Ocw the Bebes picking up a few caches as we visit Cloncurry. Lovely here by the lake. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Visiting Cloncurry for a few days. Today we headed to the dam and picked up a few caches on the way. Super busy around the playground this morning but deserted at GZ.A lovely oasis.Tftc
We could reach this one by car ....no more climbing today, so we had to leave two of your caches behind. After we left Mount Isa, we had a busy day in Cloncurry to refresh our memories, notice the upgrades here and there and to get as many caches as possible.Again that meant uphill and downhill couple of times. We started the caching tour with the sequential Adventure Lab, then off to other caches. We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc TeamPops17
It was a bit rough getting into GZ but our 2 wheel drive managed it through I wouldn't want to try it in the wet. After a short search the cache was found. TFTC.
bunadoorian and I came here after watching the sun set at the Chinaman Hill lookout - before the light finally went. bunadoorian found this first while I was still taking sunsetting photos. TFTC and for bringing us here DaNgoman. On the way back into town to collect our Pizza for tea - a lot of bats flew over the road.
On our travels we found ourselves in Cloncurry for a couple of nights and took the opportunity to grab a few caches, this was a nice drive to a hidden gem of a spot I wish we had packed a lunch, thanks for placing this cache
Stopped at the park and checked the dam out. Then drove on to this spot. There is a different view of the dam from here. Quick find for us
Drove the car in the direction of a cache, this is the one we found. Wish we had more time to take it all in.
Beautiful dam. Got some lovely photos at sunset. Thank you for showing me this beautiful location. Tftc
What an incredibly beautiful location. We came for a walk, and after recent rain everything looks green and sparkling.
The birdlife in the area was amazing, with plenty of rainbow bee eaters around.
We signed the log at GZ, and add a favourite point here.
Thanks DaNgoman

Catching up with missed logs from our trip earlier this year
We spent a couple of nights in Mount Isa enjoying having a look around. The first afternoon and the next morning were taken up doing the bison series after which we headed back to town picking up as many caches as we could.
Today we e decided to clear up a few caches in town and surrounds before heading to Cloncurry for the next stage of our adventure.
We saw some great sights that we would never have seen without geocaching, this is the main reason we still love the game after nearly 20 years of playing.
This looks like it might not only be a great camping spot but also a place that the local 4wd's come out to have a bit of fun. We were happy that we were in a 4wd as we spent a couple of nights in Mount Isa enjoying having a look around. The first afternoon and the next morning were taken up doing the bison series after which we headed back to town picking up as many caches as we could.

We approached this one , once on top the GPSr led us directly to the cache hide. We added our name to the log book and returned everything as it was and then headed off down a different track that a 2wd could easily drive in.
Thanks again for the cache.

We don't think that the water level is usually this high but it is a great time to be here as there is plenty of water now. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
The dam seems to be quite full at the moment and as such is quite a beautiful sight and contrast to the arid colours about. Thank you for the cache.
Hi there DaNgoman.
We found your cache **"WATERFRONT"** today.
We're full time grey nomads, currently avoiding COVID hot spots on our way to QOGM in Cunnamulla. Today we cached around Cloncurry and found 9 caches in a variety of container types and sizes (& DNF'd 0).
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log are in good shape.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central Queensland to Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns. In Cairns I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend and spent three weeks on Cape York Peninsula before making our way back to Cairns and Mareeba. From there I headed on my own back home via Normanton and Karumba, Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Tennant Creek and back down the Stuart Highway through Alice Springs to Adelaide. All in all I spent six weeks on the road, visited many out of the way locations, enjoying the scenery and finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache DaNgoman!
Continuing my trip up north and being very thankful that I’m not in lockdown like our Southern States.
Spending a couple of nights at Cloncurry and this morning was spent touring around the dam area.
Bouncing my way around the track and came across a beautiful waterfront property that had a great view of the dam.
Lucky for me there was a group further around that was just out of sight to let me look for this one.
Thanks DaNgoman TFTC.

Filling in a little time before starting at EHM. Took the drive along the waterside and had the good fortune to spot the container almost immediately..
Out and about here visiting my nephew and his family here in Cloncurry.
Saw this pop up and I had to grab it.
A nice little spot at the dam lookout here.
Cache is in fairly good condition and the log is ok.
I visited 3 TB.

Day 352 again it was a nice quick drive our to the GZ and it was a nice easy find once the GZ was found. That little container was almost missed lucky I was on the right side to see it. So signed the log and returned it to the container and went back to enjoy the lazy day in the aircon of the big box.
Thanks DaNgoman for bringing us here to make a smiley for the day.

Lovely spot. Nice walk, with lots of bird life to see. First tiny hanging cache we've found. Geokids were very excited. Tftc.
Stopped in here at the dam on our way through to Cloncurry. Nice spot for a break, and as a bonus, there were a few caches to find as well. TFTC
As we arrived in town today, we set ourselves the challenge of finding most of the caches around Cloncurry, despite the heat. We also wanted to find them as quickly as possible. This was one of the quicker finds and the duties were soon completed. Cache was replaced after being signed and it was on to the next one. Thanks to DaNgoman for this cache placement.
After leaving Julia Creek this morning we headed to Cloncurry and after setting up the van we drove out to find a few of the local caches.
We thoroughly enjoyed driving alongside the water here.
Thanks for showing us this area and thanks for the cache DaNgoman

I had to get out of the house and do some caches, so instead of finding local ones, i went to the curry for the afternoon and found 8 for 8! TFTC TNLN
NEF - my pen wouldn't write on the surface so I've taken pics of CO needs proof I found it. TFTC
A lazy start to the day as we continue our meandering across northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. A cooked breakfast, a delightful plunger coffee , put on a load of washing then loaded up the car to finish off the traditional caches in Cloncurry.
Decisions, decisions, decisions! Which track will we take from the previous cache?
Decision made and off we go. What a fabulous piece of water this lake is. We turned in towards the GZ and soon had CIH. After adding my name to the log I returned the cache to its hidey hole.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to enjoy Dangoman. Without these caches we would never have visited this spot.

One more beautiful spot after another have driven thru Cloncurry several times didn't even know this was here thank you
We left Mt Isa by lunchtime and arrived in Cloncurry.
Caravan dropped off and out we went to explore town using Geocaching as a guide. Lovely area here at Chinaman Creek Dam. Shame camping is not allowed but noticed some ignoring the rules.

Detour around Australia- family of 6 in a camper trailer for 6 months!
We had quickly saved a few caches on our journey for today just in case we didn't have phone reception. Turns out I indeed didn't have phone reception so was glad for the ones I had saved offline. This was the one and only lucky cache that was saved in Cloncurry and it turned out to be a beautiful stop for lunch! Was a lovely walk to the cache to stretch the legs, just a pity (and a surprise) when I next got reception to discover there were so many other caches we could have gotten as well! Oh well, at least we made our mark in Cloncurry and enjoyed this lovely spot! Thanks for the cache!

A quick find today in company with John of Team Gypsys. A very peaceful spot to chill out in the afternoon (and the shade). A great place for a cache - the cache and log are both in good condition. Thanks to DaNgoman for the cache.
Camped at Corella dam going towards Cloncurry today, after leaving the Red Centre Experience picking up a few caches along the way. TFTC
We have set up camp at Corella Dam, such a great spot & we have caught many red claw here.

TFTC 2346# on the way to NT SA and NSW these are the few last ones before we hit the NT traveling with muggle sister and geo dogs having a great time meeting new people and old friend at ARMAC
We've been to the Mega at Alice Springs and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.
This was a beautiful spot for a campsite but sadly you're not allowed to stay overnight here.
Pat found this one.
Thanks for the cache DaNgoman.

After attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs and then heading north to Darwin, we are now headed for home. We reached Queensland yesterday and after overnighting in Mt Isa and collecting a few more around the city this morning, we were now on the road and heading for our next overnight stop in Winton via Mary Kathleen, Cloncurry and McKinlay caching all the way. Most of the caches we located were in good order, including this one which we collected near Chinamans Dam where we stopped for lunch. TFTC DaNgoman

We are on an express road trip from Brisbane to Alice Springs but taking the opportunity to find a few caches along the way [^] There will be a little more time on our return trip so we will be taking some time out to better explore some of the areas we have had to fly past
We managed to get our little i30 along the track to get to ground zero and located this cache easily enough. With our name added to the log book, we continued on our long drive.
Thank you DaNgoman for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Today we travelled to Richmond finding caches that had been published since our last visit and this was one of them. Having been here a few times we got to further explore the town and pick up a few more smilies. An easy find after unhitching the van to further explore the lake and surrounds.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
