Accurate coordinates led to the discovery of a very different style of hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks bertoady for the cache.

I love getting paid for geocaching. As a linehaul trucker, on my last day of the week, on my homeward trips, I always get in a few caches on the way home. This time with my lovely wife Geomum007 who came on this trip with me. TFTC

Found today while visiting the cemetery to photograph for our Facebook group. A bit unnerving with the sound of gunfire from the nearby range, but we walked away unscathed. The meat ants were a bigger danger.Could do with a new container as the lid no longer fits properly. TFTC

Thanks for placing, very cool.RVCL.

Found by Mary and David at 10:35. A FP here even before M got out of ther GeoPrado. She loves cemeteries for the carved symbolism of the headstone designs and the stories in the epitaphs. Much to see here, but time was not on her side. Lots of iron grave fences too. Retrieved "Survivor: The Tribe Has Spoken" TB. Our thanks to bertoady.

Found on part of our ‘north for warmer weather’ trip from North East Vic to Central QLD via Curtis Island! Todays leg Gladstone to …. maybe Comet- depending on weather.

Thank you to all the COs who maintain the caches along the way.

This was our last find of the day.
Made the drive south from Rocky and parked just off dusk to find this cache hide.
No green frogs or spiders were noticed as I wrestled with the lid.
Added our names to the logsheet.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this hide bertoady.

20-May-23
Whoos, went on 1st and had to leap the barbed wire.
On return the log to the cache container, saw a huge spider on the side of the container. Was that there when Mr TiedyeSmileys was holding it to his tummy trying to get the lid off ?

TFTC and greetings from Tassie

On a trip home from visiting our daughter in Rosedale and had a Travelbug to drop off ( had it way too long) so decided to pick this spot, off the highway a little but a great hide, if you are towing there is the cemetery driveway to turn around but not for big vans/trailers, ok for camper trailers and small single axle vans (we have a J-Pod) though.

Cache container needs replacing as the bottom has nearly rusted off.

Dropped off a Travelbug and retrieve only one of the three in the Cache as they wanted to go South and we are going North.

07-Mar-23
Arrived at the GZ and walked straight into the cemetery, look down at co-ords and realised that I was no were near it. Once I fought the long grass I got to it. Dropped off a few TB to be moved along.

On a drive from Hervey bay to yeppoon for some R&R as only one piece of the triple turmoil.

Was on the wrong side of the fence at first.

08-Aug-22
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 123. Raglan to Gladstone. After a night serenaded by trucks and trains, I had a slow start to the morning. The first item on the agenda was the three caches around Raglan I had left for today, and then it was off to Gladstone via Mount Larcom for an amazing sausage roll. After setting up at the show grounds, I was off for some caching, starting with the LABs at the botanic gardens. A fun afternoon around town.

The road had been done up recently, but that did not affect the cache. A nice area, but I did not venture into the cemetery this time.

Thanks for the cache bertoady

That’s a nice peaceful location for a cache. All is well but for some rust. It was a bit difficult getting the lid back on but the basic design should see it through any rain. Thanks for a chance to break the drive ‘bertoady’. Happy geocaching.

TFTC. As we. Make. Our way north to the Townsville Mega we are stopping off to collect caches between our overnight stops. A quick find here before heading back to the Highway.

07-Apr-22
Heading back to Rockhampton, we took a side road and made our way to the Raglan cemetery.
it was very peaceful at GZ, and there were three small green frogs at the bottom of the outer container guarding the Hide today. They appeared somewhat nonplussed that we had disturbed them.
We carefully replaced everything so they could continue their day in peace.
Thanks bertoady

06-Apr-22
Day 4 of our road trip to the MEGA at Townsville.
Moving on from Agnes Water to Rockhampton today, and aiming to collect a few more smiles on the map to fill gaps in the Challenge I am working on.
This is cache 3 for the day.
Took a stop for a drink at the pub before working out how to do this (so does beer make you cleverer?).
Got to GZ, and still some work to do, and this days hesitancy to meet a "wriggly stick" in the long grass continued. Worked my way around on much lower grassed areas to GZ. Okay, went through a barbed wire fence mistakenly from the wrong direction, but got there in the end. As the grass was lower the way I came, I still retreated back that way despite a much shorter option being available.
Cache is in good condition, and now has our names scribbled in it.
Thanks for the cache!

After the rapidly spreading Covid outbreak forced us to cancel our plans to attend the Wangaratta mega, a decision was made to stay in Qld and head North on a road trip instead.

Mr green tree frog was quite surprised when I lifted the lid, so I let him be. Log
is rather soggy.

17-Nov-21
Found with krcamber on our road trip. The container was quite hard to open and may benefit from a little love.

Beautiful green frog was in the hole with the cache and I thought it was fake until it moved! With krcamber’s assistance, we managed to replace the cache though thanks for the cache, bertoady

Swearah located the cache easily enough, getting into it was another matter! Finally managed to prise it open and signing duties completed. A nice big green tree frog was happily guarding the cache giving Swearah a little fright! TFTC!

We have been farm sitting near Rockhampton, so hoping to clear out Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gracemere, Gladstone and Mt Morgan! Now moving around again. Today, spending time between Rockhamton and Gladstone.

Have been visiting my family forna couple of weeks in Mackay and kinka beach. Its time to head south again and restart my life. Along the way I thought I'd pick up a few caches. Today is probably the nicest weather I've seen since being in the Capricorn and of course it's the day I'm leaving, still I know the rain has been very needed all round so no real complaints.
What I do need now is a coffee.
The cache container is close to needing replacement, there is a hole in the bottom and the lid is hard to remove and replace. 2 of the listed trackables are not in residence so I only swapped the one. Tftc

01-Jan-21
TFTC. Nice quiet spot.

Out for the afternoon with ICU. This was a great place to leave some of their trackables. Retrieved Roger the Reel which had been with ICU a short time ago. Going to help him to travel a little further afield when I return to SEQ shortly.

Car back on the road off to Rockhampton picking up a few caches on the way. Quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to bertoady. Didn't try to knock on the door, not ready yet too much geocaching to do.

TFTC,
Now heading out of town after being forced to spend time using shanks pony while the van was getting some TLC this morning.
When you are here having found 10 caches yesterday, it wasn't easy but worthwhile getting 1 cache. Much easier with the vehicle to get us around and we picked up 7 caches today going to Rockhampton.
Added a favourite, exchanged 2 trackables and visited others.

06-Aug-20
Well pulled up at the Raglan Pub for the night and discovered there is a cache so off I went straight up over the hill bush bashing only to find there is a road right beside the cache. Hmm wondered why it was a 1.5 terrain. Anyhow found and signed log then returned via the road. Thanks for the cache.

Holy hell, cemetery beside a rifle range, no rest here! A bit disconcerting and really loud but easy find

15-Feb-20
Nice little cemetery. Travel bugs are quite a rarity these days and so it was nice to see quite a few in this BnB. Will move a couple on.

04-Feb-20
We checked the map and saw that if we went up this road we would be able to keep driving and not need to turnaround. We saw that there was 8 TB's listed and, indeed, there was 8 there. Again another safe place for parking, this is important to us. T 3 x TB's L 1 x TB SL TFTC

Stopped on our drive north to swap TBs. TFTC

Day 3 of our road trip to QOGM in Blackall. Today we are caching from Calliope to Emerald and finding caches along the way.
Many thanks to all the COs for placing these caches so that we enjoy our trip through central Queensland.

28-Sep-19
While spending a couple of nights in Mount Larcom we opted for finding caches north and south if our current digs.
We drove via Ambrose, Raglan. Marmor and Bajool before heading to the coast at Port Alma. We then back tracked to Mount Larcom before heading south via River Ranch to Calliope. In total we searched for 18 caches and found 16.

We are always delighted to find nice, big, safe TB hotels. We retrieved the trackable that was in the cache and left another very small one.
We were also delighted to find a pathtag ‘in the wild’ so to speak and will soon add it to our collection.

Many thanks for the hide bertoady

We're heading south again (thank God, this heat & humidity!) after visiting relatives & friends in Rockhampton. We needed a large enough cache to drop off a travel bug looking for banana country and nearly all caches in Rocky seem to be smalls & extra smalls. This cache looked perfect. Hopefully someone will be able to carry the bug further north to Tully or Innisfail. Thanks

13-Oct-18
Found thankyou.

Thanks for the large hide. Hoping to grab a Tb but previous ppl had grabbed em. Large excavator currently parked here.

En route to Rockhampton
We had an overnight road stop next to a local hotel, enjoyed an evening meal there.
Today we toured some of the oulying small farming roads following the geocache trail. Found a good variety of locations & caches.
We left a TB here.
Thanks for placing this cache bertoady

01-Sep-18
Well that was super easy. Took the TBs as going further south. TFTC

17-Jul-18
Never one to like an empty B&B, I left three trackables here for the next few finders. I picked them up in France, this is their first drop off in Australia. A slightly different environment for them here! I was pleased when I realised where this cache was bringing me, an interesting location. I let Skip out for a bit of a wander and sniff around while I signed the log and logged the trackables into the cache. Thanks is for placing this larger cache to take trackables bertoady

We came across your cache, bertoady, while on our way home from a few days on the Cap Coast .

Enjoying your caches bertoady. Picked up a TB that was not registered as being dropped off so the owner can have some continuity.

Attended an event in Yeppoon yesterday and this morning making our way south to over night in Bargara where I have a few hides to maintain. On arrival close to GZ was worried that the hide had disappeared thanks to all the grading that had been carried out. Container still there but I think not in the way the the CO had left it. Private message sent to CO. Log Good.

What a pity the cemetery is in need of maintenance- I’ve just returned from Europe where cemeteries are immaculate and you only keep the grave for 40 years tops AND you have to maintain it. TFTC

Finally heading south. staying a few days in Mt Larcom so that we could do a geo tour of the surrounding area.

A geocaching roadtrip is an amazing thing. It takes lots of preparing, planning and pre puzzling to ensure time on the road is maximised. I have to say I exhibited none of these attributes as we readied ourselved for this roadtrip. I was fortunately joined by the energizer bunny (seffnjarah) and the Square Jawed Mountain Man (Crookedpete) who both like to prove how capable they are as the alpha males of the Bromance. While there is often much chest beating and tantrums, we manage to remain positive and end up with a good plan of attack.
We set off on Friday lunch time (so CP had time to make himself pretty) and returned late Sunday nigh, traveling some 2000klms, approx 70 caches of varying D/T Ratings, in just on 54 hours. Sadly there were a few DNF's (which some of the team took harder than others), but we saw many different cache styes, and some amazing places. Thanks to all the CO's who placed these caches for us to find.
A little detour for SNJ to obtain some obscure challenge in 'whonoeswhere' Europe. Simply a must do! A quick find for us and we were on our way.

20-May-17
It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches including this one, a few wee hill climbs, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.

This cache was needed for a Bug challenge (yeah - you read that right, and it is a bit weird), that Seff is working on in England. A quick find here.

Thanks bertoady

I have found and signed challenge cache in the UK that requires you to find 25 caches with the word "bug" in it. Unfortunately the trend these days is to use the abbreviation TB rather than travel bug in cache names so trying to find a qualifying cache is like finding hens teeth. So when I spotted this one along our chosen route it was added to our itinerary despite some protests from the others. Dropped off a few TBs to restock the cache for future finders. TFTC
