First find for 2021. Had to do some today. TFTC NoonaB. Ps lid was missing when i found it. Happy 2021 everyone
The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so I decided to head out for a day out of the house and a nice walk along the TCT trail, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves, sanitizer and mask I ventured out, I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. I was expecting something industrious but I only found a micro, the cache is in need of maintenance as the lid is gone.
Thanks NoonaB for the cache.
Thanks NoonaB for the cache.
Missing lid. Sneaky. Decided to go for a drive picking up caches on the way. It's beautiful countryside. Tftc
Had expected something different reading the description. Lid missing but use of rite as rain paper works. Tftc
Goodhide, Twas a bit of a watery approach to the cache from all the rain . TFTC
Quick little find out on a Sunday drive. Another road I have never ventured down! Tftc
Marshall’s Geelong found this cache today with LCASS on our Gippsland adventure,
Easy find whilst admiring the view!

Tftc. Wouldn't believe it: last year I dropped by but the farmer was working in the paddock so I thought to return again one day. Today, just as I pulled up to search again, a guy from Gipps Water was on a lunchtime walk. Thankfully he was apace so I didn't have to wait long.
Today's views are cloud ridden with imminent rain.
Have run by this tree in days gone by.
Cache still in good condition.

After a long break due to Petal's life threatening illness, we decided to ease our way into a few caches today, so made this cache a stop on our outing. A quick find here and the log was soon filled and returned.
Thanks for the cache placement here today.

I was still searching for this cache when I turned around and there was Mr Team GBS holding it up! We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
With the Mega now over it was time for one of the FurfacesLL team to return home for work and the other one to soldier on with Rapidlywild. Also visiting friends around the area on the down days when RW was busy.
We decided to head out today between showers. Seems we have not picked an ideal week to cache. Oh well we will have to come again one day. No problems with this one.
Thanks for the hide NoonaB and thanks to Rapidlywild for the company and caching adventure.

The Mega had been and gone however myself and FFLL#1 were staying on for another week with some other commitments. I had a charity Gala dinner to attend to on the Saturday following the Mega so it only made sense to stay on in Victoria. We were staying out Gippsland way so we had targeted Robot Charli and a couple other series to do, however the weather decided to go against us and we did not get all that were planned. It doesnt matter, we still got a fair few done in the time we were here. Once it was time to start heading home, we went via Albury to pick up some more puzzles of which we had solved.
Time for a quick cache run in between the rain clouds. No issues locating this one.
Thanks for the cache hide NoonaB and the ladies of FurfacesLL for another great caching adventure away from home

I have a bad habit of not logging caches till months later. I suppose it's not too bad a fault:)
Second time looking for this one, but i read that it was moved so it was like looking for a new cache. Sneaky blighter, but got it!

The original structure has not been replaced so I've moved the cache location and it's in a new container. Happy hunting.

Thought I would tackle this one on the way back out to a new cache id plan to get. Got to GZ and after looking at the logs, wasnt looking for an eclipse mint tin. I searched around for a while trying to get my GPs to settle. No luck. I hopped back into the car whilst the GPS honed in on a spot.... Something was a miss. Unfortunately, without giving away too much, the cache was damaged. I signed the log and sent a message to the CO who was thankful for the message and plans to bring it back to life soon. TFTC NoonaB
Needing to disable this cache temporarily as it has been damaged. I'll tentatively say 2 weeks and hopefully council will replace the structure the cache is hidden on in that time however if it's not the cache location will need to be moved.
That was a clever piece of industrial engineering! Searched in lots of places, jumped water, got wet feet, startled a feral cat , had one last look at something that I had no expectation of finding anything, looked carefully at it poked and pried and found it! Great view!
In morwell for the day so we decided to stop off and collect a couple caches before heading home this one was interesting ive thought of placing a similar cache but havent gotten around to it just yet perfect day to be out and about tftc
Headed off road in the blackberries not quite on the spot. Once i looked at the exact spot we got it straight away. Very clever

What a clever little cache, very cool and very practicle, thanks for the hide NonnaB
Love the container for this one.... The view is amazing... We were greeted by a group of friendly moo moos... Tftc...
A very nice hide with amazing views.
Just think.... over 2 years ago the area was covered in tall green Pine Trees then the fires ripped through the area. Makes you think.... I then had to sign the log rather quickly as Farmer Brown was approaching GZ on his tractor.

8/10/16.
With A and GizaGal.
IN THE PAST!!
I chased the FTF with this ... in the dark, freezing cold rain, with the knowledge that it had just been logged so the FTF was gone. So after freezing my arse off, getting wet as a shag and standing in a few drains to boot I retreated.
TODAY
A beautiful sunny spring afternoon.
Driving near with some time on our hands, so we stopped.
The poor trees have copped a geosearch or two .. lots of bark removed!!!
We had to resort to reading the logs and trying to gleem a clue. Bingo!!

Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. A sneaky hide with great views-yes, you can see all three industries from GZ. TFTC
Took a short cut along a logging track from the previous cache to get here, if there is an easy way and a hard way to get somewhere, I will usually find the hardest road to travel - didn't return that way though. I have to give this one a favourite point as I was busy thinking about a remark made by a previous cacher that made this an easy find for me. Also, the views of the three main industries in this area from the one point. Caching with misschief18 and Bentley TB today

A very well done hide. Have seen a few of these over the journey and this is a good one. Thanks for the challenge.
YaY - found it this afternoon - my third cache for the 2016 International Geocaching Day. A very clever cache container NoonaB - awesome vote from me . Certainly not what I was expecting when I pulled up. Log was signed and I was off to find the next cache on my list.
Found it retrieved it signed it and replaced it. Needed a cache to fill in a gap for the month.
A little damp at the search area at the moment, a simple yet affective hide.
Thanks NoonaB FTC. A fav for something a little different.

Found in the thrones of day turning into night. Sprung by a jogger who scared me to death..lol.. was in the tree's at the time too lol in my eightball outfit.. bit weird.. the trees gave me time to reflect and soon had a nice cache in hand.. coords tend to fluctuate here.. also my phone app. Would not log my find was submitted yet didnt show up also weird. Logged via the web page..
I saw this cache's notification on publication day, sussed out the weather and thought the better of it. Tonight however, I had a mission to pick up a car at Maryvale Hospital and Kato Potato volunteered to drive me out there. We discussed doing a drive-by reconnaissance to suss out the situation and decide whether getting out of the car in this cold was worth it. Two seconds. That's all it took. I returned to the car cackling my head off with the cache in hand, Kato hadn't even gotten out yet. Pen was applied to paper and we cackled our way to Maryvale. TFTC NoonaB and for the enjoyment. A creative hide, we've seen similar but not done like this. Oh, and I forgot to add that this cache is best done at night - the glittering lights from the industry nearby was beautiful.
It's a cold, wet, windy night but Mummy Short Legs and I were out in it doing a bit of a car shuffle. As our end destination was just down the road we decided a quick scoping of this area was clearly called for, even if we didn't feel like getting out of the car. Approached gz with the high beams blazing, stopped right next to the biggest puddle around... hmmm. Backed up a tad just catching sight of the traffic signage in the dark in time to stop it clipping a wing mirror (!!). Consulted the gps, backed up more to illuminate the area. Took a stab at what we were going for. MSL was out if the car in a flash with me close on her heels but my door hadn't even slammed yet when she exclaimed triumphantly "GOT IT!" Much high fiving ensued! Barely outside long enough to feel the cold air! Yay! And what a stunning sight all the lights in the area made. Definitely recommend this cache for a night time wander, for the view alone! Thank you so much for the cache!

N and I set off to find this as it was pissing down, blowing and freezing cold.
Just before we reached GZ I saw the FTF had been logged.
grrrr
We kept going to chase a second to find.
Parked on the road and N stated in the car.
I jumped a few puddles, got wet and cold, bloody cold. ,,, and in the end was kinda glad the FTF was gone, so I could quit before I died of exposure.
As Arnie said, "I'll be back".
tftc.
,, and a huge ty to Paulnmax for logging their FTF so promptly.
