I am archiving this cache due to the unfortunate lack of action taken to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, gabs1963, requesting additional time.Despite ample opportunities provided for the Cache Owner to respond, their silence leads me to the conclusion that the cache has been abandoned. In such cases, archived caches will not be unarchived, and as a result, this location is now open for the placement of a new cache by another interested party. Thanks,BalayangCommunity Reviewer - Australia

### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. As richlink had already completed this series, they continued on to our digs while found the found the few we had left to find.
Thanks gabs1963, it took us three visits to Gero to find them all.

Day 16 of the road trip, and 2nd full day enjoying Gero. Main objective today was to make a start on this series - it's been spoiling my map for too long, haha. I managed to knock off 18 from the series, so happy with that. 2 hides were DNF but can give them another look next time I am here. Otherwise, all were reasonably quick finds - some a little more so than others Smile All finds were in good condition. I realised around this point that I had not observed a single plane, land, take-off or even move! Quiet here on Fridays, lol. TFTC

Our aim today was to find the caches in the plane spotting series. We enjoyed the trail and the variety of hides and caches. Spotted quite a few planes taking off and landing, so must have been around at a good time. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:
* Investigate the situation and either restore the cache or address any other issues, such as correcting the D/T rating if necessary.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by the CO and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

This afternoon I tried to do this whole series to finish the “Mystery in the Museum” challenge by Geocaching HQ.

The series was overall a nice one with lots of different ways of hiding and lots of different containers. Too bad there were a few DNF’s. I think some caches are probably missing.

The surroundings were pretty peaceful, but some parts of the series were less interesting. This was mainly because of the busier road.

Thanks for putting this series of caches together and hopefully the CO can do some maintenance soon.

DNF, too bad...

Out and about in Geraldton WA decided to do a few caches, great series.

09-Aug-18
It had just started to rain as we pulled up for this one, but it was short lived.
We were probably very lucky to find it, as we began by searching all the usual and obvious places and then we just happened to spot it. Something completely out of the blue!
This was an interesting series.
We had almost given up on the day in the morning as the strong winds and rain of the night continued. We had been out to do some shopping, and returned for lunch and then the sun began to work hard to improve and warm the day. The strong winds continued however but we decided to head out and test our luck.
There was quite a variety of hides along the way so we could not afford to begin the search with any preconceived ideas. The size of hides varied from a couple of regulars, some smalls and many micros with even a few 'nanos in the bush'. We were probably very fortunate to find some, and certainly were assisted by the very accurate coordinates that we came to rely on regularly. In the end we missed two.

Looked for a micro but after a good search found a nano!!! TFTC

08-Jul-18
I decided to have a big day and find as many in and around Geraldton today before heading further north. I was very keen on the power trail, so I headed out here. Great fun to power around, but what a disappointment to see all the rubbish along the road as if people who drive past here had never seen and used a rubbish bin. The drinks and food the rubbish came from were quite rubbish by themselves so I guess rubbish in rubbish out. The caches were fun though and a good variety too. I even discovered processionary caterpillar nests that I have never heard of before. Thanks for the series!!

Thanks for this hide and the series in general.

On a 4 day drive to the warmer weather, stopping in at Geraldton Kalbarri, Denham, monkey Mia, Carnarvon and Gascoyne junction.

Hoping for 2 LGA’s that we’re missed on the last trip this way and to clean up the map.

Travelling with the usual suspect Barnzy12

Turned this one to a smily face, somehow missed the nano on last attempt here

Having left this series alone since I arrived here in Geraldton today was the day I set to find at least some of them and picked the eastern leg to start with. Another quick park and grab along a not so quiet road. TFTC.

15-Jul-17
Saw one Skywest jet take off. Numerous small single engine planes landing. That's about if for a Saturday. Have just arrived back at the motel after completing this series today. Had an absolute blast with the variety of hides and clever camoes that this well maintained series offers. Perfect weather as some of the caches may have been a little freaky in summer but a large number of caches had a well worn geo-trail to the hide that helped make accessing some of the caches easier. Thanks for this series,gabs1963 which is no doubt a feature of WA geocaching. A fave for the series.(which I will give to the little gumnut cache.

09-Jul-17
We were staying with muggle friends at Nanson we had organised a day out caching with Prospectors WA so we thought that we would start off with a few numbers as we have had a very slow caching week whilst at the muggle friends place so this series looked like the obvious choice. We started at #2 and thought that we would keep going until lunch time and then head back into town for something to eat. We didn't get as many as we thought that we might as there was quite a good variety of hides and container types, some had us looking for far longer than they really should have but all in all a pleasant late morning's caching was had.
Thanks gabs 1963 for setting up and maintaining this series, we will return to do the rest another day.

03-Jun-17
Day 3 of our mini road trip and leaving Geraldton to head to Perenjori via Mullewa and Pindar tho have the Observing Plane series to tackle first with huge time restrictions.
Have a few caches on my list for today so fingers crossed we can manage as many as possible Smile

Turns out another warm day in town and I didn't pack my shorts Sad

A quick find. This series is just building my numbers hopefully up for another challenge tho positive I'll be pulling more prickles out of my pants than I'll get smileys

TFTC Smile

All good and replaced as found

05-May-17
This was a sort of interesting series. We found most of them, but did not spend too much time if there had been too many DNF's or if we simply did not see it. Some were listed as "small" but were actually micro size and one small was actually a micro size. The co-ords were reasonable on most but the furthest was out by about 10 metres off the mark. There were however a good variety of container types and different types of hides. The best part of being in this area was that we got to watch quite a few planes, including two flying together only metres apart before peeling away from each other. Other small planes came and went while we were circling the airport.
Thank you to gabs1963 for placing this series of caches on observing planes.

25-Apr-17
Out for a few more in this series last day of school holidays and anzac day.
Lest we forget
Another quick easy one.

21-Apr-17
Stopped at this cache whilst on a roadtrip with Eliktrisiti. We didn't find as many caches in the Geraldton area as we had hoped for, and after being home for a week or so, I have decided that the motto I would adopt for these logs would be this: It isn't the destination that is important, it is the journey!

In a nutshell, we had fun and that is what it is all about. Great company, lots of interesting locations, good variety of caches, even got to meet one of the local geocachers while out and about, and of course, we came home with a whole swag of smileys.

This cache was found on the second day. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache gabs1963 and for showing us around the Greenough/Geraldton area.

TFTC Well, that took a bit of a search then suddenly there it was!! (We decided that maybe the DNF we had previously had was a similar cache so would go back and have another look on the way home) Signed the log and off we went again.

Little bit tricky this one, required a bit of poking around possibly a bit of cache drift?! The eagle eyes of magpie51 made the find! TFTC Smile

29-Aug-16
Headed up to Geraldton for 4 days to try and find as many caches as we could. Its been 6 months since we were last there and there has been so many new caches come out that we will need another trip there to find them all. We ended up finding 215 and about a dozen DNFS. We picked a few up on the way and did a detour on the way home to Mullewa and i must say the wildflowers are beautiful at the moment. We found a great variety of caches including a couple of wherigo,s, lots of field puzzles, multi,s and the highlight for the hubby was doing the chirp cache. I would like to say all caches were found quickly but that definately wasnt the case lol.... There was some very tricky and sneaky hides that took quite a while to find with a few we went back a couple of times to till we found them. We managed to find a few that we previously had DNFS on and it was was great finding a lot of creative cache containers especially some of the field puzzle ones. Thanks to everyone for the caches and hope to find a lot more on our next trip to geraldton....
