Caching with barb2e and SmittenGranny on a blustery Monday morning. We (well I) decided on an EARLY start to come to the CITO - the first for me this CITO season. It's REALLY, REALLY windy and it's nearly taking our pants off. Quick find here. I had looked this a few times, but we always sped past and didn't stop. This rime we went roundthe back for a safe parking spot. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Decided to have an early start for the day and ventured up to Goulburn for the CITO with Smittengranny and isopeda. Included a few other solved and needed caches on a short target list. A very windy start for the morning. Tftc
My normal Monday morning caching session with barb2e and Isopeda started rather earlier than usual to attend the nearby CITO that earned us a souvenir as well. Snow on to the next one that we found . TFTC Countrykittykat SL
Found 29/07/24. Cache lid missing, but log scrunched up in a plastic bag within it. Plenty of safe, easy to use parking on Aston Martin Dr cul-de-sac.
A quick pick up. The cache lid is missing but as it's well protected in the guard it does not need maintenance for now. TFTC Countrykittykat.
This one needs some love, but I found it quickly. Dude in his backyard nearby listening to races on the wireless. Lots of serenity at GZ.Generic summation of the day:I cooked up a plan to come to Goulburn overnight to grab some caches and AL on remembrance driveway. Had a pretty successful day, but ended up very cold.Snack situation: woeful. I started with a McMuffin and coffee for breakfast which held me over till 3pm but then I DNF two caches in a row and scrounged in my glovebox for a packet of rice crackers. Public toilet situation: they were plentiful at all the rest areas and many parks.Munzees: zeroWeather: cool, a little bit rainy at times, with a sharp drop off in temperature from 3:30pmWeirdos spotted: two kids walking down the street that said evening mam even though it was 1pm. Smoking muggle near the race course hating life pacing back and forth in front of the cache there. Dinner: Thai takeawayThanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches in Goulburn TFTC!
The coordinates are off but if youve found some caches before, youll find it in no time. Tftc

Day 1 of our Christmas - New Year 2023 holidays, and we have arrived in Goulburn. After setting up, it was time to grab a few geocaches that caught our eyes. Mostly some puzzles, multicaches, and some high DT geocaches. After dinner, it was time to grab a few more geocaches. The rain seems to be holding off for a little while longer, so while the sun is up, the 999s will play.Walked to grab this one while in the area. Could use some TLC.Thanks for the cache Country Kitty KatHunter
Mr Minion and I are spending a few days in Goulburn finding caches, we are really enjoying the town and the variety of the hides. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
JohnoMawbs’s 30/10/22 Day Trip
I heard there were four events on today and better yet, I was even asked to attend them. So, this meant I couldn’t miss them. I left home at 6am and headed for Yass for B’fast. After B’fast, I did some caching before the first event. A nice event at Gunning and then it was time for more caching on the way to Crookwell. Then it was time for the Crookwell CCE which was another fun event. A forty minute wait for lunch but I had plenty of conversations about all things Geo with the other attendees. Once again, it was time to do some more caching which included cleaning up as many caches as possible. This included caches in Crookwell, along the way to Goulburn and in Goulburn. Now time for the combo event which was made up of both Geocaching and Munzee. A different but certainly still a fun event to attend. Then came some more caching before the final event. The last event was a CITO which was also great fun. Then it was time to head home but not without two more finds, one of which was a FTF. I arrived home about 7:30pm after my great day out. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and events I attended for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s and TFTE’s.
Today’s Highlights:
27 Finds + 4 Events = 31 ’s
4 Events (CCE, CITO & 2x Regular)
Geocaching in Crookwell (First Time)
Finding two new D/T combos
An unexpected FTF
Avenging DNF’s
Getting the 2022 CITO Season #2 Souvenir
After finding the nearby Multi-cache, I decided on finding this one. A quick find at GZ and soon it was signed plus replaced ready for the next finder. Now off to the next one.

I've come to Goulburn for an allegedly big day of caching with Mrs Mr JD and the GeoHounds. We only found nine as our day was cut short when something came up, but I enjoyed the caches we did find, and I have solved several other multis which we will get to another time.
Nice clue. Thanks for this one.
Nice clue. Thanks for this one.
We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.
Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.
Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.
A quick find, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Countrykittykat, for us and others to find.

My last unfound cache in the immediate Goulburn city area!
I still have a couple on the way out of town near Kenmore Hospital on Taralga road, and then the ones on Mount Grey and Governer's hill, but the town itself is cleared out!
It's been a while since I had Goulburn looking so empty, ever sicne a couple of Goulburn cachers became very active and filled it up very quickly! Awesome to see so many historic locations highlighted now, I can't imagine what it would be like if there was still only a handful of caches here!
Thanks Countrykittykat, mounted the gutter and made a quick park and grab, as I couldn't see anywhere immediate to park!
---
Was in Goulburn again today and after performing some more important duties I had enough time for a cache run until heading back to Canberra
Found a couple of caches down the road from the Goulburn General Cemetery, which led me to an interesting dead-end I haven't been too before.
I then took a drive down Middle Arm road, and found all the caches along it. Another road I haven't travelled on before, so enjoyed being in the country and finding the interesting sites along the way which were highlighted by numerous caches.
My thanks to al the CO's caches I found along the way including:
GLISS!, team_lewin, Nibletricecakes, minniek, big-kahuna and Countrykittykat!

We are on our way home to Melbourne after visiting family in QLD over the Christmas period. Staying with friends in Kingsdale for our overnight rest stop.
Whilst the rest of the OSHFAM clan go to bed for the night, geo mum goes out alone for a bit of down time and night caching.
Pulling up to the GZ I had an idea where this one would be hidden, and it was. I was a bit tentative to retrieve it because of the cobwebs but used a stick to help me avoid touching them. Luckily I didn’t spot any eight legged friends there otherwise I would have woken up the whole neighborhood with my screams.
Looks like new housing estates here. Each estate having a different name at the entrance walls/gates.
Cache in good condition. There are several old logbooks in there but the current log sheet being used is in good condition and has lots of blank space to sign on.
Thank you for the cache here Countrykittykat

My Garmin was nine metres out, indicating the wooden fence, but the cache was found in the 'usual' place. TFTC Countrykittykat.

I sure made this one harder than it needed to be. My phone was pointing me to a certain spot, but it didn't make any sense. Then I realised that the phone wasn't being accurate and employed my geosenses which lead me to the hide. There were lots of worker muggles about, and parking will probably be easier here once the houses get built.
Out with Darkside Dan making a few finds around Goulburn after the local GC event. Thanks Countrykittykat
Found with Kittykatch out to get the last part of the Taralga Trail. Driving past was a perfect opportunity to get this one. TFTC
6th cache found today! Coordinates are about 5m off where cache actually is. Otherwise it's a simple and quick find!

We woke to a coo morning with quite a bit of fog about, but it soon cleared to a lovely autumn day just perfect for caching.
We set off on a loop in one part of town that had a variety of cache types. There were a few different types of hides and not many muggles in the areas we visited.
Goulburn is a much older town than where we live, so we enjoyed the older buildings and some of the history the place presents.

Nice quick find. It always seems bizzare to me to see such high density suburbia out here around Goulburn. So many houses crammed into such a small space surrounded by so much open land. Anyway, TFTC!
In the area for an event and spending the day visiting some new places and enjoying the scenery. TFTC

AngelG27 suggested a geocaching day in Goulburn and it didn't disappoint... the weather was good, the caches were great and the company fantastic. We talked, we laughed and we cleaned up a lot of caches... I found twenty one. All-in-all an excellent day
This was my eleventh for the day. Quick find in usual spot. Thanks for creating the loop and it didn't send me loopy... well anymore loopy then I am!

Found a safe place to park with only short walk needed to get to this cache. It was in the traditional place and quite clearly visible while still approaching GZ. Cache retrieved, name added to log, all replaced. Job done! Thanks to Countrykittykat for giving us another cache to find while we are in the Goulburn area.
Long weekend. I better time to go caching. I drove down from Greystanes on Friday afternoon so I could get an early start on my caching day. As I start to log them I have no idea how many caches I got today my target was 75 on my own.
Today did have a lot of first for me.
Saw my first geo snake which slithered away as I approached. I have a really fear of snake so was shaken for a while.
I saw my first beware of funnel web spider sign and then saw 2 on the cache.
I traveled 606km from the time I left home and then got home again tonight.
Thanks to all the geocachers whose caches I find today. If it was. It for you guys I would not have had a fantastic day. Seen some amazing and not so amazing sights.
Thanks heaps.

Today I did a maintenance run on a few of my caches. I stopped in to check on this one. Log in good condition.
After a day out learning about orienteering with school, I finally found some interest in geocaching and asked if I could tag along with Noodles22 on his caching trip this morning. Catapult07 joined us for a long drive along Wombeyan Caves road before reaching our first cache.
With only 3 hours of daylight left we managed to get our hands on 22 caches. But it wasn't until halfway through them did i decide on getting my own caching name.
Hope to continue on with this game.
Thanks for the cache.

When I heard that Noodles22 was going out caching worth my other brother, newly named Wombat2005, i jumped aboard and joined them. At that time I didn't know how far we were going. After a long windy road and a case of car sickness the we reached the caching ground.
Another 22 to add to my score on this cold day.
Thanks for the cache.

I woke up this morning a bit too early for my comfort, but by the time any plans were made it was late morning already. When I decided to return to Taralga (via Wombeyan Caves Rd) and find the trail of caches leading to Goulburn two of my little brothers asked to tag along, Catapult07 and Wombat2005. Of course they couldn't go on any road trip without their electrical devices to play on, as a consequence we needed a couple of stops to recover from car sickness.
FINALLY we made it to our starting point we needed to stop for a late lunch. AND ONLY THEN COULD WE FIND ANY CACHES!
Wet managed to find 22 before the sun disappeared and the temperature plummeted even lower than it was.

Out with CBRChic for a trip back to Goulburn to have a tilt at the ever growing number of caches there. It was a lovely cool autumn day and the first after the end of DST for the year. We basically did a bunch of park & grabs, but a there were also a few tree climbs and walks. All in all, a fun day.

We have set up camp at the VC rest stop. Caching with Liz and Bruce again today.
Today we were more in the town area. Walked the Woodlands while it was not too hot.
We had a nice tiki tour of the town on our caching tour.
