Hi there Dutch Frangipani.
This is the 1st of 1 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 3:22:00 PM, but we just couldn't locate your cache. It's either not there, a very clever hide or we are just suffering from "cache blindness", so here's a DNF from us.
Regards
Ian and Penny

ITS CACTUS is CACTUS, as the local coppers say, Move along Nothing to see here, GZ has cactus, but nothing that resembled a cache
Thought I'd have a quick look for this one seeing as I was in the area.
Having done the rest in this series I thought I knew what to look for. While I found a cactus it was not the cache.

Tryed to find this one today with no luck. Had a very good look around and will put it on my watch list.
Found by Team Ninja 24/04/2017, find number 1010.
No cactus's here but there was a cache. This one might need some TLC. Cache is fine but there's nothing attached to the screw.

Perfect weather for caching, we created a list, packed some lunch and set out in a north easterly direction. This is one of the green buttons on our map, which we were able to convert to a smiley face. As others have mentioned in their logs this one is taking on water.
Thanks Dutch Frangipani for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

The theming has fallen off this one, leaving an exposed screw. We looked for it thinking it would be lying about and we would "know it if we saw it" but we didn't find it. The water has therefore entered the container so we need to NM this. Or "needs my-an-tenance " as one of the children said, as they stumbled over the syllables. We had water. After the germs fiasco on Monday I asked my germ-phobic child to bring a bottle - but it had been left on the bench, miles away. So that child decided to have a large drink from a cup now, so there would be "no need" to have a drink and risk germs later. This was stated in such a resolute manner, that I knew it would be pointless to argue.
Yup its cactus ..... water damage - hide does not appear to be as CO intended

A weekend afternoon free to amuse the kids and head out to find a few caches, I even had two somewhat engaged accomplices today. I had found some of the caches in this second series earlier so was glad to have the chance to head back out this way to search for the rest. Found the cache covered up at GZ and were soon adding our names to the log. Thanks for the hide Dutch Frangipani.
This cache was missing last time I was out this way, so it's good to be able to get a smiley now.......but I'm not sure the hide is as intended so will contact the CO.

Werribee Racecourse, Cobbledick Ford Park, and the Exford Trios series down, only the TSS version 2 to go! Rocketing to 9000 finds... I decided to call it a day at 8999, leaving the 9K milestone for another day. I'll have to return to finish off the series another day. Thanks for the cache, and the series sorceysal and dutch frangipani.

After a cache adventure last night, I was out again this morning after the rest of the geo family had plans while I had the morning off before an afternoon shift at work. So the car was packed, GPSr loaded with this area and I was off for another adventure. I was keen to do a few more in the TSS series. This one was found quickly but there was a huge screw out of the top of the container so I guess something has come off. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache for us to find Dutch Frangipani**
**Cache container and log in fine condition**

No trouble locating the cache however I feel something is missing from the lid. It really didn't matter though. Another cache in the series turned into a smiling face.

Road trip caching adventure with Ketchthor. Was aware of the relatively high number of caches in the Bacchus Marsh area so headed North for a few hours of drive by cache dashing. Some of theses caches were very ingenious so much hand clapping to the owners for placing & maintaining
With a free day we headed towards Bacchus Marsh to find many of the roadside caches. Overall, some excellent hides and containers. Many thanks to all the owners for placing and maintaining the caches.
Easy find. I spotted this one. First find of this wonderful series for today. Cache containers are pretty awesome. Thanks Dutch Frangipani for the cache. TNLN

This is an expression that we only picked up in recent years - constantly expanding our vocabulary in English, which is not our first language.
Made sure not to step onto the nearby cacti (actually, they get rather scary when they grow large, though the fruit is rumoured to be delectable).
We assume that the original camo was more of a cactus than the one spike that is now left. No problem finding the cache!

Passing near this area on our way home from visiting a relation in a nursing home at Wyndham Vale this afternoon we decided to do a bit of a detour and find this cache. Great hiding spot that was well planned and implemented. Very appropriate plant growing nearby and we managed not to walk on it!

Found by Mary & David at 1402. On a streak, so picked this cache for our daily contribution. Having looked at the past logs, we now understand why we didn't pick this one up when we were out here last time. A pretty quick find today, although the container looks as though it was designed for different camo to the kind in use now. Our thanks to Dutch Frangipani.
Well this one is not cactus but alive and well and well hidden too.
Found in 38 degree temperature at the end of a long day in Geelong.

I had a busy Boxing Day afternoon and evening caching to the north west of Melbourne. After attending an event in Melton I worked though TSS V2, the Legends series and Fun for Kids as well as other assorted caches along the way. And fortunately I had the cricket (between the showers) on the radio to keep me company along the journey. Having enjoyed the first Saying Series I was really looking forward to these and I wasn't disappointed. This one is no longer quite as originally placed but is still findable. I could see evidence nearby but could do nothing to repair. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache sorceysal and dutch frangipani.

We decided to visit Melton for the Intervening Days event.
Afterwards we headed home via the TSS V2 series and it rained the whole time!
Lucky it was nice warm rain.
Thanks for the cache hides.
This one came up as disabled but we found it immediately at GZ and the Cache was in good condition.

After putting this guy on our watch list sometime ago because we had failed to find it on the night it was released. We were keen to give it another go after Suscoe and Bushfire had found it.
Today after a bit of hiking in the Lerderderg State Park with Neville_devil and Ausfox; we stopped by for another crack. Today it showed itself quickly. The log shows signs that it has been wet but we were easily able to add our names to the list of finders. I am unsure with it should have something connected to the lid or if that is just because "It's Cactus"
Thank you Dutch Frangipani for the cache and the series

Seeing that this cache had been disabled but still being found I thought I'd have a look. Once at GZ I could see where the heavy hoofed cachers have been, which is a common accurance. The log was signed and replaced as found.

#11122. With some pleasant Spring weather having finally arrived Robmc and I decided to have a day trip around the Bacchus Marsh area finding some of the TSS series, visiting a few Legends and gathering up some other caches along the way. It was a perfect day for caching, and I ended up with 41 finds and 3 DNF's.
That's a cactus! Well baby ones certainly. We thought we might be cactus also but Rob soon had the cache to hand. There was some water in the bottom, now emptied but the log was just fine. Names added, re-hidden and off we go.
Thanks Dutch Frangipani

After a warm day yesterday, it looked better for caching today, so BettyBoo3747 and I headed for the Bacchus Marsh area. We tackled the TSS V2 series and Legends series, and a few in between.
This one is a bit cactus - might need a bit of attention. (the tide was in more than a bit - log still dry though)
Very good co-ordinates though.
Thanks, Robmc.

5824 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1045. After finding some of the Big Bad Brad cactus caches in SA this was like. " A knife. That's a knife". We both had a read giggle with this and to think so many DNF's as well. SL and left some Red Centre Experience trackable cards here as well. Tnx Dutch Frangipani
The good news is that the cache is there, it is well hidden.
Found this afternoon by Bushfire and Suscoe.

JOINT FIRST TO FIND SUSCOE AND BUSHFIRE
Suscoe was out caching today with our very good friend Bushfire.
We decided to have a look at this cache even though it was disabled, on the off chance.........
Well we arrived at GZ and started to look and then we saw something that seemed odd, and sure enough it was attached to a cache container and very soon we had the lid off and we were greeted by a clean log book, however the log book was completely sodden.
So we set about drying this container out and we replaced the log book and popped it in a zip lock bag.
Well this was certainly a major surprise for us and we did a happy dance for a while.
Perhap the cache owner will need to do a maintenance check here to replace what ever it was that was attached to the container.
Much appreciated and thank you to Dutch Frangipani for creating this series and this cache.
A favourite for the FTF and the series.

JOINT {FTF} WITH SUSCOE
On the off chance we decided to check this guy out that had been placed way back in June this year and published 21/09/16 so for four weeks this guy has been waiting for somebody to come along and grab a FTF!!!!
A little bit of TLC will be needed but with a little help from us it will be fine for a while with a new log book in a sealed bag.
An unexpected find for us today that made us very happy.
Thanks again Dutch Frangipani for the idea and for placing this cache.
Even though it is disabled we had a look anyway. No cache to be seen but sadly plenty of evidence of careless searching. Even the cactus has been trampled. Thanks for the cache.
I'm temporarily disabling this cache as it looks like it's been muggled already. I'll take a look and get it going again.
Hadn't read the previous logs so stopped to look for this cache and I too was disappointed with the damage that has been done at GZ.....assuming the cache has been muggled so didn't look too hard
Came back today armed with the GPSr which led me to the same spot as the phone. Had a quick search as the farmer was running his horse around the track. Unfortunately same result as yesterday. This D1 is proving to be a D5.
I'm getting close to my first big milestone, and since I'm off to do a geotour this weekend, I had to find a few more caches to allow me to have a memorable one for the BIG one, otherwise it'd be one along the geotour. This second version of this series is awesome! I completed the first one a while back and this is just as good. So much thought and effort into the cache notes and hides.
Thought we'd have a little look for this one as it was along the way this morning, but seeing it hadn't been found after a few looks we concentrated on a wide area around the general indicated GZ, as there are so many possible hiding spots. It does look a bit decimated around the tree, and the geokids had to actually point out where the cacti were (which had in fact been pulled out) - I have cache blindness and now cacti blindness. We spent a while increasing our circles of investigation to no avail.
On the way home another car pulled up here as we were passing and thought surely it was a cacher, but they stayed for a minute then left. Not sure if they thought we were muggles or if they were muggles haha.
Thanks anyway - good luck to the FTF hunters

Stopped by again today to see if some daylight made any difference to last nights DNF. I didn't stay long though just a quick search. It didn't make any difference either still a DNF for us.
I was however somewhat disappointed to see that there has been others here that have been rather brutal in their searching. I saw cacti have been up rooted branches snapped and bark rip off tree. I would like to think it wasn't other cachers but I don't think that is the case.

I also had a quick look for this one after the DNF. Saw a big lump of bark on the ground and thought how easy is this. (Nup). Yes, unfortunately it does appear someone has stepped on the cactii (not a good look). Probably need to return to this with the GPS.
After teaming up with SnapHappy at the last cache, we moved on to this one and gave it a really good look, but couldn't make the find. We found a few cacti plants as expected and lots of possible hidey holes, but not the right one. We abandoned our search when the farmer came home and was concerned by our torchlight. Maybe we will have more luck in daylight.
