G'day from Brisbane!First to sign the new logsheet.Quite difficult to extract without TOTT.Friction is an amazing thing.Remember to roll-up and place in lid.TNLN TFTC Beautiful spot. Well placed hide (like the tether!)Worth a Favourite Point Fishing the lake
When I got to the spot the base of the cache was there but not the top. I found the top close to the water but no log to be found.
Found while on a walk around Lake Tuggeranong. Found the cache container without a log and not hidden. Have hidden and let CO know. Thanks for placing !
Spotted. Only bison lid and attachment are present. No log and bottom of container.
We got a little confused at first and went to the wrong tree but as soon as we went to the right tree we found it straight away
#3974 With the afternoon cut a little short with the rains coming in, I caught up with my regular caching compadre for a cache that wasn’t too far from either of us.
Parked over near the corner of Urambi and took a pleasant stroll in the rain down to GZ.
The cache was soon located right on target and replaced with its camo.
It was then that we made the decision to return to yesterdays adventure where we had pulled up stumps early due to failing light. We’re already wet anyway!

With Chook, took a little searching plus a long walk around the lake. Came to Canberra to walk the Centenary trail, around 100km in the week so far
In Canberra for the week to do some hiking and exploring, this afternoon Chook met up with WendyB158 and friend Sue, to finish off the day with a lap of Lake Tuggeranong.
After we all looked there the first time, it just magically appeared on second pass. TFTC Tankengine.

Found as I was running past, not expecting to go caching, I had no pen. With CO permission I am logging, but hope to come back later today to sign properly. TFTC Tankengine.
Out for drizzly days hunt. The trees offering a bit of protection. Nice little hide. Thanks for the cache.
Was such a glorious day to geocache, have never walked around this lake before and it’s very enjoyable
After spending the morning watching tv, I decided I had to venture out to do some caching. I chose the Tuggeranong wander. It was a great drive around, and I took the chance to find some other caches near each area. I think I have seen all the areas before, but most are all worth another stop.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

Found previously but pen didn’t work , so today after walking the Urambi circuit with companion dog logged whilst having a cuppa and a short recoup before the walk home. Thank you
A wet day, but that wasn't going to stop at least a little play with a shiny new GPSr. It took us right to GZ and shinydragon had the cache in hand quickly.
Even on a wet day the views over the lake to the mountains are still wonderful to look at. Today we were treated to misty mountains, ducks, other waterbirds, and even a quick gap in the rain
TFTC Tankengine.

A cold rainy rainy day but we wanted to test out the new GPSr! The mountains look misty and there are water fowl enjoying the weather. Saw what I think was a Cormorant, swimming in manner I didn’t expect (just neck and head sticking out rather than on the surface like a duck or swan). Quick find! TFTC.
After miss 4 played around with the ducks and had fun throwing sticks in the water we cruised on over to find the cache. Here i was looking in the complete wrong direction. Tftc
This was a straightforward find right where I expected. A lovely spot somewhat spoilt by all the fish rotting nearby! Thanks Tankengine.
On the hunt for my 200th Tankengine find. Very peaceful down by the lake tonight. 1 down, two to go. TFTC
Found the new cache and signed that. Bringing the old one to the Community Celebration event.
Not sure this is where it it suppoed to be (despite the cob webs). Can't miss it.
I don't get in this part of the city very often. So today I am going through the Tuggeranong suburbs for the Canberra Mapping challenge, finishing at an event.

Being such a lovely day, a gentle stroll around the Lake beckoned as something nice to do, especially as muggle hubby's bike is still awaiting repair (part failed to arrive). So we packed some sandwiches and set off on the Lake Loop, and hoped to collect some extra caches along the way. This was our first one, a nice quick find, exactly where I expected it to be. Plenty of people out and about, making the most of the spring sunshine. TFTC TankEngine

Important caching day for clearing purposes. Got Tuggerong, Tuggerong hill and many other places today. TFTC everyone!
Now for some walking around Tuggerong getting some caches. Some really good ones around here.
Nice quick find here, even though I overlooked the bison tube a couple of times, I don't know how you attached it which was pretty crazy, last one around Tuggerong. TFTC Tankengine!!

Good starting find while on our way around doing the multi. Boris Johnson just got out of ICU and is improving #corona TFTC
Nice little hide in a nice little spot. Every Canberran and their dog are out today, fortunately the location allows for some stealth! Tftc!
Was doing some tidy up and plugged in the GPS for the first time in a bit. I remember doing these caches but couldn't recall if I had logged them but a quick check of the smilies on the map indicated that No - I had completely forgotten. I had wandered up the nearby Urambi Hill and then taken a slightly longer route back to take in a lakeside stroll also. Took a little while to hone in on the correct tree but found it soon enough.
Apologies for the late logging - I'm not sure where the last week has gone. We've taken an interest in the Canberra Mapping Challenge, which means walking the GeoPoodle in different suburbs every weekend which is fun, and makes for variety and discovering new places is always good.
This weekend, with a typical summer day, we headed out late in the day to get close to some cooling water and evening breezes, by walking around Lake Tuggeranong.
This was the first cache of the day, and wasn't far from where we parked. We walked up and quickly found the cache and signed the log.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache TankEngine

I was in Canberra for the week for work, and after checking in to my accommodation, decided to go for a wander around the nearby lake and grab a couple of caches on the way.
It was quite a warm afternoon in Canberra, compared to the cool 19 degrees C I had left in Hobart, so it was nice to go for a stroll on a still evening.
This was my first find for the evening. A nice quick find.
What was interesting was that shortly after I received a message from the CO checking whether or not I had logged the cache in error. The CO had also taken the time to check my previous finds and noted that I had logged a cache in Hobart on the same day..in fact it had been the day before. My goodness, the CO's in Canberra must spend a lot of time checking the logs of every interstate cacher and making contact with them to make sure that they haven't logged in error. Luckily for me, they do have planes that fly out of Tasmania, and I was in fact in the the right place. In fact, it was my third trip to Canberra in 12 months, having visited for work almost exactly the same time last year, and having also attended the Clearwaters mega-event at Easter this year. Canberra is a great place to visit to find caches - there are so many! Thanks to all the Canberra CO's for providing so many opportunities to get out and about and discover Canberra.

Doing a few odd caches around the area and this one was on the way. Found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
A great little hide - quickly found, and on to the next one. We had to dodge some muggles shooting a low budget video production down by the shores.

Checked on this today whilst passing - and noticed it was indeed missing. Cache has been replaced - cache on!
A quick find upon approach.
Looks like a guy will be camping down here as he was unpacking his gear. We made the find while he was making a trip to his car.

A long day caching in Canberra that started with a park run at Lake Tuggeranong, some caches in the lake area and then a move all over Canberra to end up at the event at the southern cross club. Lots and lots of walking and even more hills, but that's no surprise in Canberra. Secretly I actually like the hills and the views that come with it. Only a few DNF's today, my bad and all caches were in good condition! Thanks to all the owners for placing them. Very in the open this one

Found with Tatt2squared and Viper_101....found during our last full day at the Mega... thanks for adding to our Mega experience. TFTC
Found with Key_Tat and Viper_101... with the sound of thunder echoing in the sky we made the 200m trek to GZ... quickly found... now get back before it rains again. TFTC
Another cache we decided to target for the Cacheopoly game due to the CO and its location to another required cache.
The cache was found very quickly after Mr Shifter had injured himself on the way to GZ witha stick digging into his foot (he shouldn't wear sandals while caching) so some first aid was required when we returned to the car.
Thanks for the hide Tankengine.

#4963 8th for today
A great day for a kayak adventure on Lake Tuggeranong before a rare Tankengine event for the Creation Celebration. Joined Kittykatch, Joolay, Smittengranny, CBRChic, Flintstones & Dino, ALL7, Loci612, AKM and Dty73 on our various watercraft over to the nearby islands. The weather was absolutely fantastic with just a small breeze. The water was not too cool, but none of us planning to take a dip. Plans as they say .. CBRChic had a slow motion capsize as she tried to launch much to the amusement of the rest of us. Following our little adventure, we wandered over to the event, had lunch & a custard tart if you were lucky.
Last one for the day. Got a bit lost trying to get he car close to this one, but CC guided me there. Well Google actually. Lovely spot for a cache.
Thanks Tankengine

Australia Day long weekend? Must be time to see HappyUke! Her geospouse always heads to CanCon this weekend, so now that HappyUke has been introduced to the wonders of geocaching, she comes down too and we have a blast! The weekend is so damn hot so we had to be judicious about our cache choices. Today was Tankengine day, and I grabbed quite a few I had been eyeing off for a while.
This cache: another TE cache spotted on the map, so we drove around and parked near by. Amazing how it started to rain as we got out the car! Got more wet walking to this cache than we did when canoeing! Quick find and a slightly drier walk back to the car!
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!
