Logs

15-Jan-17
Due to repeated incidences of deliberate spoilers & photographs being posted on several online social media sites & in cache logs, by a small cadre of relatively new cachers , our caches no longer fit the D/T levels or challenges as intended.
Add to this the often spiteful/derogatory & negative comments logged and/or posted online by these same few people, an increase in 'muggle' (?) interference & the disappearance (?) of several caches in recent days, as well as verbal attacks in general conversation, & we have come to the unfortunate decision that it just isn't worth wasting our time, effort & money on placing & maintaining caches any longer.
Following repeated requests for these people to respect the caches, the COs & to follow Groundspeak guidelines by amending their behaviour, which was met with 'We can do what we like!', we no longer wish to be the subject of a few spiteful individuals' attacks & rather choose to enjoy our caching experience without their input.
We thank all those that have enjoyed our caches & responded positively & in the true spirit of Geocaching & can only apologise to those who this decision may disappoint.

As always ...
**SAFE & HAPPY CACHING**

I headed across the park from the other cache in the heat of the day. The sun was scorching today.

As I approaced the search area a couple of young muggles came past so I sat down for a rest and a feel and, luckily, I put my hand straight on the cache.

After attending the Red Centre event, Brother Colin and I stopped to gather a few caches in the area.

We took a walk around this area hoping to gather 3 smileys. There was a cricket match nearby, but GZ is far enough away to be "invisible". BC made this find pretty quickly. TFTC,, Vegan Cachers.

This is a two part log - the first part and then funnily enough the second.

So the geohubby headed up to Lake Manchester today to grab a few caches that have been bothering him which left me and the kids hanging around with not much to do. We decided to head out and just grab a couple of easy ones close to home. I checked out where the closest traditional to home was, chucked the kids in the car and off we set.

We got a car park close to GZ and the two youngest cachers ran straight off to the nearby park...yeah thanks kids... with the two older cachers in tow we headed straight toward what we knew would be GZ. Expecting a quick easy find we were up and down and around and under and through coming up with nothing. Quick read of recent logs and hey hey - I realise I know the CO. Quick message to the CO and more looking - hmmm - CO must actual have something better to do then respond to me immediately (can you believe it) so the kids and I set off to cache number two.

End of Act 1

Act 2

Enter stage left - while out and about looking at other caches close by we get a message from the CO with a little hint (well more of a huge hint lol) we finish up and head back. By this stage I was fearful of having to post a DNF so bribed the kids with moolah for the first to lay their hands on it. Much running and pushing ensued but Miss 13 came up trumps!! Log signed and cache returned! TFTC VCs Smile love your ones!

After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. We both had a good idea what to look for and soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache returned to its hiding spot before we headed on our way. TFTC

A walk across the field from Spots nut and we could see the GZ clearly! Got down to it and retrieved the container and signed the log. TFTC VC

Second stop and today was really a good day to stop and make the find for the couple here as the park was basically empty except for a couple of mum's at the playground with their kids. But of course that is nowhere near here.

There was even the added benefit for the nearby building being vacated due to the fire alarm sounding, continuously, with no sign of smoke or fire fighters to be seen. But no eyes either, so a quick find and all signed before heading back to move the car.

Out for the day with Geopartner.
After missing out on the other cache in the same park, we headed over to find this one.
Geopartner was straight into the job and came out with the cache.
Only 2 other signatures here of which one was a joint between 2 cachers so a bronze here.
Signed the log and returned it to its hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Vegan Cachers (VC) All good with this cache

After the unexpected FTF nearby, I walked over, keeping an eye on birds and muggles, especially a couple up on a balcony but their backs were turned.
With some well practised frisking, the cache was soon in hand. Nice container and all in good shape so TFTC! (Yes, you guessed correctly that I was 2TF!)
