Maintaining this one has become a burden. Opening up the area for others to hide
After a few others making a recent finds of this one, I decided to come back to turn this one into a smiley face for myself. I got it right this time.
Got to Gz, then saw previous 3 DNF logs, so decided not worth looking. As we walked away, I looked down and spotted the container lying on the ground with no lid. Log appears intact, so I suspect this has been dislodged by floods, but subsequently muggled(?). Geodaughter then spotted the lid! So we have replaced the cache, hopefully close enough to it’s original location. TFTC
I found it which was lucky but I couldn’t find any money we accidentally broke the branch because I didn’t know what we were doing ( 1st ! Geocatch ! ) we didn’t find anything but at-least we tried
The first dangling thing I found freaked me out, and I was hoping this wasn’t a new geocache trend. But alas no, I was saved and found it
A short walk from the nearby event and this little hide was located and the log book signed. TFTC
All found. Nice walk through the park. Grandson didn’t have X-ray eyes like his Pa !!
Having headed up this way to get our name in a couple of challenge logs during signing hours, we saw that there were quite a few varied and interesting caches in the park opposite. Having done a complete reconnaissance of the park, this was the last cache of the day for us to find. The kids headed off to grab a Mr Whippy, so it was the dog and I to find this cache. The caching gods were happy with me today, as my selected entry point brought me face to face with the cache container. The log was signed and we were back to the car. Hope they got me an ice cream too. Thanks Orange Crew. Cheers
Had to be stealthy with the council mowing happening in the same park area, but felt pretty safe once in got into the cache area. TFTC
Pretty busy road at night but found the cache after checking to see if the GPS messed up.
We pulled up near GZ very thankful that we would be hidden from the view of the council gardeners nearby. This was a surprisingly quick find today. The geocaching Gods must’ve been sitting on my shoulder. TFTC
What an apt name for this cache. Many possible hiding options at GZ but The Marble spotted it almost immediately. There were some workers up at the traffic lights but we were hidden from view as we signed the log. Very tempted to go and have a play on the playground afterwards. TFTC Orange Crew
The park was almost deserted today, except for a few gardeners around the place – and plenty of birdlife! We wandered across the very boggy grass towards GZ, where The Marble made an extraordinarily quick find while I was still trying to scrape the deep mud off my shoes. It’s a spectacular morning to be out and about, a bit cool and sunny with the sparkle of water still on the grass. A great way to start the day! I was intrigued by the white pipes angled against the trees by the tourist centre - anyone know what they’re for?

After a dissappointing day doing the witches hat yesterday, we stayed closer to our caravan and did a few around this area. No DNF's today so smiles all round. Off to Grafton tomorrow, not sure when we will be back in the area.

This evening after work, I needed to pick up my Jeep from having a service, and so I continued to drive north to Strathpine. I loosely followed *Pine Rivers War History* Adventure Lab whilst exploring the area. I subsequently went for a run around Pine Rivers Park, and met a few disc golfers along the way, whilst also following *Cook's Tour* Wherigo. A nice little area that I would be happy to return to in the future.
I had not heard of this place whilst previously living in Brisbane, so it was pretty cool to see the playground area and frisbee course mapped around. I made a quick driveby stop here whilst entering the premises, and after walking to GZ, I made a quick find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was full. Thanks Orange Crew for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We have driven past the entrance to this park a number of times over the last couple of years. It has always been on our list to visit as it really does look like a beautiful and large expanse of playground.
Our walk around here did not disappoint today, and although it was overcast there were plenty of families still enjoying this spacious area.
Only 100 m from GZ,the Lennon Bros Circus was in full set up mode, with caravans and tents in place. As a child, I always wanted to be part of a travelling Circus troupe!
With a small search, and making sure we avoided the spiderwebs, we soon had our name added to the log of this one.
Thanks Orange Crew for the lovely walks and enjoyment we had today in this park.

I could have sworn I cleared this park out some time back! But seems like a little green traditional popped back up. And turns out it was a long time bac, considering it's now been in place for four years.
Today there was an event on. The first after months of dark lockdowns! Annoyingly, it's on the other side of Brisbane, and traffic looks shocking. But the ever-trusty Google Maps picked a route through the suburbs which seemed to make good time. And I still enjoy driving my new-ish car.
My route that had me very lost, had me arrive at the event early, so I figured I'd walk the few dozen metres to collect this quick smiley. I actually expected there to be a stream of geocachers to and from it, but it was anything but. Just one geocacher tooted their horn at me as they rolled into the park and past me.
With nobody around, I could duck into the bushes and a 1/8 spin had me looking right at the geocache. I made a quick grab through twigs and webs and had the logbook in hand. Kinda damp, but rite-in-the-rain saves the day! I signed my name, replaced all as found and headed for the event. Arrived bang on time. Thanks for the serve of leafy greens, Orange Crew

Sunday caching on the other side of the river.
Checking out a few of the caches in this park, deep in OC territory it seems.
Thank you OC for this cache

After a long and busy day in the garden I remembered i needed a cache today, along with mower fuel and chocolate. With fuel and chocolate on board, i popped in to this lovely park to find a leafy green cache.
Approaching gz, the local plovers weren't happy to see me, thankfully their nest wasn't where I wanted to go.
I spotted the cache immediately and soon had the log in hand. Cache was replaced as found, time to head home and put the mower fuel to good use.
Thanks Orange Crew for placing the cache here, I enjoyed the change of scenery.

Today I targeted the range of caches scattered around the Pine Rivers Park. There was lots of loud thunder in the air today which made for quick cache finding. TFTC

Found with deaftiger and deafsanta - next time I need to remember to bring my own!
Always come to this playground with the kids they love it. Finally had a minute to dip away to nab it TFTC
Quickly slipped into the bushes and signed it. Luckily no snakes around. Thanks for showing us this lovely park. This place looks like a great place for a picnic. Tftc!
Nope, searched in the leafy bushes but only found a pink ribbon tied to a branch. Figured it cant be that right?
I FINALLY GOT YOU! I swear this little thing is Houdini, every time I have looked for it in the past, even with both kids, it has magically disappeared. I ended up getting pretty good at ignoring this dot on my map, but as the smileys grew around it - it made it shine like a laughing beacon. Well today as I was travelling from one side to the other and with mum in the car I figured it was time to get the monkey off my back.
It must have felt my determination coming and while at first it played its little disappearing game and my irritation and exasperation levels increased it shyly exposed itself. Deciding to just hang there casually in the open like it had been there all along. Mocking me! Well, hide no more! I GOT YOU!!!!
