We are now camped at Maroochydore Beach Holiday Park for a few days. Our last Day on the Sunshine CoastOur plan today was caching along the coastline from Mooloolaba to Coloundra, a couple of ALs included. The beaches looked amazing & so many people about today enjoying the sea side & shopsThanks for placing this cache shatt1987

I solved this puzzle at least two years ago but never had a chance to find it. With a weekend in Caloundra, it was time to find it. I parked nearby and initially went a bit too far into the garden but then spotted it in a much more accessible place. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc

Woke early this morning and decided to head north to pick up a cache to complete the May challenge north of Brisbane. There were also a couple more need for my next DT Loop so it was a perfect storm to head north. After picking up a few lab caches in the area to warm up I soon moved on to physical caches in the area.Arriving at ground zero the cache was soon in my sights, log extracted and signed before replacing back carefully for the next lucky cacher.A big thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache for the enjoyment of others.Cheers

TG had an appointment up here today so I solved this puzzle knowing I'd be in the area.
Not a lot of parking nearby so I parked the bedmobile on the main road and legged it over to GZ where I found the cache in a likely spot.
TFTC and the cool puzzle.

shatt1987 I found your cache My Island Home on 9/5/2023, 3:40 pm. This is my find 5267 and find # 5 today. Solved the puzzle some time back. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Sunshine Coast was today target. I needed two caches up there for my next D/T loop. I found 16 caches and few AL waypoints. This one was next on the list. Signed the log and return it to the cache.

Out hunting on the Sunny Coast along with & Bris today. A bit tricky around GZ, muggles we’re parked nearby & talking and talking & talking.
Once gone we foraged about & found the hide.

Muggle65, Brislions and l had a really fun day caching up the Sunny Coast. We got perfect weather and nearly everything on our list. Thank you for the fun

Wow, that gate is a serious one. After they trying to keep the fun out or enjoying the fun in? I haven’t seen a gate that well constructed since I was battling orcs at Mordor.

We didn’t see anyone come or go so I can only suspect their orgies are celebrated with a silver spoon in mouth. I’m not one to mock people with wealth, they deserve it. I just need to know what mask I need to wear on hedonism night to fit in.

We knew where the cache should be but we didn’t kick the dirt hard enough. On our second boot scoot we uncovered the hide. tftc

Just over a year ago, I was newly returned to caching, and received an invitation to come along to a Sunny Coast caching day with one Old friend and two new friends. Although we found lots of caches that day, I wanted to solve the puzzles myself before I logged them.

This is one of those. Thanks for the puzzle, which was a nice easy solve. TFTC

Out with chamad, E_Smiley, Duppers collecting caches on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
After an early start we made our way north, collecting caches as we went.
This puzzle was fun to solve, arriving at gz the cache was quickly found.
Thanks shatt1987 for the cache.

29-Jan-22
A plan was set for today to try to complete as many of the sunshine coast caches as possible with a target of 140 (my target). Todays little group was Willis007, Esmiley, newcomer Duppers and myself. We meet at the arranged meeting point; we worked out where we were going and had a plan for the day. It was a little slow start but once all the formalities were done it was all systems go. The day was a lot of fun, with laughs, the usual banter and some nice walks. The plan changed a little as we went, we got a third of our targets, which I was happy with, as it was a big ask considering the caches were doing. We had a few DNF’s which took up a lot of time, a couple of multis that had us stuck for a checker tick. We were lucky to have Esmiley along who had completed a few of the caches and gave us some insight.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches and some fun hides and to my caching buddies for the day. We signed all logs and replaced containers as we found them.

I liked doing this puzzle thanks. At GZ it was Willis007 who made the grab. A nice area to visit thanks.
All good with this cache and now it is onto the next one.

21-Sep-21
This one has been in my solved pile for so long that when I followed the map and came to it this morning, I forgot what the puzzle was all about, and foolishly thought the first part of the hint related to the cache location. Subsequently spent a while looking for a foreign language clue at GZ, before realising my folly and making a very fast find indeed. Had my geokids with me, and they appreciated the whole vibe of this one because of their related studies at school. Thanks for the cache, shatt1987!

Nice quick find TFTC.

25-Apr-21
Those high school language classes came in really super handy. For once I knew exactly what to do with a puzzle. That doesn’t happen often.

The cache is not inside the fended area. If you are careful, you can access the cache without damaging any of the fauna that you have to get through or past to reach GZ. It's just a matter of moving with care.

The container is a rusty mess with holes in the bottom and the lid is difficult to remove. I have a few of these containers in my car at a nearby hotel so will endeavour to come out this evening or tomorrow to replace container so the game can continue.

25-Apr-21
I have replaced the cache container tonight. As you can see in the photo, the old one had had its day. CO has been notified.

On with the game ...

The Esky family were headed to Mooloolaba for a few days. I had an appointment in Caloundra which finished very late in the afternoon. After being picked up by Mr E I looked around for a convenient cache to top up the calendar today - preferably a solved puzzle - and was very pleased to see this one. A quick detour off the main route and Mr Esky jumped out for a quick find. TFTC shatt1987

Solved this one last night and it didn't take too long to come up with an answer at all. This is the first puzzle cache we have solved since we left Tassie.
We have tackled other puzzle caches but they were already solved before we left home.
A quick find was made here of a very rusty container and the lid actually fell off when we opened it, the log sheet was a little sad too. But we put it all back together and replaced it where we found it.
Would have liked to ride out on to the island to check out the homes but unfortunately it is a gated community. Looks like the postman isn't even allowed in here!!!!
Thanks.

First cache off the rank on todays geoadventure with sunshine58.. i held off mentioning anything till we rolled up here again, as we'd been unsuccessful in our hunt a few years back, when the garden was only freshly installed.

Thankfully this time round the cache was uncovered relatively quickly.
Nice easy puzzle too!
Thanks for the cache.

Having suffered significant pain at our previous cache, NyssaFlutterby, Wombles&Co and I headed here to this cache next, grateful there were no vicious plants to contend with.
A quick search revealed the cache in the logical spot, and log was signed with QQ for the three of us.
Tin is rusting and lid is there but no longer attached, but logbook still dry.
Thanks for the cache shatt1987.

An invite from Mrs Slow Puncture to cache on the Sunshine Coast was unexpected, but happily accepted. The GPSr in the geomobile told me there was a cache nearby. A quick glance and I knew it was the final of a solved puzzle. I made the short detour to GZ. There, I quickly located the cache and added my name to the log. TFTC

Saturday. Slow Puncture was out today with Selva Girls. Out collecting some caches today and although we had solved and collected this cache some time ago, Selva Girls hadn’t and as we were driving past this spot, pulled in and Selva Girls made the find whilst I was admiring the surveillance cameras Razz

Thanks ***shatt1987***, for showing us this interesting place.

We had found this one before, so we were visiting with TBs.

I had solved this puzzle a while ago and even attempted to visit on another occassion with Geohubby but we had been a bit unsure where to park. Today bb and I had more time, so we were able to park in a convenient spot nearby to walk to the cache. Whoa! There are so many places to look! bb had been here before, so she roughly knew where to look, although I think the area has changed quite a bit since her last visit. With lots of rustling and searching in the bushes, we eventually came up with the cache. Phew! TFTC shatt1987 Smile

Out and about on the Sunny Coast for a little Tuesday morning adventure with Slow Puncture, visiting loads of pretty traffic light boxes, puzzles and other hides along the way. The morning started out chilly but soon warmed up into a beaut clear warm winter's day.

This was a quick solve at home, and a similarly quick find at GZ. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache **shatt1987**.

My son has just finished Yr 12 IB Japanese, so I handed my phone to him and got the answer very quickly.
Today I pulled over and tried not to stomp around too much, before finding a well-known kind of container more or less where I expected. Sadly, the magnet appears not to be working, which is pretty unusual for these. I replaced it in a spot I hope will allow it to be retrieved without too much damage to the surrounds. TFTC.

Nearby today and finally got close after solving the puzzle a little while ago. Parked just outside the gates - no-one around today. Took a bit of a search in the undergrowth, not where I was first suspecting. Not sure if the original attachment is working very well but it still remains in place anyway and is well hidden.
No action on the lake today.

After solving this puzzle at home, we parked up close to GZ and wandered over but there was a gardener working nearby so we had to bide our time until the coast was clear. Out and about with teamdfl on the Sunshine Coast, and our plan is to grab as many solved puzzles as possible, with a few Earthcaches, a multi and some traditionals thrown in for good measure.

This was fun to solve as the script was very familiar Big Grin We arrived at GZ in the dark, which made the place look most exotic! I'd love to see it in the daylight. A couple of spots got searched before I made the find. TFTC, shatt1987.

Out on a Whacky Wednesday with IolantheK. This one was not actually on the target list, but some others in the series were.

I had a terrible time hunting yesterday. One of those days. Seems that today was going to be a bit repeat even with the assistant. Sad

We only had two (maybe 3) DNFs, but we spent a long time finding many of the ones we did locate. [B)]

IolantheK had solved this one. I had not even looked at the puzzle. Luckily it is not too difficult a puzzle. I solved it just now. My method did give me some fun results at first though. Big Grin

I was happy to be here in the dark. Would not want to do this one once the area is developed. Surprised

A short hunt at GZ located the cache.

#12807. GZ looks like it is usually a quiet spot, so it was unfortunate that a couple of muggles were nearby. However, they were far enough away that we were able to search discretely, and I soon spotted the cache. TFTC.

I had solved quite a few puzzles in anticipation of our Sunshine Coast holiday and this morning we had access to a car to transport us on a caching expedition to try and turn some into smiles.
There was a rowing event on today, so we walked from where we had parked for a previous cache thinking that parking nearer the cache would be problematic. We were a bit worried to find a vehicle parked opposite GZ with a couple mooching around. They weren't looking our way, so StreetWalker went for it and soon laid hands on the cache. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Found at 0925.

We hadn't been caching for a few weeks, so after the rain cleared up we decided to head out a grab a few of the new local caches we hadn't got to yet. Marco had solved this one at home so armed with the co-ords we made our way to GZ and made a fairly quick find as the area was muggle free. Our GPS had the co-ords spot on - thanks. TNLNSL TFTC

Looks like a run up there early in the morning. Alarm went off at 4am. Oh its too cold to get out of bed.
4.30 came and I forced myself up. Once I was prepared I headed off.
Arrived at GZ and parked just a little way away. Nobody up at this hour.
Headed over to GZ and with a quick look the cache was in hand.

After my last failed attempt earlier in the morning I rocked back up and continuing on from my previous hunt, I widened my search to one particular area and very quickly the cache was in hand, some 9m from my original GZ. I'll blame the cloud cover....lol
