I arrived at GZ, approximately, and found nothing so read the hint. Hmmm, I'm in a culvert and I'm sure the box isn't in THERE. Spread the search net a bit and found the box. While egging away, I noticed the GPSr was now saying, "hey, here it is" . Upon opening, I had the log in hand immediately as it wasn't where it is supposed to be. A lot of other eggs were broken, so I set about tidying everything up so the next finder can have the intended experience.

I was in the area to attend a social function at the waterfront and clear a couple of local DNF's that had been plaguing me. I found this one along the journey and thought I would stop in for a quick cache find. Today was NOT the day for caching in tree/forest areas given all of the recent rain - the mosquitoes were swarming by the bazillions. So, playing 'where is the cache', followed by 'where is the log', was an extremely 'fun' game while beating off the little bities that wanted to feast on me. BUT....it didn't take too long to locate the cache, and only a little bit longer to locate the log book (in my favourite colour! Woohoo!). Log signed. All in good condition, but some of the eggs are a little cracked and could do with replacing to enhance the fun for any geokids who may be wanting to explore this one. Thanks for the adventure - what a fun idea.

After dropping off my husband at the airport early this morning, I drove over the Gateway to do some geocaching in this area. Slowly heading back home from the coast, I targeted a few interesting looking caches including this one. I quickly found the container and found the log sheet after opening about half a dozen others. A fun cache. All good here and tftc

Out and about this afternoon to pick up a few south side caches on a beautiful sunny winters day in south east Queensland.

Found a safe place to park the car and made my way to ground zero to locate the cache. Didn’t take long before the cache was in hand and pen applied to the log. Returned the cache to its hiding place and trudged back to the car

A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Cheers

TFTC!! It's Easter long holiday of course it doesn't feel complete unless we find a Easter-themed cache. We spotted it as soon as we arrived GZ, and luckily with our 3rd attempt we found the logsheet! It's rare to find such a big cache these days, so thank you CO for placing the cache:) Happy Easter!

Always great getting a large cache

Brisbane and Sunny Coast, it is great to be back! I have lived here for a short period many, many years ago. At that time generally only caches at prominent spots or with plenty of favourite points attracted my attention. A lot has changed since then and I am all into the deeper caching stats since quite some time. Some years ago I wanted to put faces to names, so had planned to attend the local Mega Event and find numerous caches while being in the area. Unfortunately, the pandemic got in the way and meant that I had to cancel all travel arrangements last minute. This left me with a list of literary hundreds of caches, which included solved geoarts, caches that were worth getting to due to their old age or their rare type, challenge caches, or caches that would count towards filling my individual size and type D/T matrixes. Fortunately, this list that took months to prepare was not for nothing, as now I am finally back in the area, even if it’s just for a short trip. In the lead up to my current visit I updated my list and tried to streamline the route as good as possible to make the best out of my limited time. The grand aim aside of getting a couple more caches for filling my Jasmer calendar was completing lots of loops! This included completing my 4th and 5th overall D/T matrix loop and completing the D/T matrix using only mystery caches, and only micro sized caches and only small sized caches caches!! Of course the shabby weather couldn’t stop me from putting my plan into action. So, I am now very happy to log my find of this cache after all this effort. Thank you very much EatSleepCacheRepeat_ for creating and placing Eggceptionally Eggnoying! It certainly was a great trip which brought me to great caches and locations!

Found with an intrepid group of cachers....one of whom was out for their 3000th. We had an awesome outing and can't wait to get going on our next day out. TFTC.

05-Mar-23
The third for the day as I am on the home stretch to find my 3000th cache today. I chose some special ones to be a part of today. If any needed maintenance- we did it. Found with 1MinnieMoo, Kbreeahh and Cosmonaut97 with many laughs and shenanigans on the way. This could have taken us a lot longer. I know this because I just made one of them myself

5/3/2023 Find #5793
Today was supposed to be a big day, a milestone for SaintsMadHouse. But we had a few select caches to grab before we reached that, carefully chosen by SaintsMadHouse herself.
As we wandered over to GZ we were very surprised to find the cache looking rather obvious here. How it doesn’t disappear we will never know.
Opening it up we were ready for a challenge, however found the log very quickly indeed.
Thanks for the cache EatSleepCacheRepeat_.

Dropped by this one on my way to another cache on the dark side. I am targetting the large caches and old caches today, and this one certainly fit the bill! Finding the cache was no problem, but oh no, what is that! I was rather methodical, eventually securing the log. Sad to see that some have bypassed the intent of the cache and slipped a piece of paper into what is not the log. I've seen a few of this style before and sadly it is an honour system that not all adhere to. Anyway, log found, signed, and all replaced as found. Well done eat sleep cache repeat on a lovely cache.

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
After a 4 month slump it was great to out & about finding caches. The cache was eggzactly where the coords said it would, and then I opened the cache. What no Easter eggs wow I found the log inside the 5th egg And after a busy day of caching I rewarded myself with some Easter eggs to give me boost to write up all todays logs

28-Feb-21
So this morning I meet with Willis007 and had a plan to grab a few caches on the way to a CITO tree planting event. An early start to beat the heat and the traffic so as we could be home early.

I had a list of target caches for after the event, this was one of those and it was just a short detour before we reached GZ. A nice little walk and we found the cache easily, oh how eggciting. We open the cache and our eggcellent adventure started, we eggnord the items of swap and concentrated on the battery of items in front of us. We separated the whites and found the log, this was no yoke, lucky for us today we didn’t end up with egg on our face.

All good with this one and with the log signed and cache replaced as found we were onto the next one on our list. Thanks for placing this one here.

28-Feb-21
After the nearby CITO event, CHAMAD and I collected a few more caches before heading back to the north side.
Making our way to gz, this one was spotted quickly. Then the fun began Wink
Log was signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks eat.sleep.cache.repeat for the fun cache.

27-Sep-20
Stumped us today.

27-Sep-20
This one put a huge smile on our faces.
Then it was time to see if it was our lucky lotto day. Definitely not. I reckon we got about 2/3 through and then Eureka!...We had a log to sign.
We have one something a little similar to this idea in West End, although this one is definitely designed to send you a little more eggcentric and eggceptionally crazy.
Thanks eat.sleep.cache.repeat.
We had a favourite too!

Replacement arrived yesterday. Will be back up and running by next weekend

I confirmed today that this was missing. Replacement is coming from China so may take a while depending on postage. Will explore a temp option if it does not arrive within a few weeks.

Possibly missing - ordered replacement, will fix when it arrives Smile

29-Oct-19
In the great month of October 2019, I have made a very un-great number of finds. Three, apparently. It's just been a busy month without much motivation left for geocaching. Today I found myself again not too far away and felt I could justify a little bit of time finding a geocache and enjoying being outside.

Scrolling around the map, I found this icon not too far away. I was attracted by the Large size. It's normally an ever-ongoing hunt for the elusive, rare and 'why-are-they-all-so-far-away' Large geocache so I was happy to see this one so close. And not ever put off by an annoying challenge, of all the geocaches today, I choose this one.

While listening to a podcast, I navigated the streets and found a parking space with a path heading the right direction. I wandered off. Not paying much attention to the app, I wound up standing in a drain, though it was here I saw a family of ducks and their ducklings roosting across the creek.

The phone wanted me to be just a jump to the left, so staying in the bushes and out of sight of some passing muggles, I made my way there. It was now I realised the creek isn't flowing given the wet weather and therefore stagnant. And the mosquitoes were horrendous!

As the best of my ability, I swatted and/or ignored as I had now seen the geocache. It wasn't *as* large as I was expecting, but definitely bigger than the average. Inside, all became apparent. Having been looking up a lot, the eggs now made sense. I did my usual 'count on the way in' method though didn't have to put too much effort in! Having said that, the logbook was in the second-to-last place I could have checked.

More swats, slaps and splatters of mosquitoes later, I had my name in the logbook, the lid back on the container and replaced as found. All done, now back to the car and home. Thanks for this geocache, EatSleepCacheRepeat_

27-Oct-19
I had packed my bike up and drove here and it was quick to find this cache but to sign the log book I decided to sit down and lucky I did as it was the last place I looked. lol. what a great idea for a cache , I love all the notes and of course I read every one of them. Thanks for all the fun. Giving it a FP

27-Aug-19
I read the title and had a good idea what to eggpect, just my cluck, it was in the last place I looked
I loved reading all the eggstra bits of eggcouragement. Thanks eggain

Nearby at the can recycling factory so we stopped off to check on this one. Geogirl had a muggle friend with her who was very excited to find a geocache so we let her navigate to the hide.
Shortly she called out, ‘I can’t find the geocache just an old box’
Hehe so cute!
All good here.

17-Apr-19
Third state in a day. Yeh! Pity about the mozzies. Tftc

17-Apr-19
Out with barb2e this arvo and we searched the wrong area first as the gps wasn’t all that helpful. Discovered the error of our ways and were soon in the right area and located what we were after. Then of course the fun began! A great one! Dropped a trackable and picked up another one! TFTC!

03-Apr-19
Was nearby over the weekend but missed this one.
Came back in the dark and rain tonight.
With the dark, it took me some time to even find the large container.
Then I solved the task by colour. Would have been easier with light and fewer mozzies
Log signed
Thank you

Out for the day with nikid1. Had to back track a little to find the cache as we'd walked in too far, then it was down to work! Had a chuckle at some of the quotes until we found the 'good egg'. Took the tb.
