This was my third option to find a mystery today, and I found it! Yeehee. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Always good to see the number of stations we have around, thanks Aslan* for pointing these to us. This one has seen more activity, but it still in quite good conditions.

Solved these nice informative ones last time up here. Back to get this one to tick off a mystery dot day.

02-Jul-24
The Seagnoid has come to stay for a long weekend and have some caching adventures. Today we had thought about collecting some caches around the Leeston area, then following the road out to Rakaia, and maybe venturing as far as Ashburton. The weather however had other ideas. A bitter wind and grey skies proved to not be very pleasant for caching. We did manage to grab a few dotted around the place, this being one. Thanks for the cache.

Yet another railway station cache. Gotta admit I love these. I have placed about 80 railway station caches and the document used to solve this cache was one f my primary references. So I knew exactly where to look to solve this. Which brings us to today. I am in Christchurch staying with That Darn Bear and we are out again making a dent in my large collection of solved but unfound caches. Nice easy find here, and it gets a favourite the decent writeup and for the memories of my own hides.

24-May-23
I took a slight detour on my way into the city and found a couple of caches. This was the first one I found today. I solved the puzzle a few days ago and found the cache after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.

19-May-23
Thanks for the station series, very interesting and a quick find here today.

13-Mar-23
Passing by the area, so stopped in to grab this. Quickly located in the obvious spot. Had solved this some time ago, so nice to tick off!
TFTC Aslan*, the cache was found in good order Very Happy Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #3835

20-Dec-22
Oops checking notes and spotted we hadn't logged this. Solved a while ago and came out to find you on a blank puzzle dot day. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Aslan*.

14-Oct-22
We solved this and other Christchurch puzzles several years ago, before a previous visit to the city, but weren’t able to make the finds at that time.

This was #10 and our last for the day. Mrs nzk dived under the bushes (one of which was flowering with a few bees!) and found the cache quickly as it was exposed. Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Aslan*, nice to find another one of the series.

29-May-22
A quick find once that child disappeared

07-Mar-22

We are spending several days in the area and with time to look for some of the many solved puzzle caches, some of which have been solved for several years. There was also a few traditionals thrown in the mix.
Several hours and a large carbon footprint later we have a bigger sea of yellow on the map.
The cache was returned as found, above ground level and not as the hint states.
Thank you Aslan*

13-Apr-21
It's been a while since we visited Canterbury and then it used to be for particular caches usually north of the city. This time we based ourselves at Weedons with two goals. To clean up the TWGT caches and find as many of the puzzle caches we solved and accumulated over the years in the area. It's been a very successful few days if we discount changing a tyre in the dark while it's raining at 5.30am. Thank you Aslan*

31-Jan-21
Yet another station for the collection. We have visited many, but this was the first time a train came past GZ just when we were snagging the cache. TFTH!

21-Aug-20
The second day of my work-geocaching/geo-caching-work trip from Nelson to Ashburton. Work largely done and, thanks to the current vagaries of the Air NZ schedule, I have a decent amount of time to cache my way back to Christchurch airport....

Well this is a busy we cut through avoiding the highway. Might be a good or bad thing for cachers wandering across a wee reserve to a GZ in the wet but I think the drivers were more concerned about getting home on a Friday.

Cache soon found from the inside looking out but could have just as easily found from the outside looking in.

Thanks Aslan*

On my way back from a catch up with a friend in Rolleston, the rain had stopped briefly and there was a solved puzzle on my map how could I not stop? A nice quick find, thanks Aslan*

Another railway station puzzle done. More like knee height than ground level.

03-Aug-19
Found today with Injeanious (some logs signed as Team JeJe). We were out today getting some caches for the Mystery at the Museum. It was a great day for a drive out this way and we had some great views of the snow covered alps in places. TFTC!

03-Aug-19
Happy to come out and finally pick this one up. Our last cache of the day. Tftc from team Jeje

18-Jun-19

Going back to Chch through Templeton - that means CookieTime and GeocacheTime!
Spotted the red container from afar - it's shining like a beacon of light! Covered it a bit so it's not that obvious but still easy to find for a geocacher.

03-Jul-18
Had a meeting out this way and managed a quick easy find on this cache, another in the series ticked off. Thanks for the effort that goes in to these caches as well as placing and maintaining a cache.

18-Jun-18
Quick find once you got the right coords. TFTC

17-Jun-18
Easy find once you get the right coords ( thanks CO )

Spotted it from ages away, so I put some brush over top of it so it doesn't get muggled.

13-Jun-18
I don't think it's possible to solve this puzzle anymore. I think the info has been deleted of the web.

26-Apr-18
Once you get the coordinates right it was easy to find

25-Mar-18
Quick find. TFTC

29-Jan-18
Cache was quite visible from a distance as some of the camo has gone. We tried to cover with leaves, but are not quite sure how long they will be there with the wind today. Thanks for another station.

06-Jan-18
Made an error in the solve. Was standing looking thinking "It cant be over there" then I looked down and low and behold cache.

03-Dec-17
Pleased to turn another solved puzzle into a smiley as I passed through today. TFTC Aslan* # 11,621

30-Nov-17
Solved this quite a while ago and have sailed past here several times without remembering to call and sign the log. Traffic was horrendous today so was happy to pull off for a bit. Enjoyed the history. Thanks, Aslan*.

28-Nov-17
Our first ride along this railway station series. First and only stop today, will make future station stops depending on the flow of the traffic and side of tracks we happen to be. Roads and exits, or lack of side exits, sure have changed in this area! Thanks for some transport history, Aslan. SmileWink

05-Nov-17
Keeping the streak alive with a tiki-tour on the way home. A very easy find, I'm not sure if it was always that exposed or not. It was upside down when I arrived, showing the original colour, so I put it back up the right way so the camo showed instead.
TFTC Cool

When we went past GZ I saw Some people in high vests chopping down some dead shrubs. Maybe it would be best if someone checks if the cache is OK?

08-Aug-17
Solved a while ago so really needed to get it off the list. Thanks.

17-May-17
My last search for this hide was unfruitful. It was because I had made a mistake in the puzzle and was looking in wrong place. This time I found it. Thanks for the cool series. I have set myself a calendar challenge. Today was a date that I had only found 2 geocaches in the 4.5 years that I have been geocaching.

Find out more about New Zealand's next big event [Oamaru Geofest](http://oamarugeofest2017.wixsite.com/geocachingevent)

Thanks. Aslan* for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4843 for me.

No problems with solving another in this Railway series.
The hint item that hides the cache is dying, and the cache is now quite visible at GZ. TFTC

20-Feb-17
Had this one worked out- we were keen to add another station to our haul-. It took us a while- looked here and there and nearly gave up- then suddenly spotted it. Don't know how we missed it really- but tucked it in a bit more securely. Thanks again

20-Feb-17
Another one in this series done. Thanks

28-Jan-17
A great morning's caching with purdiepurdie as we smurfed along to her goal of 5000 - Wow!
Lots of laughs along the way.
This was on the way home; I solved it a wee while ago - good to "knock it off" now, on the way home.
Thanks for this cache and the series, Aslan*.

28-Jan-17
CCC, coffee, chat and cache day with kotukuSI. Beautiful day to be out on the plains hunting for a few caches.
Thanks Aslan* for placing the cache and creating the series.

02-Jan-17
A quick solve and a quick find. Thanks for setting up this series. TFTC.

13-Nov-16
We do enjoy this series. Quick find and solve while in the area

20-Sep-16
Solved this some little while ago and had left the finding and signing until I was next in the area with time to cache. However it proved to be not as straight forward a find as I hoped. It was just as well I had my cellphone with me to check the cache's website - discovered that I had made a typo of the longitude minutes. [B)] Last cache find for today. Thanks for another interesting historical cache Aslan*.

17-Sep-16
A quick grab on the way home, left a bit of blood behind. Cheers, still no train.

12-Sep-16
Daughter twisted my arm, and I decided to ditch work for the day and go caching with her instead! Unfortunately I could not disappear for the whole day, as there was a night class to be taught, but we had an amazing day and found heaps of caches before I had to head back. I climbed under so many hedges that even halfway through class, I was removing vegetation from myself. Still better than when I brought a spider into the yoga room and cause a small upheaval... One of the funniest experiences of the day? When I managed to climb out of the hedge well before the muggle walked past, but I was sitting there on the ground by the path, with an open semi-ripe plastic tomato, pretending like it was just another day Big Grin Thank you to all the CO's for the placements!!

Planned to go out with mum for a whole bunch of caching for the day - try clear out a bit of the south side of town to help with the kind of sky high goal of getting my caches within 80km of home down to within 1 pocket query - required about 231 more finds as of this morning, but looks like the final find count for today was 53!! And that was over the course of about 7 hours. So made a bit of a dent in that number!! Good to clear the map and some more of the solved & unfound puzzles out!

After clearing almost all of old Tai Tap Rd out, mum & I had some solved and unfound caches on the list between us that were semi nearby, so we decided to make a dent in them, finding other caches in the area while we were at it - but letting the solved & unfound dictate our route!!

Consec caching day # 1408

TFTC!! Smile

11-Sep-16
A quick find, the cache was visible as I walked passed. Nice historical puzzle too. Cheers.

A lovely day for a drive into the countryside and for lunch and a cache or 15. A nice birthday present for me!!!

Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

No luck today

Cache number 154. Thanks for the history lesson. Cache was quite difficult to get to but got there. TFTC

12-Aug-16
Found on a lunchtime geocaching expedition on a bleak Friday with StreetWalker to increase our finds for the 12th Aug to a nice round 10.
A busy location with vehicles coming from all directions, though we were hidden from view mostly. While I battled to look at the onfr of a wide fueho, SW found the cache in a more easily accessible spot. TFTC.

12-Aug-16
#12880. Good to pickup another solved puzzle. Cache wasn't hard to spot, but it was a bit tricky to reach in and get it. TFTC.

10-Aug-16
Having begrudgingly done some more reading up about Christchurch railways, I managed to work out the coordinates - oh who am I kidding - I love it! Wink Arrived at the location to find a couple of KiwiRail techs very nearby working on the tracks...I managed to find the cache, while still staying out of sight... just. Another great bit of history on one of my favourite subjects. Many thanks. TFTC (3103)

Out and about with TG tonight on a raid to score some mints and mop up anything else that we drove past. The evening threatened to be cold and rainy. It held off on the rain and the cold. So all in all a really nice night out. Not too crazy only 29 for me and not too many kms under the belt tonight and even home at a reasonable hour. Nice.
On the way back into town and stopped by to do the paper work. An excited dog barked at us and it's owner greeted us as we got back to the car. Fun series.

Thanks for the cache Aslan*.

I'm first to put my hand up and say I hate Puzzel caches. But I learnt alot about the area and the history so thank you for that. The cache was a easy retrieval, logged signed and replaced. Thank you for bringing me to this place and placing this cache Aslan* from Mr Cuddly Brick , cache 1354 on this mighty day the 25 July 2016 Mr Cuddly Bricks You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCspYYJI5ZIvUE9ncq1_rpYw

After the madhouse which was Riccarton in the holidays this was a quiet find. Once again enjoyed the history lesson. Had no idea, before we started these that there were so many railway lines. Thanks.
