*Found on the 5 Oct 2024 @ 3:54pm.**Cache find # 15868.* I headed up this way for an event on Jubilee Lake, after the event was over, I then went on a tour around the area and was able to find a few more caches in between rain showers. This one was a nice walk out to GZ and a long way above the river around the GZ area, when I arrived I started looking around walking back and forth a few times before changing my elevation slightly, then I was able to spot and retrieve the cache from its hide.**Thanks to Snorkafest for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
On annual leave with Kploz spending a day or two putting smilies on our geo map. A beautiful walk following the river to this rock face. Our gps bounced around (as cache description said it would) but we managed to average out different readings for GZ which put us on the hide. Thanks for bringing us here.
Given that we were already at the tail end of the walking group, Al and I stopped by here for a look. Once at GZ, we thought we'd spotted the stash but that wasn't the case. After a bit more concentrated look, the cache ended being only a metre or so from what we'd already looked at and that had us signing the log at 13:25 before heading off to catch the others.TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Snorkafest.
Found with Eudes on our bushwalk from Daylesford Lake to Tipperary SpringThanks Snorkafest
Found It!This walking trail had been turned into a river by all the rain here today. So my feet (and the rest of me) were rather wet by the time I got to GZ. But the cache was a quick find once I got there which was good since the rain seemed to be getting heavier!TFTC
I'm normally in Daylesford without Geolabradog but really wanted to do this one with him. I'd noticed a while back that one of the giant stepping stones had been moved by floodwater/debris and it remains out of place........ and outwith my confidence to jump & stay dry!!! Luckily I found another section that I could hop over successfully. We enjoyed a very pleasant stroll, without encountering anyone or anything!! Thankfully I ignored my phone GPS telling me to step off the cliff I spent the walk picking burrs off Geolabradog & also discovered many stuck to my socks. Labradog enjoyed a wee frolic in the river on our return - he's not one for swimming adlib!! Many thanks
A great spot to visit. Myself and Sleepy205 found it coming from the twin bridges side. Thanks for placing this cache.
The tracks around here all have "Danger - Track closed" signs on them. I spoke to a local who said that everyone ignores those signs anyway, because there is nothing dangerous along the tracks. So I proceeded to the spot and found the cache fairly quickly. I also saw the cute reptiles who live nearby. Love the hint which says "Not below track". Good thinking because below the track is a sheer vertical drop through blackberries! Best to search on the uphill side!
Spotted by my wife first (as usual) after a pleasant walk out from the highway.
We're staying in Daylesford for the Australian ORIENTEERING Championships and wanted a little more leg stretching after the short event today.
I forgot a pen so a photo of the log is attached.

Thanks found it, enjoyed the lovely bush walk around the creek. Very peaceful and calming area. Quick find for me.
It was time for one last walk before heading home. This seemed like a great spot, even though Aysen was bumped that he couldn't take the bikes. Kids ran the whole way and enjoyed the surrounds. Luckily hide didn't take too long. A beautiful spot for a cache.
Took us 10 minutes or so wondering whether to jump off the edge or not.... Don't do it! Hidey spot is not that far out of reach. Tftc
I think Lochie was a lucky pooch getting to walk in this lovely area regularly. What a great life.
Great hide took a while but then spotted something that looked like great camo well done
Found during a rainy Sunday in the area.
Always nice to explore around here and we enjoyed the day.
Enjoyed the walk to this spot and the view.
Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today.

Locked down last weekend - free to roam this weekend!
Encouraged by our success at Excalibur, we headed up river. The cache was soon in hand and we paused to take in the the sights and sounds of the valley.
Discovered the TB Friends Collector.
Thanks Snorkafest for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Catching up on finding this one last weekend. Fabulous walk here. Really spectaculr spot. The clue kept me from.doing anything unnecessary. A fav point
We have been meaning to get this one for ages, having collected Excalibur a long time ago. One of the only local caches we hadn't yet claimed. Family bush walk from Daylesford Lake to Tipperary Springs and back. Thanks for the cache.
From the car park by the busy highway,
I took Lochies Walk
A lovely stroll high above the creek
GZ provided some cliffy views,
shrouded in blackberry vines !!
Yer wouldn't want to fall down in that lot [:o]
The fall wouldn't kill you,
but extricating yourself from the brambles wouldn't be pleasant
It might be tasty at this time of year though
A look at the rocks,
and the cache hiding spot was soon spied.
A short scramble and the cache was in me blackberry stained paws
TFTC and a beaut stroll [^]

Last time we visited Tipperary Springs the rain started to get to heavy to venture any further than Excalibur Cache but not today as we enjoy a mild summers day.
The fit Triton ventured up Lochies Walk alone to make the find. He hunted around until he realised he needed to step up to make the find.
Thanks Snorkafest for the placement.

Awesome location, to think we have lived here for almost ten years and I have never ventured in here. Well not totally true I claimed the cache at the other end a year ago but the thought of a walk put me off this one. This is the real joy of caching getting out of the house and getting to see such a gorgeous place, your dog had great taste.
The cache took me a little while to barrie down the options until I had the ah ha moment.
Thanks for your cache, it’s in great condition all dry and pristine.
Cheers Russ

The only way to keep warm on a cold morning was to keep walking so we did.
This one was more accessible and much easier to find.

Out and about with 6hinemoa2 and 08151605. Temperature is showing 0 and there is thick frost in the nearby fields. Why are we doing this LOL
The extra walk warmed us up. A much easier find this time Thanks Snorkafest

Once I'd finally found the Excalibur cache I headed in to this one and made a much quicker find!
Thanks for the cache Snorkafest.
Thanks for the cache Snorkafest.
Continued along the track after my success in extracting Excalibur only to be defeated at the rocks. Found several possible hiding spots but sadly none had the cache. Oh well. Win some lose some. Enjoyed the walk thanks snorkafest
Haven't been caching much over 2017, so decided to start 2018 off with at least one!
A nice walk from the house in town, around the lake, and then down here with a bit more offroad work. We took the scenic route with the bridge still officially out down the path further. At GZ it was a bit of a curious search with the GPSr bouncing around and telling us we should be 'down there', when instinct told me it was 'up here'. Anyway, a bit more rummaging and contemplating 'where would I put it', and it was soon located.
Given the tribute to Lochie in this cache, I couldn't help but snap a photo with my caching companion today... She certainly enjoyed the experience (and a chase of her first wallaby!) so I can see why it was a favourite of Lochie.

A few hours of caching this afternoon in and around the Daylesford area with hubby and the geokids. What a gorgeous walking track. We were thankful for a quick find after having no luck on the previous cache. Many thanks for getting us out and moving on a Sunday arvo!
After a picnic lunch nearby I set off with a young geomuggle for a walk. We really enjoyed the pleasant walk, the creek was flowing, we saw rosellas and an echidna. Once at GZ, we located the cache quite quickly, signed the log and replaced and made our way back to the picnic area. Thanks Snorkafest.
Found at 2:50 PM GAFF3.
A lovely location with a great view down the river. Lots of timber washed down, but heck did I make a mess out of that approach. Instead of continuing down the path to the river I turned left up the hill and then realised once I got to the top that I was getting further away.
Thanks Snorkafest.

Took my dog rufus to get this one. Thought it would be fitting.
Approached this one from the southern car park. The bridge had been just about washed away in the past rain. This meant that rufus and i had to carefully go through the water. I can confirm that the rocks were very slippery tho. The Blissful Pirate took a slip and while trying to regain balance ended up pushing rufus off his rock and in the water. Whoops. But it was smooth sailing after that.
Very beautiful area thanks for placing the cache

Been in Victoria for three weeks walking the Great Ocean Walk (100k) and the Goldfields Track (200k). Collected / found numerous caches along the tracks and nearby towns. TFTC.
Find #1074 for me. After finding the nearby Excalibur Cache, I decided that there was still enough light in the day for me to get this one. The path to GZ was straightforward apart from one large fallen tree blocking the way but it wasn't difficult to climb around it. Good coordinates and the hint led to a quick find at GZ. What a great area you brought me here today! Thanks for placing a cache along this path for me to find Snorkafest - a great way to cap off the day!
After having a muggle and muggle mutt scare the living daylights out of me, I quickly had the cache retrieved and logged. A great deal of water flowing, sounding rather magical! Thoroughly enjoyed the walk. TFTC
FTF 1.52pm. FP for the walk and experience of this serene place. The last 500m took me nearly 2km, but would have kept going further it was such a nice walk. Then all that way back. Just what the doctor ordered for m daily exercise, phew! TNLN TFTC.
