Container was exposed but log dry. Covered and replaced. Thanks for the hide.Hicky
Found 27/08/24. Cache was partly washed away. Although the log is dry, its starting to fall apart due to a lack of spiral rings, be careful and dont let any pages blow away. Have put it back more securely.
Was out on a country tour with ilook4geo and looking for some caches away from cities. This cache was an easy find on a great caching day. All good with this one. Thanks go to minniek for placing this cache.
Enjoyed a day out caching with goingplaces2. Log here was signed and replaced. TFTC.

Day 4 of a 4 day geocaching bender for Team Doodads (Garbageman and 2 geokids). Today we started in Goulburn, pulled a loop through Crookwell, and headed home to Newcastle via the Southern Highlands. A 70 cache day, which was a fair effort for two quite tired kids.
Lol, and here was I thinking I’d had my fill of grass seeds this week. Facepalm! Oh well, it’s a find TNLN TFTC

The old taking a picture ruse works well here. Dropped off the JCS Sunflower SB8M33. Was going to drop at Cabramurra but roads were closed. TFTC
Haven't been overdoing the ol' caching of late but this is what is all about. Haven't been blogging much of late so was inspired to go for a ride around the roads around Crookwell which are bliss on a motorbike (and blog the ride). A few stops along the way including here. Thought I would fire up the App on the phone and lo and behold, what do we have here ???? This is what its all about, bringing people to a nice location and then not having to search for something that the hider doesn't want found. Great stuff ! I'll even include a photo !
Being based in Goulburn at the caravan park we headed out to find this cache.. Nice one. Thanks to minniek for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

While staying in Goulburn on our travels we travelled to Crookwell and back. Approached GZ and found cache, signed log and replaced. Due to the number of caches found, I am doing a generic log. Thank you to CO's for placing these caches in their locations - it was fantastic to visit this area. TFTC

Was in the area, so decided to nab this one as well! Not sure it was a good day for it, what with the extremely fierce - super icy cold wind (and not to mention the constant horizontal drizzle). Not that I really got wet, the wind dried me as fast as the rain could wet me! The car said it was averaging 3-4 degrees outside, but with the wind chill, I recon it felt like -10! One thing I though odd was that many of the wind turbines around here were stationary! (Others were going flat chat!). I would have thought on a day like today, they would all be going flat out! Maybe I need to report a needs maintenance .
Nice quick find here, thanks minniek.

OCW Stumble'sMate for an epic geocaching trip. As usual, our day was alot longer than anticipated but that's what you get when you geocache. Sorry for the delay in logging! TFTC all.
OCW StumbleTrip today. Our aim was to do the trip between Goulburn, Taralga, Laggan, Crookwell and back Goulburn. All up we attempted 67 caches of which 4 were DNF's. Time wise we took way longer than we had calculated but then we didn't really have a time limit! Thanks to the cache owners for placing all the caches we attempted today!

This year (2018) I have been trying to get more caches to boost my total finds. This weekend I decided to do all the caches from Goulburn to Taralga to Laggan to Crookwell to Wayo to Goulburn. Sadly I was going to do this trip on the Saturday but Geowife (Blueiris) was feeling unwell and I stayed home to look after her. Today 21/1/2018 she was feeling better so we headed out to complete the previous day’s plans. I wanted to try and get 69 caches in total. I left home at 0630 and headed to Goulburn for a lovely McDonalds breakfast before starting the massive caching day. The first cache of the day was GC74HCZ, a quick find and almost all the finds for the day were quick. I wanted to set a fast pace of approximately 8 minutes per cache including driving time. I am happy to let everyone know that I got a total of 72 caches for the day in 12 hours exactly. Not a bad effort at all if you ask me. The wildlife along the trip was fantastic. The animals that I spotted consisted of Wombats, Kangaroos, Wallabies, various Lizards, Spiders and so many bird species that I could not possibly name then all. The first part of the trip was also done in thick smoke from the Taralga Fire. This fire has burnt about 960 hectares (about 2372 acres). The bushfire was burning about eight Kms to the north-east of Taralga and north of Bannaby Road area. It was burning through bush and grassland in a south-westerly direction. Fire crews from Taralga were fighting the fire with additional crews from Marulan and Bungonia joining in to help. These crews consisted of 77 fire fighters supported by numerous aircraft and heavy machinery. Smoke from the fire could be seen from up to 200kms away. Anyway enough chit chat, thanks for the cache and for making my caching experience today so much more fun. Please keep up the good work by putting out more caches. Sorry for the generic logs but with so many caches found in one day it is impossible to put private logs for them all. Signed the cache DSD, Darkside or Darksidedan depending how big the logbook was and how much room there was in it.
This was another quick find for us on our way from Crookwell back to Goulburn.

The second day of the year has seen us do a run to crookwell and on the way we managed to find a previous DNF (only one of our own failures) add 2 more DNFs and found a total of 19 traditionals this being number 14 for the day.

Today we were up early to do the Taralga Trek. It was a cool morning as we left but soon warmed up by midday. This gave us a nice tiki tour of the surrounding countryside as we have not visited this part of NSW. We were surprised to see a few windmill farms along our journey.

Long weekend. I better time to go caching. I drove down from Greystanes on Friday afternoon so I could get an early start on my caching day. As I start to log them I have no idea how many caches I got today my target was 75 on my own.
Today did have a lot of first for me.
Saw my first geo snake which slithered away as I approached. I have a really fear of snake so was shaken for a while.
I saw my first beware of funnel web spider sign and then saw 2 on the cache.
I traveled 606km from the time I left home and then got home again tonight.
Thanks to all the geocachers whose caches I find today. If it was. It for you guys I would not have had a fantastic day. Seen some amazing and not so amazing sights.
Thanks heaps.

I had been sick with the flu and was champing on the bit to get out and cache... so a trip to Crookwell was organised. I haven't been out this way for years and it didn't disappoint. Finalf29 and I had a wonderful drive on such a glorious afternoon finding sixteen, before it got too dark.
This was our sixth for the arvo. Beaut view with so many wind turbines. Which way?... on to Crookwell of course. Thanks

Managed to get go on a little road trip on the weekend with StrangeTrousers and mtrax for a day doing the Goulburn, Crookwell, Taralga loop before returning to Canberra.
It was beautiful to watch the wisps of flog in the valley as we drove through the countryside. Once the fog lifted it turned out to be a stunning day to be gallivanting around the countryside finding caches.
A great day's caching in the end. Matrix and I got 40 whilst ST collected 30 having already picked up a few on an earlier visit.
One big aim was to log the Rocky cache – as my boxer is names rocky. Yes he is a complete fruit loop as are most boxers. Loved some of the churches and was very happy to get one of them having seen but unable to stop. Especially loved the Caution Funnel - Web Spider sign at one of the cemetery’s visited.

Out with CBRChic and mtrax for a day trip up to Goulburn, Crookwell, Taralga and back to Goulburn.
It was a foggy start to the day but it was clearing by the time we'd had our coffee fixes in Gouburn. So we headed up the Crookwell road into a mix of bright sunshine & cloud.
A great day's caching in the end. I got 30 and CC & mtrax managed about 40 each. Some highlights for me were Pejar, and the amazing Catholic church in Taralga.
We spotted some back-headed sheep and a fox here.

Second day of caching in the Goulburn/Crookwell area. The weather is perfect, nice and clear and low twenties, all you can wish for caching. Again a lot of nice caches and a few I missed yesterday, all finished at the event at the historic waterworks. Then rushing back to the Illawarra to make the home event there!
