I didn't trust the previous dnf, and searched high and low, but couldn't make the find. Unless there's some hint objects I missed I think I exhausted my search options.
Based on the two DNDs - and particularly the extensive search from the last DNF coupled with experience and the difficulty in my getting to the GZ as I no longer live in Wellington, time to archive. Thanks to all who have visited.
Out walking today ([here's where I went!](https://coord.info/GL192GWPP)) and was passing close to GZ for this cache so I made the little detour to search for it before following the trail up onto the Skyline.
Nice and easy with the hint and with the previous finder's photo, and because it was pretty exposed. I tucked it back just a little but in the same spot as where I found it.
All good here, thank you!

Thanks for adding this one. It’s my first geocache! It has seen better days as some didn’t clip the lid properly and it has gotten wet, but still awesome.
Not too difficult but on a nice path that I’ve never been on before. Thanks for hiding it
Thank goodness! Our 4th crack today at finding a cache... (after 3DNFs) thought we had totally lost our mojo! Found eventually in the corner that seemed most logical ... but after checking multiple bits of hint object, found it under a different material. Have replaced it in keeping with the hint. Streak day #61!! TFTC
Found the cache, it was a bit out in the open, so I have tucked it away. Should still be a straightforward find. TFTC
Might have had to zig and zag a couple times while my phone decided where i was from the cache! But a nice little path and all quiet except for one couple while i was still pondering options. Duly found after a little bit of searching. TFTC SJT_NZ.
Thanks SJT_NZ for placing a cache on this awesome zig-zag path thru the bush!!
On the first bend I encountered an owl! It flew up from the ground and alighted on a branch overhead!
Sadly it didn't sit long enough to take a photo.

A free caching half day for the Crystal half whilst the rest of the family stayed at home and played in the pool. Picked an area that had lots of caches we've not been to before. Quick and easy find. Some muggles had found the cache and wrote their names and addresses in it, but still in great condition. Thanks for the cache.
Found with the assistance of a fantail, who also led us to a lovely little lilly growing a couple of zigzags further down
.Up early, too early for the rest of the team so TS and I are out out and about. We are camped at Awarua Street, just down the road from here for a couple of days. This being on our doorstep was the first to visit. Quick snag and tag here. Cheers
Day 22 - Friday 22 January 2020. Wellington. Its a trip to Castle Point today with Taybee and Taybee NZ.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

This was our first geocache experience. Had a chance meeting with the creator and was first to sign new log book.
Log replaced with new double bag. Nice to meet a family group of new cachers whilst completing the maintenance run.
Thanks to the loggers who reported the need to maintenance.
Happy caching, SJT_NZ.

Nice easy find. Love these wee walk-ways that i didn't realise exist.
A bit of maintenance is required - the Logbook is very soggy and wire rusting, but still able to write in it. A tear in the plastic bag seems to be letting the damp in.

I scored some cheap flights to Wellington for the weekend! I had a great time exploring and finding caches!! TFTC!!
Needed to find one cache today to deal to a dot day. This was it. Took a few minutes to locate. There were bigger items (as per the hint) that I looked under first before getting to the right spot. #2504. TFTC.
Find # 3072. Completed an 11.2km, 3.5hr circumnavigation of Khandallah, Ngaio and Crofton Downs on foot to collect the last remaining traditional caches on my map. A very warm day with lots of stops for snacks & water, cats, birds and plants, and of course caches. Plenty of uphill - 436m - and max elevation 208m in Ngaio.
I love this little connecting paths, they make a street walk that much more interesting and they are usually under trees in cool shade. SL TFTC

Didn't intend to do much caching but as these were drive bys and we were in the vicinity for the centenary it seemed silly to miss as was with CO a few days on a last maintenance check.
Another night of collecting a few local caches to get my numbers up. Quickly located and although the container was full of water, the baggie had remained waterproof so log was safe and dry. TFTC
After a miss last time we were determined to find it this time. Ignore the GPS and read the hint properly and boom mr 7 found it.
Up in Welly visiting friends and family and as daughter and son in law were doing some maintenance always keen to get out and about in the area I grew up. A quick find. TFTC
I came up here for a look during my lunch break today. I caught the train from Wellington to Awarua Street Station and walked to GZ.
I have discovered that the recent Metlink changes now allow me to use my monthly pass on all lines rather than being restricted to the Hutt Valley line as I was previously. I have been making the most of this by getting out to a few caches that are near railway stations on the Johnsonville line.
The cache was fairly easy to find using the hint. I was keen to get it done quickly so I could get back to the station in time to catch the same train on its return trip to the City.
The cache is in good condition. Not totally dry, but pretty good considering that it is winter.
Thank you

#623. Finally got one today trying to complete the PP. Found with GB Leader at 12.18. Tftc!
Nice spot for a quick. Quick find. Cache exposed so tucked back in. All good here. TFTC
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie. Lots of zigs and zags in the dark tonight.
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/).
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

On a day on which I was focusing on locating puzzle caches, I found myself close to this one. By not rushing things, I made my way to the correct site where I discovered the treasure. The container exterior was very dirty but everything inside was in very good condition.
There was a beautiful tui singing near this geocache.
This is my third and final day of my Wellington solo trip began. I decided to start local and go for a stroll as I was staying at the Top10 and then see what happened next.

Thanks. SJT_NZ for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4807 for me.

I took a trip to Palmerston North to catch up with my family over Easter and I had a request to stop by Taybee's place on the way back to pick up some stuff to take to Blenheim. And as Taybee lives just around the corner from here, and as I am working on my calendar project - getting my three days up to four (which I have today, but this cache gets my today up to five), this was the cache to get. I like caches in shortcuts - often they are places no one except the immediate locals know about - finding new places is one of the best reason for putting a cache in. A nice easy find. Thanks for bringing me here - dropped in a path tag.
Day 15 of our North Is trip spent in Wellington and Lower Hutt. I had a list of solved puzzles to find plus I wanted to do some maintenance of a few of my own hides in the Hutt.
Another trad that we managed to squeeze into the day. The trouble with zigs and zags on a hillside is that it confuses the Oregon, so while I was thinking I was in the right place, StreetWalker zagged again and he found the cache. TFTC.

#13896. We passed close by to the cache, so turned down a short cul-de-sac and went for a short walk. Bit of effort was needed to get to GZ, but then the cache was quickly found. TFTC.
Got to GZ and had a look around in what seemed like a nice secluded area. Found reasonably quickly and rehid just in time to hear some muggles coming. TFTC.
Great easy find, nice little hidden pathway, great to see another part of ngaio. Tftc
I like visiting new to me areas when geocaching and this is one of them. Quick find just before some muggles appeared from the nearest house. Luckily we had everything back in place before they appeared. TFTC
Cache # 3,447 - weather cleared up just as I started the short walk to this cache. Missed the entrance to the walkway on the first pass, but found it after doubling back. A nice looking neighbourhood. Cache was an instant find at the GZ. All good there, with a resident snail stuck to the lid. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Nice and quiet early this morning. Took a few moments to find the location described in the hint, then a few more to find the object, but not too many! Hooray, one of my last remaining dot days ticked off. TFTC.
#2842. Mrs GSEL needed the car tonight to take daughter No.2 to a school disco. I needed one geocache today. So once I had dinner, I was out the door and off to find a nearby cache. This one has been waiting for just such a night and it was time to cache in the chips. After a false start on the wrong footpath I was back and down the correct one. The GPS GZ and the hint lined up nicely and very soon had the cache in hand. Signed the dry logbook and replaced as found. Thanks for placing it here so I had a handy back-up cache available.
Popped by here on a not unpleasant Saturday afternoon.
We made a straightforward find.
The cache was in order; log was signed and then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

A day with very little exercise left me feeling decidedly sluggish, so I went for a stroll across Ngaio once I got back. No probs finding the location, although the cache itself was a bit harder to pin down, and my phone's GPS couldn't decide between two options for GZ. TFTC - the last of a very enjoyable local series! 1.18km there and back to the cache added to my DGSc challenge total
