Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to create a simple, but effective earthcache, information has been sent to the CO, though I almost forgot to take the photos needed, I was so distracted by the view!I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.

#14,618. We were travelling through South Australia recently and visited a number of earthcaches and virtual caches. I have been actively looking for these amongst my notes and photos taken during the visit. This one I recall doing as the sculpture is quite distinctive and the views from up here are magnificent. Have sent the answers to the CO by message board. Very interesting to read about how dolomite forms. I knew of this rock from the Punakaiki area on South Island west coast. Now I know how it forms. Thanks SA Sewer Rats for the interesting geology lesson.

Found at 1:48 PM GAFF1.We haven't visited Mount Gambier for 11 years and the change is phenomenal! This is a neat "city" sized town now with a lot of traffic and movement. So many lovely buildings that are well maintained and the area around the Blue Lake has been nicely beautified. The sculpture was prominent and there was a good resemblance of the title of the cache. Thanks to SA Sewer Rats

Next day of our roadtrip. Today we're driving about 350km from Meningie to Mount Gambier. The first stretch is quite long and lonely along Coorong NP. Then we pass Kingston, Robe, Millicent and arrive finally at Mount Gambier. Great views everywhere and of course we pick up a few caches along the way. After a 90min drive from Robe we are now up here on the crater rim in Mount Gambier. Great views! Collected the answers and now we're going up the hill. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo

A February Mega brought us to Adelaide. Our group is traveling together and signing any logs as 6 for QLD.Today we are working from Mount Gambier as our base. Which of course brings us to the picturesque lakes and the surrounds. We have been here years ago BC (Before Caching), so another visit for different purpose.Answers collected and sent on behalf of our group. TFTEC, SA Sewer Rats. I enjoyed this EC.

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.Today, we visite quickly Mount Gambier.WE stop once to take picture to sunset. Thanks for cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots

**Today:**Found with DSDMy first ever day in South Australia Woke up in Mount Gambier today with no real destination, but a big list of caches! Ended up just up the road in Millicent, but still several hundred kilometres travelled as we detoured down to the coast! The biggest goal of today, and the entire trip, was finishing my AUSMER! We found not only one, but two caches in my final month I needed! Its been a multi-year challenging journey, so good for it to be finished! ---**This Cache:**Another great viewpoint of a lake, with a nice sculpture here made out of some interesting rock to be used as an EC lesson! Learnt a few things from the description, observed the sculpture itself and sent our answers off to the CO! Pic also attachedMany thanks for bringing us here!

30,547. Found with minniek, albida33, Sol de lune, smittengranny (signing either as FAMSS or MAFSS to save room and just for fun). After the hordes around Rutherglen it was good to drop down to a group of 5.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 7. Today we had a full day to explore around the Mt Gambier region, with a few older caches targeted plus many others on our list. We started heading along the south coast which was spectacular to see, then back to Mt Gambier. We visited this neat Earthcache before doing the trudge up the hill to the tower. Information gathered and has been sent to the CO.

Thanks SA Sewer Rats !!

Day 7 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Today was our first day caching with albida, Sol de lune & smittengranny. We signed as MAFSS to save room. Some of us may have rebelled and signed FAMSS instead. It was a bit dreary and windy but we didn’t get too wet.

The aim was to collect a couple of counties, old caches to finish my Ausmer calendar, and just to have fun.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Any interesting earthcache to visit. Logging with permission.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 8. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 2. After a driving day yesterday to wrap up the mega weekend, today was a trip from Mount Gambier down to the southern coast line with Sol de Lune, Smitten Granny, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and me (albida33). F.A.M.S.S was the initial in the logs today. Our goal in this region was to visit the two old caches out this way and a few others that are nearly as old. We also managed about ten Earth caches and even went for a walk or two. We ended the day with caching and LABs around Mount Gambier before retiring for a home cooked meal at the caravan park.

Just before making the ascent to the Centenary tower, we delayed enough to work through this earth cache. I like when great art is made out of interesting stone, and neither was what I expected. Answers sent for our team.

Thanks for the cache SA Sewer Rats

Headed to Mount Gambier after the Rutherglen Mega with fitzy_1965, Albida33, Minniek, and Smittengranny. We signed all logs as FAMSS.

We targeted a few older caches, a few multi's, a few puzzles always as well as a couple of earthcaches.......and really anything else we had time for.

Solved prior to our walk up to the tower. Answers sent off and all was good.

Thanks for another earthcache SA Sewer Rats.

Minniek has sent the answers on behalf of our group.

Today there were two cars of geobuddies travelling around this area collecting a variety of caches based on age, type and favourites. It was an incredibly successful day and thanks must go to all COs for placing such interesting and sometimes challenging caches. This was one of the caches we found and all were signed either as MAFSS or FAMSS , as the group consisted of minniek, Albida33 Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and myself Smittengranny.

TFTC SA Sewer Rats for your cache Wings which we found today. We have been camped at Penola for the past week enjoying the area and the caching. Today we decided to head to Mount Gambier. The aim was to complete the Adventure Labs and to complete some more of the multis and solved puzzles. We would also attempt any other caches close by. We succeeded in finishing all the Adventure Labs as well as 13 other caches. A great day.

With the Airshow in full swing in our home town of Lara we planned a weekend away in Mount Gambier to get away from the craziness and noise. After a big drive this morning/afternoon we thought the walk to the top and a visit to Centenary Tower was a good way to to get the legs working again after over 4 hours in the car.
After we returned to the car it was only prudent we have a look at the Wings especially as Sims_family mum love an Earthcache.

A visit to Mount Gambier would not be complete without the walk up to the top of Mount Gambier itself.
After parking the car, we came to look at this earth cache.
It is indeed a beautiful sculpture, and seems to sit ready to fly or soar from GZ.
We have sent our answers to the CO, and say a big thanks for highlighting this sculpture before we continu our walk today.

This was an unusual earthcache for us this week as most of what we have visited has been out in the paddocks. Having only ever really seen raw dolomite, it was nice to see what can be done with it when someone has some talent. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.

Cache 9342 on 3 Oct 2022.

Road trip! Joined ZQX, Fox in Jox and TikvaNZ in taking advantage of a long weekend in the ACT to head to Victoria and South Australia for 4 days. We had planned this trip 2 years ago, but it did not happen for obvious reasons, so now getting it underway. Our goal is to pick up some old caches, get counties and get some interesting DT combinations!

Today: day 3 travelling from Mount Gambier to Bendigo. We had to backtrack slight to Millicent to collect some challenges as we ran out of time yesterday. Today is about challenges, some older caches and more counties!

Fox sent the answers off on our behalf. A dated, but lovely sculpture!

Thanks SA Sewer Rats for the cache and the fun!

with it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area. Today was a nice easy day around Mt Gambier as I awaited for The Empire to arrive, once he arrived we headed around the Blue lake to do some Earth caches.

This is one of the caches found today. An interesting sculpture.
