Found this one on a lovely day out in Wynum with Quesera thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot
Very interesting spot for a cache. We had trouble finding this one until sharpem with a keen eye spotted it. Was tricky to retreive but lucky to be able to sign this . Never seen one like this before. I like it alot. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Wow! I've never had a geocache that is an "envelope"! And I'm an old Wynnum girl...this is the first cache (hopefully of many) that I've found down here. Of course, there was no library back then (it was in the Civic Centre) and this was part of Wynnum Central State School. TFTC!
Upon approach I started to get concerned as a large area is cordoned off and work is being undertaken. I thought Id walk around the cordoned area anyway and have a good look at the new library (impressive) that is when I've come across GZ, a quick squiz around and I've located the cache, then the next obstacle retrieval. this was managed relatively quickly, signed and returned safely to its hidey spot. Great cache location and hide. TFTC
I was having a problem. I had not had a chance to go caching for over 2 weeks and I needed to get out to find one.
I was in the area and had about an hour spare. I remembered that I had looked for this one about 6 months ago and couldn't find it.
I searched all the same places that I had searched previously and that didn't help. Finally, I decided to make a PAF call. The information indicated a spot which I thought I had searched thoroughly but it appears that I needed to look closer. It took a bit of work to extract the cache. Glad to finally get this one off my frown face list.

Took me and 2 friends a while to locate the cache because it is very well hidden. However we found it! Thanks for the cache.
We were out today to get a smiley on the map and thought to give this one ago. We parked nearby GZ and walked over, we were afraid that GZ was going to be inaccessible to the temporary fence around the park , Until we saw something that gave the cache its name. We searched up and down until we saw something out of place and spotted the cache . The hardest part was the extraction of the cache, lucky we had our extraction tool and was able to sign the log and hide it again and continue the hunt for smiley's . Thanks for the cache Wynnum Wanderers, enjoyed this one. TFTC!!!
Not for the first time today, as we wandered past various buildings, I was given a history lesson by geomum. She went to school at the the nearby school before the current buildings were even there! The school was much bigger then and had many buildings spread over a larger area. Once we reached GZ, I was able to quickly locate the cache and sign the log. More history was related as we strolled back to the car. TFTC
Thanks. Great little hidden spots. My boys loved pretending to play while I looked.
TFTC... Out for the Seafood Festival but of course, got distracted by a green box on the map that was close by. Geokid Madison and I crawled about but failed to spot the container. Later, with misssusan79 and Geokid Tobias, actually read the text and we were on top of it quickly. Sneaky one, this is.
Started off from Wynnum north train station with plans to make it along to coast to Manly and then to Manly station. Didn't quite make it that far, a four year old slows you down quite a bit. So this was find 14/14.
Spent ages looking for this one then read the description again and found it straight away.

Out for a play day with Ms JustaTrifle and RhoBoCacher at Wynnum today
Time for a wander through suburbia [^] At GZ we all just groaned, and then I got down into the search, but the cache was elusive! Soon the others spotted the sneaky hide. Very neatly concealed. TFTC, Wynnum Wanderers.

So we each had our part in finding this cache Iolanthe K was lying down and looking from underneath Mrs JAT was reading out previous logs and I was looking from the top slowly using process of elimination by walking around the structure I just saw a slither of something that looked out of place. So Iolanthe K jumped up and was amazed at where we found it, so in the end there was no need to lie down on the job lol. TFTC
A little bit of time to kill while sister-in-law does the shopping. At first thought this would be a no-go as it was covered in little people. Mum's were picnicking on the grass nearby and they didn't look like they were going anywhere soon. So I wandered off to play in the sand pit and when I returned thankfully they were gone. Well I went over and under, again and again without turning up anything. OK, closer look required. Thought I could see something but not sure. A bit of a fiddle and bingo, got the sucker.Great hide Wynnum Wanderers loved it.
A close examination reveals there is no way of giving this a shot. Should have read the description to save time however our examination of this beautifully restored antique was not wasted. A well thought out clever hide... **TFTC**
We have one full day in Brisbane today before heading home to Christchurch tomorrow evening so decided to take the train to Wynnum to explore the area (and find a cache or two ). An interesting and scenic geotour, with some tricky hides but unfortunately with a high percentage of DNFs. Thanks to all the COs for contributing to our enjoyable day.
I got to GZ first, while StreetWalker headed off to visit the library. I was still hunting for the cache by the time he got there. So he showed me how it was done by finding the cache straight off . Nice hide but I think I need to go to Specsavers! It was lovely to see WomblesBJ&T were the last finders. TFTC.

#12831. I needed a loo break, and figured the library was a good place to go (it was). When I got to GZ Troodles was still searching for the cache. By using the cache name, and my (spec-assisted) eyesight, I soon spotted the nicely hidden cache. TFTC.
We are on holiday from CHCH NZ visiting our family in Wynnum and of course finding a few Caches around the district..Sharp eyes noticed the very clever and sneaky hidey hole..TFTC
Cheers Barbara & Terry..
Cheers Barbara & Terry..
Spotted by marlie38. This is the first of this type of cache that I have seen. Very clever and tricky. TFTC
I was in the area heading to the meeting over this way tonight and decided to stop for a find on the way. It thankfully did not take to long to find it and there was no weird contortions needed either. However I had the cover story ready (I am hunting pokemon) hehe.
Anyway I got it signed and back into place before heading off for a little walk.

Found on a night caching trip. Haven't seen a cache like this before! Very unique, fits in well tftc and good hide!
Me and my sister managed to find it within 10 minutes it actually wasn't that hard!
Out on the Wynnum Trail again today.
We saw where this cache was yesterday but in the rain it was too wet.
We came back today and soon had the sneaky cache in hand.
Signed the log and returned to hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Wynnum Wanderers All good with this cache

Today we caching in the Wynumm area with Kristie Morgan, we found a variety of caches in some interesting places.
We hunted foe quiet some time, somebody mentioned I bet it will be either red or black when we find it.
A very tricky hide, I feel it could be higher than a 2.4D Favourite point given
Thanks for placing this cache Wynnum Wanderers

Headed out for the night with the geomum for a quick cache hunt.
This was first on the list.
Nice quick find under the cover of darkness. Not too many muggles about. I think the cold scared them away. Nice to see this local icon relocated to its new home.
TFTC and off to the next one.....

10/7/16 Out caching with Marina25 today. Thankfully both Marina25 and I had found this type before, so it was a nice quick find. TFTC Wynnum Wanderers
My mate Pipper pointer used to live just over the road, so I'm very familiar with this block and its development in recent times.
Still, I was a bit surprised to see the GZ and realise what was needed. I'm familiar with this type of hide and had my tweezers ready but it still took a bit of time before I could make the find.
TFTC where all is fine.

I had parked close by to hunt for the new cache and when I returned to my car I decided that I should check on this one.
I must be blind. I had a thorough search of the object but couldn't locate the cache.

Geocaching around Wynnum today with Nadine1989, Patrol14 and Joojoo57. It was a sunny winter's day, but the wind chill from those winter westerlies is quite biting! All up I am logging 24 finds and one DNF - not a bad haul seeing it included 9 of the "W" mysteries and a few Multi caches as well.
We were here a few weeks back but drew a blank. Then the CO gave an extra hint on the web page, so back today and eagle-eyed Nadne1989 found the cache cleverly hidden in a very unusual container. Good one - Favourite award.
Found at 3.40pm on 6th July 2016. TFTC.

A plan was hatched by RoddyC to attack the Geo-Art W of Wynnum one day when everyone was available and today was that day. After an early start, RoddyC, Nadine1989, Joojoo57 and myself hit the road to see how many of these and others we can get done.
Arriving near GZ brought back memories of my school days spent at this school. The old wooden buildings near Charlotte Street have been removed but the old brick building still remains. The car park and Woolies use to be the playing grounds where softball, football and cricket was played.
With many eyes and a little understanding of what we were looking for, the cache was found by Nadine. All signed logbook and was returned to its sneezy hide.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 9:08am. With a little bit of help we managed to find and log this cache. TFTC
What a blast. Came when the muggles were asleep. An extraction tool would come in handy. TFTC.
This was my last DNF for the day - had about 8 out of 20 - not very good stats at all! Think I checked everywhere but not the right place - another time.
Gave it my best shot and almost ready to surrender when I said to Muggle son "I think I know where it is" and sure enough I came up with the goods. TFTC
If only I had a look at who the CO was. It might've made it a bit easier. I have found something very similar in the same week. Took me and Escott77 ages to find it. Kept going around in circles. Then we heard a voice asking if we found it. A helping hand by the name of back2 bas6 came and was very much welcomed. Thanks for help. Was very lovely to finally meet both of you. TFTC.
A stroke of good luck and timing resulted in this find for Mitchiemus and I. I was thinking "here we go again!" with a similar structure to Big Bang II becoming just as allusive. Fortunately a Wynnum local stopped for a long chat and by the time he left, we were joined by two more locals, asking "have you found it yet?" Thank goodness the Calvary have arrived!!!! Only to be told I had my hand right on it lol. Thanks Bac2Bay6 for the hand and lovely to meet you too. Tftc
I was at the new library on Saturday with the kids and I was thinking that I should place a cache there to commemorate it's opening. I decided a nano on the cannon would be best and I created the listing on the spot and ordered the container.
Then I was chatting to someone on Monday night and they mentioned that a new cache had been released.
I jumped on the site to have a look. Aargh! It's exactly where I was going to put my cache. That's the second time in as many days that I've been beaten to a spot. I obviously need to move quicker. Lol.
Tonight I had some time to spare after picking up the geoboy and I know he loves climbing all over the cannon so we headed down there. He crawled all over it but it was me who made the tricky find.
A nice effort for your first cache but I would suggest that the rating is more like a D3 than a D1. YMMV.

Missed out by '-' that much! LOL ...
The notification came through & we were sitting at home base having a quiet Crownie.
What to do, what to do?
Simple really, jump in the Geo-beast & head out to see what other crazies are cruising the streets at this time of night!
I was pretty sure someone would beat me to the find as I know there are now several new cachers living closer than us but what the heck, this is where the fun kicks in on FTFs! LOL ...
Made good time & soon found myself parked across the road from GZ.
Wandered in & could see no-one about.
Could it be?
A quick, cursory, hands on inspection revealed nothing & I was about to resort to torchlight when I was approached by a suspicious looking young lady & a handsome young fellow who revealed themselves to be none other than team members of The Hinds-xo!
Greetings exchanged & as I was chatting to Mum, the young fellow inadvertently revealed the location of the object of my search.
He had actually made FTF & had come back because they forgot to add the date.
I'm getting too old for this, pipped at the post by a youngster! LOL ...
High fives exchanged, log updated to include the date & our mark then replaced as found.
Great hide Wynnum Wanderers.
I think I've seen something like this before???
Well placed.

Looking forward to your next instalment!
