Figuring I had plenty of time to get to Melbourne a route was picked involving a variety of cache types. After getting the required info in order a short walk took me to the cache. The walk wasn't in the expected direction. Thanks for the cache wozzle68.
Out for a drive today collecting caches a bit further out of town. I arrived at the war memorial and was able to quickly calculate the coordinates. Next, I headed off to the GZ where it was a quick find, although I must have approached from the wrong angle as it was a bit awkward to extract the container. My name was added to the log and container replaced as found. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this memorial.Lest we forget
Found by Mary and David at 16:05. A FP for this cache. Remembering M's dad, who was captured at the fall of Singapore, and D's Dad who was a Rat of Tobruk and fought in PNG as well. Our thanks to wozzle68.
Out on a stuff it, let's go geocaching" type of day. Great memorial with beautiful views. Tftc.
Found It........While in the area visiting the Sunflower farm it was decided to grab a couple of caches. After pulling up and collecting the required info we set off to GZ where a quick search soon had us with the cache in hand. So with the log signed and container replaced we continued our journey. Thanks wozzle68 for the cache
Found with FeatherWaite on a 4-day trip to Victoria. From Adelaide. Our main aim was to complete the Ballarat Geotour and other caches of interest in the broader Ballarat area. There were also a number of events and a CITO to attend. The weather was on the warm side, but not too bad for this time of year, which made for pleasant camping each night. The cache was found in good order. Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.
Found during an extended weekend in the Ballarat area with e.gregory1, with the main aim of completing the Ballarat GeoTour, but taking the opportunity to attend a number of events and CITOs, and searching for a good range of caches while touring around the district. Thanks for the cache wozzle68!
The bull across the road was t happy to see me, but always nice to find a little bit of history in all these small communities. TFTC
In the area hunting some caches today and this one was next. I was able to park right next to the monument so I was able to grab the clues from the drivers seat. Worked out a sensible looking GZ and decided to walk again. This one was an easy find, thanks to wozzle68 for this one.
Second day of our attack on the Ballarat Geotour. Day dawned fine so we set off early. Found with isopeda as we planned to collect what we could before the predicted rain. Nice to collect an extra county. Tftc
Found with barb2e whilst doing the Geotour, but not being able to get to Mt Bunyingon because if the National cycle races. So.we.looked at a few other caches. Argh Hawthorne. Sad to look at the ages if those who died. Nice little history multi. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Yay math working again.
We are on the wrong side of Mt Buninyong. Lol.
No that post was already like that.

Quick find for us here.
November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Spending a few days in Ballarat and with some more free time this afternoon, I headed out to try a few multis in the area. An appropriate day for a couple of them. Details were calculated for this one without issues and then it was short drive to GZ. Cache was found sitting nicely in its hidey hole. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was off for the next one.
Thanks wozzle68 for this one.
Thanks wozzle68 for this one.
First find for my mother which she was happy. Great find to explain everything. Thanks
This was an interesting local war memorial. Data collection was straightforward and we were soon off to GZ. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks wozzle68 for an interesting cache.
The sun was shining, and regional covid restrictions meant we could at least get out past our 5km zone, so we seized the day and headed out to Lal Lal to explore an area neither of us had been to before. This was the first cache of the day. Found easily once we dusted off the cobwebs of how to actually use the app, navigate and find a geocache LOL. TFTC wozzle68. Cache is dry and in good condition.
Find No. 3418. Found at 11.08am
A Saturday caching drive, with FUF009 on board, down to Ballarat and Ballan way getting caches along the way.
Worked out the information we needed from the War Memorial then off we went to find the cache. No back tracking here as it was down the road the way we were going. A quick find, log signed, now off to the next multi.

After attending the CITO event it was time to target some specific caches to get closer to meeting some challenges, or completing some goals. We have not done many Multicaches so far and are endeavouring to rectify that situation. The two Multis in Navigators were perfectly located between two of the goal caches for the day and we enjoyed stopping and taking some time to reflect at this War Memorial (the War memorial itself is beautifully designed and constructed) . We also were able to obtain the information needed to find the cache and benefitted from the time of year which makes this cache much easier to find now than Spring to Autumn. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache wozzle68.
A camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 and RoamingHowie, exploring Ballarat and surrounds, with focus on the new Geotour, the Goldfields Track and various solved puzzles.
Day One...
With RH needing 6 multis for the day for a challenge, this was chosen as one of them. Nice spot!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, wozzle68

With the lockdown over and the Geotour event going ahead in Ballarat, our original plans to camp and visit were back on. The adventure for GT37, Papi4506 and OHC, now begins!
That makes 6! 6 Multis for the day to help with a challenge! A lovely spot with the cows closely watching as we searched!
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

Nice little Memorial, with easy to find cache once we had the GZ coordinates. Thanks for the cache.
After attending an Event in Ballan I continued on to search for caches in the surrounding areas along the lesser traveled roads which led me to Ballarat.
I couldn’t resist grabbing a few more caches as I made my way home.
It’s sad to see the numbers of men that lost their lives in small communities.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the multi Cache Wozzle68

We were surprised when we arrived at the memorial, we have not seen one quite like this before. Thank you for the safe parking, a favourite from us for all things re this cache. SL TFTC
Log in great nick. Memorials are wonderful. Also visited the organic farm up the road
This was the first cache after a disappointing DNF on our previous cache. It took longer than it should have because I transposed the numbers in the co-ords which had us driving in all directions. Back to the board and we finally had the cache in hand

After a great couple of nights in the Murray Sunset country to attend the two events there we decided to head to St Arnaud to pick up a few caches around there.
We were now heading to Buninyong to do the new adventure lab that had been published and two caches popped up on the screen.
What a fantastic memorial we found at wpt1 that we enjoyed collecting the information from.
We plugged the co ords in and took a walk to gz where the cache was located quickly and we added our name to the log before returning everything as we found it.
Thanks wozzle68 for setting up this cache.
Lest we forget.

TFTC. We were in Ballarat for an appointment this morning. Finishing at a reasonable time we took the opportunity to increase our multi tally for a challenge. We are getting really close. Drove out the 8 km from town to this very simple but IMHO elegant memorial. We read the information and soon had a set of co-ordinates in had. A short drive and cache was signed and returned.
We had nothing touristy locked in for today so I decided that our last day in Ballarat would be put to best use by going out to find some challenge caches and to also add to my tally of counties I've cached in.
First up, I headed a whole 8km out of City of Ballarat into the Shire of Moorabool to where this cache is located. A quick stop at the memorial to gather the required info and then I was off to GZ where I was able to make a straightforward find. This find takes my county tally to 163 out of a total of 500+ across Australia .... and as a bonus, I score some unlove as this cache hasn't been found for 7 months.
Thanks to wozzle68 for placing a cache at this interesting memorial that I would never have seen if not for geocaching.

Today Crank1, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37 and myself headed to the “other” side of Melbourne for a day chasing mainly multi’s and an event. We spent some time here counting and checking. Eventually all made sense! Thanks so much for placing this cache wozzle68

Caching with a friend and just had to come out here. I do love War Memorials - gives you time to reflect and pause life for a moment. Have to give you a fav for that reason. TFTC
Out and about with Sunset62 found us reflecting here. Worked out the coordinates and made the find. TFTC
I was in the area today and checked out the memorial. Made the calculations and made my way to GZ for a quick find. Thanks wozzles for the great multi.
Found with jtnsilo and Claybol on a terrific day's geocaching. Beautiful memorial here..... worked out the coordinates quickly and took a short walk to get the cache..... Watch out for the thorns though...... I cut myself twice getting the cache and almost logged it in blood.... TFTC......
Find #1741 for me. Found with virbull and jtnsilo at 3:10 pm while visiting Ballarat from Bendigo. The memorial was very interesting and we also noticed flowers and a card left there by the Donnelly family in memory of the brothers whose details we needed to find the final coordinates. War is indeed so tragic. Lest we forget. Once at GZ we spotted the cache fairly quickly and it was virbull who made the retrieval and return and received some scratches while doing so. Thanks for bringing us to this very memorable location today wozzle68 and thanks for the cache!
Memorials like this always bring very mixed emotions Sadness that so many young men lost their lives or returned maimed in some way, pride that they volunteered knowing it was a life and death matter and sorrow that these farming districts no longer support the same numbers of people A lovey memorial and likewise the multi. A favourite point here Thanks wozzle68
Love this newish memorial thanks for the cache and pointing out this interesting monument.
Found on my way home from the International Earthcache day event at the Blast Furnace. Must say this is quite a unique little memorial. Great views of Mt Warrenheip today with such green countryside. Even the cows agreed it was a good day. TFTC Wozzle68

En route to the Yarrowee Creek - CITO, we made a slight detour to complete this cache. It was a misty morning, which actually added to the solemnity of the memorial.

The ageing Bushfire joined forces with Na ‘wal and Ethan for an early cold start and enjoyed a wonderful days caching starting out near Steiglitz and finishing up at Creswick.
With a stroke of luck we were in the area when a new cache was published in the “Christmas Down Under” series. This was soon worked out and another JFTF was added to our tally.
As we arrived in Ballarat with the temperature still very low with ice on all the puddles we were glad of our heavy jackets and beanies and the heater in the 4x4.
Details were gathered and off find the prize with ice every where we went.

Today was planned a few weeks ago after some very long hours at work enabled me to have an extra day off today to go on a geocaching adventure. The geo boy was in for the day and bushfire and I talked about heading for Creswick so we teamed up, leaving just as the sun was rising. I was a great day out chasing a few caches that we both had on our lists. It was freezing cold here, even the puddles were frozen over. Details were obtained and a quick find for us today for this nice monument. Stamped and replaced as found.

Out and about with Sean.75, Jenno3, kenbryl and muggle Annie. After finding a nearby nemesis we headed over this way. It's such a lovely memorial. After reading all of it and giving thanks we were soon down to business. Coords were worked out and the cache soon found, logged and replaced. There were a few curious cows that came closer to see what we were up to but they soon realised we were cachers so they left us to go back to their grazing. Tftc
Another multi with the gang. We are getting better on these things at least the numbers are working out for a change. What a lovely monument honouring those who served. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache
Jenno3 was asking the questions and muggle Annie and I were answering them. We soon had the info we needed and we were off! Annie and I went to the wrong place to start with, it wasn't a short cut! Lol! Tftc
Geo-granny had often driven past here and wondered what the 'The Ode' was and she was pleased to find that it was part of a geocache that I had planned to stop at on the way back from Lal Lal falls. Info found easily and also the cache, although I was a bit wary of the electric fence! TFTC
This has been a lonely spot on my map for far too long so today with some spare time before my night shift it was time to pay this multi some attention.
Glad i did because for a small country memorial this was quite impressive. A really nice use of steel, a credit to the artist.
As for the cache, nice and straightforward and the final was quickly worked out. Tnlnsl. Thx Wozzle68 for highlighting another significant part of our history. Cheers

There were cold sleeting showers sweeping across this exposed road early today.
I wanted to do at least one multi on my travels today and this one looked easy enough.
So it proved to be and WP1 was gathered without leaving the car.
Thanks Wayne for this one, a beauty

An empty spot on my calendar today needed filling and with a hectic day around town the kids and I nipped out here after soccer. Lovely little memorial - thanks for highlighting the area. A nice simple multi. Thanks!
Mission multi accomplished. Thanks for getting me to this modern memorial and relatively close to home. TNLN TFTC Wozzle68
Catching up on some long overdue logs this evening. Sorry! On my way to the Duck event at Lal Lal and decided to stop briefly to look at this multi. A nice memorial that I hadn't noticed before. Calculations made and off to GZ where the prize was quickly located. Thanks for the hid Wozzle68.
With the geocaching challenge of finding a multi this weekend, I was told that this was a good one to do without much walking. A great little memorial to honour those that served and the numbers were quickly gotten and then off to gz where a quick find had me signing the log. Thanks wozzle for this placement
On leaving the nearby Duck Event at Lal Lal we headed north for Creswick and picked up our second multi for the day.....does that mean we will get 2 souvenirs? lol
Thanks wozzle68 for highlighting this fairly new memorial and for the cache.
Thanks wozzle68 for highlighting this fairly new memorial and for the cache.
The first cache of the day and a good multi it was too. A nice spot for a multi but the memorial is a bit in nowhere-ish.
We managed to find a bit of time and decided to make a detour on the way home to see if we could add a smile, it is the first trip out for geonanny, as she has had a long time in hospital, and she enjoyed the air, scenery and hunt for a smile. We spent time gathering the required information and learning a little about the ANZACs of this area. Eventually the cache was in hand, signed and replaced, with no one around. Thanks Wozzle for a very interesting cache.
Suscoe decided to do a last minute trip to the Creswick area today in search of golden treasures in the form of caches.
The weather forecast was looking pretty cold and wet but we decided to go anyway.
What else could you do on a day off but cache, so we rugged up with beanies, coats and boots and off we went.
We had gale force winds, driving rain, sunny breaks, hail, sleet and a touch of snow all in one day, what more could you wish for when there were terrific caches to be found.
Thanks to wozzle68 for this neat multi at Navigators, we took some time to read the memorial and to think about the local history contained here.

Simply adore multi caches that work the first time. This was one of those. The rustic memorial to the soldiers who fought in the war was well worth the extra distance to work out the numbers for GZ.

Glad to have an 'N' cache to find for a challenge. Ventured out here this afternoon with Motndarg. This memorial has popped up since our last visit to the area. Lovely memorial and a picturesque spot. We gathered the info and made the find. Thanks wozzle68, this is my type of multi!!!
A very well constructed and informative memorial . Certainly well worth stopping for to read about some of the history and to get the information needed enabling us to locate the cache. Out with McLookers today and with spot on co ords we soon had the cache in hand. A nice straight forward multi - thanks wozzle68.
Tftc. Headed out after work with mum while there was still a tiny bit of light. Beautiful memorial!!
