The geocaching plan for Taurus Six and I today, changed somewhat when we realised there were still three First to Finds to be found around the Bridgetown , Boyup Brook , Kojonup backroads areas. We have been keeping an eye on them over the last several weeks , but have not had an opportunity until today to get down that way. We are pleasantly surprised that they have not been found as yet. We set off early and the drive down from Bunbury was quite beautiful , with the full moon still in the sky , patches of fog everywhere and as the sun was rising there was steam coming off the paddocks , which was a really lovely site. We headed down the South West Highway and started the day with a lovely breakfast in Balingup before hitting the backroads as well as the first to finds we took this opportunity to clear up straggler caches and previous dnfs along the way . All in all it was an enjoyable caching morning. This was our sixth cache find of the day along these fabulous backroads . We made our way to this gz and then waited for a couple of vehicles to pass by before we quickly found, logged and replaced the cache . Thanks for the cache find Kojispud .
Found this whilst driving home from Bunbury to katanning, was quite a reach to get it from its hiding place!
Love the history.

Found with bigSalmon1 on way to Boyup Brook. Thanks for the history about the school and bringing us here TFTC
Thought we’d take a small diversion off the main road to visit this cache. Schoolhouse is no longer standing but it was interesting regardless. TFTC
Touring the Great Southern using Geocachiing as our guide.
We headed out today from Kojonup and did a massive loop of some 420km. We saw some great historic locations, old schools, old halls, so much information shared with us today through Geocaching. We often say WA doesnt have the history of other States but boy you did us proud today.
Sadly the school is no longer standing. Just the chimney is hanging on today. The timber is still onsite as if was packed up.

It would be nice if it was on public land. We just looked from the fence line.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks kojispud a quick find here today! School doesn't look like it will be around for much longer, such a shame!
Looks like this little school will fall down in the next puff of wind.
Thank you KojiSpud, love these historic locations.

Decided to do a caching run to Albany and stay overnight and cache on the way home. Our aim was to pick up as many as possible including multi,s and puzzle caches that the hubby had solved. Most caches were found quickly with a few that took a bit of searching to find. A big thanks to all the CO,S for placing the caches for us and everyone else to find.
A slight detour while on the way to Denmark. Had to negotiate heavy fog in sections along the SW before heading towards gz. Quick find - thanks kojispud.
** This is a late log **
The caches I am now logging are from a day out caching with Mrs Jackylegs44. We couldn't decide which way to head, so eventually hatched a plan to do a bit of loop, seeing how far we got, aiming to pick up a few LGA's for their team along the way. All up I think we covered about 550km today, enjoying the scenery out the back of whoop whoop and collecting a small swag of smileys.
Since then, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.
I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs.
No problems finding the cache. Thanks for the smiley `KojiSpud

Quick stop on my roadtrip with Mistraluna today. Cache found quickly and in good condition. Another historically important site. thank you! tftc sl tnln
TFTH headed down to Albany for a quick weekend trip. Needed to do some maintenance on some down that way and made the most of it by finding a few along the way.
On the trip home the main aim of the game was to find the My Home series of caches. All these were found in good condition and made for some fun caching through the. Country side. A. Good range of camo containers and sizes.
Ended up with 20 finds and 9 caches checked on. Just short of 1000km on the Geocar with the weather perfect on both days.
Thanks for bringing me back down this way and as usual I'm sure it won't be long until I return again.

With a rare additional weekend off secured, plans were hatched to go out and find s bunch of caches to keep the numbers ticking over. We thought why not kill two birds with one stone, do some running repairs on our Albany caches, and finally, and I mean finally grab the My Home series, which has been on the radar for far too long.
This is my kind of geocaching, nice country driving, some different styles of container and good times with good mates, what more can you want. We're finally getting close to having the whole route from Perth to Albany along Albany highway cleaned up. It's taken five years so far, and we've nearly cached out every town along the route, and the alternative route via Cranbrook including just about every town between. Hopefully we can pickup a few more on our next run down. Thanks

Decided to get muggle to take me on a overnight georoad trip from Bunbury to Wagin via Boyup Brook, Kojonup and Woodanilling and a few little caching destinations along the way
Who would have thought I would get TTF (third to find) and after my caching mate pood who got STF
Was a bit hesitant with the long grass/weeds but I took it slowly and easily found the cache

Gotcha, found it tucked away carefully.
We parked rather carefully on the side of the narrow road with the caravan in tow as the edges were rather wet from all the recent rains.
A rather ramshackle do old school building, hopefully it will stand the test of time.
