Final location has had a makeover

Cache is missing. The final has had a drastic makeover lately and the original hide is no viable. Will need to have a rethink.

A nice easy solve for this one, however, finding it was a different story! This was our third visit here. The first time was dark, & as soon as we pulled up, an angry sounding dog at the near by house went nuts so we gave it a quick look & moved on. So we returned during daylight hours hoping it wouldn't upset the dog. There was no sign or sound of it so we began our search. However after only a few minutes a car pulled into the same driveway and sat in their car watching us. We pretended to be on the phone until they eventually moved on, then had another look around until a kid came out and leaned on the gate watching us, so we moved on again.
We decided we would get some advise on where it was hidden before returning for a third time so we could get in & out quickly. We got that at the event tonight, so stopped by here before heading home.
No problems this time. No dog or muggles, & a nice quick find.
Thanks Push'n East

Nice new hide, took some finding with 2BB. On a wee trip down to the area doing some mini trails, this one fell within range and had been previously solved, so we grabbed it while passing. Signed 2BB 1BB for 2 Bulbars and Blenheim Bear. Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear! Smile

Have replaced. Slightly different hide than before but coordinate still the same.

We looked yesterday then spoke to a friend who had found it so here we are again but no luck

Checked this one on my way home from work and couldn't find it. Will replace in due course.

Out and about on Wellington Anniversary Day with No1Son. Had figured this out last night but having got to GZ was not entirely convinced we were in the right place but No1Son spotted it from a distance, grabbed, signed and left as found. Thanks for the quick puzzle and placement Push'n East.

#1181. I've travelled out here today in search of some caches placed more than two years ago to help me complete the first stage of the Rangitoto Island Geocaching License series. 6 were collected today that fitted this category plus 3 others so 9 out of 9 found between myself and little miss (not that she was much help, and actually impeded my cache finding at times).

I recognised the code as soon as I looked at this one so then it was just a matter of looking up the required information and off we go. I've actually made a previous attempt at finding this one but at the time it was raining and a had a grumpy 3 yr old with me so didn't give it sufficient attention. I'm back today with just little miss and much better weather. There were a few workmen still at the site opposite but they were out of sight while I was searching. After a wander up and down a few times the cache was spotted, extracted, signed and returned. Off on our way again.

After walking the Tongariro Crossing with daughter and son-in-law and seeing them off on their next leg of the Te Araroa Trail, we are spending a few days caching in the Manawatu area. Having spent a second night in our camper at the Ashhurst Domain, we headed for Feilding today to find the multitude of puzzle caches that have been published there over the last couple of years.
A quick solve of this one, and a slightly tricky hide. As we parked up we made a wrong assumption about the hide, but soon expanded our search and spotted the cache. Nicely done, thanks.

Today I have team up with Scoria and our plan for the day is to complete some Muti caches and solve some Mystery caches in Fielding

Had solve this one plus some others before coming over here to Fielding so all we need to do now is to find it

Quick and easy Scoria was heading back to the car with cache in hand before I even got out of the car

Over in Fielding today with D6NZ to collect a few of the multi and mystery caches. There were a good half dozen or so mysteries we had presolved including this one.

Cache was quickly retrieved, there was however a little delay in putting it back due to a muggle (or potential cacher) appearing just as we had written in the log.

Cheers.

Time to log our little trip to the Mega in Turangi. Enroute we detoured via Feilding for the Yumfest dinner, a night cache and a bit of puzzle gathering. Of course there were traditionals, a few multis, some earthcaches and lots of coffee stops to endure. Most found with bkj97, Edvern or the crew we stayed with in Turangi. Now of course the task of logging them all becomes a necessity. My apologies for the "cut and paste" logs. I will add favourites where I think it was particularly memorable. Thanks to all the cache owners for giving us things to do on our journey. It seemed strange to drive back to the Kapiti Coast post Mega without stopping for any caches. Happy caching. TFTCSL

Needed a cache for a dot-day and we had an errand to run over in Feilding so decided to grab this cache while over there. Solved the puzzle some time ago and didn't have any problems getting the final coordinates, however visiting GZ there didn't seem to be any obvious spot to hide a cache where the GPSr was indicating. Widened the search area slightly and spotted a likely location - bingo! Thanks for the puzzle Push'n East.

Solved the puzzle and nice hide at the end. Thanks

I have been accumulating a list of solved Feilding puzzle caches for some time, this was one of the more recently solved ones. I managed to get lucky and my first solution was the correct one. A quick find today during a caching visit to the area.

Aha, I did like this puzzle and it did not need to be a mathematical whizz or computer expert to solve it, just good research and you come up with the plan. This is a very different puzzle than i have met before so thank you for this interesting approach. It is in a very apt placement and i used to come down this road every fortnight to pick up an elderly gentleman and bring into Palmerston North for 5.00pm service at church. Thank you for the puzzle, the cache and another smiley face. This deserves a fav point.

This puzzle didn't trouble me for too long as I quickly worked out its secret. It was still fun though.

All was quiet at ground zero this morning. I had a quick search in the wrong place and then had a think about what might be a better hiding place. TFTC, Push'n East.

An interesting puzzle to solve. A quick stop off in a beautiful day to find the cache. TFtC Smile

I worked this puzzle out a while ago and thought I would save it for a special day when needed and today seems to be the day as its windy and wet and miserable outside and a puzzle is needed to get a special badge today TFTC

21-Aug-16
No problems with the puzzle. Finding the cache was a bit harder. We searched a couple of wrong spots for a while before eventually checking somewhere else and quickly spotting the cache.
Fun cache.
Thanks.

Had a brief look at this one and had a fair idea how to work this one out which proved to be correct(this does not happen very often) so worked through the puzzle and soon came up with the coordinates. Out and about today so of to the final. Didnt take to long to locate. Tftc an puzzle and of course another smiley.

Prompted by the Mission GC challenge we came over to Feilding to seek our souvenir, so it was a good opportunity to pick up this one, which we'd solved right at the outset. It was a good little puzzle and the final did indeed link up nicely with the theme. It was very quiet here this afternoon, so no muggle troubles. The cache does seem a bit exposed - hope it lasts all right. TFTC

Quickly solved this puzzle this morning and then decided to try and find it. All was quiet at GZ and I found the cache nicely tucked away after a short search.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

An enjoyable puzzle to solve, thanks Push'n'East. Finding the container was the second puzzle. Took a while, getting distracted by a false possibility along the way. Geocaching instincts then took over and it was happily located. Fortunately we had parked our car fairly strategically so that helped cover our activities from nearby houses.

A quick solve Smile , but now I have to go to work and I so want to go and get this!! Twisted Oh well - that's geocaching.

With the co-ordinates in my hot hand I went to the location arriving just before 3pm. But the area was swarming with muggles - of the workmen type. Sat in the car, waited, took a wander, poked around and felt too conspicuous so popped home and returned just before 4pm. Whilst waiting in the car for more muggles to disappear (and double checking the numbers) SearchSteve arrived with his son. We both searched. Then Marisa&Kaleb turned up. Further thorough searching. Finally located what we decided must be the cache. Several tools utilised trying to get at the cache. After quite a concerted effort it was finally retrieved and we three signed the log for a joint {FTF}. This could be a tricky retrieve for a wee while during working hours. TFTC

26-Jul-16
joint {FTF} with sunju and SearchSteve with Steve managing to extract the cache after many attempts with different tools, very busy area with the builders on the other side of the road, rather sneaky and could have taken much longer, thanks for the placement.

26-Jul-16
Thanks Push'n East for the cool puzzle which required a bit of straightforward research.
As Sunju and Marisa&Kaleb have said, this one was a bit of a mission... however we persevered and were rewarded with a blank log sheet! Yay!! Joint {FTF} and another puzzle solved.
It was great to have the help of other cachers as I felt less conspicuous with their company.

I think there will soon be a lot more muggles looking out towards GZ so it may become even harder to retrieve this one without being spotted acting suspiciously!
