These will be cut and paste, so apologies in advance. Had a very busy day around the district. Staying at Grumpys, so parked the cachemobile up, walked the road for a while and got onto the track, Lytteltonwitch and I had a brisk evening walk and picked up some smileys. Many were on the ground and nearly all were pretty wet. TFTC.
*Another good find going from cache to cache with woolwood9.*

Good find on the trail.
2 containers found, both fairly wet, combined then to one hide.

Yet another willow.... found and signed with Campmotherandken. The weather has settled and day is going well TFTC
Heading part-way back to Christchurch today from Lake Tekapo and stopped for a couple of hours’ stroll along this track. I walked at least 2.5 kms before turning around and turning back, finding 10 caches all up and bombing out on one. My only DNF was the one immediately before this one. After a few minutes’ searching for this cache, I was beginning to think DNF thoughts again! I then read the previous log and realised it wasn’t going to be where the hint was suggesting I look. Still took a bit more searching before I laid my hands on it. Signed just one of the logs. That was my last one in this series. Many thanks to BrownscacheDiversBCD for all these caches. #3499. TFTC.
Second time lucky. We found the cache exposed on the ground and thought it might be a good idea to cover it a bit. A good hiding spot is the long grass at the tree and when we removed it to find space for the box, we found the old cache - still intact and dry. So both boxes are stacked now at the same spot.

Out for a morning ride and hopefully finish off this river track power trail. We have done bits and pieces over the last week and have enjoyed greatly. Our thanks especially to the CO who has done a excellent job and seems to be right on top of any maintenance issues.
Sorry about the cut and paste but all were easily found and will be noted if otherwise
100% there - found covered in long grass.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our weekend trip to Geraldine. We had been eyeing up these bike trail caches for a while and finally we have brought our bikes with us. The weather was perfect (maybe a little too hot at times) and we biked the Vance Rd to the Orari Bridge section of the trail. A few DNFs, and a few not looked for, but overall a successful day.
Yup, lots of willow here. Log book a bit slimey looking so didn't want to touch it. TFTC.

Today's adventure on the G.M.B.T. is the section is from Bennet Rd east to where I left off yesterday and then up to the Orari River Bridge.
I managed to make my mark on a very sodden logsheet.
Cheers for the cache.

Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
Lots of willows but spied quickly.

Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots, needed 43 more caches to hit the 10000 finds mark think I got 62 for the day trip. Many Thanks Bitsprayer.
Phase two of the cycle leg of the caching trip to South Canterbury. Parked at the end of Bennett Rd, up the east bank to the big bridge and back now the west bank. Lovely day and really nice place to spend it - lots of cool caches too. Thanks.
In Geraldine ca(t)ching up with BCD. A beautiful day to cycle part of the G.M.B.T with the added bonus of the CO joining me
Another quick find here. TFTC

Day 9 - of our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara, & myself) epic adventure leaving Oamaru for Geraldine and the cycle trail today. Tobys at SH1 , and Zara at Main North Road. We are on Jack and Jill, with pedal power to the fore.
Another willow and another snag and tag. Cheers

Willow? What willow? There are no willows at GZ. Not here, anyway.
Taybeedragon and I are cycling the trail and enjoying every minute of it. The weather gods turned on a nice day - an excellent day off from the rigours of heading home after a week's geofesting in Oamaru.

out on my bike exploring all the bike tracks and grabbing some caches on the way a nice day but the grass is wet and so are my shoes allready
Spotted this on a little was off. Up from Mosgiel on a caching binge in Geraldine. Nice easy find. Beautiful weather and a beautiful spot. TFTC
Surprisingly wet after being in that position. Just usable. Need a few more Nor westers. Thanks. Nice to be able to spot easily after a DNF.
Out getting some points for the souvenir and after a fail on all 3 ftf in Geraldine I still had to find some more to get enough points so time to clean up a few more of these.
Log was soaked just managed to make a scribble on it tftc BCD

Having stayed in Geraldine overnight. (Geraldine Motels and village inn excellent for accommodation and food). we took the dog for a bike ride along the MTB tracks. Nice riding and good caches, though some logs were a bit wet. (sorry, we've lost the bit of paper which recorded which needed maintenance). all went well till Jo and Beck (the dog) mislaid Joe, or vice versa on the loop. Luckily we both eventually arrived back at the car. Many thanks, we'll be back for more on our way south.
hello Mr BCD i decided it was about time to have another go at this trail and here I am 5/5
The leave passes for Karma Reprint and myself matched up, so onto our bikes to attempt to clean up the series in one day. 42km and 12ish hours later it's mostly done. Second leg is down from the bridge, nice track! Cheers
A fairly quick find on a longer ride around the middle section of G.M.B.T. although we've yet to see the willow. The cache is of course micro, not small. TFTC
I spent a long time looking here but my eyes did not spot. I know it's there somewhere.
I thought I had an FTF then, but it was really just a new log.
Never mind,
Cheers and thanks,

Great day for a bike ride and a new track and a good Number of finds . Perfect. TFTC
5. day of our 3 month bicycle tour of NZ, and since we are staying a few days in Geraldine, naturally we had to log some caches . Tftc!
Here for the weekend with my wife. This side of the river was much smoother that the other side.
JDScout and I spent a night in Geraldine in our camper van. We put the bikes on the back. I made a pocket query, mostly of this series. Day 2 was just as fun. Thankfully there was lots of shade on this very hot day.

Funny looking willow log is very wet, but managed some hieroglyphs that should look like the beers_good thing.
Looked for ages with Kakariki, lots of brambles between the poplars and the willows.... after seeing another poplar called a willow later in the route, maybe we were looking in the wrong place?? Or maybe the title didn't mean that? Who knows!
Lots of young sycamore and even more blackberries at ground zero, sadly cache not found.
With today dawning fine it was time to get on my MTB and cyclocache my way along some of the various Geraldine MTB trails. Parked at the Western Seaward Road and first headed north up to and over (make that under) SH79 to seek 3 caches north of the SH before heading back to the cachemobile for a spot of morning tea. Once fed and watered it was time to seek out the caches south of Seaward Rd. I didn't quite make it all the way to Vance Rd as boredom and frustration with the poor poor physical state of many of the cache logs set in.
I won't be logging Needs Maintenance logs but will just mention something, where required, of the state of each cache.
Those elephant tracks in the long grass sure do help. TFTC

On our way to Dunedin.
The plan was to cycle the entire trail but the continuous drizzle and the long wet grass curtailed that.
We did about ten and then went to the Geraldine camping ground to dry out and hunker down for the rest of the day.
Nice trail to follow through the long grass saved time.

Went for an afternoon bike ride along this bank of the river - started at the Bennett Rd access point, rode north to the highway and back, then south to #36 and back, taking the various loops, to find as many of the caches along here as I could. An enjoyable ride with an interesting variety of cache hides, one or two river crossings up to knee depth, and plenty of mud in a few places after the recent rain. Initially the weather was sunny and warm but there were peals of thunder from the hills and later on it rained quite heavily. However I had plenty of wet weather gear so was warm and dry where it mattered. It took a bit of a search to find this one but persistence paid off. Signed log, TFTC.
A challenging series of caches today with wet grass and a number flooded sections of track to negotiate.
Most of the finds we made today took some time to nail down as our GPS gz seemed to be a way out from where we located many of the caches. The hints were helpful. TFTC

Found on a brisk walk along the stockbank. Rapidly clouding over and wind picking up. Will bring bikes and complete this track later. TFTC.
I noticed this set of new caches this morning at the Mt Cook YHA, and thought there might be a chance of a {FTF}, and WAHOO when I got to GZ there was a nice clear log. Thanks so much for the cache @1315.
Time to go home, even though the mountains are looking lovely today, under blue skies.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.
