Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. We set out today for a nice drive in the countryside using Geocaching as our guide. TFTC Aussie Liahona
We pulled in between the roadworks signs for a quick find here. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Aussie Liahona.
Some of the weeds in the area are doing their best to try and take over GZ. Where the weeds weren’t winning the spiders were. tftc

A lovely long weekend in NNSW with T4mmmy. Today the main target was this circuit - next up was here for another nice quick find. Nicer here under the trees.
Thanks Aussie Liahona for entertaining me at this location.

Logging this as a DNF but having looked at the photos in the gallery its entirely possible we missed what we actually needed to look for.
Sorry! Thank you for the stop.

After a road closure stopped us yesterday (Tyalgum to Uki) we decided to return today to complete the nearby AL, and let it guide us through the caches of the area. We grabbed 21 extra caches without a DNF, always a treat, and a beautiful area as well.
Oliver jumped out for this one, found quickly too, he got the name.... TFTC!

Found today while driving to get the 2 AL locations that we missed last time we came through due to road closures and running low on light, in about 3 hours we managed to collect 21 finds and also 2 adventure lab points.

On my way from Canberra to North Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
Quick find but took ages to get the log out of the container.

Replaced this one today as this area had been metres under water. Today there were enormous piles of dirt piled up around the sign holding the cache. This dirt had been all over the road left behind by the flood water.
The Ankh-Morpork City Watch, resurrected practically only in the last few years, takes care of crimes out of the jurisdiction or sight of the Guilds, ranging from sporadic unlicensed burglaries and thefts, to major crimes or conspiracies (such as attempted assassinations of the Patrician) against the city.
Our annual holiday trip to the Mexican state of New South Wales to catch up with outlaws and other family members. I like it because it’s a chance to get in some caching for a few hours a day. Today’s plan was a short drive to the hinterland for the areas of Stokers Siding, Murwillumbah, Uki and finish back at Stokers Siding. Seems there are some new caches in the area since I was here last and some I missed last time. It was supposed to be a nice little loop, but as best plans go, it did not end well and I finished at Uki. Just gives me a new starting point for the next run.
This was the next one on my list, I parked right next to the cache location and only had to open the door to collect. All good with this cache, I signed the log and replaced as found before heading off to the next one. Thanks for the hide and the neat location.

This weekend, I headed south to NSW to Lismore and Casino on Saturday, followed by Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast on Sunday, meeting different geocaching groups on both days.
Today, I started finding a few geocaches in Lismore before joining Beardman75 and georode in travelling to Casino. Our focus today was the *Ferg Loves Puzzles* series, and we managed to find a few others in and around the township of Casino, before departing around 15:00 hr back to Lismore. I then took the solo journey to stay the night at Robina, travelling via Goolmangar, Coffee Camp, Nimbin, Blue Knob, Mount Burrell, Uki, and Murwillumbah. A long day out and about!
I thought this geocache would be rather quick, but it turned out everything about this cache was tough. It took a few minutes to make this cache find, then I needed to utilise a couple of natural TOTTs to extract the cache, then the lid was quite tough to open, and finally the logbook was well jammed in! Although this geocache only had difficulty of 1.5, it felt like 2.5-3.0. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After 4 weeks of battling floods in NSW then Covid in QLD then the Torrential rain during the mega we were heading home. We stopped for the night at Murwillumbah then thought we would have a down day and do some caching in the picturesque area.
We stopped near this one and made bets on where it would be as we approached. We both guessed correctly and when we went to retrieved the cache the local ants took offence and started guarding it. We tried to explain we only wanted to sign the log but no they kept coming and did not want us to get it. Eventually we used a TOTT and after flicking the stubborn ones off were able to add our name to the log. Same TOTT was used for replacement.
Not too many ants were injured during this retrieval.
Many thanks once mare Aussie Liahona for a great series of caches.

Random Sunday without the kiddo's so we had some mummy and daddy time. Went on a big road trip through the country side, visiting some towns I've never been to and revisiting some of my favorites. Found a total of 21 today and this was cache 11
Continuing south along the road, heading towards Lismore area, this was the next one. Thanks to a nice and easy hint, the cache was quickly in hand. Once it was retrieved, the log was signed and replaced as found. Cache was in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona

I had one day to find the last 20 caches to reach 1999 before the end of the year. So today was the day. I found 7 by 1pm, wasn't looking good. Then the battery on my car died whilst I took a call. Duh!
But I managed to find them. Thanks to all the COs who hid these caches around Murwillumbah and Uki. I had to stop when I found my 20 so I'll be back to find more caches soon.
1999...time to stop for the day.

Found with Epicest, a bit difficult to get the log out but got there in the end
We parked across the road from this one and then went straight to GZ. Nearby awesome spectacular gardens with a lot of statues. It looks like quite a word of art inside the fence. Very beautiful with an incredible mountain looming in the low clouds ahead of us.

I'd been up in Currumbin today, and was taking the shortcut home. I didn't realise this cache was here or I would have found it earlier! I drive this was quite a bit. It didn't take long and I had the cache in hand. I checked the map and saw that there was another one own the road that I hadn't found yet either - so off I go!
Thanks Aussie Liahona!

Out today looking for jewels down south. Of course we were doing these anti-clockwise, but survived. Needed some brute force to remove as we think previous cacher was overenthusiastic in securing the cache. TFTC Aussie Liahona

Heading down to Lismore for a CITO this afternoon, via Uki, Kyogle and Casino, so we're grabbing some caches along the way.
After driving for 2 hours this one was a good excuse to get out and stretch the legs. An easy find before moving along.

Log signed at 10:02 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the experience, the smilie, and for placing this cache **Aussie Liahona**.

Mrs Boofhead is back in form! Got this one super quick. Tweezers helped extract from container. Tftc
Thanks for this one. Rather difficult to get out of hide as well as holder. Needed tweezers for the holder, the hide should be easier to get out for the next person
I think that I may have also found this over a year ago and forgot to log it as it looks so familiar. Thanks AL - a quick find.
After a quick search cache was found, log written on and then replaced again! Keeping my streak going! Tftc
My 1st cache for 2019, quick find while in the area. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to Aussie Liahona.

Not sure i wanted to find this cache. A few years back my late geo hubby and I located a cache and got covered in sticky pegs. Today The X-Trailers and I encounted them again. Luckily we found the cache and then five minutes of hard work to clean our clothes. Agh !! The joys of geo caching . . TFTC
Last day in the Tweed Valley and so I had another hour to chase a few in the rain. Drove out after lunch from Murwillumbah to Uni and worked my way back into town. The weather was a bit ominous and the last cache dulled my enthusiasm a bit but did get a few sorted - the rest will have to wait until next trip.
The rain was starting here and so I was glad this was a quick find. There is a catcher in Albury that likes this type of hide so I knew what to look for - just went to the wrong end first! TFTC

Heading out for a grand tour of the Tweed Valley with joojoo57 as my chauffeur and guide. We set out from Tweed Heads, headed south to Murwillumbah, south again through Fernvale and Stokers Siding to Uki, north to Byangum and west to Tyalgum, collecting about 30 caches for me, and just 2 for joojoo
Time to collect a few of Aussie Liahona's caches! I followed the wrong geotrail at first, but soon had the container in hand. Had to get out a tool to get out the logbook. TFTC, AL.

Today we went for a Sunday drive on a Thursday. Headed north & then circled back, travelling through scenic country side & quaint villages. Caches were well maintained & in some good locations.
Bill was covered in sticky plants from near this cache. Found them on the head rest also when we got home.
Thanks for placing this cache Aussie Liahona

Hint was spot on, but extracting the cache was harder than expected as we had misplaced our extraction tool. Squirrellette was eventually able to extract the logbook though, so it was dutifully signed, returned and replaced to its hiding spot.
After staying the night in Murwillumbah at Dante Mc's place we headed out to find a few caches.
He had to update his membership to log this one.
A short search beforespotting this one.
Thanks for the cache.

Enjoying the scenic delights afforded by following this set of caches we were happy to add this one to our tally & continue on in search of more as our targets were looking like being met. TFTC

We are spending the weekend camping in Pottsville & headed up to Mt Warning to climb the summit track only to find the national park & track closed due to the recent devastating effects of ex-cyclone Debbie. After the kids had a lovely clamber around the rocks in the nearby stream we headed back towards the coast with some time to stop for a little bit of caching along the way.
Cache number 2 for today. A nice quick find & we managed to park right beside the cache. Another fresh log in a newly replaced cache. Log signed & replaced as found.
TFTC Aussie Liahona & for replacing the lost caches so quickly
