Today moonb1 and I headed south to Sandy Bay, Battery Point and Hobart itself until we needed a break and returned to our accommodation before heading to the waterfront for dinner for our last night as we fly back to Victoria tomorrow Seached where the technology suggested but widened our search to find the cache Thanks Taz Devil
Quick a tricky one because of the fallen tree. Had to use the photos in the comments. Tftc.
Find #: 3,697Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool, windy and wet spring afternoonCache condition: GoodAfter arriving at the m.i.l.s house I decided to go for a jog, not being one for just sitting around. The conditions were pretty ordinary, but the views excellent, and I was soon at GZ. It took a bit of time to find the container, with a back-to-basics look my path to success - TNLNSL TFTC
Where is it me and my mum searched for like 15 minutes but we still couldnt find it plus the hint was very vague oh well better luck next time
Finally, out and about the geocaching day since easter. It was lovely walking on the track on a cold day. It took me a little while to finally spot that a tree had fallen down nearly GZ, and it was damaged. But luckily, the cache is good and dry with no trouble.TFTC
A quick find whilst enjoying a circular walk from Mt Nelson on this beautiful day. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
Killing a bit of time before taking my son A_Gull to Venturers, we decided to look for a couple of caches. This one took a bit of looking through previous logs to get the clue just where to look, then the cache was soon in hand.TFTC
Found it one year but didnt log it until the next. Sorry about the late log. We did a loop to get all three caches in the area, but couldnt find this one the way in, so we had another go on the way back to the car. It took a while, but was eventually found. Thanks for the cache Taz_Devil!
HCH asked if I could check on this cache to see if it was still there.
Yes it is.
A little harder to get to though.

I couldn’t end up finding it maybe it got moved or lost as they were taking down some trees or something
Searched for quite some time with no luck.
Appears to have had a lot of trees removed and cleared at GZ so not sure if this has impacted on location of cache???

Quick easy find, although I did have to crawl through all the branches that have been cut down to reach it. Log wet but still able to sign. Really interesting spot that would never be visited otherwise. Thanks for bringing me up here Taz_Devil.
Looked for about 20 and did not find, started using the photos and too many trees
Walked up from the ryct.
A quick find once the mountain bikers had gone past going up.
Log completely soaked.

It's May 2022 and I'm going back to log all the caches I forgot to in the last few months! Found on a walk with aadi_is_the_best from the Signal Station down to the university. Took us a bit of rumbling around the area and needed to do a surprising amount of muggle dodging (lots of dog walkers!) but we got it in the end. TFTC
Quick find then a hurried scribble and return as a muggle and her furry companion approached gz!!
Previous logs helped with that one! It will never cease to amaze me how suddenly muggles appear 30secs after I rejoin the track
Out of 10 finds for the day this one was 1st cab off the rank. A ahndy parking spot was found then it was off on foot to the hide.
I was looking for well over 10 minutes trying to get the GPS to settle.
Looky here, looky there to no avail so into past logs i went. I noticed a pic in the gallery that helped and the cache was located, which is funny coz i had already looked in that area just not the exact spot [:o)]
A small fallen tree was right over access to the cache [:o] but i just moved it outta the way to get to the booty.

The cache and contents are in A1 condition

Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Took a bit longer to find as a tree has fallen over and was partially covering where it was hidden. Didn’t have a pen to sign log so took photo as proof. TFTC.
Thank for the cache Taz_Devil, "drive by finds" was the order for the rest of the day. this was the fifth find for me today, an easy drive by find sign re hide and of to the next cache. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Great little cache for our first adventure. Forgot our pen but we’ll be back. Thanks heaps.
That was a big hike. I walked up from much Futher down the hill. Great exercise and the view is certainly worth it! Nice easy find once at geozone. tftc
Out for a morning walk with some of the family including the four legged one on this New Years Day. Been meaning to do this local one for a while so now happy to tick it off. Relatively easy find. Some moisture trapped inside. TFTC and HNY everyone.
Found on a cool but pleasant afternoon. Great views up here in a lovely park I hadn’t heard of before. Tftc
Slowombats good we found it did not log on paper needs new paper and needs a pen. Put in bandaid (unused) and took you car
This week's leaderboard had us trailing our friend Porkchop6977, which was something we couldn't let stand! Naturally, the only solution was to go out and and find a few caches and retake the lead!
We decided we'd go for a few caches in the Mount Nelson area, as we'd found a few there previously, and were keen to try to complete all of those nearby. In total today we found 5 traditional caches, with no DNFs. It didn't end up being enough to win for the week, but we still had lots of fun exploring the area!
This ended up being our second cache for the day. We knew there were a few to find in Bicentennial Park, and elected to approach from the Enterprise Rd end. As a result, this cache was quite close to where we parked the car, and was our first find in the park.
It's a lovely spot! We hadn't been through there before, so it was great getting a chance to explore this hidden gem of a park, just minutes from the city CBD. We were lucky enough to stumble across a mob of wallabies not far from this cache, who actually seemed surprisingly disinterested in us!
The cache was not a particularly difficult find, and was in good condition.

Went on a walk to the Signal Station, thought winner of any geo caches. Looked on the phone and bingo 500 mts away. TFTC
Logsheet is damp!! Hi Taz_Devil, TFTC. There's also a sign at the park entrance (near GZ) that suggests a Hazard Reduction Burn is scheduled for this Autumn; so you might want to look into that in case this cache might be impacted.
Thanks for bringing me to an area I've never been before - as geocaching often does.

Called at this one today as we were heading back to the car after doing a GCA reverse cache nearby, cache was a quick find when I twigged that I needed to look smaller not harder, added my name to the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache.

This was to be our final cache on our adventure down the hill. Managed to find GZ and cache relatively easily, and added our name to the log. TFTC.
A lovely walk with the GeoGSP this afternoon on the trails and tracks in the area. This was our first find on our little walk, thanks for the cache.
Quick walk in the bush as the rain increased. Discovered the cache as expected.

The cache was hidden a mercifully short distance up the track for today - a VERY warm autumn day
Easily found in the end
Thanks for the cache, Taz Devil !

T4TC
Quick wander after dropping my daughter to aicon training. Never been up these streets before so that was good and a new area for me to explore

It was a nice sunny summer day today so me and a friend decided to go for a bushwalk and find some more geocaches around the Mt. Nelson area. Found this with Ulagatin. TFTC
Sincere apologies for the lateness in logging.
On a trip to Tassie from the mainland with Shelley0, we managed to grab a few caches while visiting this beautiful state.
This was a great walk down after catching the bus up here.
Adding a fave Taz_Devil, thanks

I wandered about a bit, but eventually made the find. I would consider this a micro cache, as it won't fit most TBs. TFTC Taz_Devil.
With a calendar day I needed a find. So if was a quick dash at lunchtime. Normally the bear comes on the lunchtime runs but couldn't make it today so it was a solo effort.
I used to live over on the next hill as a child almost to the bottom end of the track, and our next door neighbour owned a strip of land up here but eventual sold it to the council (quite some years ago now).
On one of our walk we found a mini hothouse with illegal plants growing in it - no there were not ours. After the police came and checked it out, as kids we were too scared to return.
I finally returned here after so many years on 30 Aug this year to do the nearby GCA history cache, today is the second visit. I am asking myself why I didn't bother with this cache then? Guess it was a calendar thing. TFTC

On my way down from Mt. Nelson I followed a line of caches. This was one of them.
Thanks for luring me here, Taz_Devil!

Just off the track, and follow the slowly emerging geotrail in. Nice little hide in an area I haven't visited before. Residents up this hill have some amazing views!
ShaunLawson01 thank you for the cache.
It took a little while to find as the hint sent ne into the wrong area.

As we got out of the car, we were greeted by two green parrots which remained in the same tree, about 3m from us, whilst we completed the search for this cache. Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks ShaunLawson01 for the cache.
Wow, so many back roads that I have never ventured on before to get here and make a quick find.
It is almost time for Gold to be out of the dentist so maybe time for one more. Pulled up in the parking spot and the GPS said 42 Metres. Jumped out and hurried up the track and there it was. Clever hide.

We completed the first stage of a nearby history cache and had a walk around the park before looking for this one which was a nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Out and about in an area that is not very familiar to us. Great views from this area over Hobart. A quick find due to accurate coords. Well done on your first hide and thanks for showing us this area. TFTC

A new experience for us tonight, finding a cache in the dark.
Accurate co ords ( GPS settled to 3 metres at GZ) and the hint had us signing the log fairly quickly.
Thanks ShaunLawson01 for the cache, we enjoyed our night time adventure.
