Reperio 07:10Day 6 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I today travelled from just outside of the ACT to home in Orange. With a number of caches left to do around Murrumbateman and Yass, we stopped by a few in this area before taking an extended route back home to Orange. Our final day was another fantastic day of caching, with very few caches that went unfound. Gratias Princess_BoganAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Stopped with my team WAC (leg5 Barnzy12 neva2old Lachlan1.77 and me) on our way back from a caching run. Thanks for the hide.
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14697, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to Princess_Bogan for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Another massive day with the WA Crew signing WAC. If we arent up trees, we are wading through water or hiking mountains. We are grateful for locals who have shared their TOTT with us. Since we all flew to get to Canberra, it wasnt possible to bring the tools necessary for the high terrain caches. For some of the day we cached with an awesome group signing DG as deaf group; truly a generous and welcoming group. Thanks for your contribution in hiding this cache to make our experience as amazing as its been so
Quick find, but wasnt quite where i expected it to be. Short stop on the way to the GeoBash. Thanks
We are staying in Yass for the last night before we are arriving in Canberra for the MEGA events 2024.We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc LisetteR73
Did this cache at 1:07am on the way to Canberra and somehow managed to find it, TFTC
Found with thisguy9275. We had some minor difficulties trying to actually get anywhere near a ground zero in the Murrumbateman area so we were lucky this one was a quick find! No time to dwell, we are on to the next stop in Hall! TFTC )
Stopped into Eden Road Wines on a semi-sunny, overcastish, breezy kinda Sunday with Baristayan. G the great man took us through a bunch of wines, and we took the opportunity to grab this cache on the way out.
Happy to report the cache is safe and sound, and currently being guarded by quite an impressive glade of mushrooms! Thanks for the cache

Making my way from the MEGA back to Brisbane, I left Murrumbateman and headed to Canberra to collect some caches there. I stopped by to collect this one on the way.
A quick find, log signed, all replaced as found.

Aaah! the chance to change a bluey to a ellow smiley! Sweet success. Not sure how TravelGran and I made such hard work of this one way back when but then, I do remember TG almost stepped on the biggest, fattest snake I have ever seen - still not sure what it was - and it was just pouring with rain. Thanks to previous logs, found it easily this time - thanku.
GPS wanted to take us into the trees but that isn't right.

While still based at Yass we meandered around different localities finding caches. Yours was one we targetted and found. Our thanks to Princess_Bogan for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
I’m on my way to Canberra for a special event over the weekend. What better way to fill in my time then with Geocaching. I started with collecting the long overdue finds along the Barton HWY. Then I headed into Canberra for lunch and to host my event (GA14468) which had an unexpected turnout of 5 people. Thanks for coming and allowing me to not be alone at the park. Afterwards I headed out to find some caches which I have wanted to make for quite some time. These included some past DNF’s as well as some regular/large sized caches plus ‘The Maniac’. (I’ve decided on doing one a day) I can tell you I’m not as fit as I once was I made it with a minute or two to spare. Unlike some of the others that had done the ride, I didn’t experience trouble with the cartridge and it came up with the right coordinates first time. Next it was time to settle into my motel plus have a shower. After dinner, it was time for some night caching! I found 5 Labs plus a couple of other finds which included the AL Bonus. I had an eventful day. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring joy to me and to the rest of the caching community. TFTE and TFTC’s
After a great visit to Shellharbour parkrun volunteering to as marshal I left home rather late with a full packed car for a long weekend of caching. Took matrass, boat and walking/climbing gear so prepared for most situations. Slowly made my way through the highlands to pick up pieces here and there and then a quick run towards Canberra. Most of today's planning however was just outside the ACT but close to the border . Picked up the trails around Murumbateman and then towards Hall. Got pretty warm along the day, I think I saw 38 at some point. Luckily no long walks and all caches found quick, thanks for putting them out there!

Staying with family in the area, I went for a morning walk to get some caches. This was the 6th stop of the morning and the last stop for it started to rain. Armed with only paper map but no phone or GPS, I was still able to find the container. I live in Japan and the guard rails are simple over there. These GR are really something so had plenty places I had to check to find it. TFTC
Today is a caching day for the dogs and I. My lady is at work after some sick leave, and I need fifty more finds by Saturday for 100 for the month.
.
Apologies for the generic logs. My lady needs the computer to apply for jobs.
The dogs and I had a great day with 20 easy finds, and some dogs walks for the GeoMongrels. The caches were all fine, except that a few were uncovered by the wind we've been having, and one got blown out of its hole onto the ground. I re-camoed any where needed, and weighted down the one that got blown (slightly) away. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
Find no 6 of 20 today.
Thanks, Princess_Bogan

Last day of school holidays today. My youngest daughter and I spent most of the day geocaching before swimming lessons in the afternoon. Was in the area clearing out a few DNFs and grabbed this one as well. Thanks LisetteR73.
Well that was harder then it should have been. The GPS was playing silly buggers. TFTC
While staying at Yass we took the opportunity to do some more caching with ilook4geo, mostly picking up caches between Yass and Murrumbateman. Some caches took a bit more finding than others, but it was basically a successful run. All logs found were initialled and put back with their containers as found. Thanks go to LisetteR73 for placing this cache.
The day was a reasonable one for weather, so went out with goingplaces2 for a caching run from Yass to Murrumbateman. We had a fun day and signed lots of logs with two lots of initials. TFTC.

On our way home from the Oz Geomuster 2019 - The Gong! We had some time to kill and thought about smashing out a series or two on the way home to Melbourne. We followed the Australian Animals Series from Collector to Gundaroo - the weather turned a little nasty but we had fun anyway! Then we decided to keep the train rollin' along a few more dirt roads and backroad highways. Our thanks to all of the cache hiders for these cool caches along roads we'd never travel otherwise.

[The Trip] A great afternoon, discovering some cool places and roads I have never traveled before, following a nicely themed new cache trail for the FTFs. The weather was not great, got wet at most stops but not too bad either, never heavy rain and with sun at the very end of the drive. A winding, sometimes narrow road took me all the way to the Burrinjuck dam, with nice views of the water and hills around with misty clouds surrounding their tops today. A bit like a ride back into time with the settlement at the end of the road and an very empty road today.
[This cache] Quick find, all in good order. Happy to turn the frown face into a smile this time.
Thank you LisetteR73 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Out for a Sunday drive with the fam and the president of the TFG. As much as she has been the president since 2011 this is her first outing to look for caches. Fourth winery with a caches today and not a drop to drink. Will have to plan this better next time. TFTC
A decent haul of caches along a powertrail was the agenda for today or so the powers that be informed me . Along for the ride in micaparamedic's fourby we were joined by Earthbound Chief & Control as well as papi4506 and GeoTurtle56. Up and down, we explored what we Victorians would see as highways but what the ACT has deemed to be parkways.
A day of laughs and camaraderie ensued as we sought and found what the ACT had to offer by way of highway based powertrails with the odd extra cache in a shopping centre or puzzle thrown in for good measure. Chalk up another day where the haul tipped a ton. My thanks to the COs that have placed these caches for us all to enjoy.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC

Out geocaching today with friends while in Queanbeyan/Canberra for the MEGA event. Yes, we're early, but that's half the fun. Today we took a drive out to Murrumbateman for some geocaching in this area. My how it has grown out here with many new houses. We enjoyed being in the area and chose this cache to do while out here. Thanks for placing it LisetteR73.

Hello Canberra. Wondering if there might be a few new caches to be found in this part of town and what a nice surprise. A big week ahead with the MEGA and the NFF over Easter. But prior to that we are at the AIS for a National xc Ski Training Camp with testing and the AUS ROLLERSKI Champs on Sunday. In between all that may get to see a film and do some MTB. Managed to get a free hour today to ride over here and pick up these. Thanks for the series - I’ll be back for more.
We're camping at some quiet locations and great little towns that should lead us to the Mega at Queanbeyan.
It's a credit to all the cache owners down here, just about all the finds have been well maintained and with excellent coords.
We replaced this one with a new container and log sheet.
Camped at the Gundaroo Oval to see if we can find some of the trails around here.
Thanks for placing this cache LisetteR73

I noticed there was an event in Jugiong this Saturday, and had decided to go to that, then noticed one the next day, with overnight camping beforehand, at Oura Beach - so I decided that this weekend would be a Geocaching weekend ... so, as I was out somewhere else on Friday evening, I got up on Saturday morning and packed camping gear and food, and all my other stuff, and drove from Canberra to the "A Country Town Event #1 Jugiong", then while I was there I found a cache nearby (that I had not found when I was here and looked for it 2 years earlier) then after that event, I went and found a few more in Jugiong, then headed over toward Wagga Wagga to camp overnight, for the the "Come to Oura Camping Event!" which was officially on Sunday morning ... hung around after and found a nearby cache, had a swim and lunch, then found the cache in Oura, before I headed out to Kapooka to find a couple caches there (I had not been there, or even to Wagga Wagga (apart from driving through the edge of town on my way to camp at Oura beach - lol), since I did my Army recruit training back in 1987) then I headed back past Oura (decided that was a more interesting way to go home) and found a few caches here and there on my drive home to Canbera ... and my last find on the way home (between Murrumbateman and Canberra) was actually just after Midnight - oops? - lol
TFTC - Yep - still there
Not quite the typical place on the typical object... Only took a minute or so to find though...
This was actually my last find for the day, but only because it was midnight when I drove off from here ... but I only stopped for one more on my way home ... lol

Couldn't find this one anywhere, in the most typocal object where the coords point seems to be nothing, or it is extremely well hidden and in the surroundings nothing jumped out at me. For a D1.5 this was a bit unexpectedly hard. Maybe a hintwould be good. Left it for some other time.

An early start due to my wife having a morning shift meant a leisurely drive from Melbourne back to Canberra, allowing a restful stop in a very warm Gundagai. A short walk around town gathering a few interesting looking caches seemed in order.
Just a few stops along this road to gradually start ticking these off. Just some easy parks and grabs. TFTC

A much nicer day after a break in the run of hot weather, and much better for caching so we made a trip out to Yass to clear a few around the town and along the highway. The logsheet here is absolutely chockers by the way - we had to look for a place to squeeze in our name. Thanks for the hide Lisette.
A day trip to Canberra to attend the event, and pick up some caches along the way.
The weather was supposed to be very hot, but the clouds moved in and the day was beautiful.
Cache was located where we thought it would be, and found in good condition.
Log signed and replaced as found.

By this time the rain was getting a little heavier, I left Silvereyes to look around whilst I had a comfort stop, which ended up in a big scream!! A lovely brown "crawlie" was seen on the ground amongst the pine trees. Finally we decided it was not alive, but it certainly was of a good size, we searched a little more, but wondered if any more would be around, so decided we would have to leave this one for another day.
Talk about the Garden of Eden! Didn't find Adam & Eve or an apple but TravelGran was within a hair's breadth of stepping on a flipping great serpent! She became extremely agile & fleet f foot - ever more came out by the same door as in she went (thanks Omar Khayyam)! No cache but don't care - ha ha. Maybe another time.
