Dear CO,I'm in Albury for the weekend with my GC Adventure friends, DarksideDan and QueenK8, enjoying a fun-filled geocaching trip. Its been a fantastic opportunity to explore the area, find hidden treasures, and share some laughs along the way.We found this cache and signed the log as DQK10. It was great to see how well-maintained it is, so thank you for putting in the effort to keep it in good condition. The hide was cleverly placed, and we appreciated the thought you put into it.About this Cache:We found this one at night! Left as found. Coordinates Accuracy: The cache was close to where our GPS pointed us.Cache Condition: The container and logbook were in great conditionalways a joy to see. Thanks for giving us another memorable adventure to add to our trip. Well be on the lookout for more caches as we continue exploring.More adventures ahead!Kind regards,C10Appel
I'm in Albury for the weekend, geocaching with DARKSIDEDAN and C10A.This is one of the caches that we found. After a full day of caching all around the region, we rested for dinner time then headed out again. We had a pleasant walk in the nighttime - it was still 30 degrees at ten o'clock at night! Thanks for the cache, Wright_Stuff
Last visit to Albury we did some of this trail. Back for another week and picking up some.signed RBKA
A nice walk along the trail collecting caches along the way. Spotted after a quick search, thanks for the cache.
Quick find at GZ. Its such a shame someone has vandalised the plaques nearby about the Afghan and Iraq conflicts. SMH!TFTC
Our last day in the Albury/Wodonga today , so we are having a final outing to collect a few unfound caches and do some labs before we head off tomorrowThanks for adding to our enjoyment of visiting the area.TFTC
When youre racing through the back locks and need a call of nature, theres really nothing better than a Bunnings sign - drop in, do your thing, mumble to a staff member about needing some at pipe or similar, and then park out the back to find the next cache in the power trail. TFTC.
I was on my way home to Melbourne after spending a few days in the Snowy high country with the MX-5 Club... and took the opportunity to stop off in the Wodonga area to find the caches I needed to help me qualify for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**.After making a few finds in Wodonga itself, I moved east and joined the *High Country Rail Trail* itself to continue increasing mu "Smile" count. For this... and a couple of other caches... I parked on Chapple Street and walk the well maintained trail. This cache was a nice quick find. Thanks **OZREG** for putting this cache here.
Albury TripTime for an Aussie road trip with Joolay, albida33 and FurfacesLL plus others from the Canberra puzzling team. Thanks for the hide
We joined in on the Canberra Albury Invasion or CAI fun this long weekend. After lots of puzzle solving and planning the time had come for a four day weekend of geocache hunting and hiking in and around the Albury/Wodonga area. We could not have picked a better weekend, we had great weather and avenged a couple of DNF's for us. Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches in this area, and for giving us a reason to come down the highway and visit this lovely area. Thanks for the hide and trail Wright_Stuff
Albury Invasion trip Day 3. After planning and months of puzzle solving it is finally time to head to Albury Wodonga for a long weekend visit. I was with Kitty Katch, FufacesLL and Joolay for this trip, but I also spent time with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n due to space in cars. Logs for the weekend were signed CIA23 to save space. We started the day with a walk around the Riverside trail for the virtual and thew caches along the way. The second port of call was the new rail trail caches where a large group wandered along the trail visiting the caches, it is great to see this trail re-populated with caches. The second part of the day was small group caching around the area, visiting a few DNFs and other caches we had missed the day before. As before the effort put into the puzzles and all the caches in the area is really appreciated, and with so much more to do, I am sure I will be back before too long. Thanks for the cache Wright_Stuff44940.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 Victoria Bushfire Silver A#131**Albida**
After a pleasant night in sheer luxury, fitzy_1965 and I were up early to take advantage of our free breakfast before joining the rest of the CIA crew for a day of caching before we all went our separate ways.We crossed the river into Victoria to meet at the start of The Crossing Place walk and did the loop before the sun got too hot. The walk itself was quite pleasant and was a good test for my hip which has not been the best of late. We targeted of the OZ trail and whatever else we came across. The logs were primarily signed as CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury) unless otherwise stated.
Day 3 of our Albury trip. Apologising up front for the generic logs. Cannot complain about the quality and quantity here, it was a great mixture. Some are very challenging hides and some even defeated us and some of those puzzles, just glad it was more than me working on them. Looking forward to coming back. Its a perfect weekend to get out of town. Decided Albury was the place to go. Lots of lovely puzzles that we have spent time as a group working through now its time to venture down and pick up.Signing as CIA-Canberra Invasion of Albury. And apologies for generic logs. Thanks for getting me out and about Wright_Stuff
33,867. Found with Team CIA23 - Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023.Our caching group has been eyeing off the Albury/Wodonga area for quite some time. After many months of hard work we had solved nearly all the area's puzzles, so we set a date and headed on down. CIA23 comprised of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, FurfacesLL, Tankengine, dty73, Sol de lune, LuckyL10n, albida33, Aykayem, smittengranny and myself. For part of one day we were joined by local Cacher Happy Feet 1. What a great weekend of caching with such a fun group of people. An event on the Saturday night also helped make the trip memorable. This was now (my) Day 2 of the trip. Quick find once at GZ. Signed the log as CIA23, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Thanks Wright_Stuff !!
#18971; Day 3 of the Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023 weekend. Our merry band again comprised Sol de lune, albida33, Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, Barb2e, isopeda, dty73, tankengine, aykayem, minniek and fitzy_65 for another day of action today. Started the day with a wander along a part of the Crossing Place Trail, where we managed to locate and log 12 caches. It was then time to cross the border to tackle a larger section of the "OZ" trail, logs were again signed CIA23. Eighteen finds and one DNF for me along this part of the trail. Thanks to all of the cache owners for helping make a great weekend for our Canberra caching fraternity and apologies for the generic logs. TFTC OZREG
Day 3 of the Canberra invasion weekend of Albury. Being ex an Canberran, I headed up to join in the fun of the weekend with LuckyL10n, Albida33, fitzy_1965, minniek, tankengine, dty73, Joolay, KittyKatch, Smittengranny, Isopeda, Barbe2e and FFLL.This morning we started with the loop walk around The Crossing point and then heading out to grab a few along the OZ trail. All caches were found without any issue and logs were signed CIA 23, for Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023.Thanks to all the CO's for the caches...
Day 3 of our Canberra (+3) Invasion of Albury. Starting time and place had been discussed and agreed upon at Kittykatch's Event last night. There was to be a variety of cache types, D/T's and attributes covered to hopefully provide something of interest for everyone participating. All mystery caches had already been solved as a group effort on various zoom sessions before we left home. The day was sunny and hot, but everyone rose to the challenge, and all these caches were found and signed CIA. Thanks to all the COs who placed and maintained these caches. They certainly encourage me to get out and travel.
Rutherglen Mega Road Trip
Day Four: Around Albury and Rutherglen again
Weather: At last, it doesn’t look like it could rain at any second.
I’ve heard something about a challenge for 10 finds in every LGA in Victoria. I haven’t verified this, but it sounds feasible. So with Indigo well under control and Towong stitched up yesterday, the gaze turns to Wodonga. This was one of eight caches found on the High Country Rail Trail done with two car hops. I would have loved to have done more.
Thanks for the cache OZREG. The hardware looms large here.
It’s officially a mega!

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache OZREG

*Found on the 15 Jan 2023 @ 11:38 am.*
*Cache find # 14025.*
I headed out on a road trip to concentrate on 3 particular LGA’s finding enough caches in each so that I will finally qualify for a particular challenge cache.
I was passing by this one so I stopped, it was long before the cache was found but the log was just mush.
**Thanks to Wright_Stuff for placing this cache.**

Thanks for the cache! The log is too wet to be signed unfortunately! Also spotted a blue tongue lizard in the area
Found while out with Shaneo58 on the way down to Albury, Nice easy find thanks for the hint.
**Thanks For The Cache** OZREG.
This makes the 1st cache of 6 for today making a grand total of 3813 at 10:00AM on this Thursday the 10th of November in the Year 2022

Claim my adopted out cache as a find so as to not have unnecessary green icons throughout Wodonga on the map. Good Luck and enjoy "N & M"
Good time on the prowl with JTreeTrack2! Accidentally left in my drafts for a few months!
Another fantastic day with beautiful weather for caching. The muggle nephew has chosen to be a muggle no more, so Simplylookin was heading out looking for caches with us today.
A day of cycling was planned, and hopefully, a good collection of caches to be found.
Rail Trails make for awesome caching; you can walk or cycle along and don't need to worry so much about traffic.
We had a quick find here of a cache in sodden condition. The log was basically papier mache. We added some new log strips.
Thank you for this Traditional cache, OZREG.

Nice hide. Good use of the hardware. Found the log was a bit wet so not really able to sign it. I tried drying it out a bit. But seeing as it was dark and below 10 deg C. It's not much dryer.
While tipping out the water I dropped the lid. Took several minutes of looking. Somehow it fell in the hole. Lucky I had a bright torch to search with. Thanks for the fun.

Quick find with 242crew but log was soaking wet so didn't sign. Still a great day for a walk. TFTC.
Found it couldn't write in the log it was to wet turned up side down hopefully the water will dry out
Was out picking up caches along this trail on my bike today. Quick find here! Tftc!
Charlicorn1500 and I headed to the Wangaratta Mega on short notice, having been unwilling to commit until the last minute due to the vagaries of COVID etc. This is my 7th Mega but Charlicorn's first. Despite the circumstances it was a great event with a lot of fun gadget caches and plenty of opportunities to meet up and adventure with fellow cachers. Highlights included finding 14 types in a day (15 if you count the Mega, which we do) on the Saturday, the GPS Maze Exhibit and a great night cache with a band of buddies we bumped into while doing gadget caches. Beautiful weather, very hot for us, but a great place to explore and we're both looking forward to the next Mega.
Another quick find on the way back from the Mega with Charlicorn1500. TFTC!

Day two of my caching trip to Wangaratta. Made it to Albury last night and found a beautiful camping spot at the river. Today's goal is getting to Wangaratta, but not before exploring Albury and surrounding. Great area for some holidaying!

Out today for a spot of riding on my bike. A 4 hour round trip including caching. I would have been out for longer if I didn't have to return and get to a caching event at the Kinross this afternoon. Beautiful winter weather for a long ride and the best thing about winter is no snakes!
TFTC easy spot for a newbie!

We often travel down this way, but usually are on a tight timeline to get where we are going.
This time we needed to travel to the area for a family occasion so it was a great opportunity to catch up with many of our relatives but sneak in some caching in between. We will hopefully be back soon to do some more extensive work on the rail trails as they look quite appealing. Our short trips out in the Hume Weir area were quite picturesque.
We must get back and look for the rest of the caches on this trail. A great place for bikes, but this wasn't possible this time so we walked.

After finishing my day at the big green shed nearby, I decided to get out and stretch my legs before driving back down to Melbourne.
A quick check on c:geo showed this cache a mere 75 metres away.
I cut down from above along a well worn trail and was soon at a deserted GZ.
The cache was a nice quick find and I wandered down to the signboards to sign the nice new log.
A pair of cyclists passed by but completely ignored me as I stood reading the signs.
As I added my name to the log sheet I noticed movement near my feet.
***YIKES!!!***
I was standing in the middle of an ants nest and they were not at all impressed.
Fortunately none of them managed to bite me.
With the coast still clear I replaced the cache in it's sneaky hiding spot.
Thanks for placing the cache OZREG and also to TeamOZCAT for keeping it going.

Found with Sebass and AKM... Signed as Kayak Cachers! We did have a much larger group, but they all bombed out with punctures! Those 3 corner jacks are everywhere! - I think the council needs to pick them up! I also received a puncture, but managed to repair it, and ride back to the start, collecting at least some of these. Thanks for the cache it was a nice ride while it lasted!
Went out and got this sneaky hide after being muggled out of another one. Favourite point from me.
Got this one a few months ago, not sure how i didnt remember to log the days caches, sorry
Another clever spot. Good clue. Just had to wait for cyclists to leave the area so I could grab and sign the log. Headed down the trail for more.
Decided to do a few of OZREGs caches along the rail trail today on my bike which I haven't used in ages. After the chain giving me a few issues ( having taken ages to fix) this was my first stop. Very clever hide. TFTC
Out and about caching in the Albury area and decided to target a few more of the easy to access caches in this series. They were all relatively easy finds with good coordinates. Thank you for all the work that's gone into the hides. Hope to come back in better health and finish them at some point
Loved the container for this cache. Looks like Ozreg is handy with his hands. Awarded a favorite as well
Thanks for encouraging a wander (or cycle) along the rail trail here.
Track looks fantastic for its recent upgrade. Enjoyed nearby info signs too.
Also love a carefully crafted hide - and OZREG offers many of them. This one's another ripper. No hardware visit for me. Sorry for late log!
