Found all the angels and calculated GZ but no joy finding the cache itself.
Headed out today to get the final points for the Cosmic Quest challenge souvenir. Had a plan but that got tossed out the window with the wet weather, so it was on to plan B which was a bit drier. After sorting out the other nearby mystery cache we came back to do this one. We did one like it earlier this year in Australia so knew what to look for but it still took a while and we had to do a couple of loops as we only got 5 of the 6 answers the first time around. Once all numbers were accounted for, we sat down and calculated the final. Found cache on ground near gz so signed log and hopefully replaced where it should have been. tftc#9856
Second time here for a look, so glad to get it done finally. GPS was pointing about 10-15m south from where it was finally found, just like the hint said it was. Cheers, glad to get this one off the list.
Solved the puzzle while waiting for a friend to call me after a small procedure at the hospital. Unfortunately no luck finding the cache or a rock on top of it. Will try again some other time.
Kids found all the angels then coordinates but couldnt find the cache itself. Getting dark now so might try again another day. Thanks!
**20,267**We enjoyed roaming around the cemetery collecting up the required data. In the end we missed one but made an educated guess and eventually after a bit of scratching around, came up trumps. Woohoo! Put that puzzle to bed. TFTPC
Enjoyed solving this puzzle. Believe it or not wandering round these places is one of my favourite pastimes. Makes you ponder on the misfortune of some and hopefully greater appreciate our own days. Took a while to track down all the information then a straight forward found. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
Those are the most terrifying creations and they are static! I tried keeping my eyes open the whole time.
Family staying and a day off work, what better to do than visit a cemetary.
It took a bit longer to get all the numbers as we wandered about reading other headstones.
once all numbers found the cache was quickly located and signed.

Being a fan of the subject matter, have been meaning to tick this one off for a while now. Glad to do so on a fine Blenheim day. TFTC
We've been meaning to wander around this interesting place and find the Angels for a while now. Today was the evening for it with the low sun making it a bit harder. All found and no earthquake damage as with a lot of others. A bit sad. A quick find after doing the sums. TFTC
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington this morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them. The second mystery today based around the same theme, good to see The Doctor is well regarded down here. Did a lap of the cemetery and managed to find all the angels (without blinking). All good here, and found without too much trouble. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. The first angel we checked we a dud. Blinked lots and managed to survive the experience. We carried on and found the rest, and managed to survice till we got to GZ,
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we cruised around Blenheim and then off to catch the ferry tomorrow., The weather was fine and sunny, until we hit Picton, and now it is raining. We're still having a lovely time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Saw several Aloysius names but no Aloysias and I don't think I've ever met either. Found the angels and the final with KR. Tftc.
We took quite a while to find all the required angels. The last one we found was one we had discounted originally as we didn't think it was an angel. It didn't take to long to find the cache, with knowing the height very helpful. TFTC
We were heading for home and after spotting this cache a couple of weeks ago I wanted to come and spend some time seeing if we could complete it.
What a fantastic cemetery, so much history and some magnificent head stones.
After spotting all that needed to be spotted I headed for GZ. Hmmm I could not work out where the cache was hidden, there was evidence of some fairly recent tree removal. I wrote to the CO and gained confirmation that I had the correct coordinates. But I couldn't find the cache. So I carried on with my day and thought I would keep a watch on it until it was found or checked.
It got the better of me and later in the day we went and had another look, I found the cache several meters from where we believe it use to be, it was lying out in the open on the ground. The log was not inside the plastic bag. We made an assumption that the tree chopper person had found it, had a look and had thrown it aside (which is where I found it??).
So then we had the dilemma of what to do with it. We have contacted the CO with details of where the cache is now. It is hidden within a few meters as per the hint of the original hide.
Thanks for this great cache and for the smiley

This has to be my all-time fav multi. As a kid, I was terrified of graveyards but as I've matured (and become interested in family history) I've learned to appreciate the story, social history and art behind grave stones. This multi was fun and contemplative at the same time. Shame that weeping angels are largely too expensive for people to place on stones now... None of the angels in the cemetery were anywhere near as scary as the Dr Who ones. I'd never seen that episode, so really enjoyed it . 10/10 for theme, location and (do-able) puzzle!
The Great Geocaching Tour of New Zealand Cemetaries rolls on! A great little puzzle with a nice link to the good Doctor. FP from me. It just doesn't seem right, though, to be wandering around a fairly historic cemetery an a bright sunny day. There should at least be lowering skies and lightning. But no. All good in cache, tftc!
Got the wrong cordinates and had to go back and recheck the info required. Second time success and have to thank the CO for the cache.
A nice wander with my daughter to collect the clues, and then an easy find at the end. Signed as BBs due to the small logbook. TFTC!
I called by here and got all the info a couple of weeks ago. Not too difficult but on a hot day all the walking back and forth along the dry dusty rows is a bit of work. Then, today made the find. The container is all good but it's host item is dry and dead looking. Hope the council doesn't give it the chop soon as they have with a few near by ones.
After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! Nice cache!! We ran out of steam the day before, but returned to sort in the morning. TFTC!!
#17571. We enjoyed the multi. The info was pretty easy to gather (we were pleased we didn't need to venture across the road to the newer area, angels seemed less common there in any case). TFTC.
Day 2 of StreetWalkerNZ and my 3 day weekend trip to Blenheim. Today we are caching in and around Blenheim, Renwick and surrounds, where puzzles and the occasional drive by are the focus.
SW and I are big Dr Who fans and I remember the weeping angels very well - they were terrifying! I was keen to do this multi, so despite a full on day, we stopped by late afternoon to look for the angels. Found all of them pretty easily and soon had a viable looking final. While I double checked our workings, SW set off to look for the cache and he had already found it before I caught up, having confirmed that the numbers were correct.
Great idea for a multi, loved it. Thanks KE.

Today a Christmas Eve road trip to Marlborough was on the cards. Time to find a few caches and solved puzzles. Weather wasn't that great. Overcast with some driszzly showers so I didn't stay over here as long as I had originally planned. Nice one! I've driven past here a few times but didn't have time to seek out all the Angels. As I scanned the vicicity I could see a few. I headed off in one direction and found three (including one which wasn't part of the puzzle) then headed back in the other direction to find the rest. Did I get that prickly feeling on the back of my neck that something might just be creeping up on me?? Ooh yeah. I'd have to say that I think the Weeping Angels are one of the better creations of the moder Dr Who and it was certainly cool to be able to complete this multi. A misinterpretation of the hint meant it took a bit longer to find the cache in the end than it should have done but I got it eventually. TFTC, Biggles.
Find myself unexpectedly in Blenheim visiting my ill father-in-law. Having a break, so headed her with Saethwr who was excited to have a Dr Who themed cache.
The angels are multiplying... we found 10 of them... Someone must have blinked.
Thanks for the smilie Kiwi_Explorer.

A trip over the hill for some work in Blenheim wouldn't be complete without completing some Puzzles along the way. Enjoyed this one for the theme and fun collection of information, never being prepared to blink! Thanks Kiwi_Explorerfor the puzzle which gets a Favourite.
Just a quick visit to ensure the angels were all happy - - - and to sign the log. Thanks for the interesting challenge and for replacing the cache so promptly.
This one might need archiving. I noticed some landscaping has been carried out at GZ and closer investigation shows the feature where the final was located is now in a pile of similar features 30m away waiting to be removed.
Oooo that was scary ! Managed to skulk about and introduce myself to the angels - - - but then oh no they must have run off with the cache . This one might need disabling until the CO can check it out. Thanks for the fun anyway.
We had done the homework for this one back in Auckland - loved the video. So we knew how to identify and avoid the dangers of the Weeping Angels. Even so we seemed to miss locating one of them, and on several occasions thought that we sensed movement behind us.
Luckily, as a couple, one of us could keep their eyes on the Angel while the other noted down the inportant information. With the numbers that we got we were able to calculate a likely GZ for the final. On arrival at that spot we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for all the fun. Adding a Favourite Point.

After at long last finishing Cully's book *How to puzzle Cache* (and who knew I was such a slow reader??) I got inspired to have another crack at those horrible puzzles with little to nothing to go on. Not that this cache needs any of those techniques. Okay, and I am running out of traditionals, if I want to get my finds up to four per day.
Yesterday I was out in this vicinity, so stopped by to solve the puzzle. after about 20 minutes of wondering around I found I was still missing two of the dread angels I was supposed to find, and had found two I wasn't supposed to. But a set of incomplete coords is nothing to a Seagnoid and his GPS, and I soon found the final. Which I didn't actually want to find, yesterday not being a geocaching day.
I was crook that day - a streptococcal flu. In Summer?!? Really?? Today I did a handover to my relief, and went home at lunch stopping by here to open the container. Because todaye *is* a geocaching day! And look! A logbook! Well, I was fairly sure yesterday .

This was my second attempt at this cache. The first time we were close but we just couldn't find it. But this time we practically walked right to it. Tftc
Out and about earlier this morning with a previous finder on a trip to the recycling centre followed by a visit to the Farmer's Market with a cache in between. The previous finder still had a notebook with his workings for this one in the car and remembered the location of the final so shared it with me for a QEF PnG.

Walked around the cemetery this afternoon with eltee291 and crman, gathering all the information and when we were satisfied with our numbers we headed to look for the cache. Much to our delight we found it shortly after getting to the coordinates. Sweet! Signed the log and replaced as found. Really enjoyed walking around the cemetery(even if it was raining a bit). Kind of sad so many gravesites have been damaged but still a nice cemetery. Thanks for the great puzzle cache!
Found this one today with hingis20 and crman1. We spent a considerable amount of time wander the cemetery looking for the angels and getting the info required. It is lamentable that the graves have been allowed to languish like they have. This is a beautiful cemetery with a lot of history. Thanks for this mystery cache. A fave.
Encouraged by the C.O. to have a look.
Watched the clip, not really my cup of tea, but that is purely personal choice.
Wandering around random at cemeteries caches often get ignored by us. I was getting close to be over it, then realized I had just one number to find. So did the sums without it, my first choice for the missing one worked a treat .
Nice bonus puzzle find...thanks a lot Kiwi Explorer

I usually love wandering around cemeteries but I approached this with a sense of trepidation after watching the Doctor’s warnings….Don’t blink, don’t turn your back, don’t blink! So I start walking round where angels obviously don’t fear to tread after all. …Don’t blink! Don’t turn your back and remember don’t blink… I managed to find eight angels – two that were beheaded (who could do that to an angel? Or maybe a previous visitor had to fight these two off to save being assassinated themselves?) and another that was a small ornament so may or may not have been what I was looking for. Can’t remember if it turned into stone when I looked at it now – that would’ve been the test. Anyway I must’ve blinked because I was still missing one angel. Maybe I didn’t move fast enough – so I set off again running. Its very hard not to blink while running and keep on checking behind. Then I thought it was all going to end in tears because I just couldn’t find that last one. Didn’t want a repeat performance so took a couple of guesses while they were still and very relieved to find the cache. Whew. What a brilliant cache Kiwi_Explorer – a wander through a cemetery will never be the same again! TFTC #9595
After being here in the rain - and leaving with just one angel providing information - Mrs SoBad had this one in her targets today. She suspected it would give a walk before lunch - and indeed it did. She must have blinked and missed an angel - or maybe it has moved because she found one that was not informative. With a less significant piece of information missing, she thought she had enough to find a cache - which indeed she did. Left it as requested as well - after carefully adjusting the natural camo to a suitable level she hopes.
Historic cemeteries are always interesting and this added extra interest looking for the angels and the information they held - and trying desperately not to blink.
Thanks. A favourite.

Nice spring-like day so a good chance for jojo and I to head to the hills for some of these recently planted caches up there.
Had a look at this one on the way back. I had viewed the videos in the morning, which was quite entertaining, so knew what we were up for. Did not realise how big this cemetery was though. Took a while but got the lot first time (there was one we were iffy about) but QEF and GZ once muggles cleared. FP from us for the whole package - who would have thought cemetery caches could be so much fun? well thought out puzzle. TFTC Kiwi Explorer

This cache was on the "possibly attempt, time permitting" list. As it turned out time was no problem and we set forth locating the angels. With some luck and good fortune we located all angels and zoomed in on the cache location soaking up the sunshine. A quick find at GZ, then off to the event for a meet and greet of the local caching fraternity and brief catch-up with the CO. A fav. Thank you Kiwi Explorer
This was one of several caches we found on a very enjoyable trip to Blenheim again, the main reason, or is that excuse, was to attend an Event for International Geocaching Day.
We found we had some extra time before the Event so decided to try this one this morning rather than later in the day. As we walked in the gate we spotted the first of our targets and then a wander round soon had the next 4 and since the last number needed was not vital we took 'the average' and headed off to GZ. On the way we did spot the final target so could confirm our numbers were very near to those needed so we didn't bother altering the GPS. It didn't take long to find the cache and sign the log.
I have long planned a wander round here and today finally did it so thank you for bringing us here and TFTC Kiwi_Explorer.

*FTF* with capperz and Kiwimykl after a quick tour of the cemetery. One of the Angles was a little more difficult to find than the rest, but we soon had some good looking numbers that led us to the cache. A well put together challenge with good targets to locate. 9 August 2016 12:59 GH6710 T F T C Kiwi_Explorer

With all quiet last night when I shut down my devices, I wasn't sure when the next FTF opportunity would present itself, and left myself to wait for my own (new) caches to be published. Upon firing up the devices this morning my inbox overfloweth with a plethora of new delectations to behold. What to do first though? Looking through there was one viable option and, with a message from G H 6 7 1 0 of his potential whereabouts, set about grabbing that first cache of the day before the working day had even started.
Back to work and a procession of meetings, chats, indoor football and back to meet up with K_M to see if he's got any details towards the find. Off to G Z with G H 6 7 1 0 in tow too and all was good as we parked in amongst the weeping angels, no backs were turned.
A combination of working together and splitting up into singles managed to garner 5 of the required numbers but with a tight deadline to be met we tried a series of options for the final digit before coming up with a likely final hiding place (where I'd initially presumed the final would be)
All good at G Z and names were added in the Gold medal position (see what I did there, Olympic 'joke') and replaced as found.
Subject matter is right up my street and I enjoyed watching the clips again, and immediately yearning to watch the whole episodes again!
Now back for yet another meeting . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Note to self. Never underestimate the resourcefulness of a geocacher seeking to find a plastic box. Cache page updated slightly.
{FTF} with GH6710 and capperz. Raisinpig was invited but she decided to get physical and go to the gym instead (she probably wanted to play Pokémon Go).
Capperz asked if I was keen to go after this cache after a meeting we attended earlier this morning. Never one to turn down the opportunity of a FTF, I was good to go. Capperz had another 'meeting' to go to, so I used the time constructively and search the MDC Cemetary Records. Although they aren't entirely accurate, or complete they did provide some information that was to prove helpful later on in the search.
By the time capperz had returned from his meeting, GH6710 had returned from a successful SAR in the Northbank ranges so he was invited along as well. Arriving at GZ, there were some obvious Weeping Angels and as we inspected each one we gathered the necessary numbers, eventually leaving us looking for the final (and most critical) one. Figuring this could be a 'Fallen Angel' which could be a bit tricky to find, we used the empirical method of working out the number until we got a set of coordz that looked likely. In the end, if I had of looked at the research I had completed on the MDC Cemetary Records while waiting for capperz it would have confirmed the unknown number.
The cache was a QEF in the general area capperz said it was likely to be as we originally approached GZ.
