checked this out as I was close by today. Right where it is supposed to be waiting to be found.
Spent Mothers Day at Kaiteriteri Beach with the family. Knew exactly where the initial coords referred to and easily worked out the new coords, but after a long break from caching I couldnt work out how to format them to work on my phone map. Spent a while half heartedly looking around what I thought was the likely GZ but there was so much rubbish in the area (including a broken bottle) that I eventually gave up. Later on I was walking up and down trying to get the baby to sleep when I had an aha moment but had to patiently wait half an hour until she woke up before I could retrieve the cache. TFTC! Have visited here numerous times but only just thought to look for caches!
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. After our boat tour and walking I made the calculation. Question 5 I didn't understand but the checksum solved the problem and made it an easy found Just 6 meter away from my car. Isis58, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
Dieser Cache konnte heute erfolgreich geloggt werden.Danke an den owner fr's legen und pflegen TFTC Schmerzbefreit
Had to come back a second time because of all the Muggles but eventually found it!
Nice feature at lovely beach, pity it's not working. Out with busy paws exploring area. Enjoyed getting info then moved to final. Waited for muggles to leave and found cache. Thanks for this multi and cache Isis58.
Multi answers quickly done. Finding the cache took a while (in the dark) but after I found the non natural object (by now fully covered in natural camo), the hint made sense and the log was quickly found. Thanks for this multi with some interesting history, tftc!
Quickly worked out the co ords for this Multi Was down here with Jag and Supernannny. Didn't take me long to find the final .Thanks for interesting history.
Back in June, four Wellingtonians (NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ and YetiNZ) came down to visit the Nelson region. We had such a blast that we decided to do it again, and here we are!During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.Day 2, and having spent 1 night in Takaka we are driving back down to Nelson via Kaiteriteri and Motueka and various stops along the way.We had just arrived in Kaiteriteri, a place I have visited a few times but all before I discovered geocaching. This was our first stop and a relatively easy to find. Our only slight challenge was the campervan parked right by the final location, but we took it easy and made the find. All is fine here, thank you for setting this one up.
Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day two of this trip took us from the labyrinth rocks of Tākaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
Most of our finds here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.
---
Thanks to Isis58 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

(# 8157) On a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Day two of this trip took us from Takaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Another day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. We got the required information then onto the final. Signed the log with NMTY.
Thanks Isis58 for bringing me here.

As Mrs Jag50 has said.....easy multi here...interesting background facts...
thank you Isis58.
It was not far away to the final, but after a bit of rustling around the cache was located and signed!

Day 5 with Supernannny and Net61 in Nelson exploring this part of the country. A detour from doing the adventure lab, to complete this multi. A nice quick multi and a short stroll to the final where the cache was soon discovered. Tftc
Great view of of the beach and sea. Log sheet full, so we replaced it and will give the original to the CO.
Day 2 of “The Wellingtonians are back” tour with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo. After the last trip, with more caches for us to find, we decided we had to return. And, of course, there will be days of laughter, usually at my expense
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Isis58.

Nice old structure and history however the find was a tad more challenging as the natural camo has taken overthanks for the multi isis58
We were filling in time before checking into our accommodation. A nice diversion for us. Logbook is overfull. Thanks for bringing us here isis58
Found while walking the coast path, maths soon done and a short walk later the cache was in hand. TFTC.
rahmschnitzel2704 and I could find this cache during our roadtrip through this beautiful country.
Thank you very much for hiding and maintaining this cache!
Thank you very much for hiding and maintaining this cache!
During our roadtrip in New Zealand, we also found this cache. Thanks for hiding!
Found in January after spending a great day at Little Kaiteriteri, we walked up the stairs from there and along the walkway, nice views.
On the other side we had Fish & Chips, ice-cream and I escaped quickly while waiting for the food to see if I can finally find this one. Saying finally because I had the coordinates for a while and had been looking already a couple of times. But always gave up due to people being around or just not finding it. Even today it took me too long. Previous logs helped looking for the right "feature" but it was almost hidden under all the bushes, so took a bit.
Otherwise all good with the cache.
Thanks Isis58

This is my fourth geocaching excursion to **beautiful New Zealand**!
Due to Covid [xx(] I had to wait for 3 long years to again return to my beloved Middle-Earth [xx(].
This time its a road trip enduring for 26 days, covering both North- and South-Island.
Today the program was a tour from Nelson to Kaiteriteri - a beautiful route !
This geo-treasure contributed to the finds of today. Cool! [^]
It was not quite easy to get hold of it - but finally I made it ...
A big thanks to the owner Isis58 [:X] for hiding and maintaining this cache [^] - and best regards from Germany !

Went for a bit of a stroll to pick this one up while the rest of the team were having a swim. No problems with the multi or find, TFTC!
On the way to the Abel NP we stopped here for one night and have a look for several Caches, like this one.

We are staying in Nelson for Labour Weekend but today is set aside to head up to Kaiteriteri, as we havent been there since 2015 we had a full day planned. Time for lunch and what better place than here. We had a quick bite to eat at the start coordinates before working out the multi and grabbing the Adlab here then worked out that the final was very close to where we had parked. The feature at GZ has been knocked over but the cache is allgood. Thanks for placing this cache and adding to our smilies.
Initially retrieving info while looking for a place to park for the traditional at breaker bay, soon had final co ords in hand. However Mr and Mrs differed on the final resting place! After scrabbling around we checked D&T, then other logs and realised we needed to look elsewhere. The appropriate item was soon located and cache found.
A nice wee fountain, and we soon had some coordinates, coincidentally very close to where we had parked our car. TFTC
There were lots of people around, but not near Stage 1 or Stage 2. It looks like the item that was hiding the cache got the worst of things in a fight with a car. TFTC.
Found with Kiwimykl and grandson KiwiNate2020. Kiwimykl and I attempted this on a previous holiday back at Anzac weekend, but there were too many muggles around that weekend and we didn't want to compromise the cache so we bypassed it. This weekend is Marlborough Anniversary weekend and we have booked a family holiday in Kaiteriteri so we have another chance to go for this one. By sheer coincidence, we came across the CO when we stopped in Nelson on the way here and she kindly gave us a hint. Kiwimykl figured out where the cache was from the hint, but as the local Waka Ama team was packing up their gear after an evening practice, he decided to do the cache again properly from scratch. For some reason he didn't save the coordinates from our last visit. The Waka Ama team were still faffing around when the coordinates were sorted so we took a run past the cache and confirmed it was where KM thought it would be. We then sat down on a nearby seat until the Waka Ama team vacated the area. It turned out that the coachs car was the one closest to GZ and he was last to leave.
Once he had gone it was a QEF. In retrospect we probably should have left it until Monday when we could have claimed it as an ascent for the next 'Reach the Peak challenge.
TFTC Isis58
P.S. We didn't find time to get the other cache in Motueka that we discussed. Something to save for a future visit.

A group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98, gorby, FMZ and boney bruce) are on a bit of an adventure in the South Island
Time is precious, so many caches are sadly being left for another day! but.... this one seemed a little different, so here we are information gathered, pictures taken, and once on the right level, after being on the wrong level, the cache was soon found and being signed.
Thanks Isis58 for the multi and for bringing us here

We flew down from Auckland to Nelson for another session upon the PWGT caches and other caches that appeal. This is our last trip for the series and will complete it in the 4 days we have allowed ourselves. On this trip there is myself, rustynz, FMZ, Rebel98 and Bony-Bruce (FMZ’s mascot) starting in Nelson and heading north as far as Abel Tasman and then way south of Fox Glacier. 1500km of driving in our trusty rental.
Pulled into here for the virtual cache, but didn't know about the multi here as well. Rusty had presolved it before the trip, all I needed to do was look at the info, get a foto, and solved it proper when I got home. Great info here Isis58, thanks for bringing us here.

Quick solve and retrieval.
Net many people around on this glorious late autumn day.
Net many people around on this glorious late autumn day.
A little tricky to find initially, but then found the right spot, down low in car park after no luck up high on road above. I got a few strange looks from some muggles close to cache spot.
Worked out the final coordinates on 22 April 2021, the first day of our Kaiteriteri holiday, but despite trying one or two times per day since, the area around GZ was muggle central and a search could not be made surreptitiously, so decided to pass rather than compromise the cache.
TFTC - would have been a quick find if a muggle in the car park didn’t chew our ears off about his life story.
#1476. Day 4 of a 9 day caching holiday in the Tasman region with GB Leader. After travelling from Picton to Nelson, we arrived in Kaiteriteri yesterday. Walked from our Little Kaiteri accommodation for an early morning caching expedition. This was the third find of the day, not counting the AL waypoints. Walked past both the fountain & hiding place before backtracking. My mind must have been elsewhere! Interesting history. Love this place.
Got the data, and sat at a table to work out the co-ordinates and then a relatively easy find. Tftc Isis58.

Morning walk to GZ to calculate the final. Luckily the car park was pretty empty as I felt a bit dodgy searching around the cars. I initially couldn’t find the cache but I did find a penguin burrow! Then I had an ‘aha’ moment and soon had the cache in hand, TFTC!
We were not going to do this cache, but we were here anyway, doing the virtual at the top of the hill (because we were here doing the adventure lab), when I realised that today is a multi-cache dot-day. Not that I can get my multi-dot-days cleared out in a year - no hope, but I might as well work it if I can. So we got some answers and hunted for the final. This should have been easy as the dragon has already found this cache, but that was a long time ago and her memory is rusty. So we stomped around in the bushes for ages, till I had an idea and looked somewhere else. And of course, all this was so much harder with all the cars parked right on GZ, squeezing in between them to find an entry into the trees. In the end I found the cache - less than half a metre from a towball!
It's Wellington Anniversary so what better thing to do to celebrate than to... leave! I hopped on a plane and headed over to Nelson and met up with Taybeedragon for a couple of days of adventure labbing in Nelson then to Blenheim on Monday for some cache maintenance and to pick up a huge swag of ammo cans (it's not what you know, it's who you work for!)

Solved a few days ago but had difficulty grabbing the cache due to hoards of holiday-makers this long weekend! Great to see the fountain and anchor all beautifully cleaned up ready for summer - this bit of history deserves it. TFTC.
A nice quick find thanks. Took a photo and get the coordinates in the dry car, then a quick wander to GZ between showers.
Found on a showery day around Motueka. We stayed mostly dry, but the coats certainly got a bit wet!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Easy multi but I misread the clue and was looking behind the fountain instead of taking notice of the new coordinates. But we got there in the end. Thanks for the cache.
Great multi, struggled at final by looking in places level with the top of the fountain. Cache all good, thanks
It's been a busy day and I didn't get a chance to get all of the caches on my list but I did want to get this as my last cache of the day as we were passing through Kaiteriteri. What intrigued me was of all the years I've been coming here that I never noticed this fountain. Even tonight it seems hidden away which is a shame. A nice piece of local history. Thanks Isis58, a quick find and the cache is in good condition.
After searching at the wrong place first it took reading the hint to finally finding this one. Thanks for the cache
While Mr 3Prettys made breakfast spacenarwhale and I struck out to find the fountain. It certainly is well hidden! We quickly had the co-ordinates and set off to find the cache. Luckily I had already thought, as we walked by, 'that would be a good spot for a hide', so we were signing the log in no time. The first few boats were getting underway so there weren't too many muggles about and none of them paid us any attention.
Thank you for bringing us here, the fountain was a delightful surprise.

Wow this beach is buzzing today. Its such a beautiful day so heaps of muggles but mostly busy with their own activities. Grabbed the info from the fountain then back to quickly grab this one to tag it over there. Now safely returned. Cheers.
Its Labour Weekend so Zara, Toby and I are off to explore Tasman for a few days. Its Sunday, Zara is resting up in Motueka, while Toby and I are heading back to Kaiteriteri to explore some more.

Still cruising home and we remembered we had solved this one at home so we stopped at GZ and while everyone was looking out to see i did a quick retrieve. A quick sign of and this takes us to 3 types of caches again today TFTC
Stretch0 had solved the multi at home with his photos taken on a busier day - so we remembered we had it to grab as we went past today - only one group of people around but the where looking at their boat and the water - just as well as a grown man lying by the dinghy might have looked a little funny (or a lot ) whilst I played lookout anyway result was a log for us to sign - cache returned to its spot and we headed home for a much desereved coffee thanks for the cache
Came to Kaiteriteri to stay thr night, ready for the boat/walking tour tomorrow. Stunned by the golden glow of this "fantasy world" type beach. Before going out whilst the sun was setting, we had a locally made cider (within a few km of here) with a nice pizza at Beached Whale to give us the energy for this evening's caches.
Cache was indeed obstruted by a rowing boat once again. TFTC.

My third visit here. The first at night last May when I stuffed the last digit of one of the coordinates and would have ended up a hill in someone’s backyard had I trusted those numbers.
The last August I saw my error and failed to find. Set off today having exchanged messages with the CO who kindly told me what I could have read in their latest log.
A brief contortion session later and I retrieved the cache. Just. Replaced it as carefully as I could so I hope it stays put.
Future finders should bring a long pair of arms.

Out on a maintenance run today. No surprise that this one is still where it was placed however a boat has damaged it's marker so it is a little harder to retrieve than it was.
I am due for a maintenance run on my caches so will check this then. However I don't understand Hannimooner's log as the cache has been found 39 times since 2016, the last time within the past 3 weeks.
No luck for us here - Container should be controlled, last found was in 2016 ...
Today we had a day off and visited the beach of Kaiteriteri. We had some problems to find the right point for the virtual but finally the view was worth it. After another trading also with a great view to another beach we failed with the multi - again a multi. We continued our trip to Marahau and found a nice café at the entrance to the Abel Tasman Nationalpark. On our way back to Motueka we stopped for the letterbox cache and had an exciting tour in the jungle.

Dad and I are on a road trip to Nelson to see his aunt Shirley in Nelson. We are traveling up the east coast there and down the west coast back. After staying the another night in Nelson it was time for a geocaching trip with my muggle great Aunt and my Dad who caches to humour his daughter.
I had to move someone's rowboat to get to this one. They had plonked it ontop of the hiding place.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.

Abel Tasman NP today! This morning we went to Kaiteriteri for a boat trip all the way north to Totaranui. In the afternoon little walk to some viewpoints with some caches, also a virtual. Also visited the Split Apple, answers to be sent! Favo for the earthcache, the highlight landmark here! Late afternoon we still had a nice walk on the coastal track with some more caches, but also some dnf's. High muggles area here... kids still played in the sea for a while. Now back to Mapua for our first family New Year's Eve dinner ever!!!

Out this way with visiting muggle friends. Heaps of young people near here and had watched a practice by some of them of a maori powhiri on the beach. I solved multi and while I found the final and my friends had been talking to one of the instructors who had suggested the students could performing a powhiri for us. They were students at the whenua iti trades academy (I think) and this was part of the culture training. Very interesting and even got to to hongi with several students! TFTC
I had an opportunity to go to the South Island and take a week off work and do some caching while Mrs Yeetrees had to go to the ANZEG Conference 2018 which was being held in Nelson.
Day 5.Nelson / Kaiteriteri. This was the third day of 4 that Mrs Yeetrees had to attend classes and lectures at the ANZEG Conference 2018, while she was doing this it was my aim to go around the CBD and nearby and see if I could pick up a few of the harder caches around the area. This included a few different types of caches rather than just hitting traditional drive by caches.
After finding GC7BA07 - Kaiteriteri Beach, we decided that it was time to come back down off the lookout and start making our way back to Nelson, as we were coming down the hill, so we decided that since we were in the area we might as well give this cache a go as well.
After answering all the questions,we were happy with the numbers that we got and soon realised where GZ was, making my way to GZ and reading the hint, it took a bit longer than it should have after Infoferret missed it on the first pass but found it on a second attempt as it was obvious that this was the only place the cache could be.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back as found. Thanks Isis58 for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13627). A very nice hiding spot for a cache.
Now to start making our way back to Nelson, but we still had one more cache that we wanted to find today.

18 July 2018 17:17. On the way back from the virtual, we noticed this one. Quickly solved, and located after a couple of minutes, I hadn't searched properly - oops! Signed the replacement logbook and on the way back to the bright lights of Nelson. Tftc
After a rainy day yesterday and cloudy morning today, a sunny afternoon called us to the beach. With nobody around, we parked right beside GZ and had a good look at the fountain and accompanying plaque. Once answers were sorted, a stroll to new GZ soon had cache in hand. Signed and replaced, then headed out of the shade back to the sun. tftc
Tregearp and I were in the area today for another cache and couldn't resist stopping and completing this one on the way through.
Great time of year to do it - only one person nearby and he was totally focussed on loading his kayak on to his trailer. I suspect that over summer this one could be difficult.
Thanks Isis58 for the motivation to stop and enjoy a bit of time on the foreshore.
