Out with cheezel1961 caching around the Barossa today. Came by this one for a nice findTFTC SL
Oh My, not sure what day number this is cache wise nor what caches I did yesterday, we have been caching for a while and the days and the caches seem to run into each other now. We started early today and had the Grapes geoart in mind, along with some special caches as we passed. It will be nice to hopefully have another art completed without any holes. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. I like this area and the caches were different in parts. Some nice puzzles to solve and some good placements. We thought we were going to be short on one cache but we ended up finding the bison on the ground. A quick tie up and all good to go. Thanks for the caches and the hides, sorry for the generic logs.
With the Adelaide mega event now a mild hangover past, it was time to collect interesting geo-art and cache types while the BOLD09 are based in Adelaide. Today's focus was the Barossa and to pick the grape geo-art.This is my second trip to the Barossa in the last 9 months. On my first visit I picked up a few of the Barossa Trail series and talked up the series enough that the BOLD09 got sick of my moaning and relented that we'd stop for 10ish caches as the attributes are needed for a challenge back in Brissy. Cherry picking the ones close to road intersections. This was a quick find.Well done LB for your efforts and making caching the main reason we should visit the Barossa!! Well not quite, the BOLD09 did visit a winery later in the day just before knock off time.
GC6MW2R Barossa Trail #16A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane for the leap year mega event. This is my last full day in Adelaide so we decided to tackle all those grapes we had solved and pick up various other caches in the area. To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. However 2 more have joined our team. So BOLD9 today it is.I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more.TFTC LB
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD9 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 9 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
BOLD9 headed out to the Barossa to pick some grapes plus a few others! Thanks for all the fab caches
I was in Adelaide for the Mega and came across this series. I was out caching with a group of friends (BOLD9), and this was one that we found. I liked this series, and it would've been excellent to do on a bike or scooter, but unfortunately, we only had a car, so we couldn't get the entire series. Thanks for the cache, I have so many logs to do that I have to complete bulk logs, all caches were in good condition unless noted.
Out and about collecting more smilies.Today we will be doing the grapes geoart and other caches in the Barossa Valley. Signed with Leap mega team nickname BOLD9. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.
Found after attending the Gawler Greetings event earlier in the morning, deciding to tackle a few local caches while in the area. Really enjoyed the challenging hides along this series. Parked at various access points, walked the trail, and moved along as the morning progressed. Thanks for the cache LB!
Did a day trip Sandy Creek to make a start on the Barossa Trail between Gawler and Lyndoch, also getting others along the way. All caches were in good condition unless mention otherwise. Park the vehicle at Sandy Creek and took the scooter for a ride. Thanks to LiB for their very creative caches some took a bit of finding. TFTC
Today's goal was to have a nice ride and enjoy coffee and cake somewhere. Finding a few caches along the way would be a bonus.
Found it! Was out in the open, Im assuming the magnets arent strong enough as I tried to place in the logical hiding spot and couldnt get it to stay. #248 TFTC!
Out and about with sandelf. Gps was on the wrong side of the path but it was obvious where it actually was. TFTC
I'd heard this one had been replaced so as I was doing more of the series today I made a quick stop to sign the log.
A very chilly start to the day.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 41. Mid North section of SA trip Day 12. Barossa Valley Day 4. I left Nuriootpa today for Gawler. It was not far, so I got up early and did a bit of local caching before checkout time. Once I had the van hooked on, I went into town for a few caches and a chat to SnappyTomCats at their very impressive shop. After morning tea, I headed off to Gawler and setup even though I was a bit early. The afternoon was spent on the Barossa trail caches, and wow, I thought some of the NTA trail caches were impressive. Some of these were just plain difficult, to the extent I missed a good handful of them. Oh well, it was a fun day and I enjoyed the challenge.
I saw where I think it used to be attached.
Thanks.

Day seventeen of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
With Sunday's crappy weather all finished, we set of on the deadly treadlies to complete some more of the Barossa Trail. We drove to Lyndoch, and then rode to the start of the trail then back to the Bakery at Lyndoch for lunch.
After lunch we did a few more back towards Rowland Flat, and then a few odd ones.
A nice collection of caches, and a great ride.
If you have a container with no lid, this is probably one of the best hides.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19349. Day 17 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. After a miserable day weather-wise yesterday it was back to the bicycles today with the hope of making a big dent in the Barossa Trail caches. We parked at Lyndoch and rode towards Gawler - starting at #40 and gathering all that were available until we finished at #1. 2 1/2 hours to do that and another 1/2 hour to ride back for our lunch stop. After lunch we did a few more before returning to base at Tanunda. A great day's ride and so many interesting cache hides.
A good hide here. All good with the log book, however the container is missing its lid. Not really an issue though.
Thanks LíB

Another beautiful winters day in the Barossa out caching with iluvtrekking. This is the type of hides we prefer - rural roads and lanes. Thanks LiB
I recently completed one cache find in each 360 degrees from home location challenge. I have now decided to continue and aim for five finds in each of the 360 degrees. Today I was targeting specific caches in missing cells for this challenge and a few solved mysteries along the way.
A great day of sunshine and a bunch of high quality caches made for a very enjoyable day.
Thanks for the cache LíB.

After doing some AF caches in Mt Crawford Forest, I decided to have look at few of the Barossa Trail caches. Nice flat terrain for a change. Of the 8 I found, all were interesting. As Freddo says, I love your work. Thanks LiB.
Out on the Barossa Trail today during a break in the weather picking up a few more caches. Today we found #16 - 40 and a few other caches.
25 finds for today and 1 DNF.
A bunch of great hides and vast majority in good condition.
TFTC Lib!

A return to my favourite powertrail; you never know what will come up next. Thanks LíB.
Found it! A great little hiding spot for a cache. Thankfully the spider is dead.
Today I decided to go for a walk and do some of the Jack bobridge trail on foot, off I set from #10 through to #36, total of 11km return. Some of the caches were tough to find others a lot easier, it appeared once I got the hang of the hides they became easier to located.
All the caches found are in good condition.
Thanks for the cache.v

Day 440 ( Wednesday 11th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Greenock today. Going to finish off the Barossa trail run we started last time we were here. TFTC
Finally… Sunday. I am excited, a full day of caching, wherever I want to go. I woke at 4.30am eager as, tempted but needed more kip. I then slept through to 7, simply refuse to set an alarm on the weekend, so much for the early start. Packed the car and headed north, woohoo. Low lying fog all over the low lands.
I started on Twartz rd then did the meat trail by push bike. Slipped through Gawler and hit the start of the Barossa Trail. I need a good bunch on the western end, and a smattering of missed ones in the middle. I still had a few misses, but chuffed at turning my previous frowns into smileys. The day finished on the bike at Jacobs Creek complex, when the sun decided to fade. It was time to head home for some pasta, wine and to log the days finds.
I tried a new technique today of recording personal notes rather than logging in the field (LITF) so save some daylight time during caching.
A recently repaired cache. This was where I thougth #1 was going to be. Quick extraction and sign. Love you work, cache on. whats next...

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Had escaped the WFH thing for the day and was heading to the next job in the area. Saw was going to pass close by this one and just had to stop. Parked nearby and wandered to GZ an laid fingers on the cache in the first place I felt. Gotta love that. Stamped the log and replaced. now onto the next Job or cache whichever comes first.

Thanks, LíB for your considerable efforts on these bike tracks. Hopefully, we will be able to return one day to complete them. This is our last day of caching in SA before racing back to the West before the borders close.
This cache was found on our Geocaching road trip from Perth to Millicent for the now-cancelled, GeoVenture2020 Event.

A new year so lets go out and find some caches
Thought this was going to be a power trail.
I sure got that wrong.
This was tough if you are going out for a bike ride picking up a few caches along the way.
Some very clever hides along the way.
I have just got a new bike to replace the one I use to go to the train station and back for work and wanted to take it iout for a spin.
So this was more about picking up a few caches along the way and enjoying the ride.
I spent less than 2 minutes at each spot and I didnt come up with many finds between Roland flat and Lyndock given how good the hides were.
A lovely dy for a cycle but as usual everything is shut down on a public holiday in the barrossa.
That is one great track.
