We both agreed that this was not one of the CO's finer moments when he chose to place a cache here.
In his defence, apparently, there has been a lot of growth since he made the hide.
We made a cursory exploration and then made the phone call.
With more of an idea of where to look we moved some blackberry about and I got down on my hands and knees in a couple of places but my heart wasn't really in it.
It is probably still there, somewhere.

Random's right! Always happy for another cache though so no complaints here. Funny how chimneys are often the last that's left of a place - like in the paddock down the road yet in earthquakes they are often one of the first things to fall. TFTC #9661

Found it. My partner for the day got a nail in the shoe. Be careful. Tftc

Just on a bit further to this cache. Quickly found and recorded. Booklet was very wet. Dried the container and plastic bag. Large crack in container that allowed the water in. May put it in a plastic bag next time out that way. One more day until whitebaiting so may look for more tomorrow. Enough walking in gumboots today. TFTC

Caching the town so happy to have one more on the numbers. SoBad dropped Mrs off and went to the end of the road to turn around. Back to collect her just as she finished signing the log.
Thanks.

I have driven past this road many times but this is the first time I've been down here. It only took a few minutes before we were turning the car around and heading off again, having found the cache and signed the log.
Thank you bumandworker.

It was decided to have a coffee and a bite at Flagstaff before looking for this cache. However, it wasn't how we envisaged it. When after setting our folding table and chairs and pouring the cups the sky opened up. Grrr. A rather unorganised retreat under cover followed. Ready to go caching again a watery sun reappeared and after negotiating the wet and slippery "rocky" bit it proved an easy find. Thank you bumandworker
