Checked here yesterday and there is now a letterbox on the road leading to the old train station. There is a throw down here, behind the letterbox. Not retrieving it as it's definitely not the cache I placed here and given the prevalence of no trespassing signs, clearly someone considers this area to be private land. I'm not sure this area is private land but not willing to upset any landholders with the placement of any of my caches, hence the decision to archive this one.
Thanks for bringing us to the old train station - very interesting buildings and structures around. On the day we visited there was snow on the hills. However the log was very wet and we were unable to sign it. The cache is missing the o-ring so we suspect that is why it is wet.
Day 8 of our road trip to Whittlesea via Canberra and today we head to Bega and stopping for caches and ALs along the way. Many thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment.
It has come to my attention that there may be another throwdown in position here. I will check to confirm when I am next travelling to the coast and if so, will remove the throwdown and replace again.
After spending a really interesting weekend in Bega and Tathra looking into what some of my early descendants got up to, time to head to Canberra to visit some of my own immediate family. So of course, had to pick out a couple caches along the way to break up the journey! After stopping in town for some coffee and cake at the local bakery, then being flushed out by a bus load of people, I quickly looked at what my Bevin town to look for. Unfortunately the internet out here was woeful, but eventually I picked out this one that sounded interesting. Pulled up at the now closed gates and took a look. I tend to think that the hint had me cache blind, as I spent too much time concentrating on one spot when all the while it was laughing at me! Retrieved the log only to realise that trying to sign it may damage it as it was very wet. Photo taken.
A day out in a previously unexplored LGA, what a surprise Nimmitabel is
New log sheet popped in container, waterproof paper disintegrated. Took away throw down
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

I managed three different caching activities today. First was the event to get the Parkway bridge cache. Next I headed up to do the remaining Isaacs Ridge caches from the Northern end. After lunch I headed down to Nimitabel collecting caches in Numeralla and Cooma along the way. It was a long day but a huge sense of achievement.
Before stopping for the night I visited the four caches around town I had not done, and the three along old Bombala Rd.
Thanks for the cache Boeing737

As expected, a throwdown in place but with the stone log, LOL. The log was wet but if wiped off it could easily be written on. In any event, a new cache with new log placed today. Happy hunting!
I will check this soon but would be surprised if the actual cache is wet and the log unsignable, particularly as it has waterproof paper in the cache. I’ve had a few throwdown mint tins & bison tubes at this location and wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what I find here but we’ll see
### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

Hi there Boeing737,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

This one took us way too long to find. We searched and searched according to the hint and even found what might have been a discarded cache container. It was only when we stepped back and looked we saw the cache, in plain view,
After a quick trip into Merimbula to the optometrists to get some glasses repaired (It can be hard enough to find caches without having to do it with no glasses), we set off on today’s journey over the hills to Tumut. We enjoy this drive and the alpine scenery but were relieved that it was a nice sunny day. The climbs are OK, but we much prefer dry roads on the descents.
En route we cached on the highway, in and around Nimmitabel where we had lunch and in Cooma where we were limited due to the need to park with our caravan in tow.
An enjoyable and successful day.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Collecting smileys along the way to the coast, this was our next en route. A nice quick find here, signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement Boeing737 and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula / Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
Our travels took us through this way, so we decided to stop and collect the nearby caches in Nimitybelle, this one of them.
Thanks for the placement Boeing737

It's starting to rain. This one is my tenth of the day, and looking like my last one due to the weather. I've enjoyed the caches today. This one was an easy find, I didn't get too damp, and I suppose I better head home through the rain. As it turned out, it cleared after Cooma, but there were no unfound ones within easy reach between here and home. Thanks for the history and the cache.
Taking our time to journey to Merimbula, we stopped off for a cache and to check this place out a bit. A friendly guy from the Men's Shed invited us in and offered us a cupp! A cuppa and a cache, bonus! Thanks Boeing737.
Sunshine and an opportunity to go caching, what a great combination. Got this one. Scenery beautiful. Our thanks to Boeing737 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Out and about caching from Cooma to Bega. Stopped here and parked car before walking over to GZ. Took me a little longer than it should, but hey, I found it. TFTC Boeing 737
I'm travelling for 4 months and I'm going to visit in Singapore, Australia, New-Zealand, Japan and England. My plan is to see as much as possible for each places and also get new experiences. I try to do some caching on the way too, so greetings from Finland!
I had a really long day since I had to drive about 700kilometers. Luckily there were no problems, even though I saw some couple bushfire places which has been burned down... I felt so sad! Finally I managed to get here this little town where I was gonna spent the night. before I went for a sleep I grab some caches. TFTC!

#9648 - 3:43:00 PM; On the way to Meribula for a Convention, so decided to stop and collect a few caches along the route. All were found quickly and in good condition. Managed to identify the right path to GZ and managed to spot the cache from the geomobile, so didn't have top spend too much time in the cold! TFTC Boeing737
Well, it’s always fascinating when you arrive at GZ to conduct maintenance and you find your own cache moved to a new position in plain sight and a throw down nearby! Wet log removed from the actual cache and replaced with waterproof paper. Have left where it is for the moment but if water keeps getting in, I will put it back in its original spot. Throw down removed. FYI, I never use eclipse mint tins for hides. Happy caching!

A caching mission! This time organised by KittyKatch to grab some new caches from Moruya to Broulee. Quite a few us joined the walk on a lovely Saturday . TikvaNZ joined me for the drive and we decided to grab a few more caches beforehand and afterwards. On the Sunday, we headed south and ended up doing a caching circuit, Moruya, Bega and then up the hill to Cooma and home again to Canberra. A fantastic trip planned!!
This cache: running late, but time for one more before we leave Nimmitabel!
Thanks Boeing737 for the cache and the fun!

On the way home from Merimbula and we decided to get a couple of caches at Nimmitabel. We were initially going to grab this cache on the way TO Merimbula, however as we arrived in town it was bucketing down with rain and there was lightning very close by! Today, despite it being very, very hot, the weather was much more cache-able! A nice hide at an historic GZ. TFTC Boeing737!
Took a few minutes to locate this one, but luckily not seen by the nearby residents. TFTC.
It's a pity about this branch line, it would have very scenic twixt Queanbeyan and Bombala. In the early 1960's a work mate used to catch the train from Queanbeyan home to Bombala every Friday night and return for work on Monday. Times have changed. Some plums nearby are almost ripe.
A really good hide. Looks like the station is being renovated. I love a town that preserves its heritage.
Caching our way home from the mountains to Sydney. Lots of great finds - including this one! With AWTYOW, geo-gangstas and Brizzle11. TFTC!
How do you turn a straightforward drive back to Sydney into a 12 hour trip? Geocaching with AWTYOW, Geogangstas and Gabstar along the way. Although we recognised we had to be selective and not stop for everything we still made this into a big day! At least we had fun and saw some great places along the way. TFTC
This time Mr Brizzle11 came up with the goods. Another quick find here and our third for the morning. TFTC
When Darksidedan suggested a 5 Event haul over the New Year’s Eve -Day period, the challenge was on and the idea hatched for a 7 Event haul instead. What a crazy world we live in. So with 2 co-drivers, Darksidedan and Joolay we set out from Canberra at 8:30 to travel to Bermagui for the CITO.
My humble apologies to ZimbaW for our untimely arrival and departure at that Event as we became distracted by all the caches in Nimmitabel and Bemboka. Some were very easy and quick to find but others caused more anxt as they took up what we later realised was precious time that we didn’t really have if we were to be back in Canberra for AngelG27’s bbq Event.
What fun it was to catch up with so many friends there – many of whom had travelled long distances . Great to see you Wazza9 and Nana Nel! After bidding them all farewell, we headed north, stopping along the way to fuel up - both the car and ourselves.
It wasn’t long before we were in Moss Vale ready for Throsbyonchurch’s event. We were, for a change, slightly early. We decided to grab 2 more traditional caches – Whytes Tailoring Department and Henderson where we encountered a juvenile fox who wasn’t very happy with our intrusion. At the event there was a good turn up of friendly faces and we had a chance to relax and chat here for the first time as our next commitment was only 15 minutes up the road.
So it was that we arrived in Bowral. We wanted to do the Earth cache, but numerous muggles made that impossible. We met up with the contingent of fellow cachers who had also travelled from Moss Vale but our numbers had now increased to include some from the coast. To our delight many of us were able to claim a multi here despite the muggles, thanks to a fair bit of help.
The 3 of us were starting to fade by now, but it’s not far on to Mittagong. Once in the town I decided that Alice, aka my car Nuivi, must have been rather weary too, as she wanted to keep taking us where there were no roads! We eventually found our way in to the GZ which was quite close to a Puzzle cache I had solved in preparation for this excursion. After signing its log we wandered across to our final event for the evening but our first of 2018. What a great time we had! After lighting up numerous sparklers to welcome in the New Year, we again had time to chat before heading off to our motel for a very welcome sleep.
Many thanks to all the COs for placing these caches which helped us to enjoy the most remarkable trip. And to my 2 co-drivers a huge thank you for all the fun, laughs and adventures along the way. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring!
Apologies for my generic log.

I had stopped in this little town and had just left the local cafe. Saw there was also a cache nearby so headed over to take a look. Parked the car nearby and then it was just a short walk towards gz. Read the hint and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log and replaced it all as found. A cute little old country railway station which I would like to have explored, but there was a lock on the gate and it looked like someone had moved in. TFTC

A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. Found 11:47 am with girl friend. I had been on a mission to rescue my Geocaching Australia gnome about 10k's south of Bombala and so we had decided to make a weekend of it and stay in Bombala overnight. This was our tenth cache attempt. It didn't take too long to locate just had to look in the right spot. Lol. The train station seems to be run down quite a bit. Signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.

A quick find, though had to be careful with the barbed wire. Was on my elsewhere today so no time to explore the station. Thanks Boeing737.
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
Spent way too long searching for this one - very pleased to find it just before I was going to give up.

Second time we have found a cache here. Quick find with Justjessie as we headed off on our holidays. First stop a tour of the back streets of Nimmitabel. TFTC.
We needed to inspect the railway station and its associated infrastructure and relics as this activity was an important aspect of our trip. Finding this cache there was a real bonus.
Thanks Boeing737.
