What a lovely spot and so peaceful and tranquil. Great to learn about the history of this spot and was an easy find with yummy az eats. Couldnt see any statues and next time we might bring our own fire and sit here for a picnic. Tftc
A quick park and grab. A nice little spot that I otherwise would never have come to. Unfortunately it was raining when I arrived, so I just grabbed the cache, signed the log and jumped back in my car. TFTC
I found this one while out for a ride in the area on my motorbike today. It's a great little picnic ground in an out of the way location.
An easy enough find, as I rolled up and park the cache was in full view. I love these caches that bring me to a place I would never have found otherwise.
A favorite from me for this one.
Signed the log, re-hid the cache, enjoyed the location, then on my bike and off to the next one.

Our final day among the iconic rolling hills of South Gippsland. We spent the first part of the day in the terrific company of Suscoe, before we headed off for a few caches that we wanted to find. Green & lush at the moment, fantastic for the Angus, Guernseys, Holsteins, Illawarras & Ayshires who claim the hills as home. What a delightful tribute - easily worthy of a FP.
Thanks helsinski for placing interesting caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Well what a day, we had prepared for rain and cooler conditions but apart from a few spots the day was pretty good all round with sunshine most of the time and a cool breeze to remind us that the southerly can be a cooling influence.
We covered a wonderful range of countryside with hills, farmlands, swampy areas and townships.
All up this was a pretty good day for caching.

Thanks to helsinski for showing us this quiet place.

Pretty spot which I didn't even know was here!! Easy find and lots of good treasures to swap! x
This was my first early morning caching run for 2021. As such it wasn't as early as most of my caching runs but I was out the door just after 6 am, heading down Nyora and Kongwak area FTF hunting and collecting any other local caches that caught my eye.
This was certainly an interesting and unexpected area. It would have been nice to spend more time here, however the drizzle is getting heavier again
Thanks for the cache Helsinski

The weather was looking good and I needed to get out of the house, with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed out to explore more of Gippsland, armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. Fantastic out of the way location, loved the detour to this spot.
Thanks helsinski for the cache.

Couldn’t resist going to the creek after finding gc Love the sound of flowing water.
A great little pullout for the geokids to get out and stretch their legs. Live the sign and the name. I'll have to remember to come out here for a picnic one day.
Today’s frosty morning made for a sunny Sunday drive and a chance for a bit of cache maintenance while enjoying the beautiful views of the area. After quite a detour around the green hills of Gippsland we stumbled on this cache. Thank you for highlighting this lovely area with a cache.
I was out this way on a wet and cold Saturday morning to buy some Beaded Buff Silkie pullets from a lady. I had some lovely Bearded Buff Silkie Pullets and three A hole foxes ate them. So Sad!
Foxes are small-to-medium-sized, omnivorous mammals belonging to several genera of the family Canidae. Foxes have a flattened skull, upright triangular ears, a pointed, slightly upturned snout, and a long bushy tail (or brush).
Twelve species belong to the monophyletic "true foxes" group of genus Vulpes. Approximately another 25 current or extinct species are always or sometimes called foxes; these foxes are either part of the paraphyletic group of the South American foxes, or of the outlying group, which consists of bat-eared fox, gray fox, and island fox.[1] Foxes live on every continent except Antarctica. By far the most common and widespread species of fox is the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) with about 47 recognized subspecies.[2] The global distribution of foxes, together with their widespread reputation for cunning, has contributed to their prominence in popular culture and folklore in many societies around the world. The hunting of foxes with packs of hounds, long an established pursuit in Europe, especially in the British Isles, was exported by European settlers to various parts of the New World.

Found today in the company of a local. The local farmer was even mowing the lawn for us as we arrived. Lovely!
Found at 9:58 AM GAFF1 in the company of xambo4u..
This cache suddenly became our closest to where we are camped in Cape Paterson and so this morning I grabbed Robyn to head off to do a small tour of this pretty area. Arrived at GZ and was surprised to see the sign broken - looked like it was made in 1904!
Not sure that this little reserve is used for travellers to rest anymore - not even to have a picnic it seems. Just a nice little park that is probably maintained by the locals.
Thanks helsinski.

Caching around the area with +wife today.
We are staying with friends just out of Loch and drove to Korrumburra to take photos from a lookout (andacache) then on to Koonwarra for a Letterbox Hybrid (andatrad). Down to Cape Liptrap and then back through Inverloch and Kongwak.
Our last find for the day. Coswecanrestawhile before heading back to our mate's place.
They had not heard of this spot but will soon be down to check it out.

Hobo the vagabond Traveler has decided this looks like a nice campsite so he has taken up temporary residence here by the creek.

23/07/2016 - 1.15pm - No. 608 - 2nd for the day - with dgfb33.
We'd planned to head out early & attempt a FTF for another cache & then further on for a stop for a purchase in Warragul but our day started a little later than expected as the howling gale & rain put us off, just a little!!! I thought I'd check if the ftf for the other cache was still up for grabs & noticed a brand new one had been published that was close to home and on our way. Our route was a little circuitous than we normally use for a trip to Warragul but ftf's ... why wouldn't anyone drive a bit out of their way? [?] Off we drove into odd/looming looking weather but luckily the rain kept away while we were hunting but boy was it cold & windy at some locations.
This cache had been niggling at us on the map with no smiley for a while now but we thought a trip for just this one was a bit further that we thought we should go the couple of times we were in the vacinity. We were happy we chose to leave this one for another day as we were able to incorporate this find with others in the area today. What a lovely spot it was too with the sun shining & the Willy Wagtails doing their aerial ballet! The river was quite full after or recent "weather" & I even ventured onto the bridge for some photos but not too close to the edges cos that's "DOWN"! Another spot where there were no muggles around, it makes the hunt so much easier & stressless. A lovely place that deserves a return visit, maybe with a couple of grandkids next time. A quick find & our signing was done & that allowed some leisure to watch the wildlife. Thanks for the cache.

With Ceebee2013. The nearby stream was giving strong evidence of the amount of rain we have had. TFTC.
Found today with Geobears. A very pretty spot, thanks Diane and Helen for bringing us to this spot.
We were doing the "lazing on a sunny afternoon" thing waiting for the footy to start when tassie expat came to life with a shrill "there's a first to find just popped up". A quick mental route planning put us maybe 30 minutes away so why not! A quick find in a very peaceful spot complete with meandering creek. Great little spot. Thanks for placing this cache.
Joint ftf with frmen1. Publish to ftf time was about 45mins! frmen1 had me checking the log frequently on the drive up to see if someone had beaten us. Pulled up at the gorgeous gz having broken the local land speed record and were delighted to find a pristine log book. Made our mark, took pics and then went for an explore. We love geocaching, the places it takes us and the dedication of the COs. TNLN TFTC Fav pt for bringing us somewhere new.
