On holiday for 2 weeks in caravan, stopped at Geraldine for couple nights and thought we would go find some caches. TFTC
Nice quick find here today Thanks for the placement and the smiley. Alot of the caches on this trail have wet logs and in bad need of new containers
I decided to come and cycle around the tracks here and target the caches along. Unfortunately, many of them were in a sad state with wet logs, and a few missing. They would benefit from a CO maintenance run/cycle. I really enjoyed the ride!! TFTC!
Was down here a month ago and did the upper half of the tracks. Today in the drizzle and 6c temp I'll do the rest. Just one dnf today. Had to give up writing in a few as my hand got colder, wetter, and very dirty!
We are staying at the Top 10 camp so it was nice to be able to get on our bikes and end up on this trail. Cache is all good. TFTC
M had found the cache by the time I got there. I am starting to feel very weary. Just as well we are near the end of today's geocaching. I cannot believe you heard me say that.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Found with Fisha1288
Cheers, Cympull.

Walking the Orari River tracks between Vance and Bennett roads, grabbing a few caches on the way. Quick find; TFTC
Finally found the time to bike the track and get some catches! Found with Conbat and Rangit4t3. TFTC
This trip has been a long time coming! After spotting the long line of caches months and months ago on the app map we finally got here! We rushed out straight after holiday program pick up to find a few before dark. This is as far as we went today, with darkness fast approaching this was a good quick find to head back to the car. Thanks.
Out for a run the other day with Mrs abxt350 to mop up a couple of caches missed previously.cheers
Great day easy find, just about got caught out getting this cache from bikers on the track - TFTC
With tracks heading off in all directions and no topo map on the gps we had to guess as to which track to use for the next set of caches. Once we got started most fell into place. This was the second of three quick finds. tftc
In Geraldine for the weekend with BCD and it was a beautiful first day of Spring so nothing like a little Sunday stroll to get a cache or two! A lovely walk along the MTB track while the kids rode ahead. Enjoyed smelling the blossom on the trees along the way and even had to bring out the sunscreen TFTC BCD
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our weekend trip to Geraldine. We had been eyeing up these bike trail caches for a while and finally we have brought our bikes with us. The weather was perfect (maybe a little too hot at times) and we biked the Vance Rd to the Orari Bridge section of the trail. A few DNFs, and a few not looked for, but overall a successful day.
Not sure why this one is the odd one out, but SW tracked it down. TFTC.

#16691. Couldn't work out why this was the odd one out (but now realise that the cache name reflected the original hide). Didn't take too long to locate. TFTC.
It was time for a wander along the G.M.B.T today starting from the southeastern end.
Nope to the odd one out.
Cheers for the cache.

Description is now almost useless, but that does not reflect on the hide!! All the surrounds are gone and yet this was quickly spotted. In general the coords are so accurate . Thanks.
Was initially planning a trip to Geraldine tomorrow (Sunday) to bike the river trails but forecast rain made me come today (Saturday). Frosty morning but a lovely sunny day. Bit late leaving home but all good. Will see how many I can find!
Quickly cornered and signed....cheers.

I think this was the one with no log paper inside, but has a bit of paper on me that will do the trick for now. - Bitsprayer

Last one attempted today before walking back to meet the others with car. GZ chopped out only a bunch of stumps left in immediate spot. Others further up river may have similar fates.
Day 9 - of our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara, & myself) epic adventure leaving Oamaru for Geraldine and the cycle trail today. Tobys at SH1 , and Zara at Main North Road. We are on Jack and Jill, with pedal power to the fore.
Sighted the odd one for another quick snag and tag. Now lets get pedaling along. Cheers

Taybeedragon and I are cycling the trail and enjoying every minute of it. The weather gods turned on a nice day - an excellent day off from the rigours of heading home after a week's geofesting in Oamaru.
Up from Mosgiel on a caching binge in Geraldine. Nice easy find. Beautiful weather and a beautiful spot. TFTC
Yes, the cache was quickly found, but getting to gz was a fiiferent story. I came in from the nearby road, though the blackberry, Bad mistake! got there and back without too many spilled claret! cheers.
A nice sunny saturday. caching time to Geraldine.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

That was tricky to find. It was time to do a bit of winter campervanning. Bbear44 was mad enough to join me. We took our bikes and headed into BCD country.

The leave passes for Karma Reprint and myself matched up, so onto our bikes to attempt to clean up the series in one day. 42km and 12ish hours later it's mostly done. Time for the last half of the last leg of the day, time to get back to the car. Back across the dry river, just about finished and bugger, a DNF. KR and I spent half hour here looking and looking for the only DNF of the day but no luck for us. Coords all over the show and no luck. Bugger, would have loved to get the lot done in one day. No elephant tracks either, oh well, next time. Cheers
It took us quite a while to track down this cache as the coordinates were too far from the track to be of use. We initially tried the wrong oddity, but eventually spotted a geotrail leading to the correct one. Our coordinates were S44 05.932 E171 17.311. The cache is of course micro not small. TFTC
Great day for a bike ride and a new track and a good Number of finds . Perfect. TFTC
Staying briefly at Mt Somers for a few days . searching for Caches and the elusive summer weather. thanks for the caches. We appreciate everyone's effort to make and maintain each one.
The last day with the campervan, our wunderful holidays in NZ will end. Today we had to travel from Fairlie to Christhurch. Since we had still some time we decided to run a part of the GMBT series..
Thanks for hiding and greetings from Germany!

With today dawning fine it was time to get on my MTB and cyclocache my way along some of the various Geraldine MTB trails. Parked at the Western Seaward Road and first headed north up to and over (make that under) SH79 to seek 3 caches north of the SH before heading back to the cachemobile for a spot of morning tea. Once fed and watered it was time to seek out the caches south of Seaward Rd. I didn't quite make it all the way to Vance Rd as boredom and frustration with the poor poor physical state of many of the cache logs set in.
I won't be logging Needs Maintenance logs but will just mention something, where required, of the state of each cache.
Yea, a bone dry log. That sure has brightened my day. TFTC.

That's far enough for me today. I am now soaked right up to the waist thanks to the long grass. I will be back to grab some more, next time on a better day. Tftc found this one on my second spot I tried.
sunny Monday morning maintenance ride looks like the original has fallen from its perch so have replaced with another and have secured it in place
Gave this one a brief search but no luck - the rain was now bucketing down and I wasn't inclined to persist...
Zeroed in on this one pretty quickly. After a couple of dnf's in a row was pleased to find this one.

Woo hoo! What a great day out! It all actually started last night, when Team_Gaters and TheWanglers were visiting me. I was looking for some way to celebrate International Geocaching Day. TG told me about all the FTFs on offer in this area, and that combined with a mountain-bike track was all it took. I arrived at noon, and started my ride, enjoying the beautiful weather, and the complete lack of other people on this fine Saturday. Twenty-six finds, 11 FTFs, and only 2 DNFs. All in all, a fine day.
