Due to other commitments I cannot reconstruct and replace this in a reasonable timeframe so it is with sadness that it will be archived, a new cache will be placed in the area again at a later date to fill the space
Due to spending extra time creating lab caches for the mega this one had been moved down the to do list. It is a tricky container to reproduce and not a 5 minute job so will try and have it back up soon. If I cant do it within the next fortnight I will archive it to keep our reviewer happy.
Sadend to see cache has gone missing will see if I can make a new one in a reasonable time frame
We felt very exposed here to the nearby traffic.
Despite a good search however we came away empty handed.
Thanks anyway 4bait.
Chiefton!!!

Not another dnf, amaali and I again spent a bit of time on this one, we were disappointed but it's the journey isn't.

Greytiger and I had no joy with this welcome. Spent a bit of time on this one to no avail but onto new adventures
High muggle area on a beautiful sunny Sunday... Lots of peeps popping in to local Bunnings 4 DIY things, some supporting the BBQ, some going to the local park, Karkarook.
We were tht we had to log this as a DNF. We will have 2 return later.

Arrrgh...we spent so long here..we searched, read previous logs, searched more, RE-read logs.
But just could not find it. Gave up after about 45 minutes.
Maybe another day

Ah nothing like a second visit, this time with fresh brain! Found with zero spiders. Dammit! Now I wish I had a plastic beastie to put there... or did I? No I didn't... Seriously I didn't. OMG I'm not lying!
Nice hide that I spotted quickly, this was not the case for the rest of my day. Thanks for maintaining this cache
I had been for a wander around the park with Z, H & K taking in a few caches along the way. My app didn't show that this cache had been re-enabled, so I was rather blindly searching away. I managed to miss the nicely constructed hide but luckily Z, H & K didn't and we were soon adding our names to the log. Once I got home I saw this cache appear in the app! TFTC
I wonder if we were the only ones to find this today... it was showing active on c:geo but not on the official app... So Lost and Found 79 was flying blind on this one but we thought we knew where it would be. Love this construction - it has been engineered so well and fits seamlessly into its surroundings.
Working out in the garden preparing three new garden beds and then out to get a load of very good looking soil in the old ute.
I was going to spend Sunday shoveling soil but that all changed with a call from my very good caching mates the suscoe cachers.
Would I like to join with them on another trip to Melbourne to grab a few more caches as we have found most in and around Geelong.
Well how could you refuse an offer like that so here we are at this cache on a lovely Sunday afternoon.
We were a little concerned before we arrived but the eagled eyed suscoe soon spied this guy.

Suscoe decided that we should have a big Sunday drive today and so we prepared our tour of the local caches and got our good mate Bushfire along for the adventure with us.
We headed off bright and early, a cloudy start to the day but then approaching Melbourne the sun came out and for most of the day it continued to shine brightly on us. We got back home around 5:00 pm with a good collection of finds to record.
Thanks to 4bait for this hide, a clever one and we were pleased to find it fairly quickly.
A favourite for your inventive work.

Found it with kangas11
The weather was not bad. Luck not heavy raining all the time.
I have seen it before in Perth.
Very neat one and great hide.
fav from me

Accompanied with crank1 for the caching day in Keysborough/Moorabbin area. Nice and found. Thanks 4bait for the cache.
Almost forgot we stopped here briefly. My device stubbornly refused to lock onto satellites and was clearly 100+ metres out, so hadn't the foggiest idea where I was supposed to be. All the more reason to move on to the nightcache, where GPS wouldn't be needed, at least initially! I vow to return when Savers next lures me into the neighbourhood. Thanks 4bait!
Today I was out to gain some points for the Planetary Pursuit series of souvenirs, so I was targetting highly favourited caches, multis, and solved puzzles. Unfortunately, I loaded my GPS before adding the puzzles, so they will need to wait for another day. This was my first find for the day. And while it was quickly spotted, the CO has done a great job of camouflaging it. I can see why it has so many favourites. (And it gets another from me).
My thanks to 4bait for the cache.

Finally! A smiley after at least 6 attempts with the geokids and a hint from the owner. Thanks 4bait, great cache!
Decided on a stroll after work and came to this area foe a few caches. Nicely hidden. Thanks to 4bait for placing this cache.
spending the day out with ozhockeychick and papi4506, perfect weather to go find a few caches and to get me closer to 3500 finds. TFTC
A couple of us noticed this straight away but a couple didn't. Clever hide. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Out caching in a nice little group and one member had already done this one. She insisted that we do it as she thought it was great. We were not disappointed. Great cache. Love the ones hidden in plain sight. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Pretty hard to be stealthy here. Was only slightly out of place... read out a previous log to GeowifeE and thay was all she needed to find the cache. Fantastic hide this one.
Ooh what a sneaky hide! Very clever. Only looked very slightly out of place! Thanks!
Ahh holidays.
Muggle hubby decided to tag along while geo-kid was occupied elsewhere. After a nice stroll, which included a quick stop to show him The Dragonfly, we were at gz. Divide and conquer, he was the one to fond the cache.
Nicely done!
Thanks

What a clever cache! I looked thoroughly at every likely spot for this cache and even tried the cache to no avail. After reading previous logs I tried it a again with a bit more oomph and I had it! Thanks for the clever cache..
Been here before and this cache has been tormenting me since the day I started work right across the road. But, it turned out I had been looking on the wrong side.
I hit a slight speed bump when I was absolutely sure I had found the cache, waited for all the muggle traffic to die down and went for it! Then I hit a downer because there's no log book. Was I wrong? I'm thinking about packing it in because I have to be at work... But there, the log book had appeared, falling out of my attempts. Joy! Log signed and off to work, on time!

Another beautiful evening for a walk and some caching...returning to an Area I had started awhile ago to do a few more. Arrived at coordinates and soon spotted a likely spot. TFTC
From the scratch marks on the back of the sign, i think it may have been here? I felt very exposed so I didn't hang around to look further. It's a pity the road users have left such a mess.
Sadly a DNF find here today. Maybe our cache eyes were tuned in. Had a good search.
First cache for the day for G of GJMMelb and me. I had spotted it fairly quickly, but couldn't get it out and dismissed it. It wasn't until G tried, and then both of us together that we were able to remove the container. Nicely hidden! TFTC
Found by Lochb and I while on a caching run this afternoon. We had a target of caches which had been found already by our usual caching partner Quiet1_au, who was many miles away. On arrival at Gz there were two objects of interest and Lochb picked the right one. She correctly identified something not right however we could not remove it. With persistence we got it out and confirmed it as the cache. Very well constructed. Thanks 4bait

Oh wait - there it is!! No that's not it... hang on a minute - yes it is! What a cool cache. Thanks for this cleverly constructed cache which fits so perfectly you wouldn't suspect a thing... unless of course you're a geocacher. TFTC
Legoman9x found what was the cache container but he had a time getting it out. There was so much traffic that I pretended I was taking photos of legoman9x by the entrance who looked like a tourist visiting this park for his first time while he was actually fiddling with the cache.
Nice hide, so sneaky. Tftc.

Found with Winniethebear. Was on the money straight away, but due to the amount of force required to remove, I left it. After checking other areas, I kept coming back and applying more force. Eventually we deduced that it had to be it and with some cover and acting we got the cache. TFTC.
Catching up with Happy pants and omegaman1971 to attend a nearby event and then to have a day out caching. A nice hide found here.
Thanks 4bait for placing the cache for us to find.

After attending the Annual International Geocaching Day Event we explored South Springvale and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. This took a while but Mr "T" came up with the goods and adding to our favourites.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Such nice weather for a winter's day, so I got the deadly treadly out and set off for Karkarook Park and the nearby bike trail. The car parks were chockers! they must have stocked the lake with fish - fishing muggles everywhere. Not a good sign for caching! Fortunately, most of the caching areas were empty.
Parked the car and unloaded the deadly treadly. This was my first cache for the day - it seemed fitting.
A very nice hide - portents of hides to come.
Thanks, Robmc.

Out and about on this freezing day with echidna44. Having decided just to walk around this fantastic area to enjoy some caching, chatting and scenery. This was a real challenge. Thinking that we know where it was but just did not have the strength to get to it. I now have to admit that I am short and weak. We will return to finish of the area and its well worth the visit. Thanks 4bait anyway
In Oakleigh for work this afternoon but made the most of grabbing a cache or two in the area. Boy this is a busy intersection but luckily l managed to get a hand on this one in a minute or two. Very nicely done 4bait, great hide!
CaptainCooper09 was with me today, out and about hunting for caches. It was a bit cold and a little windy, and we even got caught in a few showers during the day, but we were well rugged up.
It's been quite a while since I've been to Karkarook Park. I was glad to come back as all the caches we found here were fantastic.
This cache certainly had us scratching our heads for a while. I finally found the cache and Coops exclaimed 'No way !' when I showed him.
A fav for us.

This was the final of four caches in the western half of Karkarook Park I found on a mini-circuit this morning, though actually the first one I'd attempted to find.
Whilst having a bit of a poke around (and not paying enough attention to anyone potentially approaching whilst doing so), I was startled when someone was suddenly standing next to me and asking if I was looking for something... Fortunately this turned out to be the CO, who'd parked over at Bunnings and was planning to do a maintenance check when he saw me mooching about GZ.
After a bit of a chat about caching generally and various previously-found hides in the area that the CO and his family had placed, I decided to head off for a walk and try a couple of other caches I'd DNF-d on last visit, while 4bait did his check-up in peace. (He kindly offered to show me the hide, but having been given one hint to narrow the search field down a bit was keen to locate it myself.)
So expecting to be gone for maybe ten or fifteen minutes at most, it was more like three quarters of an hour before I returned, having managed to find Dragonfly, Three Billy Goats Gruff and Get Reel in the meantime. With renewed confidence from my little string of finds I set to looking again, and this time it was the work of a minute or two at most to finally notice something possibly didn't quite add up... and yes, there it was.
Which should have been the end of it, but with logbook in hand it turned out my pen was now completely dry, and I couldn't actually sign... So having put the hide back in place, I had to return to the car for another pen (fortunately there was one...), then back once more to GZ to retrieve and sign the log.
Thanks for another excellent and well-crafted cache, 4bait.

it helped when we looked up and then down.

On my way home from a Canada Day event down in Mordialloc, a great morning for pancakes by the beach.
Stopped for a walk in this park and to grab a cache or two with my good friend Riddell.
Very nice hide, reminds me a little of a Dog-gone cache I found somewhere north of here a long time back...

A very clever hide......sure I checked that spot more than once!! Busy corner but the "old pretend phone call" allowed me plenty of time to scope things out. Still took quite a while though. Definitely deserving of a favourite.
Found 10:25, a required find to finalise our Double Calendar Challenge requirements.
TNLN, thanks 4bait

That was a tricky hide. Luckily I have seen that type before. Took a bit to find it but I wasn't tricked.
The Geokids wouldn't of found it on their own.

Out for a walk and to pick up some caches in this great park on a fantastic sunny winters day. This was our first cache for the day and when we arrived at GZ there was another young duo already searching without luck, so we joined in. It wasn't long before Mr Pooky made the find. A very clever hide and a favourite from us. TFTC.
Needed some help from a lovely couple but finally found it. A sneaky little cache, a hint might have come in handy. Searched for a solid half hour very cleverly hidden.
Struggled for a good 20 minutes until some fellow cachers started searching too. Definitely would not have found it without the help! TFTC
Thanks 4bait! This took way too long & ouch!bitey ants nest insidefound with Jimmytherat with a little help from quiet1.
Great work. Fab camo. A favorite for your efforts.
Great work. Fab camo. A favorite for your efforts.
TFTC 4bait. Clever clever. Nearly gave it away as a DNF but found in the end, Full of ants and ants eggs which we removed. A fav. 2nd for this lovely sunny, cool day. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Good hide. Out for a morning of caches whilst in Melbourne for a few weeks. Excited for this area to walk around and enjoy the day. TFTC
A pretty quick find. it took two looks to spot the very clever cache. I can understand how this one would be missed. A very good used of the surrounds TFTC
After another DNF with the dragon fly this was a very well hidden and Constructed surprise. tftc
Nice second find for the day! Reading the previous activity was a help. Agree with earlier post.. almost thought we'd broken it!!

With the rest of the family embarking on their usual Good Friday activity (baking Hot Cross Buns by the dozen), I figured the holiday was too good an opportunity to waste, and headed off into the southern suburbs to find a nice walk... and, of course, a cache or so.
I'd parked a little down the road at a memorial, so this seemed a good spot to start. It took a few minutes before I hit on the idea that put the log in my hand. A crafty hide indeed, 4bait... It was only comparing features that gave it away.

Came out here one day and found a few caches and returned the day after with stinky tom and stinky bob.
We found some really cool caches including this one which took us quite a while to find. Nearly gave up before finally spotting something out of place.
Thanks 4bait!!

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. This may or may not become easier now that I have found a job but I’m still currently staying with my brother (stinky tom) and his family which includes my nephew (stinky bob).
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work. Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook.

There have been a few more caches published in Karkarook Park since my last visit, so I decided a visit was in order. Pulling up in the car park, I set off across to GZ. There was a bit of traffic about, so a fake phone call was the order of the day as I surveyed the likely looking spots. Noticing something, I waited for the traffic lights to change and then it was time to see. What do you know, it was it. What an excellent hide and a favourite point for this one - top job.
Thanks to 4bait for the cache.

Went into this area for a geo caching mission with Kmannz and the young stinky bob.
Nearly gave up on this one, but it always feel good when you do find caches this good. TFTC

I happened to be needed in Highett to see a patient and arrived early.....I was close enough to this park's well renowned caches so I dashed over for a quick search. I was very happy my geosenses were turned on for this one - I had a fiddle around and managed to locate it before moving back to cover to open and sign. TFTC 4bait - a fantastic camo job and a favourite point from me.
Find #3157
After work on a Friday and I had a busy caching morning so was really pleased when I still had time to divert to Karkarook Park and check out a few more. This was my second find of three here and after a success nearby I walked on to this one. I had received an unexpected hint via a social media platform some weeks before but even having a good idea where it was it was tricky to get that prized access to the log. Very nice work indeed! Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache 4bait. This one earns a favourite point from me.

We'd been past last week but with only phones we couldn't quite narrow down our search area enough so went away with a DNF. Today we walked right up to within 1m, I noticed something a little different and in no time at all we had the cache and log book in hand. TFTC.
After a DNF a week ago returned with accurate GPS today that took us right to GZ. It had to be here, and sure enough with the right touch the cache was revealed. An FP for the clever construct. TFTC
It was a really nice night tonight so as soon as I got home from work I headed out on the bike for a ride over to Moorabbin area. Managed to grab a nice healthy Hungry Jacks dinner while I was out as well.
I headed across the park on my bike and stopped at the gate, it was getting closer to dark on a week night so it was pretty quiet on Warrigal Rd but today I surprisingly noticed something a little different very quickly (that doesn't happen often) and it was the cache. Never seen one quite like that. Excellent stuff, I'm giving it a favourite.
Thanks 4bait for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

#1978 Down in this area to try again at this (and Dragonfly) which we were previously DNF'd on. This really had us frustrated as we'd had a really good look here. In the end had to PAF and even with a gentle hint I nearly had to give up again. This is a really great designed and constructed hide and very worthy of the favourites it's accumulated. Well done and thanks 4bait, a fav pt from us too.
Kids and I spent a frustrating 20 minutes searching every nook and cranny of this area. Next time.
A quick stopover at Bunnings for some supplies on the way past here and as we were parked so near this cache, we walked to it and put our name in the log.
Thanks you 4bait for another cache here in this great park. A favourite added by Petal.

We looked for about 10 minutes, but realized we were too pressed for time to look any more. Much like a nearby cache, we'll return here at some point.

10:30, 4 Jan 17, Find # 119, Out for a day caching with my daughter Ali and Sezzy2683 on her side of town. This one had us looking high and low, in and around and Sezzy said she has been here previously and had difficulty finding it then. We looked and looked and re read the other found logs and still no luck so we had to resort to a PAF to a friend of mine. Not long after a hint and it was in our hands.. Great hide, very tricky. SL TFTC.
With i being the first proper day of the school holidays after xmas and new year, we headed out nice and early to add a few smilies to our map.
This one had us stumped until a quick PAF gave us a clue and Master 7 gasped as he found the secret cache. Very sneaky!

With the phone battery at 15% we needed to work fast to get this one. The geokids climbed high and low and really enjoyed searching for this one.
Thank you 4bait for checking on this cache. I came by this morning for another look and subsequent find. Third time lucky. Glad for the smiley face on this. Fantastic camo and will give it a favorite even though I dislike how open this area is to the public. TFTC
Checked today cache is still in place. But please note it can get put back tightly and may need strong hands to remove.
Came by tonight for a second look for this cache but still no luck. On a walk towards another cache in the park I did message a friend who gave a fairly good tip so went back and had another look. Nah, not tonight. Thinking that it may be missing as there was some evidence of a possible hiding place but nothing. Will keep an eye on this one and will try again. Thanks anyway.
Urgh searched for it high and low. Wriggled the logs around just could not find it.
That was a good one... tried it, didn't feel right, kept looking, came back and decided to try harder... found it...
Good one! Liked it!
