Heading home from visiting family in Corowa and took a bit of a detour.I made this much harder than it should have been. Thanks GeoGranni3687 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.
Another great sunny winter day to be out and about and happened to find this cache on our way to Balldale Hotel for lunch. A very peaceful looking cemetery. Thanks GeoGranni3687 for a well placed cache.
Found by Mary and David at 16:20. A FP, as M loves these places for the symbolism of the older headstone designs, and the social history in the epitaphs. Not much time to explore. The cemetery is very spread out and well maintained. Our thanks to GeoGranni3687.
Beautiful day to be outAfter attending the Markets at Corowa, and then watching the planes at the airport, decided to go for a drive and grab some caches TFTC
Canberra GeoBash DashDay Seven: Wagga Wagga to Barham. Weather: Rain!!!I thought that this was going to be my last cache in NSW, but Google Maps had other ideas. A very quiet spot apart from the highway noise.Cache blends in well here! Thanks for the cache Geogranni.
Looked for a few minutes and then could not believe I had missed it. Lol. SL at 10:10am. Man it’s cold! TFTC.
Out and about today with Geowife and Geodogs exploring this wonderful area. What a beautiful Cemetery. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
A slight detour from our original route, but we are getting L plate hours up and don’t mind the odd detour.
We made this one so much harder than it needed to be and we felt quite silly when we finally spotted it. Ha! Was very chilly so a quick sign and back to the warm car. Thanks to Locus Cache for replacing the log.
Cheers.

Replaced full nano log with a new one. I have the old log with me. If CO sends me their postal address, I can post the old log to them. Cheers

We made our way towards Rutherglen for the upcoming mega event, and this was a quick stop to grab this one as it started raining more heavily again. Dashed back to the car to sign the log and then again to replace.

What a mega weekend, in more ways than 1, we were out & about with our caching buddies, the Suscoe Duo. We enjoyed reading the cache notes and made a quick cache find.

It was a rainy night but the day had moments that were dry and at times continued the raindrops.
Some impressive cloud formations were seem as the day progressed.
Thanks to GeoGranni for this hide, a quick find here today.

Geodad and I spent ages looking but this stumped us and geokids were demanding a lunch break. Tricky tricky
On a mission to collect 7 Cemetery caches in NSW today after work, this was the first stop. There is a lot of space in this cemetery. Very clever hide TFTC

In the area for a few days training the local Vicses crew, but had some time to cross the border for some caching fun.
After meeting up with Happy pants we hit the trail for this cache and some in the surrounding area.
Cheers for the enjoyable cache.

Found but sadly the log book is full. Couldn't even cram my name in anywhere.
Decided to go out this afternoon for a little drive and also grab a cache or two and this was the first one for the trip. Managed a nice quick find after a short search and squeezed my name on the log. Sorry had no tiny little spare log sheets on me to replace it. Thanks GeoGranni for hide and for highlighting this quaint little cemetery, certainly nice and peaceful around here today.
Finally able to get out for a day. Quick find. Log is full. Unable to replace. Cache OK
Looked around for 5 minutes and looked around the gat and sign but didn't find it i think someone took it because it's now where
Had a poke around, found some redback spiders. And eventually found the cache. Log signed where I could as it's pretty full at the moment. Thanks for the cache!
Here at the cemetery in the optimistically named Hopefield,
I soon tracked down this little cache

While travelling between Corowa and a Leeton by a very convoluted route with many devours and deviations and even the occasional backtrack to collect caches along the way, this was one that crossed my wayward travels Enjoyed the placement of this cache Tha Geogranni
We drive past all the time and today thought we’d give it a go. Log needs to be updated as it’s full! Last written in back in March 19
Todats trip was Walla Walla -Wirramina - Balldale -Howlong & return
This was journey through some very quiet country roads.
With a few showers of rain tossed in as well to add to the day.
Thanks for placing this cache GeoGranni

Slightly busier road than the one running parallel to it but still quiet enough to make a find. Log is full TFTC
A quick park and find which was fortunate as the rain was starting to set in (or so we thought). tftc
Usually enjoy wandering cemeteries where caches are hidden but no time today unfortunately. TFTC.
#3498 A nice quick find of the little guy with threatening dark rumbling clouds approaching. The cemetery is in immaculate condition, obviously a caring community that takes pride in maintaining loved ones laid to rest. TFTC GeoGranni.
Murray River December 2018. I headed away with Fitzy_1965 for a weekend caching towards the Murray River near Corowa. We targeted a few series and as many DNFs from previous trips as possible. We did of course generate even more this time, but overall had a great time despite a sharp thunderstorm on Sunday morning. Things were a bit wet in the early morning, but we found the caches anyway.
Thanks.

17,178. Found during a caching weekend run down to the Murray River in the Corowa region with albida33.
After camping on the Murray last night we woke up to a huge thunderclap overhead and we then packed up in extreme record time as a red rain cell was about to hit us ! Just made it as a big dump of water hit the site. Oh well at least we made an early start to the days caching ! This was the next stop for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks GeoGranni !!

A nice day for a return tour in this area. All geocaches get me outdoors, and any cache may highlight ...Vistas, Flora, Fauna, Local Interests, Events & History. Perhaps even being a simple challenge. Regardless of a find or not, they are all unique and I sincerely thank the cache owner for placement of this one.
What a well kept cemetery this one is. We quickly found the container on the way in and did the signing. We then took some time to wander around and look at some of the old graves.

Our mini break up here to Corowa needed a good tour around the area. We decided on these caches around Balldale today. Another country area being left behind with our fast moving future. Love these old towns and the history of old. Tyftc
Quick find on our way past. Great day out caching with Theclazzas while our kids were at school learning. Tftc
Great little drive collecting a few out of the way caches. A beautiful, well maintained cemetry..
Of all the days to be doing lawn mowing, today was the day. Managed to lurk around the area for a while until I found the little sucker. tftc
Split second decision to get some caching in before we head off tomorrow, met red leader & fox 2 in town and off we went!
Creeped out by a pitch fork, spider and Indianagleesons overactive imagination so I was glad this was a quick find!

The forecast wasn't supposed to be very flash today, so we hopped into the car and set of for Corowa and Bulldale. Turned out to be a very nice sunny day! We hit the Chiltern bakery late morning and continued north. Lots of new caches to grab on the way.
Now this is a well maintained cemetery! All the lawns we carefully mowed and all graves attended to - very flash.
Someone has left their fork (garden variety) behind the sign, but it doesn't interfere with the nano (shudder!)
Thanks, Robmc.

#12420. After a busy start to the morning editing some stuff for Alexandra and solving the 3rd of some local puzzles it was time to hit the road and head for Chiltern, Rutherglen, Corowa and beyond. To my surprise we managed an unexpected FTF, a couple of 2TFs and a few 3TF's. Managed a nice total of 15 finds and 1 disappointing DNF. It was a lovely day to be touring the countryside.
The grounds must have been just mown. Everything was so tidy and well kept here and just the way a cemetery should be. Today I did not go over for a good look around but I always enjoy visiting old country cemeteries. Found the nasty nano easily enough, added our names and continued on our way.
Thanks GeoGranni

Ducked out for some night caching with Indianagleeson and shellumbus. Between the cemetery at night, the pitchfork and the red back spider this one was an easy find and a fast log signing to get back in the geocar! TFTC.
TFTC!
Well usually Ian okay with night caching at cemetery's, but when I saw the pitch fork...well let's just say....it made rethink what we were doing....
Signed log and got out of there!

Wasn't keen on hanging around too long here with the neighbour out back shooting at god knows what.
Signed the cache and got the hell out of there.

Went to the Corowa Farmer's Market and onto lunch at the Chocolate factory and then to top off a lovely sunny day we decided to do a few caches!! Boy, this sure is a tiny cache that took us a short while to find in its very good hiding spot - colours blended in well! Well maintained cemetery - so neat and tidy.
TFTC GeoGranni and for bringing us here to see this cemetery - our 1st for the afternoon.

6151. Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1345. Again so much history of this rural area. So sad that a lot only get remembered from the stone their names are placed on. SL Tnx GeoGranni
We toured out this way for some sightseeing and after finding a trio of caches closer to home we soon arrived at Hopefield Cemetery.
It's a credit to the curators as the grounds look fantastic. The people looking after the cemetery are doing a great job.
One fellow was working over towards the southern side of the burial ground, so he didn't concern us too much when we decided to look for the hide.
The clue was very helpful and we soon had the sneaky one sorted.
SL at 2.15pm. All ok.
I don't have any relatives buried out this way that I know of, but it was nice to visit all the same. TFTC GeoGranni.

2nd TF - we have been here before for a cache. This is a much better hide with spot on co-ordinates. Thanks for a second visit to this very neatly kept resting place. Today the sky was full of dark clouds and the wind was freezing, so that made for a quick SL at 11.35am #3818 TFTC GeoGranni
First to Find yay!
Only just saw the notification at 8:30pm and made the dash out to GZ and signed the log at 9:10pm.
I know one of the grounds people who look after this cemetery. He is our lawnmower man. This has to be the best kept rural cemetery for miles around.
Thanks GeoGranni for the cache.
