Decided to spend some time this morning with myself and my GPSr and the car with the plan to clear some caches between home the the SWH.

The day was not to warm, but at time hot, but still, nice to find these little prizes in the Bush. Some I made more difficult that they needed to be, and only 3 DNFs today.

This find brings my total number of Finds to 3709.Big Grin

Hi there ValoForce - having decided to go to the Mundijong Markets, we decided to look for a few caches on the way home. This was one of those and the container is in good condition, but has water ingress and the log was very wet - SL. We took a little extra time here and dried the log out some, and tipped the water out of the container, but had nothing to dry it with properly. Thanks to ValoForce for this cache - our find #5108

This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

Thought we had already logged this one. No! Relogging! Arrived at a nicely set out park and after a short walk to gz reread the description. At a loss to find a cache hole so tested the only possible place. Needed a tool. Got one. Nice cache which sported a dry log despite the bath of water it was lying in. Great hidemanship. Tftc

*Out and about letting my GPS be my guide*...

A overcast but fine day to be out and about. Parked nearby and strolled to GZ... This kept popping up on my GPS each time I passed by and today was the day I decided to stop and rectify that problem. Boy, am I glad I did. A pleasant area, great history and a fantastic, clever hide. Obviously a fave. Pity I can only dive one. Managed to grab 18 Smile today.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment ValoForce. Appreciate your effort. Big Grin
Greetings from Victoria.

Finally getting up to date with my logging, sorry for the delay!

Was in the area for a West OZ Geocaching meeting, so I thought I would take the opportunity to finally find the last ValoForce cache on the list. As per usual, it didn't disappoint!

Pulled up to a familiar area, having done the previous one here. After a short walk to GZ I looked at the likely hiding spots. After a quick search I thought to myself, could it really be? After a bit of fiddling, turned out my thoughts were correct! Signed the log and replaced the cache as found.

What an awesome cache guys, you keep knocking it out of the park! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us at WAGB 2017. Definite favourite point here.

ValoForce - jinta29 found your cache Percy's Place II on 8/4/17, 9:49 am. This is my find #6445 and find #3 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for bringing us to this location and adding to the wonderful spirit of this game!

Out on the SWH today doing some reconnaissance and just had to have a go at the odd cache here and there. I had found the previous incarnation here and this one's been on the to do list for a while now.

Arrived at GZ and was a bit puzzled at first, particularly while adhering to the hint. Rummaged around for a bit widening the search area as I went. Eventually came back to where I started and more carefully checked something I had noticed at the start and voila a cache appeared.

Luckily I had brought my pen, awarding a favourite.

ValoForce I found your cache at 2:06pm, this was the 4th of 10 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3854. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Out for a day with our valoforce friends on another geo adventure. These days which sometimes run into nights are always amazing and family highlights. The first part of the day was spent in geo delight finding our friends super awesome hides.
The second part of the day was spent here at the dam which neither geo team had visited before. Stunning views and beautiful picnic spots were found along with your awesome cache. Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful spot

LOL when you say out loud knowing the Valos this could be it, as a joke but surely not as it just looks too real. Mr Valo add this to the tour and bus the caches around it's another genius cache. Love it thanks for all your efforts amazing cache.

Stopped here on the way after a few days farmsitting. This cache had me flummoxed for a while, until I was reminded on who the CO is..... Wonderful cache, say no more! Log was wet and ants have taken residence, but that's nature hey? Well worth a fave point, wish I could give more, TFTC!

Hadn't planned on making the trip up to Byford today, but some unfinished business had to be attended to. I enjoyed finding the first cache that was placed here, but this one was even better. The workmanship is outstanding, as we have come to expect from the ValoForce team. Unfortunately, the logbook is sodden, but we still managed to leave out mark before replacing the cache as found. Thanks for yet another unique creation ValoForce.

PS Coming back to this gz prompted me to do a bit of research. Having spent considerable time up at
Cardup as a child, playing and exploring all over my Uncle Peter's farm behind the brickworks, I knew there was a connection between Percy and Peter, but wasn't sure of the exact connection. Turns out Percy was Peter's uncle, having been born ten years prior to the birth of Peter's father Harry Nairn.

NAIRN, William Percival (18 Feb 1893 - 30 Jun 1945) #W29319 - WW2
NAIRN, Harry Eric (12 Mar 1903 - 27 Aug 1990) #W67686 - WW2

From my little bit of research, it seems they were the only two boys in the family, and both went off to fight in World War 2, and both returned, but Percy only lived another two months after the VE (Victory in Europe) Day, 8th May 1945. In contrast, his younger brother Harry lived on the ripe old age of 87.

Absolutely ingenious! Love it and definitely a favourite point from me.
We were grabbing a weekend Mystery challenge with Mistraluna, when she pointed out that there's a cache we should as we are in the area anyway. And how happy I am that we did - I can say that please read the hint and it shouldn't be too hard to find. Just use logic and your fingers will find a way.

31-Jul-16
TFTC! Had some spare time between standard weekend duties so Cravo10 and I did a bit of a run picking up a few random caches that we've had our eye on. A few down the SWH trail and some new ripper caches by ValoForces in the Byford area (highly recommended - all ValoForces caches, they are simply awesome!!)

And then more caches around the mount Claremont area, mainly just park and grabs to help clear up some of the newly published caches that we haven't had time to get to recently due to working hard completing a bunch of series and trails around the burbs and bushland of Perth.

We parted ways for the evening as I attended my normal Friday night meet up with mates on Sunday due to other commitments getting in the way (mates work). After dropping my mate off home in Kalamunda the email started to ping, and ping and keep pinging. Sounds like a series?? More TbroG caches. Messaged Cravo and we arranged a meet point and then went chasing a few FTFs thinking someone would be hot on our tail given the large number of caches up for grabs.

We missed a few and left a few caches for others to claim FTF on as we like to share. Will probably grab them on our next trip to the area. Thanks

We were on a mission to log a cache with 10 or more favourites to qualify for the special souvenir - little did we realise it would entail travelling nearly 200 klms to the closest qualifying cache for us. And just to make sure - we logged three qualifiers!! Nicely done camo but can see evidence of damage in vicinity of gz. Thanks ValoForce

15-Jul-16
The first cache for the day was a ValoForce and the last cache for the day was a ValoForce. Why one would be so silly to try and find a ValoForce cache for their last cache of the day is now permanently etched in to my brain or what's left of it. I'm now recovering at home in a silly stupor.

I have got nothing to say about this cache, other than I don't believe it. Another favourite points from us, I'm fast running out of points. Darn the ValoForce crew. Wink

Thanks ValoForce for the cache.

Headed out early this morning to grab this cache hoping i wouldnt get wet and lucky for me the rain held off till i drove back home. I remember finding the last cache here so i knew where i was going and once there i parked the car and made my way to GZ. Im not going to say anything about the cache as i dont want to spoil it for the next finder. All i will say is yet another very creative cache by the Valoforce team and another well deserved favourite point TFTC ValoForce

The ValoForce cache again! The coordinates and description are so accurate and precise that one couldn’t possibly miss this. Brilliant cache design and effort worthy of a favourite point. TFTH ValoForce.

Get ready for a lot of 'pings' we have changed out caching name & are just starting the mammoth task of relogging. We have missed you on the circuit recently. Hope you are all well

Originally found & logged under the family caching name 'clan-wallace' buT time to reinvent ourselves.

We strolled up to the delightful GZ & spotted another couple enjoying the afternoon sunshine, oh no, will we have to walk away empty handed due to muggles!?......wait just a minute......that's no muggle, that's Skippy 46!
Introductions & a chat ensued, then the four of us were back on the hunt. No point taking the easy path, this is a Valoforce cache! Well done Mr Clan Wallace on the find, well done Mr Valoforce(I suspect) on another ingenious hide, well worth another Valoforce point.

I planned to drive from Thomas Rd, down SWH to Pinjarra and pick up all the new ones along that route.
Due to recent surgery I am unable to drive for 6 weeks so hubby was good enough to chauffeur me around.
Turns out that we only managed to get just out side of Byford at the end of the day due to all the new ones that had been placed since I was last in this area.
We found a total of 10 for the day with no DNFs.
Thank you for the information on Percy, what a brave man he must have been.
Hubby and I read the plaque and stopped ourselves from the temptation of checking out the bricks. We were searching around where our GPS led us when we were joined by Clan Wallace. While having a chin wag on what the instructions were and having a fleeting look around, there came a call from Mr Clan Wallace who was sure he was on to something and sure enough he had the cache in hand. Such a cleverly crafted cache which of course will be awarded another favourite point.
After having a discussion on Percy and his house, we bid farewell to Clan Wallace who told us to grab the one up the road where they saw a Bandicoot, alas that one is disabled but will keep a watch on it.

What a busy day I had today, got here to keep my streak alive at 8.20pm with only 10% battery left. Got to 4m before my battery went flat. Decided to have a quick look around but knowing Valoforces stealth, and no GPS my hopes weren't high. Then my headlight torch spotted something uniform in shape on the ground but picked it up and hope not a cache. So kept looking then I spotted something and on closer look something looked very familiar, after a few minutes of feeling and fiddling the log was mine. Another fantastic job here Valoforce and another fav point from me. Pity others haven't been quite so gentle!
