Great cache! At first we were distracted by some other object, also because my phone was struggling with getting my position right. But once you see it.TFTC
Saw this when I first got to GZ and thought surely not but yep sure is!!Visiting from Newcastle and enjoying walking around your lovely city. TFTC
Wow what a fantastic cache . Loved it TFTC Sleepysloth 1 & 2 found it on 9.11.2024. Gave us a great laugh after we had been eyeing something else off
A really cool idea. We've walked past here several times and never noticed it. TFTC. Greetings from Franz and Jule. (:
Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a different kind of a day. The youngest Husky went off for a very long walk, meandering in and around the CBD area, targeting many caches and a lot of adventure lab checkpoints. Over 40,000 steps were walked in total, which worked out to be a smidge over 30kms. Meanwhile, the two elder Huskies opted for a more relaxing day to rest and recover, hanging close to base with a handful of finds in between some shopping and a cafe lunch. An incredibly productive and most importantly, fun caching day, which if including AL's in the total, made for our biggest day of finds ever. We are all thoroughly loving Adelaide.Wow. As soon as I spotted it, I knew that was the cache, so clever and surely muggle proof. Well earned FP given. Thanks for the cache
We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. We came into town and went through the museum after having a bite.to eat I walked over here to have a look around. Now that's strange might aswell check it out. Sure enough there it was. Thanks for the placement. How many muggles see it I wonder.
#24363. The muggle factor was very high, which made searching under seats, etc difficult. Troodles took a seat and looked at something nearby that looked out of place. Hmmm she thought. I was dispatched to investigate, and sure enough the cache was inside. A very cheeky hide. TFTC.
We were so busy with the profusion of ad labs in the area, we almost missed Alte Stinkende! We sat near GZ and looked around for possible hiding places. I then spotted something unusual that needed further investigation. StreetWalkerNZ was sent in to do the reconnaissance, and nek minnit he was holding a cache in his hands.Ha-ha! What a bold hide! Thanks for the fun.
had been searched everywhere as no idea where is so DNF for me today with sad. Thanks Freddo for placing it.
Found it but stretched every muscles retrieving! A FP from us for something quite different. Loved our visit to the state library while we were here too. Tftc
I arrived in Australia (Brisbane) a couple of weeks ago for work, and finally that is done with and I am now on the holiday portion of my travels. And what a holiday it is, I will be visiting six cities in a little over two weeks as I follow a rock band around on tour. Along the way, I will be collecting geocaches. I started in Perth, and now I am here in Adelaide. My first time geocaching in South Australia. This morning was just about wandering aroynd the city and getting familiar with it. I arrived and started searching as best I could, but where I was looking just didn't feel right. So I stopped, and stepped back to examine my surroundings and read through some past logs. And after a while I realised where the cache was. Fortunately I am well equipped to retrieve such hides, and soon had my name in the log book. Wow, great hide!---Thanks to Freddo the Frog for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
No trash here, just good caches great hide! Very audacious though ?? passed this so many times but it's such a busy area!
Whoo hoo, found at last. I was here a month or so ago and most of the hiding place was missing, also didn't help that it was coffee time at the closeby coffee van. Thanks to CO it has now been fixed an it was an easy find and retrieval this time on a very quiet Sunday morning. Very cool, and tricky in a high muggle area normally. Fav point deserved. TFTC Freddo.
I read the previous logs but didnt think Id genuinely laugh out loud when I spotted it Great find, TFTC!
Took a couple of tries, but we soon had this cache signed and returned to its unnatural habitat. Thanks for the support InvisibleNinja.TFTC Freddo
That was a unique find. Was at the location searching earlier, but many muggles around, so decided to return later at a quieter time. On return soon spied the cache. TFTC
Have we found a cache like this before.....? That's a definite no. It's in a class of its own.. and for that, a FP from us. TFTC Freddo.
Just goes to show you that no matter how many caches youve found or years youve lived complacency can still kick in. We turned this DNF from yesterday into a happy yellow face today. So how does the hubris kick in? First, misreading the cache name in semi-dusk, looking up stickende and finding its the German word for embroidery. Possible super interesting to some but completely useless in this case. Second, rereading the cache name and notes and jumping to a completely wrong assumption which, of course, makes us the first three letter. Third, finding what turned out to be an unrelated broken attachment and jumping to another wrong assumption. Fourth, not looking around enough. Goodness! CO asked a nudging question and we returned this morning suitably humbled and determined to do better in future. A favourite for a pretty funny hide, lessons re-learned and a kind-hearted CO. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
Oh pooh! Weve arrived in Adelaide from Sydney and had targeted this multi-favourited cache. Arrived at GZ with some ideas about what we might be looking for but it never turned up for us. We did find an attachment with nothing attached. Could the target container have been cleaned up? Never mind, we had fun looking anyway. CheersGaztek
Well.. wow.. that was unexpected I don't want to give away any clues, however a part of the cache may need maintenance soon due to some wear and tear. TYVMFTC!
Second day caching here leave tonight for the ACT This has been a quick trip to cache only. Beautiful city lots of caches I will need to come back TFTC Big day 6 hours and 14.5 km I will sleep on the plane. This is an awesome idea.
Out with the team for a good time in the city and surrounds. Plenty of shoe leather and lots of fun.TFTC
A fun few days in this beautiful city with friends. Lots of walking in the cool fresh air with little time to spare - fun! WOW - that was tough! TFTC Freddo!
Well that was an audacious hide! Luckily previous logs gave us an idea of what to expect. Inner container and log in excellent condition. Thanks, Freddo!
Definitely one of the more interesting caches Ive found, didnt think Id be putting my hand near that, especially after some rain Thanks Freddo!
With a little help from the pictures, dismissing the garbage can, it was suddenly easy to find this funny hide. Never saw a hide like this before. Very Nice!
Our first australien cache, we found it with American help. Greetings from Koblenz (Germany). Thanks for this funny cache!
Out for a long stroll around the CBD, and trying to find a lot of geocaches along the way.It seems fitting that a geocache that Ive tried to find a couple of times will wind up being one of my last fines in South Australia. I searched a lot of the wrong places again, And then decided to look further a field. It was then but I thought to myself, why dont I go and check that thing that I dismissed 20 minutes ago.And then there it was.About 15 seconds after I had confirmed the location of the container, I was approached by, a couple of Germans who wanted to know if I had found the geocache. We chatted for while, and we all signed the log, and we went our separate ways.I absolutely love bumping into other geocachers out on the trail.Anyway, thanks to Freddo for another memorable hide.
(# 10223) I passed here during my sunday walkabout today, and sat down to contemplate the difficulty level. Some logs helped greatly in locating the cache. Thanks!- - - - - - - - -*Having had a wonderful 25-day trip to Australia, visiting Townsville, Canberra, Sydney, the Sunshine Coast, Kangaroo Island, and finally spending time in Adelaide, today I just had a sunday walkabout in town. Wonderful weather today, for a Swede, who just lived through 6 months of gray, dark, icy, rainy, snowy winter in the northern hemisphere. I just browsed about town, logging virtuals, ALC's, traditionals and a mystery cache I solved a long time ago as part of some "Master of Mystery". Truly enjoyed it all. Tomorrow, I'll fly back home.* **Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining geocaches for the community to enjoy.** // e-scape (from Sweden)
I have looked for this one on a previous trip but it was missing then. Spotted it as i walked up today so happy to see its here ( even though the container is interesting) Obviously not made for my height but I shimmied the container out and went and sat down to sign it. Next the trickier task was to put it back. Took a fair bit of stretching and straining until i got it back in its hiding spot. There was a few people around but noone took any notice of me except the bus driver who passed by centimetres away from me. TFTC. A favorite point awarded for the most obviously hidden cache.
#13972 9:05Initially I was searching in the wrong places but then I noticed the smelly camo. I love a hide in plain view of everyone. I am quite tall so had no issue getting the container out and in.Well worth a FP!TFTC Freddo.
Adelaide day nr 3...Used public transport only....Quick stopover in the city centre for a lunch.Such a fun hide! Never seen something like that before!Bumped also into some protest...I'm logging this hide as my 10570 find. Many thanks Freddo the Frog for a placement.
Found by our 7year old daughter????Ewwww Im not touching this one she said??
CJ3 ???? - spotted by the 7yr old immediately by saying eeewwwww so gross! 1 year today of being in this country
An extremely brazen, smart cache. The coords had us searching somewhere totally different. We decided to eliminate the obvious and then expanded our search outside of the GZ area. Thankfully we did and used our amazing powers of stealth! TFTC W074
SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! We looked a bit too long for this one, but finally snagged it. SM325 spotted it. So clever! TFTF!
Mrs. Amazing and I spent this beautiful sunny afternoon doing adventure labs, traditional caches, virtuals and earthcaches. It gave us the ability to see a good part of Adelaide. This one definitely deserves a favorite point. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!Amazing this one is just there in plain sight!
Arrived in Adelaide and happy to see the hotel room was already ready for us. Now we're taking an easy walk around Adelaide, seeing some of the squares and Rundle Mall and maybe something more, depends how much time we need . Haha, we just about expected this one to be like this from its name. Found a similar one in the most muggle-infested area of Berlin some years ago. Great idea! Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Hard to be discrete in the CBD, but a spoiler pic was handy and the cache was eventually tracked down. Cheeky hide here, but it works!A mish-mash of a day today as a couple of my group ( me included) realised that out trip to Adelaide would be extended for up to a week, oh no, quel domage. Si I headed i=out early doors for a few early morning picks down Mawson Lakes way. Then had a coffee and chat to farewell a colleague, then afterwards was a trip into the city to pick off a few low-hanging fruit. I filtered my app to Wherigo,l Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache and Virtual but flicked on Traditionals and off depending on where I was etc. A great day to get some awesome, and popular, caches under my belt. As ever, the a[preciation to the COs is most genuinely respected.
A nice, quick cache on my way to work.I actually can not believe that I haven't seen this before.TFTC!
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??
Travelled south to attend The Great Leap Forward in Adelaide, my first trip there. The Event was great and collecting as many caches as possible before heading to Canberra. Caching as 6 for QLD - RoddyC, Snickersallen, Hatzofff, patrol14, grannysmith1947 and me. I have enjoyed all of this venture, weather, scenery, friends and the list goes on. This cache sure needs a favourite point, so authentic, loved it. TFTC
In Adelaide for a couple of weeks post Mega.Another busy day - here there and everywhere. Again signing as 5 for QLD. Fab hide, Freddo!Log signed and cache replaced as found on Saturday 9th March 2024. TFTC, Freddo.

Haha. Love it ????. We were looking for something tiny and magnetic in the wrong place at first, then we widened the search field a bit. I just happened to look in the right direction and saw something out of place. Then the penny dropped and the connection was made. Yup, that had to be it. Once I got closer I saw the attachment and knew for sure. Amazing isnt it- when something is in open view- how it doesnt attract attention? Cool cache with a difference here. Signed as the SADDLE club for teams Shazzar66, AtTheLakeHouse, Duppers Delightful Leap Excursion - or something like that!
Over from Perth for few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. This was a bonus day thanks to the Qantas pilots going on strike - I was supposed to fly back today, but got rescheduled to tomorrow. So hmmm... what to do with an extra full day? Well I managed to get the hire car extended by a day as well so I guess there's nothing for it but to tee up a few more select geocaches and an extra LGA or two! This was one of today's extras. Very busy location and I wasn't having much luck in the area I was searching. A couple of things looked promising... but after physically touching them I realised they were real. Was looking around for divine intervention and spotted something unusual. Ha, here we go. With some ninja timing I had the log successfully retrieved and replaced without drawing attention. A fave for the audacity! TFTC
Found by Six Queenslanders Unsupervised In Radelaide Mega'ing. It's the last day of our magical mystery tour. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Freddo
Out and about with TBU1BIKESU for more smilies Tftc Freddo the Frog A few point from me
Stinky is a Goblin and protector of sorts for the Goblin race. Hes named for his smell but its not so much a smell as a sensation of your dental enamel evaporating.
Adelaide day three: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to check out Adventure Island. We wandered down from our parked geovehicles and checked out a couple of plausible locations before spotting the stinky hide. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Freddo ??~????????~
Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick, RoamingHowie and myself had a great time on Adventure Island this morning and were now picking up some selected caches. This is definitely not what we were expecting to find here. We signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
Well, I am not too sure about what to say here. It is not what I expected to find and certainly not what we were looking for. I am surprised it hasn't been muggled but the cache is still here and we have signed it to prove we have been here also. Thanks for another unusual cache.
Day #11 Leaping Forward AdventuresIt was time for some more local adventures today with a visit to Adventure Island and some events. Out exploring with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.Well this was certainly a first! Cant say Ive found one like this before. We searched in a few spots before I was daring enough to check. Thanks Freddo for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. Lol that a funny way of hiding it. The extremely tall building across the road is the best hint
Its day 9 of Team SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and our last full day in Radelaide. We have some time left in the day before a Fringe show so its time for more caching. The CO had mentioned this to me earlier in the week so I wanted to make sure we got it before we left town. Can honestly say Ive never seen a hide like that before, crazy that it works! Have another FPTftc FreddoFind #5782
The SQUIRM Adelaide Tour - 2024 is almost over Its our final full day which means getting even more selective with our finds Theres still lots of do we want a __________? from the backseat of Staceys Mum, which means plenty of deviations to Davinells well laid out plan With a CITO in the middle of the day, an event in the early evening and Dizney in Drag tickets tonight we have the fundamentals of a timeline Never before never againThanks Freddo
The SQUIRM team has travelled from Brisbane for the MEGA. We are here for a week and a bit of Fun, Fringe and caching. It's been a huge week, so many caches found, drives done, shows watched, meals eaten and even a swim. OMG. That's cleverFavourite point from me as well
Thank you for the cache!Found together with Ironford during our Leap Year stay in Adelaide - the very first time in Australia! I really enjoyed exploring and geocaching here. The weather was incredible (having arrived from central European winter), and I loved the beaches!Today, our plan was to attend the event in Semaphore and then go to Port Adelaide to see the dolphins, but the cruise operator postponed the trip to the following day, so we did some more sightseeing in the city centre instead. We went by train to North Terrace and then walked through the CBD. This is a hilarious cache! I'm not sure if it requires stealth or brazen courage or both, but it certainly deserves a favourite point.
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. We started in Adelaide and fell in love with the city and the geocaching community. The main goal was the Leap Day Mega Event, but Adelaide was so much more than that!Today, we went to the seaside, which is always a treat for people from a landlocked country. We also spent some time in the CBD to find some more caches for a challenge. This was an amazing find. Thanks God I know some German. Can't believe the cache is hidden like this. This definitely deserves a favourite point. Many thanks for an invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
Another one for spiderdad. I need to grow. We have seen several like this at home. Many thanks and greetings from UK ????. Favourite point
Found whilst in Adelaide for the mega on 29 Feb, The Great Leap Forward. Well that's a unique way of hiding a cache, that's for sure. Waited for crowds of pedestrians to pass before retrieving and replacing. Thankfully I was just y'all enough! Amazingly tall building across the road. TFTC!
