One of us has a conference at UC for the 3 coming days, so making the most of our time in that side of town. Easy solve, quick find at GZ, quiet at GZ, what can we ask more?
The first puzzle I solved all by myself. Dimepodore already had the answer, but told me to get the answer. I used a calculator, I was scared it would take for ever, but I finally got the numbers. TFTC Find #137 Streak day #26
Played with the dots to get the numbers before we went shopping over this side today. In the dark recesses of my mind, I think I knew about this. We detoured and found after a little circling, but the log, even a sealed bag, was soaked. We did a bit of resuscitation in the car's A/C before signing and returning. Thanks 8ManAfter.
Puzzle was a good one, very clever thanks 8ManAfterAfter some tentative driving down narrow roads we discovered the hiding place.Baktrak dried it out and we replaced it to its spot.
Armed with jandals and a chilly bin, a couple of Aussies headed across the ditch for a 3-week tiki tour, exploring the beauty of New Zealand.DAY 21: A few last-minute caches and our event before heading home.A quick solve last night and then even quicker find this morning. Thanks for showing us this special place by placing this cache, 8ManAfter tn koe~~
It's a long weekend and so I thought I would make it a longer weekend and visit a friend down in Christchurch, that northern peninsula of the Antarctic ice sheet. Arrived late yesterday so only got a few in then. Today's mission: make a dent in some of those 800 solved puzzles I have in the South Island. That Darn Bear and I had a great time finding puzzle caches, although the 20% DNF rate was a bit of a downer. This was a fun cache to solve! Lots of people in the general vacinity of GZ. I wonder if anyone saw the bear and I disappear into the bushes. Did they wonder what we were up to? Did they care?
The Seagnoid has come to stay for a long weekend and have some caching adventures. Today we ventured out to find solved puzzle caches, and a few others along the way. It was a mostly successful day, with only a handful of DNF's.Thanks for the cache.

Coming back from a spicy wing night at friends' place in Avonhead, this was right on the way. Convenient for a mystery dot-day. 30 dates to fill still, and if I'm lucky, I'll be done by this time next year!
Anyway, a bit of a strange task. But makes sense when you think of it. "trust your eyes, even when they deceive you", is really the key.
Cache found, all in good order, and no muggles around late at night.

Checked in on this one, since I was in the area. All good, and I dropped a TB too.
Enjoyed the puzzle and finally got to pick up the cache during the camas period.

We are down this way for the Killers concert and this morning I took a 10km loop run to gather up a handful of solved puzzles. This was the second one which took a few moments to put my hands once at the right height. The puzzle itself was easy if not overthinking it.
Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other puzzles solved as well which filled in the 24th. The 25th was the Smurfs and Fresh Breath. 26th was Rattle and Horses. We certainly made a great dent in my solved puzzle list but I'll still have enough for another trip.
Well you can't trust my eyes with these types of puzzles. I just can't seem to see them. I tried opening it in other programs but that didn't help me either. Luckily my teammate had this sorted and obviously my eyes were good at spotting the actual cache. Thanks for the puzzle

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei yesterday, so today was our first full day to get into it.
Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list. Thankfully the weather looked like it was going to play ball today, as caching in the rain is always just that bit harder.
Pleased to avenge a DNF from last year on this one, as Lis found this one quickly. TFTC

Seldom in this part of town, so made the effort to grab a few solved nearby puzzles; TFTC
it's not often I solve a mystery and to have the final within 500m, so of course I had to set out immediately. Coords spot on but even so, it took a minute of searching
Had to come back for this one due to rain and muggles but forgot my pen 2nd time around. got it easy enough thanks
Took a while to solve as I knew the correct answer. Eventually had the ah-a moment. Quick find this afternoon.
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
Time for a few out west and south today. Hadn't realised that the road I went down was a private carpark for the Uni, but I thought a few minutes would be okay anyway. But, after 5 minutes with the GPS not settling, and nothing unusual showing up, decided to abandon for today. Thx anyyway.

This was an odd puzzle that I think I solved a while ago. It didn't work for me, as to me there are no dots, and if you do the process with 000, it works, but it appears to be a degenerate solution, and appears to be in someone's back yard. Not knowing how much iteration there would be, I used a bit more of a brute force method, but have also just done the iteration to see that it works. A pleasant walk that I timed well as the wind had dropped. TFTC.
Have looked at this for at least a year, so decided to give it a go. Very interesting puzzle, it's a case of never give up!! Found today with Coconuts 3 who got there before I did on the answer, but I declined a handout and got it too. TFTH really enjoyed doing this.
Out with busy paws finding some of the puzzles caches we had solved. I enjoyed this puzzle as love numbers but still surprised how this works out. Came to find you and yeh I got it right. Thanks for the puzzle and cache 8ManAfter.
STAY HOME, STAY SAFE, STAY SMART!
DISABLING FOR NOW. ANY LOGS POSTED FROM NOW UNTIL THE CACHE IS ENABLED WILL BE DELETED.

Having solved it, the fun part was the additional investigation leading to the discovery of the sneaky secret of the algorithm. Even with very poor eyesight but competent arithmetic you will be led to the correct answer exactly 96% of the time! A favourite. Pleased to sign the pristine new log. Thanks for the fun puzzle 8ManAfter!
TFTC. I solved this fun puzzle twice as I lost my working first time around. It took a while to get around to finding it but was great to pick it up while out on my bike this morning. Log is quite damp and I could barely write on it.
Tried but couldn't trust our eyes so got some help for which we were very grateful. A pleasant wander across the playing fields. Not too many muggles around. The log is very wet and bits fell off as we signed it. TFTC
Nice little wander to GZ and although quite busy nearby we managed to locate the cache with no problem. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache
We weren't at the PPPP shindig, but it was a fun little puzzle to work out for ourselves. Today was teeming so no golf but a short walk instead. No one around in the rain so an easy search and nobody around to hear our muted yippee!!!! . Enjoyed the chase, thank you.
A quick find in the obvious place (to me anyway). The puzzle was taxing on the eyes of course. Solved a while back. I think from memory I printed it out to make it a little easier to count. TFTC and puzzle 8manafter, all good here.
It was bitterly cold at times today and very wet for the most part, but I had some business to do in town. Bit of a shame - a great day to stay inside and watch movies.
But I was out and about so decided to get a few caches while I was at it, just for a calendar days project. Ideally I would be hitting the country roads, but due to the deluge of the last 24 hours that would mean risking getting bogged down in an off road park. So urban park and grabs for me, and not too many of those either. Glad to get back home and to get warm.
Thanks to all COs.

Good side: With the final coords revealed, an afternoon walking before sunset is a good thing. Winding beside the traffic and head to the GZ, a brief search, cache is in hand. Signed the log and sneaked away.
Bad side: Eye stretch and fatigue...after solving the puzzle.
Trick one but fun. TFTC!

Solved this puzzle a couple of years ago, but just never got out to this area to make the find. It's been a couple of weeks since I'd found a cache for various reasons to felt the need to head out during lunch today. No problems locating the cache today. Thanks for the puzzle, and cache.
A rather damp day resulted in a change of plans for this trip to Christchurch whereby I decided to clean up some puzzles that I had solved up to 18 months ago. Just looking at this one again my eyes don't seem to be as good as then. My note says that I'm not sure on the final location but it seems to be a suitable spot. Arriving at what is hopefully ground zero the surrounds looked promising and a container was soon revealed.
Found a little while ago. Took daughter out for a rollerblade so this made it a helpful direction to go in. Tftc.
An unusual and interesting puzzle which seemed to work out, and the cache was a quick easy find. There was water in it, but the log was ok. TFTC
Visiting Chch from Nelson on business with time to collect some puzzle caches. What a fun puzzle this one was. Nice to make the final find.
Pretty pleased to solve this. I didn't get to the PPPParty so no idea really how to approach this. But I left it overnight then thought, what if, and what do you know, it worked. As soon as I mapped my coordinates I knew they would be right. A small break in the rain while the apple crumble was cooking meant I had time to find and sign the cache and be home before the buzzer went. Thanks for the puzzle and cache, 8ManAfter.

More after work cache finding. Making the most of the fact that I've had to be starting work a little earlier since I can no longer run to work in the mornings & need to be dropped off instead, but daughters daycare still finishes at the same time, so noone even notices that mum & I actually have about half an hour each day to 'detour' on the way home lol!
This one had been on my list to find for quite a while but I'd somehow after ages still never got round to it... so today decided to knock off a few.
Ended up not too bad to find - I'm sure I found a previous FTF here in the middle of the night!!!
TFTC!!

Cleaning up my solved puzzle list (slowly). Called in here after work on a very drizzly day. Stood in the rain pretending to text someone while I waited for the muggles to move on then made the quick find and sign.

On am bit of a caching mission because...well...I can...had this solved and in the Pocket Query for a while and today was the day to settle the score. GPS was bouncing but still got my hands on the prize.

Even at night there were still muggles around so had to pick our moment carefully. A quick and easy find once we went for it. TFTC
#14281. I needed 4 finds today to turn a 10-find day into a 14-find day. This one was a good candidate, as Troodles had recently found it, and the Uni students are on holiday (so the forecast muggle level was low). Quick find in a good hiding place. TFTC.
I wanted to find a cache today for a "calendar" day and this was a good candidate, as it was "sort of" on the way home from work, plus it was a puzzle that had been solved for some time, luckily by StreetWalker as I found the image extremely difficult to look at.
Maybe not the best time to look for it was there was a constant parade of muggles and I had to pick my time. The cache was well buried after over 6 months of loneliness. Apologies for the dirty marks now on the log book but I hadn't brought anything with me to clean my hands before doing the paperwork. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Wow that makes your eyes hurt!! I really wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing with this puzzle. I counted what I thought I should and then started on the calculations. The numbers seemed to be going nowhere and then got stuck on a particular set of three digits. I tried putting this into the formula and the numbers it spat out gave a sensible GZ.
Tonight we were in the area so we took a short walk to the co ords I had worked out and there was the cache! Yay!! TFTC.

My eyes! But seriously, tftc mopped up a few puzzles on the run home today. Cheers
I dropped my youngest son off to his exams and decided to go geocaching afterwards. The poor thing was sick all last week.
I was so annoyed that I couldn't make the event that you put on for this puzzle. But it was still fun finding it.

I had a bit of time up my sleeve this morning as I had dropped off Mrs TW to do some visiting and I shuffled my schedule around as caching time was getting too tight . Mrs TW was happy and I headed off to Shuktown to collect a few of the solved puzzles. I had missed the notification on a few of these and missed them. Nice to share them around.
I had success on some of the Shuk series and was heading over to grab Mrs TW from her visit. I parked nearby and had to time my grab as the traffic was quite busy. Cool puzzle.
Thanks for the cache 8ManAfter.

Thought I had logged a find on this one not sure why it is unfound on my map? A clever puzzle again from 8MA missed the PPPP due to prior commitments but managed the solve and a quick easy find on my lunch break whilst everyone else was studying.
I, unfortunately didn't attend the PPPP so I didn't have the advantage of accompaning the PPPP party goers to the cache. So, a few days later I found myself going dotty not knowing which black dots to look for I kept seeing random black dots in the white dots. [B)] So, I tried counting both and then when neither produced suitable results I gave up for a while. A few days later I tried again and this time things started to make sense and I arrived at an answer that looked good in GE. I then submited my answer to the CO and he replied, "Correct.".
Cache found and signed on this frosty morning. Thanks for eye test 8ManAfter, I think?.

Worked out at the popping party, but I didn't join the rush to grab it that evening, stayed in to figure out as many as possible. Finally made it to the GZ for the log today. Nice weather. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Haha yet another puzzle whereby I charged straight in, got confused and nowhere, only to discover I was not doing the solving properly
A more thorough read and soon I had my number - and then a logbook. Thanks for the brain gym session

Group {*FTF*} - solved and found as a group during 8MA's event... and what a dodgy looking group we were . TFTC (3021)
After a bit of brain storming and puzzle solving at the PPP Party we headed out to find the cache. After a wee stroll in the dark we found our way to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Such a fun night. Thanks for placing the caches for us 8MA.
Another puzzle published during the event. Quickly found final coordinates, and stormed slowly down the stairs gathering those that heard away for a joint event {FTF}.
Thanks 8MA for the fun solve and find. Cheers.
Thanks 8MA for the fun solve and find. Cheers.
2FT at 20:45. Solved the puzzle and as soon as hubby got home to mind the wee cachelet I was on my way. Enjoyed the puzzle - TFTC.
A short walk with a bunch of mad party poppers after a short puzzle solving session, and a mass [FTF]. Cheers all!
The second puzzle published by the CO whilst a huge group of us were attending his Puzzle Popping Potluck Party Event......once solved (with no help from the co) we all saw it was close(ish) so all walked/drove/scampered to gz and signed it for another huge group ftf (puzzle popping party poopers)...much easier than writing all our names again. Another fun puzzle...look forward to the rest (I think)....cheers ears.
A fun solve and find while at the puzzle solving event. Thanks for organising and placing these!
TFTC. This was the second puzzle published while we attended the Puzzle Popping PotLuck Event. Once solved, after lots of chatter around the room, we had a joint FTF. Log signed puzzle popping party poopers.
A really interesting puzzle. A favourite vote from me.
Thanks 8ManAfter for the entertainment.

More mental aerobics for the second puzzle published at event. Eventually most of the attendees ambled off to make the group find. Thanks 8MA for another test of puzzle finesse.
