Day thirty of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Spent the day traveling from Nelson to Picton.Sunny all day.Walked around the Airport at Nelson before we left, and did a few AdLabs.Had dinner in Picton then did some more caches.A very busy muggles sort of spot. Waiting a while gave us a clean break.Lady Morris found this one. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 30 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we decided to leave Nelson a day early and be in Picton for the ferry instead of an early morning dash. After arriving on a beautiful sunny day we wandered around town for a bit. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday
Log book full so couldn't find. Very picturesque spot to oversee the busy harbourtown of Picton
I was a few metres out but got it in thecebd tftc needs new log this one is full tftc

After many, many hours of flying, a passage through China on the way there and through the United States of America on the way back, we will finally arrive in Christchurch which will be the starting point of our journey. We will enjoy the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and we will go back towards the North Island via State Highway 1. To combine business with pleasure, we will take regular breaks and small detours according to the caches that seem the most accessible to us.With a little more than 3500 km in 20 days, we will have discovered many facets of this island which is soothing. We will have to come back because there are so many places that we have not done ??. In broad strokes, the path will go from Christchurch to the Kaikoura Peninsula then towards Picton for the crossing to Wellington.New island, new road, and by State Highway 2 we go towards Hastings and Napier. We will leave the seaside for several days to go to Tongariro and Taupo. We will continue north towards Rotorua and Hamilton (without forgetting a detour via Hobbiton ??) A detour to the Coromandel Peninsula and finally the almost north of the island with Whangarei and Waitangi to learn the history of this country. There will only be a few days left to spend towards Auckland and its suburbs before taking the plane back to the grayness of our European autumn. The majority of the boxes will be found, we have abandoned those where our English was lacking and where we could not understand the clue. Thanks to all the owners who brightened up our path, who took us to incredible places (that's also geocaching)In short, we had a great vacation, saw beautiful places that simply ask us to come back. We learned a lot about the history of this country and its traditions, it's a great motivation for our destinations.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Petit log en retard mais un peu plus complet maintenant que nous sommes rentrs la maison. Armed with jandals and a chilly bin, a couple of Aussies headed across the ditch for a 3-week tiki tour, exploring the beauty of New Zealand.DAY 6: A ferry across to the South Island (Picton), then Nelson via Queen Charlotte Drive.A quick find while GT37 was busy chatting with some locals. Thanks for showing us this special place by placing this cache, GH6710 tn koe~~
Having just arrived in Picton, it was straight off the ferry and into geocaching mode!I've been meaning to come up this way many times while traveling through, but never seem to have the time. Today we had plenty of time! There were muggles near by who did not seem in a hurry to move, so I had to grab it and return it very stealthily.Such beautiful views from up here. Thanks for putting a cache here
Day #4 Blenheim to Nelson - The Mega New Zealand ExperienceA chance for an overseas Mega was too good to pass up. Especially with half the state seeming to be attending also. I set about some last minute planning.? Flights still available? Accommodation found? Mode of transport securedLooks like its time to cross the ditch. Ive never visited the South Island before so it is bound to be a fun filled trip. After a lovely stop in Blenheim overnight (with a bonus wood fireplace!), it was off to Nelson today via Picton. My location was a little off, but I soon found it thanks to the hint due to an influx of muggles.A big thanks goes to GH6710 for taking the time to add Queen Charlotte Drive - Ferry View (Marlborough) to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. Yesterday we drove from Fox Glacier to Greymouth. Today we are already heading to our next desination which is Picton. Since it is not a very long drive we arrived rather early in Picton which gave us time for some sightseeing and geocaching. On our tour we also visited this cache. After reading the hint the cache was quickly retrieved. After logging we enjoyed the beautiful view. Thank you very much for this cache.
On our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we travel from Greymouth to Picton. We visited a number of caches along the way and when we arrived there was still plenty of time for a cache tour around the hotel. This cache was found during our walk around the hotel in Picton.**GH6710**, thanks for the cache.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the ferry via Marlborough Sonds to Picton and then the bus from Picton to Blenheim. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.

Fourth day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.Today we took the ferry to the South Island. When we arrived in Picton, we had to wait for our bus to arrive to take us onwards. This gave us a little time to explore the town and look for a few caches. The virtual had lured us to the viewpoint, so it was clear that we would also look for the tradi. You are less conspicuous in a larger group. People don't pay as much attention to individuals. So one of us made the right move and pulled the little box out of its hiding place. Now our names are also in this logbook. Thank you for laying & taking care .Vierter Tag in Neuseeland ??.

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.
During our trip through New Zealand while waiting for the crossing to the North Island, we still had time for a few geocaches. Thank you very much to CO for making this available. With a friendly Dutch geocach greeting.
**Log about this cache:**A lot of rain in the morning and after a search no found, back in to the car.In the afternoon the wetter was much better.**General log:**After years of planning and the canceling of trip due to the corona crisis, the time had finally come:***"more than 5 weeks in New Zealand".***And how beautiful it was!Visited both the north and south islands, many tourist attractions have a cache nearby so I could do some as well.Lots of virtuals and earth caches too and traditionals. But also done a few multi caches here and there also even a mystery and wherigo cache. The trip to New Zealand was great and we saw a lot of nice places. The country has so many different types of landscapes. And the nice thing was that it is winter in the Netherlands but summer in New Zealand Too bad it takes so long to fly and that the flight is so expensive otherwise i can go here next year again. Now you can enjoy it, logging the caches is also part of it. I will try to email the answers for the earthcaches and virtual caches to the relevant co`s as soon as possible. But first log all caches and upload the photos .Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching

After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. After visiting Picton 2.5 weeks previous to today, while aboard the Ovation of the Seas, it's fun to arrive via a rental vehicle and see the city from a different angle. We enjoyed the view from this location. Had to wait for a muggle walking her dog to move on before we could get our ink on the log. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
At last we are at Picton. That is such a wiggly winding road with some serious issues. Really enjoyed driving it. Quick find at GZ.
Sadyl it was raining today but the view is beautiful on a sunny day. Its our dads first find in NZ TFTC
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case GH6710, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
BA quickly found the cache. The first on New Zealand's southern island. Not even 5 minutes after we left the ferry TFTC,BAhamafive
Decided to head up to Picton for some caching. Enjoyed the walk up here and the view on arrival. Tried a couple of options before spotting the lip. A few muggles around but they had no idea what was going on in the real world of geocaching. Happy to add a favourite point. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
A favourite place for us, regularly visited whilst waiting for the ferry. Great place to log our 1000th cache. TFTC
A Bluebridge and a Interislander in at the same time, the kids thought that was awesome. Lots of hooting and sirens form below and traffic was loaded on. Cheers
Arrived at Picton for one night before going to the north Island we could find here the traditional and the virtual. Nice view to the harbour. Tftc.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Cheers, Cympull.
Day 10 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Nelson, and then we go to Wellington. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Day 5, and our last, of our caching adventure to the wildfoods festival. Back in Picton waiting for our ferry with Mr-Mcgoo and Justlooking00. Had time to pop up here for the view and a couple of caches. Nice hide, retrieved OK and had to wait a bit to return. TFTC - fantastic spot.
I was on a cruise around New Zealand on the Noordam with my sister, Piney Wood Walkers, my brother, Cloiud9Hikers and their spouses. We were in Picton for the day with nothing to do but explore the city by caching. My favorite kind of shore excursion. Greetings from Minnesota MN.
Walked to the top for the virtual cache and stopped to look for this one too. Lots of people enjoying the view. TFTC
