rest area but this turned out to be a little easier than its northern mate so once at GZ, I was soon signing the log at 17:10.

Bunadoorian and I were on a road trip to Bright today. On the way home I needed to swap over driving so stopped here. Bunadoorian said there are two caches here! Unfortunately one was being guarded by a table full of muggles eating their lunch. So we came and found this one instead. TFTC Robmc

There are 2 caches in this area, we tried for both but the other cache was being guarded by a mob of muggles. But this cache was away from all the muggles in the parking area. It was found quite easily in a traditional geocaching hide. TFTC.

Found with fitzy_1965 on an interstate weekend away collecting counties.

Today saw us travel from Oxley Reserve near Wangaratta to Hamilton in the States west. Our main target was a Community Celebration Event at lunch time in Ballarat and as many counties and virtuals as we could along the way. The day was a mix of sun and rain which kept us on our toes and then, the prospect of not finding a free camp area for the evening, saw us splurge on a motel room. We found a fantastic kebab shop for dinner…I think we will be back in Hamilton LOL.

Of the caches we tried, they were found quickly and easily. Thanks so much to each and every CO.

Day 2. After camping overnight at Oxley we continued heading south. A quick stop here where there was two for the price of one - gotta love that. This morning the rest stop was empty which certainly helped out for these two finds. This one was a nice quick find exactly as the clue describes. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one on the list.

Thanks Robmc !! One day I might actually finish finding all these cool rest stop caches down the Hume.

Heading to Melbourne this afternoon to go and watch a AFL game and needed to make a quick stop and managed to grab a cache or two while we were in the area, with nobody about we soon had this one quickly in hand and back on our way, found with Baz man. Thanks Robmc for the hide.

After a couple of days caching with friends it was time to head home, this was one of the cache found on route.

This will probably be my last couple of caches before calling it a night and heading through to Melbourne. Grabbed the one a couple hundred metres north, then headed down here. With a trusty spider web bashing stick in hand, I made my way to GZ and quickly had CIH. Dropped off a TB to start it's adventure. TFTC!
