Sax64 and I are travelling back from Nick's 60th near Bermagui and had to stop for a coffee and delight at bakery and of course to grab this cache, so good damn windy today easy find as out in open possibly from the wind. Tftc now back on the road
Reperio 15:32Day 5 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Eden to Canberra, and it was another long but fantastic day of geocaching. As it had rained overnight, the bush land we had to walk through in the morning was quite wet, and so getting to some of the caches was made a little more tedious and difficult. Our goal for today was to complete the VB series, and then head towards Canberra later in the evening. Fortunately most of the caches we searched for were found, and there were certainly some fantastic containers along the way.Gratias Boeing737As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Quick found on our drive down the coast. Lots of birds sitting on top of the church which made for a good photo. Tftc
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Our first visit to ACT in that time.Moving today from Bredbo to Bega. We stopped at Cooma to visit the Snowy Mountain Hydro Discovery Centre for a looksee, of course we managed a coffee and breakfast whilst there . Stopped by this one with the caravan on tow.TFTC Boeing737
On our way home from Canberra, we are having a leisurely day of travel, picking up caches along this road which we don't often use. We have never stopped in Nimmitabel on previous trips, but we are really enjoying the town today, travelling from cache to cache. This church is beautiful, with it's stain glass windows. We left the log in a fresh ziplock bag in preparation for the winter season. Thanks for introducing us to these wonderful locations, Boeing737
A hide that had me going in circles as it wasnt where I would place it. Then off to a surprisingly good bakery in town. TFTC.
So my sister has chosen to move back to Melbourne, and we are helping her to move back. So sat down and mapped out the fast route down and a slower route back, looking at where we might stop to collect a cache or two, and maybe fill some spots on the LGA map.In sitting talking to my dad (Cliff5009) about this, we came to realise that I do not have any LGAs in the Gippsland area. Well, given I was born at Orbost, and half the family still live from Warragul to Orbost, that seemed quite unlikely. So we sat down and figured out that since I started Geocaching in 014, I have not been back in that area.Well, we agreed that fixing that anomaly would make a lot of sense.LGA hunt number 4 for the day.In the run from Orbost towards home - trying to visit 3 states in a day (Vic, NSW and ACT).Log now has my name in it and finally starting to fill some spots. Thanks for placing the cache!
A cache at a church, very hard for me to go past, so I stopped nearby, grabbed cache, signed log, replaced where found, Thanks Boeing737, all is in good condition today
We had a quick stop at the oil station so it was a must to search and grab this little box. Tftc and greetings from Germany!
Thanks for the cache it was a little obvious do I hid it better when I put it back
On a 3 day break from Sydney to the South Coast. Wonderful history here.TFTC Boeing737

First day of our geo adventure holiday, ticking off places we drive past on our way somewhere, but never just stopping to explore
Well, this holiday is all about taking the time to see some of the amazing gems that you find while geocaching

I came in from the inside when I could have found it from the outside, thanks.
Wasn’t there a giant trout in this town, or am I thinking of somewhere else?

Day #2 [15-2] of 5 for my trip away. Today’s main goal was to get down to Merimbula safely. So in other words, not many finds today. The caches I found today were mostly quick and easy finds with two DNF’s. However, before leaving Cooma, I discovered there was a newly-ish published cache with a chance of a FTF. So, with the other caches I was wanting to find before leaving Cooma I added it to the list. I also found a few labs. Once on the road, I focused on caches which were quick park and grab along the way. When I arrived in Merimbula, I headed straight for the beach. It so nice to see it again. After the beach and lunch, I headed off to find some nearby caches including a couple more labs before checking into the motel. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s
P.S. Sorry, about the generic logs. I will endeavour to edit them at some point in the future for the extended story, FP’s and/or photos. This is when I have more time on my hands.

Went the long way around to get this one. Nice old church. Time to grab a pie from the bakery.

Camped down here by the river and watched the platypus swimming in the river on a cool evening with some other campers. It was quiet a pleasant weekend getaway.

I managed three different caching activities today. First was the event to get the Parkway bridge cache. Next I headed up to do the remaining Isaacs Ridge caches from the Northern end. After lunch I headed down to Nimitabel collecting caches in Numeralla and Cooma along the way. It was a long day but a huge sense of achievement.
Before stopping for the night I visited the four caches around town I had not done, and the three along old Bombala Rd.
Thanks for the cache Boeing737

Quick pick up on our way through town. Found with GrimRaider on a trip to Merimbula to attend a CC Event. Thanks for hiding this cache Boeing737
It’s always frustrating when you do a maintenance run to find a throwdown in place! The Boeing clan only uses waterproof containers and stone paper as caches to maximise life. Soggy throwdown replaced today. Happy caching!
Stopped in Nim for a couple of quick caches on my way to Eden. I'll leave some for another time...
As we continued our Adventure to Cooma today we stopped off and collected some caches along the way. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache and log are in average condition. Thanks for the cache Boeing737...could do with a new log when next you are passing as the container was full of water.

We where in Bega for a book launch, so a few caches after breakfast was the decision. A wander around Bega and then a few on the way home. Thanks Boeing737
Found out in the open. Log a bit mouldy, but writable. Replaced in the obvious spot. Thanks
Plenty of traffic going towards Cooma as we arrived in Nimitybelle. Lovely old stone church of St Peter. A quick find and SL at 9.52am #7876 TFTC Boeing737
Sorry for the late log but trying to catch up with some very old finds.

We just had to stop and find a few caches on our way to the coast for the long weekend. We enjoyed the road trip and the beautiful scenery on the way. Thanks for placing a cache at this beautiful spot for us to find. We found this cache early in the morning whilst the autumn air was still crisp and fresh. The log sheet was a little damp, but we were still able to scribble our names. TFTC!

The picnic ground at Lake William provided a perfect place to stop and have some lunch, which we duly did. While Mrs SKI organised some lunch I walked the short distance up to the church. What a wonderful old building, incredibly large for the size of the town.
The cache was soon found and the log signed, then back for lunch.
After a quick trip into Merimbula to the optometrists to get some glasses repaired (It can be hard enough to find caches without having to do it with no glasses), we set off on today’s journey over the hills to Tumut. We enjoy this drive and the alpine scenery but were relieved that it was a nice sunny day. The climbs are OK, but we much prefer dry roads on the descents.
En route we cached on the highway, in and around Nimmitabel where we had lunch and in Cooma where we were limited due to the need to park with our caravan in tow.
An enjoyable and successful day.

With the Canberra Day Long Weekend upon us, the FFLL ladies and I usually take off towards SA or the likes for some caching, however with the unpredictability of COVID on the borders, we decided we would try for something a little closer to home. We decided that we would come down and have a crack at the VB trail around Eden and Merimbula. It was a great weekend away with both the FFLL ladies and it was nice to see the ocean and get some sun on our faces.
Collecting smileys along the way to the coast, this was our next en route. A nice big old church here made of black basalt rock, very impressive! The tower bell chain was tempting to pull and ring but alas we resisted the urge Cache located and signed although this one could do with a little TLC as the log is getting rather soggy.
Thanks for the cache placement Boeing737 and thanks for the wonderful weekend away FFLL ladies Always enjoyable and always something to look forward to.

The Canberra day long weekend falls on the first weekend in March so we usually take this time to head out of town. So this year, the caching troupe of us and Rapidlywild decided to head to the Merimbula / Eden coastline to collect a few smiley's.
Our travels took us through this way, so we decided to stop and collect the nearby caches in Nimitybelle.
What a magnificent church, thank you for bringing us to this area and thanks for the placement Boeing737
