We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to DavidNarelle for the generation of this nice cache B.S.D Sub (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 136 - Mount Isa Day 1. Today is the first time in several days I have been in an area with a plethora of caches. It was still a warm morning, even though it is not as hot as it was further west. I managed some very interesting caches, including a gadget and a where-i-go. I did a couple of Labs and settled on a mine tour for tomorrow. There is still lots to do, and I am sure there will be plenty for another visit one day. I did some shopping and headed home for the evening before cooking dinner in the van. Another day around town tomorrow, I am planning on visiting the Dam after the mine tour.It is very rocky here. The Gps had my a bit high up at first, but when I looked around I saw a good spot and pulled out the cache. Log signed I was putting it back when something small but very wriggly headed from under a removed stone to the hole with the cache. I have no idea what it was, it went very quickly. Thanks for the cache DavidNarelle49013.10 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 24 Hours 100 Finds II A#294**Albida**
Had to look around a bit, wazza9 soon put his hand on it. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO

Day 20With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. We are really enjoying our stay here in Mount Isa, lots of caches, lovely sunsets, unique landscape and the spring wildflowers are amazingly different to ours in Victoria.Another day of caching with the object of getting 15 more finds to help qualify for the local challenge cache. Thanks DavidNarelle for the placement.
After QOGM2023 Longreach so close had to come up and visit some friends who I knew in Nanango and Roma. Thanks for placing and maintaining this one. TFTC Davidnarelle

Took geodog Stella for a walk as I live close by. The cache was quickly sniffed out and signed with one of my nifty pathtags dropped into the container. TFTC
Well, today I returned to the place of my childhood. The rock outcrop near this cache was my old playground. I lived at 11 3rd Ave across the road. Haven't been here for over 40 years. Thanks for placing a cache in this spot. Cache all good. Greetings from the Blue Mountains in NSW.
On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
A quick grab on the way past. An excellent view of across the road from here.

I found this after a short search. A train engine passed by. Cache is okay. TFTC DavidNarelle.
We spent a couple of nights in Mount Isa enjoying having a look around. The first afternoon and the next morning were taken up doing the bison series after which we headed back to town picking up as many caches as we could.
Today we e decided to clear up a few caches in town and surrounds before heading to Cloncurry for the next stage of our adventure.
We saw some great sights that we would never have seen without geocaching, this is the main reason we still love the game after nearly 20 years of playing.
This is our second cache this power with power station history and it's always good to learn little snippets of history.
The cache itself turned into a nice easy find although we were a little bit concerned as we approached but the GPS pointed straight at it and the log book now contains our name.
Thanks again for the cache.

Just 9 finds today around beautiful Mt Isa. Our Garmin is still in hospital, and the replacement hasn't been posted back yet - so we've booked in for another few days.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache is UV damaged and very brittle. It really needs some owner TLC.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Lucky last for this long walking day. Needed the exercise and to clear my head - a little warm but nothing like when we were here at Christmas! Needless I didn't do any cacheing then.

Cool little spot. So many rocks and trees but managed to hide from the early morning miners going to work and find the cache. Thanks.
On our first full day in Mt Isa we decided it was time to find a few caches. Gently warm with a nice breeze to disperse the flies.
With a bit of a scratch and a scramble and Mrs SKI came up with the find.

After attending the Red Centre Experience event and spending a little time exploring some iconic locations in the Northern Territory, it was time to make a more or less express trip back home. Fortunately there were sufficient well placed caches at opportune spots to safely park and stretch our legs on our way home [^].
Now that we have had a small taste of what there is to offer in central and north-west Queensland, we will need to look at organising another trip sometime when we can spend more time to explore the area. We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the logbook, we continued on our long journey.
Thank you DavidNarelle for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy
