What a great cache! My muggle Hubbie found it - ingenious. Great to pick one up on the way out of New Plymouth today. TFTC

16-Jun-21
Thanks for creating this geocache. It took me a while to find it. It was my first time geocaching and I didn't know what I was looking for. Then I came back a few weeks later and found it. Hidden in plain sight! But I didn't have a pen so I've come back today to write in the notebook.

13-Jun-21
We initially went straight to the hide but discounted it as it didn't budge too easily, but after a wider search of the area went back to it and it came away fairly easily from the right angle.
I left an alphabet stone
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

12-Jun-21
Not small and not hidden in plain sight it was annoying

We were heading down to Taranaki to complete the Mt Egmont Pouakai Circuit. Would seem rude not to cache on the way down.

We had decided we wouldn't go to far off the main drive down (Mrs NZTravellers dictated this Smile)

Having arrived and needing some fresh provisions for lunch tomorrow headed to the local shop and WOW there's a cache.

Great hid and found and signed without drawing attention from the local patrons.

Fav point awarded as love these type of hides in plain veiw!!

Crafty cache, but quickly found.

Heading down with some geocaching buddies from Auckland to walk the Pouakai Crossing (Mt Taranaki). Stopped along the way to get some caches. Logs might have been signed "Team Seac". Thanks for placing the cache.

Heading down to Taranaki to walk the Pouakai Crossing, around the part of Mt. Egmont with the SEAC group of cachers.....stopped off here for a bite to eat and grab a few local caches to start the journey.....
Managed to locate without attracting too much attention.

Having arrived at our accommodation decided for a walk around the area and get some supplies....

FAV point given here....

Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space....

Cache was all good.

TFTC.

Well at freaking last, I have found this sneaky mcsneakerson cache!! Have looked for it several times but had no idea what I was looking for. Today after having no luck on a nearby cache, I made my way here armed with a hint from a previous log. I would say cache was relatively easily located but the log not so much, damn that was tricky and required some aerobics to get the log. Pleased to finally get this!?

We quickly spotted something suspicious, but as it was, for us, 8 metres south of the coordinates, and there seemed no access to it, we searched elsewhere. Returning to our original object of interest, we persevered further and eventually had the cache in hand. Our coordinates were S39 03.966 E174 06.158. A fun cache which gets a favourite from us. .I cant remember this one but thought it was great when we finally found it and tagged it. Cheers. So fav from me.

Day 14 - Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December. Around New Plymouth again today then started moving north. .

The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Well, this caused a bit of a problem! I made some wrong assumptions initially, which were terrible places to hide a cache due to overlook from the supermarket carpark, but eventually i got my head on right and the GPS settled down and directed Taybeedragon to a more GZ area. Took ages to find the hide (shows the quality of the workmanship, but i am still embarrased about how long it took).
Gets a favourite despite the millions of ants.

Day fourteen of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is wandering about New Plymouth. It's Boxing Day! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates Sad
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:

* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!

Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

This cache is a short walk from home but whenever I've thought about getting it there have been too many muggles. Today was a dot day and being a Sunday not many muggles about before 7.00 am, so I took an early walk to GZ. Knowing something about the style of this CO I soon spotted something that drew my attention. Soon after that I'd signed the log. Now only 6 days left to fill my cache calendar. Thanks.

Another summer visit to locate the unfound caches in the area and turn them into smilies.
Stopped to stock up on supplies and noticed another potentially challenging cache nearby. ROS went for the find while MAR did the shopping and both missions were completed in the same time. Another well constructed cache TFTC.

Managed to survive the family Christmas and now a chance to head away for a couple of days to New Plymouth with Mrs Dragon so that we can take a turn around the mountain and also make the most of the Pukekura Park Lights Festival.

Twenty First of the trip and located while heading down and around the mountain for a bit of a scenic drive. By now the weather that we had started with was not the same as the weather we had at this point as the skys were now clear and the mountain magnificent.

A fine morning and an allowence for a few caches before breakfast is always a good way to start when out on holiday. Nice quick find while the carpark was empty
Thanks for the placement and the cache

In Taranaki for the weekend and collecting a few caches along the way with tmann421.

Lots of fun had with the variety of caches in the area. TFTC

21-Aug-16
Very clever and worth a fav. it is sitting nonchalantly for all who pass by. TNLN We are up in New Plymouth for Mother in Laws birthday so each day i endeavour to locate at least 1-2 caches and this was the very closest cache. I di briefly look yesterday but not suitable for a good hunt due to too many patrons and muggles in the area so this morning i was down there before 9.30 so there were no muggles and it was easy hunting. Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.

21-Aug-16
Another good find while geocaching in the area with Just-Lookin.

Excellent bold hide here!
We soon had the cache located - want to get a few more finds before we drive back to Wellington.
