I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi FissieCrew
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

No luck, but also tried this in the dark. Could have made it easier, could have made it harder. You'll never know until you know.

Tried looking in the dark but only found an eclipse mint tin lid even though it should be a sistema. Could still be there.
Off on a road trip to Chch for the weekend. With limited time and raining on and off. We still managed to get in a bit of caching along the way. Down the East cost and back up the West cost was the plan but stormy weather put a stop to that. With no roads open to get home on we stopped in Kaikoura for an unplanned extra night. So thank you for for the caches you placed out there for us to find we had fun and frustration finding them along the way. Looking forward to the next trip to find the ones we missed. Apologies for the cut and paste.
Motorhoming around South Island with three kids. Awesome find for them! Amazing spot for photos. TFTC
No trouble with this one today. Much less cold down at sea level compared to the hill lookout where we have just been.
Kaikoura one of the wonders that is New Zealand. After you have found this just sit back and take in the view.
LEST WE FORGET..
Woohoo a long weekend and a good excuse to get away ...I usually just drive through kaikoura but this time I've decided to stay for 3 nights on a caching mission...
Time to get the bike out for a few along the front..
But first a quick find here ..yes definitely postcard material

Spent the morning going to the ANZAC parade then swimming with the seals. Very cool! Stopped at the nearby restaurant for lunch. TFTC!
Nice and easy find and of course with a photo. One can still see the aftermath of the earthquake in 2016. The change of the seabed is incredible.

Ducking between the raindrops today so had the place to ourselves, even though it is Easter Friday and there are lots of visitors here. Didn't see any whales. Cache is all good. TFTC
The other half found this cache on our evening walk just by chance. Of course, none of us had a pen so I came back the next day to sign the logbook. Great exploring here for the kiddos and it was a fantastic sunset. Thanks!
Found on an evening walk while having an overnight stop in Kaikoura and driving down to Christchurch the next day. And what a tremendous view it is. TFTC
Christmas Day walk around Kaikoura in the drizzly horizontal rain. Shame we missed the views but perfect conditions for muggle free caching! We clambered around before geokid6 found it where 3 of us had apparently already looked! Tftc
Quick search for the rock wadnt long before i spotted something
Thank you for the cache

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now to the next one!*

Here on a day out in Kaikoura. Dodged the roadworks to make a quick find. Bit rainy and chilly today so didnt stay long. Thanks
Skirted around the roadworks to collect this one. Great views and lovely day! TFTC
We skipped over these few caches the other day due to the car hop being on. Now all the cars have left we could safely hunt for a few more caches. tftc
Arrived in Kaikoura to collect the TMGT caches and find the new Lab caches.
No parking anywhere near this cache while they are digging a big ditch.
Glad it was the weekend. Parked at the pub and walked to GZ to make a quick find.
Nice views of the mountains alright.

We drove past here yesterday and GZ was crawling with road workers. Today it was a beautiful empty GZ. I stepped down onto the rocks and... immediately spotted the cache (it was out in the open a bit).
I retrieved it, signed the log, and popped it back with a bit of "camo" in front.

TFTC a great way to go rock pooling too around the area. Carys’ group Rd KHS
spacenarwhale and I were heading to the library, but decided to stop for a cache first. We had a wonderful time exploring the rocks down by the sea before heading back up to find the cache. She was able to spot it without ducking and crouching, so was first to the container. We signed and returned it a little bit more camouflaged.
Thank you for the cache; this might be my furthest south yet!

We went to walk around on the beach, we found some rocks and there were lots of little crabs under them.
I found it!

I am spending today caching in and around Kaikoura. Finding a bunch of caches, old and new. This is my first visit to Kaikoura since the earthquake and it looks like it's been nearly 10 years since I found any caches here. That's a long time between drinks! The weather was stunning today. Blue skies and warm, my car said it got up to around 20C today. Very warm for the middle of June I think. Anyway, I had a great day so thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. This one took me longer to find than it should have done. I kind of overthought the hint so was looking at things from the wrong angle. I was almost about to give up when I had a quick check on something from a different perspective and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Not a good day for photos (see attached) but a walk full of interest. Almost as many birds as on the Northumberland coast! TNLN; TFTC.
Yes, another great photo op on this gorgeous peninsula. Not too many muggles around. SL. TFTC.
Cache was a quick find and now waiting for people to pass so that I can return it
Near the end if a very enjoyable peninsula walk . Found with mr c on our travels from the UK thank you
Found with orth71.
I was looking at the scenery Mrs geo cacher went straight for the goal.

Having an electric bike adventure this afternoon so got here super quick for an easy find thanks to the hint. TFTC
Had family from Holland that wanted to do whale watch. So a day trip from Christchurch. We dropped them of and went GC. Wanted to get this bay as enjoy view and area. Made it harder than we should have but views great. Thanks for this cache jofish3.
Third cache of the day on a ramble around the peninsula for some high FP geocaches. This one gave me a bit of strife but got there in the end. All good here.
**In the end it was a walk of around 12 km and found sixteen geocaches with two DNFs.** TFTC

Family holiday time...loaded up with bicycles to find some fun tracks. A couple nights Kaikoura, a couple in Blenheim & then finally a couple nights in Richmond.
Super hot today (31 degrees!)...After settling into our South Bay accommodation we drove over to the Esplanade, parked up, unloaded the bikes and bicycled down and around to the peninsula and seals.
Still hot and plenty of people enjoying the beach. Nice stop here to admire the exposed rocks. Nice find and sign here by Mr12.

I headed down to Kaikoura from Blenheim today. The main purpose was the Geo Tour Caches. Found a few others along the way as well. No problem here. Cheers and TFTC
During our holiday in this beautiful country we came to Kaikoura. Today we had a walk around Kaikoura with a few Caches including this one.

Boneybruce and I were stranded south of the Rangitata with both bridges closed, so our plans to get around all the TMGT caches of the South island were foiled, but did manage to get from Oamaru up here to Kaikoura today after one bridge re-opened today and we managed to get through the entirely NZTA generated traffic jam. Anyway, checked into my motel for the night and then came to check out some caches before going to bed. My phone took me to the wrong spot here at first - fitted the clue but no cache, but eventually I worked my way back around to where it did seem more likely and the cache was quickly located. TFTC!!!

Decided to grab as many caches as we could on our way to Picton on a very nice spring day. Thanks CO for the cache.
Woke up early to do the peninsula walkway before the day became too hot. Found the caches without too much difficulty along the track. Cheers
TCTC. A quick trip north to Kaikoura with KSI. Talked about for too long - now we are here enjoying the area.
Out for a wee hunt after dinner. Really great with less people around.
Excellent hint made this a quick find.

Out of DUNEDIN and headed to Nelson for a week. On a mission to tick off our 2000th cache on this trip. On our journey home now.
