This was my 3rd dnf in a row as I made my back to the car.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 41. Mid North section of SA trip Day 12. Barossa Valley Day 4. I left Nuriootpa today for Gawler. It was not far, so I got up early and did a bit of local caching before checkout time. Once I had the van hooked on, I went into town for a few caches and a chat to SnappyTomCats at their very impressive shop. After morning tea, I headed off to Gawler and setup even though I was a bit early. The afternoon was spent on the Barossa trail caches, and wow, I thought some of the NTA trail caches were impressive. Some of these were just plain difficult, to the extent I missed a good handful of them. Oh well, it was a fun day and I enjoyed the challenge.

I jumped on my scooter and worked my way along this track for 20 finds. It was hard work, some are just devious.

Thanks for the cache LíB

Day seventeen of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
With Sunday's crappy weather all finished, we set of on the deadly treadlies to complete some more of the Barossa Trail. We drove to Lyndoch, and then rode to the start of the trail then back to the Bakery at Lyndoch for lunch.
After lunch we did a few more back towards Rowland Flat, and then a few odd ones.
A nice collection of caches, and a great ride.

When there is only one tree, you have to use it!
Thanks, Robmc.

#19356. Day 17 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. After a miserable day weather-wise yesterday it was back to the bicycles today with the hope of making a big dent in the Barossa Trail caches. We parked at Lyndoch and rode towards Gawler - starting at #40 and gathering all that were available until we finished at #1. 2 1/2 hours to do that and another 1/2 hour to ride back for our lunch stop. After lunch we did a few more before returning to base at Tanunda. A great day's ride and so many interesting cache hides.

Nice camouflage however the log is very damp and needs some attention.

Thanks LíB

Another beautiful winters day in the Barossa out caching with iluvtrekking. This is the type of hides we prefer - rural roads and lanes. Thanks LiB

I recently completed one cache find in each 360 degrees from home location challenge. I have now decided to continue and aim for five finds in each of the 360 degrees. Today I was targeting specific caches in missing cells for this challenge and a few solved mysteries along the way.

A great day of sunshine and a bunch of high quality caches made for a very enjoyable day.

A long search here but I eventually spotted it.

Thanks for the cache LíB.

Happy New Year! Needed a find for a souvenir so managed to get out after dinner (and the heat) and tick a few more off the trail. TFTC

Loads of ants around here. Had to walk another 20m just so I could stay still enough to sign the log!

Cool custom made container. Got attacked by bull ants which was unpleasant. Thanks LÌB

Today was the Big Birthday Bash in the Barossa. After a big caching day out I wasn’t sure how I would fare today, but still managed around 20.
Really enjoyed my walk along the rail trail and then headed to the Birthday party which was lots of fun.
I then did some of the lab caches in the area but ran out of time so I guess I will be heading back .
Thanks as always to all the CO for the hides.
Was finding the walk heavy going by now in the sunshine with no sunscreen. Found this one safe and well TFTC LiB

26-Jul-20
Finally… Sunday. I am excited, a full day of caching, wherever I want to go. I woke at 4.30am eager as, tempted but needed more kip. I then slept through to 7, simply refuse to set an alarm on the weekend, so much for the early start. Packed the car and headed north, woohoo. Low lying fog all over the low lands.

I started on Twartz rd then did the meat trail by push bike. Slipped through Gawler and hit the start of the Barossa Trail. I need a good bunch on the western end, and a smattering of missed ones in the middle. I still had a few misses, but chuffed at turning my previous frowns into smileys. The day finished on the bike at Jacobs Creek complex, when the sun decided to fade. It was time to head home for some pasta, wine and to log the days finds.

I tried a new technique today of recording personal notes rather than logging in the field (LITF) so save some daylight time during caching.

Thanks for the cache Lib. I have just finished making one like this, and it was going to be at Nash St Grange but handed over my allocated spot to a nano. Wont be doing that again. Great cache.

22-Mar-20
Thanks, LíB for your considerable efforts on these bike tracks. Hopefully, we will be able to return one day to complete them. This is our last day of caching in SA before racing back to the West before the borders close.

This cache was found on our Geocaching road trip from Perth to Millicent for the now-cancelled, GeoVenture2020 Event.

Mr Tardis was out on a nice spring day for a bike ride along the first part of the Jack Bobridge series. I really enjoyed the ride and the effort put into this cache series, with a variety of different finds.

I found this one in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache LíB.

11-Aug-19
Last day of the promo and I needed 33 finds to grab the final souvenier. What else to do but hit up a power trail. I managed to walk the round trip of 18 kilometers in around four and a half hours, A little further than I'd planned, but a few DNF's here and there stretched the journey a bit further than I'd hoped.

This was find number 3 of 33 for the day for me. TFTC LíB!

Another one almost missed, but the Fish was on point.

25-Mar-19
Today we headed north from where we are staying to look for caches along the Jack Bobridge Trail. We looked for over 45 of them and found nearly all. We want to go back and look again for the two that we missed now that we have had the opportunity to read other logs. The caches today that we visited were outstanding. There is such a variety of high quality hides. So much care and effort has gone into the design, construction and placement of the caches. It was a very enjoyable caching experience.

This cache was a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 3LG for this cache and a very high quality series.

07-Mar-19
The weather was perfect for caching today and so was the series of caches we had decided to look for!

3LG has done an amazing job on a series of very clever hides - we were constantly impressed by the variety, cleverness and trouble taken over each one.

F-Llama and Miss_Bovine are looking forward to returning another time to find more along the Jack Bobridge Trail.

A great hide for such a small container.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us. Wink

Now camped in Tanunda. Today the GeoCruiser was booked into Toyota. So what does any Geoaddict do when they have no 4x4, come rain, wind and freezing temperatures? .... they jump on the GeoBike of course.

Mr Felix started at #79 at 8.30am and finished at #1 at 4.10pm, he was unable to complete the series due to trail works where the track is closed to all traffic for 1km. Picking up a few other caches along the way he managed to complete 75/79 attempted caches today.

What an awesome trail and amount of work to place and maintain. Definitely a fan of the series, so creative and tricky, such a range of quality hides. Helped out with some log replacements where necessary.

replaced the logsheet whilst here.

Needed a break from report writing and feeling sad that we were unable to go to the JLW event so drove down to Jack Bobridge trail and did fom the start to Sandy Creek on foot with the geo hound, who I might add LOVED it. A beautiful afternoon. I wish I had done this part of the trail first as the finds are so much easier than further along. Great trail!

This one is a very cute hide but we had to do an ant dance while here. They were very active today.

This morning Mr froghoppin and I walked the Jack Bobridge Trail from #1 to #49. With brisal5 & AnyMules joining us between #38 - #49. We walked from Gawler East to Altona (about 16kms) Todays step count 24,000. I enjoyed this trail immensely and appreciated the effort gone into the hides. I look forward to coming back to complete the rest of the trail.

TFTC & the series 3LG. Smile

Today we taclked the seres by foot with Hevwalker doing #1 to #40 and then joined by Anymules and Brisal for #41 to #49, loved the variety of hides and while some were found straight away others took a more methodical search, ants had us tap footing at some locations and unlike a previous visit no snakes were seen today. Great effort a fav point for each one in the series, looking forward to finishing the sereis in the near future

My daughter and I felt like a walk and some caching, so we headed to the Jack Bobridge trail. This is one of the ones we found.

24-Dec-17
Had some time, whilst out this way, to do some walking to some of these.
Nice work on all the different hide types, didn't see too many duplicated hides/cammo. A couple were too good and DNFs resulted...

Headed out to Nuriootpa with sir_spectre and Rod81w to cache the day again. We had seen the weather reports so all came prepared with extra clothes. It is rare for us all the have a weekday off together and we weren't going to let weather reports predicting 50-100mm of rain dampen our caching spirits.

Headed out early this afternoon to walk part of the Jack Bobridge Trail and earn some more coins for the crew... as well as smileys of course!! We started off doing every second cache, so that could have some to find on the way back to the car. This has been an enjoyable geocaching trail so far, with a range of different hides to keep us guessing. TFTC 3LG... we look forward to headed back out soon to work our way through completing the series.

02-Jun-17
With the weather and Mrs Emilyangels health we always have an excuse not to get out, but after hearing so much about this trail we thought we would come up and get the driveby caches..... at the first stop we loved the trail, loved the flat ground, the views, the quietness.
So we hit the pavement in a chilly walk with the kids.
Caching is so much easier when the kids act normal , tonight was not one of them nights and our night ended with a broken GPS and 2 grazed boys after they learnt why people dont run while piggy backing each other.
Awesome night out thankyou, we look forward to doing the rest, very sneaky hides.

Picked up AnyMules from his salubrious car parking spot in the heart of the city and headed north for a rendezvous with Aussie M&M and mogni for a day's walking along the Jack Bobridge Trail. Cool
Wow. No: better than that...wowser wowser. Surprised This one proved to be that hardest to date. Not even the black magic voodoo mojo lady was having any success. GPS said I was in the right place but just couldn't see it until I changed elevation. Then, couldn't be...could it. Yep it is. [:o)] Best hide to date and I have already given away quite a few favourites. Smile Get another FP for this one too. In fact if I could give two FPs I would. What a great sneaky cache Twisted
Thanks 3LG for this cache and great series. Big Grin
