Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Now only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Back around Canberra and doing some side trips.TFTC. A return trip from Oberon to Goulburn with 60 caches including a CITO, 2 ECs, a multi and many interesting trads. Firstly along the highway and then through the pine forest plantation tracks. Amazing scenery with lots of deer, emus, roos and rabbits.Nice quick find
Reperio 10:12Today I had the day off, so decided to spend it along the TRLT series from Hazelgrove through Edith and Gingkin to Mount David. High winds throughout the day made things a bit tricky with signing logs and keeping zip lock bags from flying away, but almost all caches were found in good health, with only a few DNFs, and a few that need maintenance. As I was working from an offline list, I ended up revisiting a few caches I had previously logged due to the list not being updated. All in all it was a great day out.Gratias alnic39As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
We went for a little drive to grab a bite to eat and a cache for the souvenir. Thanks for the cache alnic.
First of six finds after two hours at Jenolan Caves, TFTC. With a punctured car tyre replaced. Supervising youngest teenager on L-plate country driving practice all day.
Visiting from NZ and enjoying a trip through the Blue Mountains. Great scenery and some quaint towns along the way. This one of a few caches we found after an intersting trip to the Jenolan Caves.TFTC
We were headed to Kanangra Walls from Oberon and had time to do some of this TRLT series. A very quiet road which was sealed. Some very pleasant scenery to enjoy. Thank you Alnic39 for placing these caches
Caves are shut but cache is findable.
Bastard point was the weather! ??
I had a very wet 30 second trek through pools of water
Need to change shoes & socks
Thanks for the adventure and the cache

Our inspecting landslide damage on 2 mile. I have a hole in my yearly grid that needed filling so stopped here on way out. Some heavy frost on ground, or is it remnants of snow. Either way nice and cold. Thanks for placing.
We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.
Today we will be continuing our travels on some more of "the roads less travelled" to collect some more of the TRLT cache series, and also any other caches we come across along the way. Yesterday we travelled roads to the East & North of Oberon, and today we will be travelling South towards Gingkin. This was our 15th find of the day (day 6), and 116th find of the holiday.
This one was next, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at the road intersection and then GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC alnic39.

Had a weekend away in Oberon with my oldest gremlinkid. Picked up this GC after leaving Bathurst to go home via Jenolan Caves. Was an easy find - TFTC!
After spending a few days at Jenolan we are heading home today & picking up a few caches along the way. First find of the day. TFTC alnic39
Day 3
With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild. Our intention was to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area.
We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure. Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide alnic39 and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.
Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for their efforts.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Hahaha love the road name !!! How on earth did they get that approved !!
Thanks for the hide alnic39 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Today I have planned my adventure tour along the TRLT trail from Oberon and am heading south.
On the way I search and find a lot of boxes.
Again and again I am happy about the beautiful landscape and the many animals on the pastures.
Thanks to all owners for this great tour

I wonder if the Bastard did get the Point!?! A crack up road name, who on earth named the road this, and the Point if it exists. A nice quick find. Signed the log with our caching names or some scrambled form of *TOC, DJJ, LP* or even attached a cache name sticker, and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.

Floating around while the others use their amazing skills to search for the cache - usually it's me snooping around for the find. Log signed and replaced and the scene evacuated TFTC
Heading somewhere unknown but stopping for caches on our way. We walked around and looked around the trees hoping not to see any snakes None seen today *phew*! Thanks for the hide. ️️ OCW *Throsbyonchurch* with *Little Panther* in the mix. ️
An interesting bit of history about the area. In that sense, this is not a power trail because there is something to be learned here.
I think we approached this one from the other end, i.e., coming from the west and south, if I remember correctly. However, I did see the name on the map and remarked to my missus that it was a rather amusing name.
We were heading back to Sydney along back roads coming from Dingo Dell camp site. I have not ventured out here in the past, so it was lovely to see this part of the world west of Sydney and over the Great Dividing Range. Apparently, this is where the "real Australia" starts, according to someone we know who lives out in regional Australia. I love the hinterland, so I'm sure I'll be out this way again sometime. And then I'll probably try and pick up a few more caches again -- today we drove past quite a number and only stopped for the occasional one along the way.
All was good with the cache. Signed log and returned everything as found.

A plan was hatched, for a group of Canberra (and one Goulburn) Geocachers to stay overnight in Bathurst on a Saturday night and cache our way there and back - mainly doing some of The Road Less Travelled series, and anything else interesting that we were near. So, on Friday afternoon All7 and I met up with Cosmonaut97, who drove us out to Goulburn where we stayed the night with MinnieK (thanks for the hospitality), and then DarkSideDan arrived in the morning and we crammed all our gear into the back of the Cosmonaut Geomobile, all 5 of us climbed in, and we embarked upon our adventure - and what a fun weekend we had! Lots of laughs, some interesting terrain to drive through, and a whole lot of cache finds - so, sorry - most of these logs will be rather generic ... (and also rather late, because I am only just catching up with all the logging now - oops)
Logs were signed as CGG19 by at least a couple of people, or possibly CGC19 by me, because that is what I have written in my notebook (except for the first one I signed, which I think I signed GGC19) ... so I guess our group name was Canberra Goulburn Geocachers, or Canberra Goulburn Cachers, or whatever else anyone else signed - lol)
TFTC - I didn't write draft logs for any of these, because it was too difficult to keep up with that as we went ... and with all the caches we found this weekend - in most cases I don't remember which bit of fun was which particular cache. I did write a few words in my note book for some of them, so I will include those below if I did.
(Unfortunately, if I don't just copy and paste the same log for all these, and try to go through my photos or something, or read the listing and get creative, to figure out different things to write, I will never be able to catch up with my logging, and I don't like being behind).
Nice scribbles
[yes, I actually do take photos of scribbles on Scribbly gums, lots of photos ... I like Scribbly gum scribbles]

This was find #40 of our geocaching weekend. I had the pleasure of completing this adventure with ALL7, minniek, Darksidedan and AyKayEm. Thank you to all of the COs who initiated this track and those who maintain it. TFTC.
Signed CGG19 with Group.. We enjoy drive everywhere and good Laugh... She is very good drive with 4WD.... thanks
Out caching with Cosmanaut97, ALL7, DARKSIDEDAN & Aykayem with an aim to do as many as we could on TRLT series. Signed logs as CGG19 to save space (Canberra Goulburn Group 2019).
Had a long and tiring day finding everything on our list for the day. Thank you to all CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining the caches for others to find.
Look forward to continuing the trail when I can.

Greetings from DARKSIDEDAN.
Today I went on a caching trip and managed to get 113 caches in a day. Your cache was one of the 113 caches that I signed CGG19 as part of our group signature for the four geocchers in our group. We saw loads of wildlife on our trip including 6 Wombats and loads of Roos.
Here is a little about me. At the time of this “Found It” log I have over 6750 finds and 350 Hides. I was the creator of the “Ducky Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Prize in the State Vs State Battle of the Labs during the OzGeoMuster – The Gong 2019. I am the owner of the largest GeoArt Series in the ACT and winner of countless Geocaching Prizes.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
* * * * * I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the 20th of April 2019 my average is 110 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 5500 aches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated. * * * * *

OCW frazeydaze. Today was all about the numbers. Having found the gems that were stolen from the Museum we now had to return the gems to the Museum by finding 35 caches to access the lock to the vault. Being at Blackheath for the weekend we thought that the easiest way to do that was to tackle a section of TRLT.
Starting at Duckmaloi at 10 and finishing at Jaunter at 5, with a slight detour to the Jenolan Caves to grab some lunch, we travelled many back roads through forests of pine and gum trees, saw spectacular sceenery and generally had a fun day.
Frazeydaze even saw a few wombats in the wild for the first time.
All caches were in good condition and a big thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches.

Out caching with oldmorty finding more of TRLT. Found another 52 today. Thanks alnic39 for placing this cache here for us to find.
This was our fourth day on this super long geocaching trail, and so first thing this morning we set off to where we had pulled out of the trail yesterday evening. The weather was perfect and once again we found ourselves travelling through some truly beautiful scenic countryside on interesting roads. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We were also very glad to have found this one with it being placed over 1,100 meters of elevation and thus a qualifier for the NSW Altitude Sickness Challenge cache. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the interesting information on the cache page. Greetings from Zimbabwe

From November 5th to November 30th I studied English at ILSC in Sydney. After these month I rent a car for traveling and driving to Melbourne because my return flight is from Melbourne. The plan for the weekend was to visit the Jenolan Caves. The Lucas Cave on Saturday afternoon and the Diamont&Imperial Cave on Sunday morning. After the Lucas Tour I had some time before dinner so that I went around for caching.
I found the box quickly.
Thanks for the cache from Bonn, Germany

After visiting the nearby Jenolan caves we though we may as well clear out as many as we can, at least until the kids give up and get cranky. As it turns out, the eldest geodaughter was super keen just to keep caching and caching, it was the geowife and the other geodaughter that finally pulled up stumps.
Hmmm, it was tempting to turn off and go this direction for a while, but Oberon waits for us!

Stephlego, Alstony1, Willpunkey, Scoob snd I and all the kids went to Jenolan caves and on. the way back it started snowing I took the opportunity to grab my first cache in the snow. TFTC
interesting history again at this cache, I'm thinking the fence the cattle jumped over can't have been too high else they would have just foraged outside. Who knows, it was a while back after all. A few cars went past just as I was heading into the treeline here, wonder what they thought I was up to. Practiced a little more CITO before moving onto the next cache.
I took the different way back to caves road – nicely found – thanks - TFTC / TFTH / SL
Interesting story, but you do wonder about the road name, don't you? Beautiful scribbly gums. TFTC alnic.
#7838 - 15:50; Day two of the summer sojourn in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney and today a trip to Jenolan Caves was the order of business. Made our way down to the caves from Leura after breakfast in Katoomba on the way through. I was surprised at the speed limits as we made our way along the Great Western Highway, but they were certainly appropriate given the nature of the roads. After an interesting tour of the Orient Cave, we headed towards Oberon, stopping for this cache along the way. I'll try to allow more time next trip through to collect the rest in this series. TFTC alnic39
A beautiful day to go caching with it being neither too hot or too cold. We had a little drizzle as can be expected in the Blue Mountains. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. We loved the scenery and findng the caches in this series. We saw lots of black cockatoos today and one black snake who was blissfully unaware of us as it was soaking up the sun. We are based at Lake Wallace near Lithgow for a few days and check out this area. It has been several years since we last visited. Thanks to alnic39 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Streak Day #1638 - Decided to start this power trail to go towards a milestone of 5000 for the OZ Geomuster this easter.

Day 3 of our trip away. Stayed in oberon last night and thought we would head back to Goulburn to collect a few more smiley faces. Thankyou for the cache .
The continuation of The Road Less Travelled called us today, so we took up the offer of some more smiley faces for our caching map. We do apologise for the generic log to each of the cache owners. All the caches were easy to locate and our name was written on each log book before it was put back into place. Then we were able to move on to the next find. Thanks to alnic39 for being a part of TRLT series caching experience.
