Reperio 14:42Today I had the day off, so decided to spend it along the TRLT series from Hazelgrove through Edith and Gingkin to Mount David. High winds throughout the day made things a bit tricky with signing logs and keeping zip lock bags from flying away, but almost all caches were found in good health, with only a few DNFs, and a few that need maintenance. As I was working from an offline list, I ended up revisiting a few caches I had previously logged due to the list not being updated. All in all it was a great day out.Gratias Team WebguyAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Another find with dad and youngest your daughter and a lovely photo to remember off the big wombat hole. TNLN TFTC
Travelling to and from Bathurst for Uni, I stopped and nabbed random caches along the way. All were in good condition and easily located. TFTC!
Headed out for a girls weekend away caching with Cosmonaut97.
We left Goulburn early and hit our target of TRLT caches we had to leave when last in the area.
All caches found quickly and in good condition unless otherwise stated.
Thank you to all CO's who have contributed to TRLT caches.

Final day and time to head home.
With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild. Our intention was to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area.
We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure. Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide Team Webguy and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.
Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for their efforts.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide Team Webguy And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Nice quick find in the fading sunlight. Thanks for helping make a fantastic trail in beautiful countryside. TFTC.
In light of the current travel restrictions and the requests by regional councils to stay away, I am disabling all my caches until the COVID-19 situation has passed and things return back to normal. Please respect this and do not go looking for these caches.
Found with sjg66 on a three day TRLT and "History of" blitz. 220 caches over 1100kms. Lots of great scenery, but also lots of dust as it is all so dry out here at the moment. Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining these caches.
O319 and I have headed off for 3 days of caching. Mainly targeting TRLT and "history of" caches.
This was our fifth day of following this super long geocaching trail. Once again the weather was perfect and the route took us along yet more interesting and scenic roads. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache (would have loved to have seen the Wombat!) and greetings from Zimbabwe
Fresh digging and fresh wombat poo !! [:o]

As per the hint, it was easy. Wombat stayed inside, while I took a run on TRLT series today. Only a small section, but its a start.

A beautiful day to go caching with it being neither too hot or too cold. We had a little drizzle as can be expected in the Blue Mountains. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. We loved the scenery and findng the caches in this series. We saw lots of black cockatoos today and one black snake who was blissfully unaware of us as it was soaking up the sun. We are based at Lake Wallace near Lithgow for a few days and check out this area. It has been several years since we last visited. Thanks to Team Webguy for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Day 4 of our xmas caching blitz. Thank you to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment. Nice quick find after our poor showing on the previous one. Tftc.
A quick and easy drive by while we were in the area. See GC6MKZQ TRLT - No Ducks Here for our master log for this series. We met 2 blue tongue lizards basking on the road only a few metres apart on our way to this cache. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Yep. One lives there. All quiet right now.
Today I’m driving from Goulburn to Sydney via Bathurst, and my plan was to see a bit of countryside and the local wildlife. It certainly is raining cats and dogs, so I’m covered there. I was hoping I wouldn’t be tracking so much countryside back into the car after each find!

Another section of The Road Less Travelled was on the program today. While on route we have seen pine forests in various stages, from young pines through to mature trees and some harvested areas. There have also been sheep grazing and cattle grazing areas as well as eucalypt covered areas. We had a good run with the cache finding and the biggest problem was those caches where blackberries were rampant. We also managed to find some tracks that may mot have been on the route taken by the CO when setting some caches. Thank you to Team Webguy for contributing to this TRLT series by placing this cache. Our apologies for the generic log.
Rang the door bell but there was no answer so I just signed the log and left.

Hi there Team Webguy.
We found your cache **"TRLT - Wombat In Residence"** today. (This makes our find count 17802).
Today we headed out from Oberon so we could attempt some more of the "TRLT" series, plus any others we came across on our travels. We started at "Tatiana's Crown" & from there we proceeded to log caches up to "Back on the Bitumen" before heading back to camp. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but it is really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]
We found 5 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** Most containers and log books were in good shape but some require a little "maintenance".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Abercrombie River area weekend. Day 2. Today was all about the Road Less Traveled series South of Abercrombie River Road. The day went fantastically, I made it through all of the planned caches just before it started raining very heavily. I look forward to more of the series.

With a rare weekend and sunday off (shift worker) and the geofamily not keen on caching in the cold weather i used the opportunity to head north of taralga to finally start tackling the road less travelled series.
With the temperature in the single digits most of the day i managed a heap of finds which were mostly accurate coordinates and enjoyed many photo opportunities along the way. Fantastic winters day well spend. Cant wait to return and chip away at the series more.

Three geocachers (mizmaz, envirogirl86, and myself) embarked on a monumental long weekend to complete as much of TRLT series as we could. (Apologies for the generic log). Awesome series!! TFTC!
3 girls (Mizmaz, StumbleTrip and myself), a car, a gps and a sense of adventure resulted in 198 caches over 3 days. And, of course, we decided to go on our adventure on the coldest weekend in 110 years.
Sorry for the generic log, however most of the caches we found (162/165 in total) were in good condition and were quick, easy finds. Thank you for placing these caches in such a beautiful and interesting area. I hope to get back to finish the northern end (a little more casually) sometime early next year.

Having completed the northern end of TRLT nearly two years ago with the Rats, was now time to tackle the southern end during a three day roadtrip with StumbleTrip and Envirogirl86. Smilies gained on 162/165 (with the other 3 either disabled or several dnf logs before us) plus a number of bonus trads/puzzle finds along the way. Reported as the coldest weekend in 110 years, daylight hours were thankfully quite pleasant the first two days of the trip but today we felt the bitter cold and often experienced drizzle and fog however still managed our best daily tally to complete our agenda. Apologies for generic logs but all were fairly easy finds with mostly good co-ords or obvious camo. Liked the "entrance columns" on either side of the wombat's residence.
Fitzy_1965 and I headed off to target the TRLT series and whatever randoms we could nab on the way An early start and perfect caching weather for our tour lead to a top day's caching with 120+ finds...YEAH!
Apologies for the generic log-We found most of the TRLT series were good sized containers and easy finds within seconds - only a few took a few minutes of searching!

13845. Found during a caching run with Caching Wench #1 along the TRLT series. Awesome day with 118 finds for me...
SpecimenX and I had an early start out from Canberra and arrived at the first cache of the series at about 0930 to start the day off. As with nearly all of the caches this one was a quick find on the nice container because of the good coords and nicely hidden from muggles. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we headed off to the next one.
Our thanks to all the COs of this wonderful series - we will be back to hit another section soon !

The WEEO and I had a great time caching all day and yacking as we went along and loved the countryside as we went. Thanks for the work to help make our 3 day caching spree a great time. The horses were interested in what we were doing. TFTC
Thanks very much for all your efforts in putting this part of the trail together Team Webguy. I am so please to get away with 3-Kings and discovering this great TRLT trail. We went North yesterday and have great expectations for today. Please excuse the serial logs.
Day 2 of my adventure with Mikev1 to tackle part of TRLT series starting from near Meadow Flat and heading south. All up we found 110 and had 2 DNF. Cache in residence here.
Apologies for the generic log, but thanks to all the COs for putting this series together. We enjoyed taking these lesser known roads to places I would never pass through normally. There was a wide variety of scenery, vegetation and wild life throughout the journey. All the hints and coords were pretty much spot on. Great effort!

After a very quick decision I headed off with Brewmaker on the start of a 2 day adventure seeking out The Road Less Travelled series (TRLT) an a few other caches along the drive.
We started half way through the second series and continued on from Meadow Flat then to Tarana, Duckmaloi, Edith, Gingkin, Shooters Hill, Jaunter, Porters Retreat, Black Springs, and Oberon. The roads ranged from tarred to dirt and included part of the historic Cox's Road dating from 1815.
We saw lots of interesting wildlife, farmlands, creatures of various shapes and sizes, and historic items along this tourist trail. Nearly all of the caches were a good size very easy to find - some could be seen before I even got out of the car! A few required a more detailed search but nothing too difficult or strenuous. After a while we could almost guess what the hint was going to be. I still can't get used to the new year - a few of the logs I dated as 2016 - doh.
This was part of Day 2 caching in what would become my largest single day cache haul to date.

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.
Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.
Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.
Our first full day of caching had us weaving our way along the TRLT to a point where we completed the lower section of the series in one day. This half is contrastingly different to the other, but still very spectacular. Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.
The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.
Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

Out for a short while today for a few more caches on the TRLT run. Camped at Black Springs for a few days before we head for Oberon. TFTC quick find
When this tree went down, I bet it would have made one hell of a noise. Unless, f course, there was no one around at the time...
After joining some friends for a bushwalk in Mt Victoria I had planned to come back to the area and set up camp somewhere to complete this series on Sunday. I ended up arriving early with plenty of tone to get started on the power trail again.
Finally back on the main road for a while. But by the time i reached this one it was dark so i had to use my torch to find the cache by.
Thanks for the cache.

On left? Looking from the road that meant to me the far left of the northern most log, no not there. Maybe there? Yes, there it was. I hate left and right directions, give me a good old north, south, east, west direction any day!
#3895- By this time the rain was so heavy that for no other reason than to keep the insides of the caches dry, I had begun abbreviating my name to WW. No wombats here today, but I did meet a vicious looking bull nearby. Thanks Webby
Two days of intense caching with J+J.AU. Main target was the part of the road less travelled, but we ended up picking up a lot more caches. The Saturday was ideal caching weather and we moved pretty quick. still there were a few tricky parts of still wet "roads" we had to manage with the 2WD. Not getting bogged was a accomplishment at the end of the day! Sunday started good as well after a overnight in Bathurst, but soon the rain set in and became worse and worse. we were glad we were able to finish this part of our planning just shortly after lunch! Any wetter and a few of the roads we travelled would have become very trick without 4WD. Great weekend and lots of fun thanks to J.AU anfd thanks to all the cachers that put the caches out there!

I joined up with Wilbert67 to make our dent on the road less travelled series this weekend. Saturday turned out to be the better day weather wise with Sunday slowly becoming wetter as the day went on until the afternoon was just a wash out with heavy rain.
We enjoyed the drive around the beautiful fields freshly dotted with newborn lambs as well as abundant wildlife and views at times that are truly to behold. Most of the hides were easily found with different subtle twists that kept the intrigue going.
Thanks to all the geocachers that have injected the work into the series and making the experience possible. Thanks also to my partner in quest Wilbert for the great company once again.

This time the wombat hole was unmissable, bookended by the fallen trees shown in Webguy's cache notes picture. Unlike that picture, the weather was getting warmer for us, after a fairly cold day on Saturday. But we got real hot with the cache instantly. An easy find. Thanks
Searched for 50 caches today, found 48. Started at Porters Retreat and finished at Burraga. The two I could not find were Bald Hill and Water views both at Burraga. Nobody has found them yet. Great scenery from Porters Retreat to Burraga. Roads were in good condition. A lot of work has gone into the series. Thanks for all the caches.
Bathurst day 2
We travelled many country miles, passing some wonderful scenic locations & along forest trails.
The wattle is blooming & plenty of new born lambs in the paddocks.
The temperature was about 5-7 degrees all day.
We got to recognise the hides of the different cachers.

A fairly miserable day around home so we decided to hit the road to grab a cache or three when we saw that TRLT had extended down south a bit more.
A well set out extension from the original series and well worth the time to spend on these back roads. Even with the overcast and rain, the co-ords were good and the a variety of hides made the finds interesting.
A joint *FTF* with Just a cacher here today.
