QEF on a sunny, windy Spring day. Decided on a wee caching loop of the Taylor Dam and this one made 5. Lovely having a few gaps on the gameboard after our wee 5 year break TFTC
Open to the homestead but not Hanmer today, as expected this time of year. Quick find of the cache. TFTC!!
I had no idea there was another way to get to Hanmer from here. It looks a bit dicey considering all the warning signs. Today one was open and one was closed. TFTC.
Didn't spot the sign until we had stopped but made short work of locating the cache. A large campervan went passed heading over the hill while we were stopped. Wouldn't want to meet that in some of the narrower sections. tftc#7159
**20,278**Another quick find here, no muggles about. We must make a plan some day to come back and go through this road to collect all those caches, but will bring the bike next time. TFTC
A couple of detours on the way home from work. Quick find and cache all fine. Thanks.
A quick find with Tregearp whilst exploring the local area. All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Interesting drive through and some large stations and honey processor in the valley, a quick find with SJT_NZ, thanks GH6710 all in good order.
Found while staying a couple of days at Taylor dam. TFTC is so nice to have some as it gets me out walking
Closed, Oh bother! Well, I'll just have to cycle back to Blenheim instead. Thanks for the placement GH6710.
Oh bother it's closed I will have to change my plans I have always wanted to do this journey thanks for the placement
A nice quick find thanks. And no its not!
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we cruised around Blenheim, The weather was fine and sunny, and we had a lovely time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

This cache is dry but there is a hole in the lid. Dry because placed upside down. Out and about driving the Taylor Pass, Riverlands, Blenheim loop to enjoy this clear autumn day, the views and (hopefully) collect some easyish caches! This, and all the others, encouraged me to drive over the pass. My only prior experience of passes has been the big Mainland ones (usually in winter) or hairy ones when tramping in the Annapurnas, etc - you get the picture. Say 'mountain pass' to me and I envisage barely drivable, dangerous places where I could go careering off the road to my untimely death! When I was told it was partly unpaved, I was more nervous. But then I thought, 'Hey, can it really be that bad if there are a flurry of GCs throughout?' Answer: No, it was lovely! Was feeling weak from all that searching, so scarfed a delicious chicken burger & chips at the Riverlands Roadhouse on my way home. Hard life, eh?!
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*

Bike Ride and Cache. What could be better … a bike ride and several caches. Today it was the ‘Taylor River Loop’ for us and some caching on the way. This was the second of two. Didn’t collect all that were available … will come by this way on another day and will need something to find as we pass by! Thanks, GH6710, for placing this cache and made a good day even better.
Stopped off here on my way past. Nigel navigator took me to that sign way over there before returning me to this more sensible sign. Log fill here so left a temp RITR Log. Cheers..
Today Im on a Capperz Cache Hunt before these all disappear. Enjoyed wandering around Blenheim, caching with Lenny my new (techy) caching partner.

Nice and easy grab but it's Sunday and there has been muggles the whole way round so just had to have a mosey at cows till they passed
Only one space left in log to sign.
Dad for the find while on an early morning bike ride.
#6 on day 6 of our March Madness.

Find #43 for MnAJ - QEF, with lots of resident spiders and eggs nearby. One child ok with that, one child not so much! Tftc.
An unexpected day to myself! To the geomobile!
This was my first find on a stunningly beautiful and warm winter's day. I parked further down the road and enjoyed the walk then made the find fairly quickly. This set me up for a great day of only finds, no DNFs!
Thank you for the cache.

Yes, it is. I've long had the desire to go through Molesworth but for various reasons it still hasn't happened. Maybe next season . TFTC .
Kiwimykl mentioned that it was just about the end of the time period allocated to get the latest geocaching Social Butterfly souvenir and I only needed one more cache to qualify. Checking the gameboard we discovered this cache was the closest being only 2.5km away from home.
Into the geomobile and head down the road for a QEF PnG. All over in 8 minutes flat.

We came over for the weekend to round up some mythical Hidden Creatures. With a successful trip down the Awatere Valley yesterday we had well and truly achieved our Hidden Creatures goal and made it passed the Dragon already. Today was a residential/town day which can take longer to navigate but we only needed 20 more to reach the World Turtle and we finished the day with almost double that. Yes it is open. If we hadnt read the clue first we wouldve found it much quicker. The hint is no longer relevant as it was ground level and was pushed in deep. We returned it there but not as deep. Thanks for your effort in placing this cache for everyone elses enjoyment.
We were wondering what we were going to do to qualify for the latest hidden creatures challenge. We have been streaking for a couple of years so our supply of caches around Nelson are starting to thin out. We decided to come over to Marlborough for the weekend to make up the numbers we needed. We had noticed there were many park and grab type caches in this area so this is where we decided to target.
We had made a hasty retreat from further up the Awatere Valley as the crappy weather had arrived. By this stage of our weekend we knew that we would succeed in the hidden creatures challenge so we just kept on going because we could.
A nice easy find here in the first place that GK looked.
Thanks for placing this cache and thanks for the smilie

Found on the way to a job further up the pass ,all quiet on the road today Thanx4tc
A bit sad to see the old furniture dumped in the ditches but nice park and grab. Tftc
No, it wasn't open. But that didn't matter because we found a cache and were going to turn around here anyway. Mrs SoBad and her sister finding a few caches before lunch.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Quick find this evening with eltee291 and crman1. So quiet down there tonight! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Canada! Thanks for the cache!
Quick find tonight with hingis20 and crman1. We decided to head out after dinner and get a few more caches before sunset. Visiting Blenheim, NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
A quick find, got lots of grass seeds in my socks. One of the hazards of caching at this time of year. TFTC
Yay! Mission over! My calendar is up to three per day! And, no, I don't plan on getting it up to four - there are 92 days I would have to go caching. It would be a chore. I'll plug away at them, but not worried if I miss a few.
I found my cellphone has a backdoor installed by China, so had dumped it and purchased a new phone, and although I had my geocaching app on it, I couldn't get to the hint. Who needs hints? But the cellphone had not registered the satellites yet, and put the cache at about 40m away. Doesn't really look right over there. If I was doing this I would put it... here. Yup! Found without GPS (except for getting me to within 40m) and without the hint! THAT's the way geocaching ought to be! [^]

Yes, it is open, but we were surprised to see the sign here and the fact that it is open. Quick find, TFTC
Had some time available on the way north to Picton today so decided to go via Taylor's Pass and score the new caches published since I was last along this way. Found after a short search, I initially missed it in the obvious place. Signed log, TFTC
